Always the best tasting chocolates around. And now Wicked Cafe has Conscious Cup brand roasted coffee. Stopped by To get out of the rain and had a 20 oz cup of dark roast with two shots of expresso, chatted with wife. Just a good feeling all around.

Amazing organic soups and sandwiches and out of this world cream puffs pastries and chocolates made fresh daily. I catered for my party and my friends could not stop talking about the food. I go here regularly with friends angel not only love the food but the hospitality.

Wicked Chocolates - a really cute idea, but needs help with execution. I'm happy to see they have so many fans on Yelp. I pass by here every day on the way to work and it never looks busy. I finally dragged my family in this past Sunday for coffee and treats. We ended up having some bites to eat as well. First, their lime green walls are a bit off-putting. The lighting doesn't help and it makes it look very much like a medical clinic. Then you have tea cozies and fake potted flowers on wicker tables. So it is almost as if they can't decide if they want to be modern and edgy or an old-fashioned tea shop. It's also FREEZING in here. We sat by the "fireplace" and it gets warm eventually, but by that point, we were done. If they could get a decorator in there, I think they could do great things with the space! While decorating may not be their forte, baking definitely is. I like that they have chocolates AND other pastries. We ordered a small box of cookies, pecan praline tarts, chocolate-covered strawberries, mini eclairs, and double chocolate bites. All were super delish! We went for chocolate and ended up going home with pastries instead. We'll have to go back just for the chocolate and avoid looking at the pastry case. We also ate a quick lunch and had coffee from their french press. I personally found their coffee to be extremely weak, and I'm a big fan of french press. I've had it in Guatemala with Guatemalan coffee and it was not weak at all. Their clam chowder was excellent - not too thick and lots of tender clams. Mini grilled chicken Caesar wrap was good. Broccoli omelet with sausage was good, but I couldn't tell if it was homemade or microwaved? It seemed to come out too quick. They were closing up so I didn't get a chance to chat with them about the food and the bakery itself. I plan to do that next time.

I attended a bridal shower here; what a fun atmosphere for such a special occasion. Never having been to Wicked Chocolates before, I suspected we might be munching on assorted chocolates during the party. That assumption was proven to be true, but they offered so much more as well! The 'spread' was beautiful. Guests noshed on mini sandwiches (chicken salad, tuna salad), wraps, fruit kabobs (with various dips), chocolate covered strawberries and THEN came the desserts...chocolates, mini eclairs, 7 layers bars, cake bites and more. Wow! Everything was delicious and the sweets addict in me was completely satisfied. One con: Wicked isn't vegetarian friendly when it comes to their sandwich/wrap selections, so I likely wouldn't stop here for anything other than their chocolates and pastries Wicked Chocolates also sells coffees and teas (quite a few varieties), but I'm not a drinker of either. Other guests said that the coffee was delicious. The shop is located in a strip mall. The business is bright, airy, very clean and welcoming. Lime green and brown are the main colors throughout the shop---does the "Wicked" come from the Broadway show? I'm not sure, but their logo closely resembles that of the musical's. The shop isn't overly done as far as the décor is concerned; which is great given that the emphasis is on the tasty treats. The shop accommodated a private party (about 18 ppl, including children) very nicely. Highly recommend this spot for lunch, snacks, the chocolate/sweets lover in your life and for small parties. Wicked has a decent sized catering menu as well. Wicked is roughly 30 minutes from where I live, but I'd still like to special order a cake from them at some point. What a hidden gem!

I treat myself once or twice a month to these chocolates. I am drawn to the Gluten Free chocolate cookies; but also love the mini chicken or tuna sandwiches and roll ups. I go in to indulge on chocolate and end up eating the healthiest of foods and LOVING IT! The atmosphere is also very cool, the owner designed it himself, great colors and very cozy!! I hear he also books small baby showers and wedding showers there...along with his desserts, that must be wonderful!

