Diabetics at TGI Friday

If you're a diabetic, then you must be extra careful while dining at TGI Friday. Try the salad menu at TGI Friday to keep your sugar and sodium intake in check. Soups are great to keep you full and satisfied without munching on the unhealthy greased meat-based dishes on TGI Friday menu.

Foods to Avoid at TGI Friday for Diabetics:

While the salads are the best option for you at TGI Friday, it is recommended to avoid the Pecan-Crusted Chicken Salad containing over 1000 calories and 1,650mg sodium. Great little donut shop. They sell out early tho, so if youre going to get there after about 9am, call and have the girl put your favorite donuts aside for ya. The bearclaws are da bomb.

Got here at 8:30 am and they were almost out of donuts! What we tried though was really good, especially the glazed donut with the lighter, fluffier style dough. The lady at the counter couldn't have been nicer! Get here early!

The Donuts are amazing, but the customer service is lacking. I walked in bright and early in the morning, there was no "good morning" from the lady who was working that day. She just blatantly asked, "what do you want?". I told her what I wanted, which was a dozen donuts, and she just stood there, while I was deciding what dozen I wanted. There was no recommendations or anything of that manner. She just literally stood there, basically like a robot. After I paid, I said thank you, she didn't respond, she just went on her phone. I'm only giving it a 4 star, granted it was early in the morning. This place would get the 5 stars, if it had better customer service.

The best place to get donuts on kauai!! Prices are great. $11 for a dozen, can't go wrong there!! The boyfriend loves their maple bacon donut, kids love the glazed and chocolate donuts. They have a variety of different donuts to choose from. Coffee and cold drinks are also available, the workers are very patient while you decide what you want. Cinnamon rolls are good (get the cream cheese frosting with it too) Donuts are soft, not to sweet. Great value.

We were headed to the airport and heard about this place on the radio. So we looked it up real quick and figured we could make it in time and back to the car rental place and we did! I think we got their a little late. The lady looked like she was cleaning up and there were only a few donuts left. She seemed pretty busy with what she was doing and only friendly enough to be nice, but not friendly enough to actually be friendly. We got enough stuff to pay the $10 credit card minimum and got out of there so she could close up shop. The donuts were good, the girlfriend said the coffee was fine and the cinnamon rolls were tasty as well. That side of things was just fine, just wish we had caught her at a better time.

Pretty close to the Marriott. Unfortunately, I didn't get to try it because when I arrived, there was a note on the door saying closed on Sunday's. What kind of donut place is closed on Sunday's?

Great donuts. Freshly made everyday. Four stars only since they don't have decaf coffee. Donuts were 5 star!

Skip hotel & Resort breakfasts. Come here and try the maple bacon long john or the apple bear claw. We were too full with our pastries and coffee to try a malasada, the great Portuguese donuts. .. but there's always next time.

daylight donuts is hands down, the best donut place on kauai. it's similar to dunkin donuts, except you can't get that here! they open early, and sell out quickly. if you want your basic, deliciously glazed donut (or donut holes) you need to get here early! otherwise, you're stuck with more of the gourmet donuts. worth checking out if you're in lihue!

The best donuts I've had in a REALLY REALLY long time. Not dry at all. So moist and yummy. We stopped here multiple times on our trip to Kauai. Our favorite was the apple fritter type doughnut and in second place was the stick doughnut. Parking is never a problem and doughnuts are cheap! What are you waiting for?

  • Lacey G.

Blueberry donut- must try. Chocolate spindle donut- great. Glazed- standard. I liked this place, the donuts were soft and didn't taste like bread - which many other donut places on the island do. This is where I would go if u truly want something that tastes like a donut.

We found this place just driving and looking around. We actually had to make a u-turn so we could go, we missed the entrance to the parking lot. It's a small donut shop with a few tables. We got there around lunch time so there wasn't a huge selection but it was decent. I really didn't have high hopes for this place, but I was really surprised! The donuts are actually very, very good. I had a maple donut. It was delicious & I actually can't wait to go back again. I really shouldn't be going as often as I would LIKE to, but sometimes you just want a snack and only a good donut will do! Minus one star for not not staying open late (sorry I got spoiled with other 24 hour donut shops) And for some reason my donut cravings hit at 10pm!

