Pretty good place to go and eat sometimes the service has been a little slow but all in all not bad.

Only place open Thanksgiing Day and I understand on Sundays. Staff are pretty friendly but the food ain't nothing to write home about. Why is iceburg lettuce on the salad buffet? It's one of those places you see in a Quinton Terantino movie so I'm not sure if this place is for real or not, check out my pics!

Very small breakfast buffet with all the regular choices. The food is alright though. Service was slow but maybe they just don't have the staff. The staff is friendly and helpful, just a little overworked. Prices are fair. The place does look old and a little rundown but it's not really bad. Could be a little cleaner out front though. My boyfriend used the restroom and came back with a pretty scary report and that's saying a lot.

I've not vomited after eating here, but I don't recommend it either. It's usefulness is its being open on Sunday. In a Mormon town like Rexburg, that's something to be noted. I've been there for breakfast with my wife and in-laws, but I hardly get breakfast after the first time that I did. Don't ever get the breakfast buffet! Eggs were always scrambled underdone, the country gravy was salty yet flavorless, the biscuits stale and flavorless, the sausage was the cheapest ever, and the pancakes are always gluey. (You're making pancakes, people, not bread. Stir to combine, then stop.) There in a pinch if you need it, but get a sandwich or something.

Very decent food for the hungry traveler. Kind of reminds me of Shoneys back east. They have a breakfast buffet and salad bar. Service was attentive and freindly.

Ok, I get it. This a really, really small town and the dining options are limited. Still, I feel that JB's is taking advantage of that fact as the food is barely edible. I ordered the smothered chicken with broccoli and mashed. The mashed potatoes were... hard. How does that happen? What unfortunately series of events led to the mashed potatoes turning into petrified dinosaur turds? The salad bar was reminded me of Pizza Hut around 1987 or so, but way worse. The peas were shrunken and a strange off-green. Nothing looked fresh. This place is disgusting. I added one star for location.

I saw a number of the negative reviews here and I was nervous about eating there, but I have to say the experience was delightful. The waitress was not personable but she was prompt, attentive, and got everything right with the food being hot and fresh. It wasn't at all busy so that might have something to do with it as most of the other reviews cite staffing issues. 4/5 stars would have been 5 if busier and a friendlier waitress. But all good!

Please know that I do not normally have a complaint about a place because I know how difficult it is to work in the service industry. That said, I'm pretty sure this place is having staff issues. I walked in with a family of 5 where we stood for just a few minutes to be seated. 25+ minutes later we still had yet to even be offered water. Our server comes up and asks if we had our orders ready; I asked for 5 waters and a coffee, when she asks "but are you ready to order?". I had to say no as 2 of my family had gone to the restroom as the wait was long. Our server turned on her heel and came back with three waters which she proceeded to loudly drop onto the table in front of me, visibly sending water flying. She then spun and went off, got 2 more waters and my coffee, which she again thumped onto the table, sending more water onto the table. I had said "Thank you very much" with the first round of water, and as she straightened up, I said, "I have a question..." She glared and spun on her heel and walked away. The hostess was less than 10 feet away and was staring at us with an open mouth. I asked the hostess, "Did I say something wrong? Have I done something?" The Hostess shook her head slowly in a 'no', and I then asked, "Are you sure?" Her mouth was still hanging open. I gathered my family and walked out the door.

This place is just awful. Horrible unfriendly service and my turkey melt was not even fully cooked. The worst was the Pecan Pie. It thought it'd redeem me after the bad lunch. To my dismay the pie was even worse. This place is the pitts and the waitress was a grump.

POSITIVES: decent service with a decent price. NEGATIVES: The food wasn't too impressive. I even mistook the sugar (they had it in a big salt shaker) for salt to put on my fries, so I was upset about that (and the fact that they refused to replace them). Long wait times for our orders. PRICE: $7-15

Saturday brunch was awful. The scrambled eggs had a gray tint to then. The sausage and bacon were overcooked and the biscuits were stale. I would not go back.

NEVER EAT HERE. I don't care how hungry you are, keep driving and go somewhere else. Our breakfast took forever to arrive, looked unappetizing, and tasted worse. We saw our server, the shift manager, licking her fingers.

Though the food is usually decent, it takes FOREVER to get it no matter how slow or busy they are. Service isn't friendly, they seemed annoyed if you need anything extra. It's a shame, years ago this place was great.

There are not many breakfast places to eat at in Rexburg. You are better off getting breakfast at a fast food drive thru than going and sitting down at JB's. The restaurant wasn't very clean and the booth seats had rips and tears. We went at lunch time and was almost empty. That should tell you something. My breakfast that I ordered was not great. My eggs were cooked nicely and I enjoyed the sausage, however, the hashbrowns were VERY under cooked. Probably not going to go back again.
