Diabetics at Jamba Juice:

Eating good food at the right time can control your blood sugar, also stop you from craving wrong sort of food. Jamba Juice offers drinks in three separate sizes: 16, 24, and 32-ounce. You can choose the lowest serving size and cut down on sugars and calorie intake. If you're diabetic and concerned about the sugar intake, then you can opt for the smaller 9.5-ounce smoothies available for kids at Jamba Juice.

Foods to Avoid at Jamba Juice for Diabetics:

Jamba Juice is primarily known for its highly satisfying and nutritive smoothies and juices. Almost every smoothie and juice item on the Jamba Juice menu contains sugar. Diabetics are recommended to opt for smaller serving size while ordering at Jamba Juice. Also, avoid opting for creamy treats as all the smoothies offered in this category contain a load of sugars.

Keep the sugar content below 50g per meal at Jamba Juice and ensure that you don't follow it with a heavy meal. A small size regular smoothie is equivalent to a meal for everyone. Classic smoothies at Jamba Juice are also heavily loaded with sugars. Stay away from that section if you are a diabetic.

There are two other Bale Sandwich shops between this Waipahu location and where I live, but the drive is well worth it. You'd think all Bale shops are the same, but nope their not. Everything seems different...the bread, pickled vegetables, seasoning of the chicken, etc. Where I, unfortunately, might have given another location a 2 or 3 (ordered a chicken sandwich that kinda tasted a little like fish??), I easily give this one a 5. Perfectly made sandwich everytime and I've been going there for over 10 years now. Pho is inexpensive and my kids love it!

NOM NOM NOM BEST BBQ CHICKEN SANDWICHES EVER!!! No for real the sandwiches here are so bomb diggity good. They have pickled veggies with a some sauce though I always get extra veggies. It's $6 (cash only) but it's HUGE. I love it. Very flavorful. The chicken isn't dried out pieces but real big pieces of bbq chicken. There's a good amount of chicken and veggies and I really enjoy it. Been going often too! So yummy!!! I prefer this place over all the others for sandwiches ^__^

I love the Bale Chicken sandwich. Honestly, what I like about this place is after at least 2 visits, the lady up front who takes your order remembers you and beat you to the punch by saying, "You want your chicken sandwich today?" Boy does it feel could to be remembered! lol. Just an FYI. They do take CASH ONLY so make sure you have cash in your wallet. This is my favorite Bale for sure :) It's located inside of Don Quijote in Waipahu. Perfect lunch stop or even a snack stop after shoppng.

Overall (9/10) Food (9/10) Location (8/10) - inside Waipahu Don Quixote Price (8/10) - Great for hawaii. CASH ONLY Service (9/10) - Just shy of spoon feeding the food into your mouth What can I say, I've eaten viet food everywhere except for Vietnam, and I gotta say, the food here is pretty darn tasty. Sandwiches are GREAT, boba (bubble teas) are good, and pho broth is tasty and not diluted and pumped with msg like other ba-le's I have been to. TIP: Ba-le may seem like a chain restaurant, but each one is run independently and this one is the best one I've been to. Don't let one bad ba-le ruin you from this one. Will I be back? YES. Going there for lunch now.

This place is great! My favorite dish there is chicken curry on vermicilli and some taro tapioca doesn't hurt either! My bf likes to sandwiches made on crossant! Compared to other food places near the area (in that food court) its the best place you will find with fresh food! Advantage: CLEAN!

  • Michelle And Bernard S.

Owners here are kinda Chang! Stingy! They charge you for everything, extra lemon! Charge! Extra sprouts! Charge! Damn can't ya make the customer happy! Lol.... The food is good, I order the garlic shrimp pho! It's good, my daughter is 5 n she loves it too! I've also tried their spring rolls and those ate tasty too. This location is conveniently located in the don quijote store.