I'm not much of a donut eater but when I ever do eat donuts it's usually Krispy Kreme or just a simple glazed or sugar donut would be my choice. I was having lunch at Deli and Bread this past weekend on my previous trip back home and I noticed on their counter they now serve "Daylight Donuts" and upon paying the cashier asked if I wanted a sample and so I did, I tried the maple donut and it was surprisingly good. Donut texture was soft and the maple wasn't to sweet. After hearing from a girlfriend that their donuts are super good especially the maple and the blueberry glaze I decided on my last day to go buy a dozen to bring back home to my coworkers and a half a dozen to give to my hair stylist before getting my hair did on Tuesday. I never got to try any other flavors when I went in to buy but everything in the display panel looked delicious. And note that the display panel was almost half gone when I went in before 9am and they close at 1pm! That goes to show you how popular they are. They are located in the back of Ace Hardware store in Rice street. Prices are reasonable. For my dozen donuts it cost me only $11 and some change and they even split the amounts into two different boxes. The worker there who also works at Deli and Bread is very patient and sweet. They have a refrigerator of drinks, they have coffee and a few tables to sit on.

Daylight donuts are decent donuts. They're not "wake up extra early and get there before they run out" sort of donuts. You won't find any super special flavors to surprise and delight you (unless vanilla surprises and delights you, which it might.) And on a recent visit sprinkled donuts were noticeably absent. Am I the only one who appreciates sprinkles on my donuts? It is worth noting that Daylight Donuts is especially convenient to the airport, in case you crave a glazed one on your way to and from Kauai.

Drove by when their sign caught our eye. Great Island-style service. Best Portuguese sausage rolls... had to go back for seconds!

This place was our snack go to when traveling around the island. I am a sucker for maple and Daylight delivered.

If you want donuts and coffee while in Kauai - go here! I drove up and got a dozen donuts, coffee, and milk while staying at the Kauai Marriott. It's only a 2 minute drive from the hotel, just take a right out of the hotel and take a right into the shopping center after Ace Hardware. Donuts are fresh, soft, so tasty! This is where to get a fun, yummy breakfast for your kids when you're wanting something different from the hotel restaurants.

Finally found a good donut place on Kauai!

  • Darlene B.

All the coupon books we picked up from the airport with all the ads said that Daylight Donuts had "the best donuts in Kauai." Luckily we were driving back from the local Wal Mart for swim shoes :P and were able to stop by! Located in a weird shopping center, we saw the donut sign from the street. We walked over and there weren't many donuts left. The lady said they ran out of a lot since they were open since 6 AM...it was a weekday, and we got there closer to 9 AM. We picked up 1 german chocolate, 1 chocolate with cream in the middle, and a simple plain cake donut. All decent, enjoyed them very much! Maybe they need to spice up the shop a little bit, because there is so much updating they could do! They had souvenir hats and shirts for sale too. Maybe in the future they'll have more trendy donuts like cronuts and cray flavors.

Just had their donuts today and they are soft and fluffy!! I prefer a simple glazed donut and they were perfectly light and airy! They could probably take the same dough and fry it to make the perfect Malasada. Unfortunately they don't sell malasadas here but they need to. 4 stars for only being open til 11am.

Best donuts in Kauai ....fresh made and you can tell... Get here early they are gone before 10:30at least on donut Friday...

  • Dorothy W.

Donuts were good, customer service was terrible!!! Got there at 9 o'clock so didn't expect a huge variety but still thought there would be a few more choices similar to the pictures they advertise. After paying and saying thank you to the girl working she completely ignored us...I would have given 3 stars if she had been a little nicer.

The best donuts! We arrived while they were closing because they didn't have much left. They loaded us up with the best donuts and cinnamon rolls with cream cheese frosting. These donuts do not leave a yucky film in your mouth. They are delicious!