Pass by it everyday and finally got a chance to stop and am very glad I did. Ordered a birthday cake with chocolate cake, chocolate mouse filling and white chocolate frosting. It was the most delicious cake I've had in a long time. It was light not too sweet and delicious not to mention the beautiful presentation. it was a big hit. Also, will have to mention the chocolate covered caramel pretzel. omfg it was good.

A modern looking place contrasted by a comfortable feel and very warm welcome. My wife and I hit up a six pack ( of homemade chocolates that is) along with a nice mocha for my wife. They were tremendous. Forget the stopping to savor aspect of fine chocolates. I was popping in my mouth like I was at a hot dog eating contest. To be honest, I've been to high end chocolate shops before....or should I say "chocolat"....like Chris Farley once said, "El Niño" is Spanish for "The Niño"... I'll just stick to chocolate and not bust on ya'll some French. But in the end, you can keep your French, Belgium, Swiss, or shops named after some lady, and just give some of that Wicked!

I stopped by on the way home and ordered all 3 cake selections for Thanksgiving dinner - we were not sorry - wow! I needed a cake for a faculty party and ordered the chocolate mousse layer cake and it was so fabulous I ordered another for a dinner party and then another for Christmas dinner! Need I say more. Great job, Brian! I can't wait until I need a Valentine's Day cake to see what he has to offer. (I wonder how many of these I will order?) Check out his web site to view these beautiful creations.

Commented before and I want to kick up my review as the service and good were worthy of a new review. I had their savory scones paired with Brazilian coffee made by local roaster (Conscious Cup?). The coffee was prepared with a French Press and all I can say is "Wow". I haven't had coffee this good since I visited a Cafe Intermezo in Atlanta. The scone coffee combo was a mutual meld. Simply awesome place. They are serving homemade soup but more about that later.

Dear Algonquin, You are SO lucky! Brian, the owner of Wicked Chocolates used to have a shop in Park Ridge for many years. Great chocolates, baked items and brownies, How great you ask? When my wife found out that he had opened shop over 30 miles away, she convinced me into driving to pick up a batch of his 7 layer white chocolate brownies. The brownies are out of this world. I also took the opportunity to sample the wide variety of handmade chocolates. Death by chocolate! Please support this business. It is rare to find a person with the passion, artistry and skill. I am a satisfied customer of Brian for over a decade.

Was headed to a meeting when I saw the sign for Wicked Chocolates at the corner of Algonquin Rd and Lake Cook Rd. Stopped in for an iced coffee and ended up with some delicious cookies. Great selection of coffees, teas, pastries, chocolates and even mini sandwiches Met the owner too. You can see based upon his creations and enthusiasm that he has a strong passion for what he does. Stop by and check them out. Great place to lounge around or to have a quick business meeting.

We tried this new coffee shop because we like to support small businesses. The owners were extremely friendly. We had the fruit cups with caramel and chocolate dipping sauces. The fruits were fresh and so sweet. We also tried the mini pastries and with the large variety were able to try a few with no guilt for eating large pastries. Then we purchased some chocolates to go and the turles were awesome as well as the raspberry creme filled. You have to try this place-everything was great! We do wish they were open a little later because after dinner at a local Italian Resturant on Main Street we wanted something sweet and coffee-we would have chosen Wicked but they were closed. You have to try this place! No place in Algonquin has sweets this good. Oh, and we tried the mini wraps-awesome! We wish they were large size!

Great to find a little spot where home made goodness still survives. Stopped by to pick up some last minute "bringalongs" for Christmas and the owner served us personally...nice things, super friendly...will come here whenever we're in town (near our daughter's house!). Stop by!

We saw this place driving down Algonquin Road and had to turn around to try it. After getting a Chai Tea latte and some chocolates, we know we are coming back. The set up is very nice and the decor is very modern. I know I have to go back to try everything!

This little shop just opened the first week of September 2012, and we've already been there twice. They have a nice selection of teas and coffees as well as the chocolates and pastries. The pastries are nice - small, but not expensive, so you can get a few different ones rather than one big one. And the chocolates (handmade) are delicious. Just go in and get one of everything. You won't be disappointed.