CASH ONLY! Located INSIDE Don Quijote, the food court area. So LOTS OF SEATING! *PLUS* So good, always. & so fresh! Their vegetables are bomb. (: Thai Iced Tea is also on point & cheaper than Ba-Le in Sears, Pearlridge next to Zippy's. Like half the price! Also, I like how it's closer to me from home. Haha! I totally forgot about the Ba-Le in Don Quijote...BF & I were always eating at the Pearlridge one just cause' of the convenience of shopping. (:

My boyfriend and I come here often and the lady usually knows our order because we seem to order the same thing! Bale special and their lemongrass chicken sandwich both with french bread, thai ice tea, 4 egg rolls, and we are stuff for the day. The employees are very nice but they seem to be a bit shy lol. This place really made me love viet food even more and ohhh the tofu pho is a def to try. They give a great amount for each servings. They are not stingy asians haha. FYI, I'm filipino and we can be stingy too so please don't get offended. Price is very reasonable and you can't go wrong because the portion is very pack :)

Came here to kill time and get something to eat during when Ewa Beach had black out and southbound was closed off. Same as before as my last review 1 star knocked out but still a good place to get some viet food. This time I ordered a curry chicken with rice to go. Took it home and pretty much ate it in the dark with very little light illuminating from the outside through my sliding door. The curry chicken is good it has that taste of viet style, it was hard to see what I was eating but it didn't matter as long it filled me up I was happy.

I've been here several times but specifically to get Bubble Tea while grocery shopping at Don Quijote. I haven't had Vietnamese food in awhile and was craving it but didn't want to go to an actual sit down restaurant. So I decided to give this place a shot for more than just their bubble drinks. The people working were really nice and had my food out fairly quick. I was unsure of what exactly to order. I was thinking going with Banh Mi or Pho or even both. But I saw a review from a fellow Yelper raving about their Garlic Shrimp being as good as the ones in Kahuku without the drive and grease. All of a sudden I was craving that instead of my original intentions. I ordered Garlic Shrimp with Rice Noodles, one Lumpia, and a Thai Tea Bubble Drink over Ice. I'll go ahead and second that Yelper and say that Garlic Shrimp comes pretty close! I do like the fact that it isn't greasy and it still has that great garlic taste after you've peeled the shrimp. It pairs well with the rice noodles, fresh veggies, and the sauce you pour over it all! Lumpia wasn't too bad. But me being Filipino and eating great ones at home makes me slightly bias haha. This place serves amazing food at great prices (all my food and my bubble drink was $13). I'll definitely be going again and I'll give some other stuff you fellow Yelpers are raving about a try!

Bbq chicken sandwiches are so good! Love the crunchiness of the french bread. They out fresh cilantro (Chinese parsley) pickled radish and carrots, slice of cucumber and tasty chicken strips. I've never been disappointed with their sandwiches. Sometimes I'll grab a couple lumpia to accompany my sandwich. Most of the time it's fresh and delicious. Once or twice, you can tell it's been under the warmer for awhile. I give 4 out of 5 stars because they don't take debit or credit cards. But there are ATMs nearby within a 20 second walk.

If I could give it 100 stars I would BEST BALE no doubt beef pho Bahn mi sandwich and some hot lumpias PERFECT meal.

  • Joy P.

I LOVE this place. I can never get sick of coming here. My usual order is the lemongrass chicken sandwich and the spring rolls. I can't go too long without getting my Ba-Le fix or the cravings become too great. Oh and this is my go-to spot for summer rolls! I don't like mint leaves in the rolls and that's exactly how they make it here. Sandwiches go for about $6, and the summer rolls are $5.50 for 2 rolls with the peanut sauce. Cash Only here. I'm gonna be a regular for life. :0)

This Bale shop is located within Don Quijote in waipahu. For some reason THIS particular Bale sandwich shop has some of thee best sandwiches to combo with Pho. Their bbq chicken pho is pho-king amazing!! It's a must have!

  • Ashley V.

I love Ba-Le! And the fact that I don't have to drive to town to eat here is such a plus! My lunch/dinner order is almost always the same: BBQ CHICKEN SANDWICH! (Their bbq chicken sandwich is soooooo good! If you haven't tried it, try it sometime!) & if I don't order their sandwich I'm ordering the beef pho or pho combo! The broth is so good & they give lots of bean sprouts, basil leaves, peppers, etc. They also have really good summer rolls here too! The peanut sauce with the summer rolls are awesome! Also, I like their bubble tea's & will 8 out of 10 times order a bubble tea with my meals. The one thing that I wish they'd change is their cash only policy! & that was the reason for the 4 stars. If they took credit or debit cards I am so positive they'd make more money! & more people happy! The workers here don't smile much, but you can definitely tell they work hard, which may give reasoning as to why the long faces.. But other than that they take your order rather quickly and produce quality food in a short period of time. You can't go wrong with service like that!

Environment: 1/5 Employees: 5/5 Food: 5/5 Drinks: 5/5 Cost: 4/5 Accessibility: 5/5 Total: 25/30 Synopsis: This place is a common destination for my mother and I. The same Vietnamese lady and family work here, who have been around for a number of years. Usually, I get the chicken lumpia with rice noodle plate, but since I have not had a lot of good seafood in Chicago, I decided to get garlic shrimp! It was just as good as the shrimp in Kahuku, but with less butter and grease. The best part was the Thai Tea bubble drink. In terms of appearance, nothing note-worthy, but you can be certain to not let that deter you from eating here. Environment: Not the place to sit nicely. Seemingly fast food-type of environment. People are not constantly cleaning the tables where you eat. :/ Employees: Very nice family who owns the business. Food: Garlic Shrimp: Surprisingly good. You don't have to go too far to get some delicious Kahuku Shrimp-like food with less grease and calories. Thai style!!! Chicken Lumpia: You may buy one, or buy four. Nice deal. Quite good marketing skills because even though I know that four pieces are itoo much, it was a much "better" deal. Yum! Crispy and good with the vinegar sauce. Gold! Drinks: Thai Tea Bubble Drink: I like the fact that the Thai Tea has turned into a bubble drink. Typically these drinks are too sweet for me, but not this one. It tasted just like Thai Tea on the rocks. Cost: With the lumpia, my mom's lumpia meal, coconut water, garlic shrimp, and bubble drink it came out to be $25. That is not too shabby! Accessibility: Thank goodness the place has a parking lot. Lots of parking, even though it was a holiday rush!!

Great place to eat lunch or grab some chicken lumpia after doing grocery shopping. I love the bale special sandwich. The french bread is so warm and toasty. The pate is just heavenly. They also have bubble teas and icees too. The family that runs the shop is friendly. Great for take out or just eat in the food court.

  • Bobby A.

Average pho, shrimp roll was alright. Super fast and even though it's not on the board, they do serve Pho Dac Biet, combo pho. They don't take cards so have cash. Everyone seems to like their vermicelli.

  • Kalani K.

I have had many sandwiches from other Ba-Le locations and this one is waaay sub par. There was barely any vegetables in my sandwich. I watched the lady pick strands one by one from a FULL container.

  • Tina S.

I decided on a whim to try Ba-Le's Pho for the first time. I ordered the Beef Pho and it was delish! The broth was soo good and the noodles were cooked perfectly. I don't typically like to carry cash and this place is cash only. All I have to do now is convince my boyfriend to eat here with me!

Perfect. I'm assuming "the owner" is always friendly. It's amazing how she knows what we want when ordering. This is what I call service. What makes it better is the food. Always a consistant mouthful of deliciousness.

I LOVE Vietnamese sandwiches & this place does not disappoint. My tried & true favorite is the "Ba-le Special." It is perfect everytime I order it. I've tried a few of their other sandwiches, but none of them have been as good as this one. I will never have any other than their "special." I've tried a few other dishes which were 3-4 stars. I've enjoyed vermicilli noodles & the oxtail soup. This last part is not reflective of this location, but I had to add it. I am bummed that their lunch truck outside Queens Medical Center hasn't had the "Ba-Le Special" sandwich the last 5 times I've tried to order. So disappointing.

  • Maryam B.

Eh.... Maybe it's because I'm from Cali and I'm spoiled. The Vietnamese sandwich was alright. Did not like the chicken; it seemed like it was dried.

The staff who are all family are really friendly. I've been going here almost every other week to get my bubble drink and I love them! The prices are reasonable and the food also tastes great.
