I'm currently sitting here eating my pizza and salad and Yelping I wanted pizza and salad really bad on my last night in Maui (sad) and this place satisfied both. It's a seat yourself place. Great for big parties. I recommend ordering a pizza on their menu and add whatever toppings you want. We ordered the margherita pizza and added Italian chicken and mushrooms. It will get very expensive if you build your own. I believe I heard the pizza maker say that the dough, pizza sauce and cheese is 8$ and add-ons can range from .50-2.50$. Cesar salad was delicious! Love the anchovies. I would eat here again when back in Maui.

This place is a joke. The menu is so misleading. They charge $1.50 PER TOPPING on a 10 inch pizza. Of course they won't tell you that up front. I literally just paid $25 for a mediocre pizza. Completely ridiculous. On top of that, the server spilled my beer and didn't even bring me a new one. Was it on the check, it sure was. Absolutely a joke. Worst meal we had on Maui. Be aware. UPDATE: If you really want to get a sense for just who is managing this place, check out the 1 star review on Trip Advisor and read the managers response. It left me speechless.

A great casual place to have a bite! We had the 3-some, Caesar salad, ahi bruschetta and iced Arnold Palmer. The 3-some is a meat lover pizza, mini 8 slices. Good for 1 or two when sharing multiple dishes. It came with sausage, pepperoni and cheese. Lots of cheese which I loved. We added spinach which really made it on point! Ahi bruschetta had a ceviche taste and the bruschetta was crispy. I really hoped for that fresh ahi poke flavor. Probably wouldn't get it again Caesar salad was typical. But it comes with toasted garlic bread which was a crispy treat, crispier than the croutons mixed inside. Panoramic views of the ocean with an eye catching Aloha mural on the wall, chil casual and local ambiance! I would recommend choosing their signatures and adding your preferred toppings. It will get very expensive when choosing your own toppings off the bat.

Fantastic! (Except don't make the mistake I did) After forgetting to make a reservation somewhere on Front Street, we stumbled across Pi! It's very similar to Chipotle, as you move down a line creating your pizza, and the ambiance is very industrial/urban based. During the day, it's quiet due to the fact that it's the very end of Front Street. At night however, there's always a really great singer/musician playing the night away! The salads are fantastic and are served in adorable little metal bowls. The pizza is really great but be aware that the jalapenos are fresh and make EVERYTHING spicy (that is partly what ruined my pizza). Besides that, it was very flavorful and delicious. The restaurant has a complete bar too. Make sure to go!

After driving around Lahaina and seeing the long wait for a table elsewhere, we found Pi. So glad we did! The concept is fun-kind of like a Chipotle for pizza. You get a table, then go order your pizza with all the toppings you want. Caprese salad was delicious, pizzas were good. I liked that they were small, like an individual size pizza. Staff was nice. The best part? Totally not food related. A young man named Nestor was playing the ukulele on the front terrace. He was AMAZING! Great voice and super friendly.

Excellent pi. Prosciutto signature Pi Just wandered in fir a snack. Oops, we ate a lot!

Who doesn't love a cold beer? Well it's extra fantastic when it's consistently served at 30 degrees of pure goodness and ultimate satisfaction with their high tech glycol system served by the handsome & charismatic bartender Sean King buuuut if your not a beer lover don't fret because their wine is on tap delivering optimum freshness, and their cocktails are delish too, if that's your thing Can't think of anything on the menu that I didn't like and I have tried most of the menu. Favorites: spinach dip, Caesar salad, sausage pizza and roasted chicken sandwich.... It's become a regular spot for sure!

First time here with my family and I must say it won't be my last. I really liked that I could make whatever I wanted on my pizza and that the size was a personal pan, just enough for me. Every time my other half and I get pizza we like different things on it. This way you both get exactly what you want. Great place to hang out, good drinks too! Definitely recommend this place if you're out with your friends and want a simple place to eat with good drinks.

  • Rina T.

The menu is misleading. Build ur own pizza $8. Start at $8. Every topping charged. Our pizza end up @$20 and its too salty and nothing special for $20 pizza. No name tag for the topping, the girl on who took the order did not explain anything. She so arrogant and not helping at all. Never come back ever. I know food its more expensive in Hawaii but i later eat somewhere else. Not worth it at all.

Pi Artisan Pizzeria is one of my FAVORITE spots to go to in Lahaina. Customer service is amazing from managers to servers. Food is EXCELLENT! My personal favorites are the pi sausage pizza and their antipasto platter. All their cocktails are AMAZING and SEAN and KELLY are the BEST! I love coming here for just Pau Hana or a quick dinner. They also have live music some days! Definitely check it out for a casual lunch or dinner!

Maui's newest pizzeria is now open at The Outlets of Maui. ATMOSPHERE: You're immediately greeted with blaring club-like background music which is just a tad too loud for a restaurant. The inside was a bit warm though I'm not sure if it was due to the pizza oven or a weak a/c system. The ocean view is gorgeous from both the covered outdoor lanai and from certain tables inside. There's a small bar area which was constantly occupied. Food ordering is done either direct from the kitchen counter or sit and wait for a server. MENU: Salads, apps, pizzas, paninis. BEVERAGE: Hurricane - This was a $3 special and was delish! I'm not a fan of mixed drinks as they give me a stomach ache but this was the exception. I have no clue exactly what was in it but it's rum-based, a little sweet and not overly strong. FOOD: Italian Spinach Dip - Warm and creamy mixture of spinach and artichokes with ricotta, mozzarella and parmesan cheeses and toasted garlic bread. Really tasty app to start with. All pizzas are one size, about 12" or so. The crusts are thin and chewy. Each pie we had was a bit spicy. Pi 808 - We eliminated the pineapples and stuck with the rest which were roasted chilies, chorizo, onions, and mozzarella cheese with red sauce. Mainstream but good. Creole - Being a cilantro hater, I could not taste it at all. Other toppings were chicken, chilis, onions and mozzarella cheese with a blanca sauce which I'm assuming is clear as there was no color. Mainstream again but good. Prosciutto Pi - Fresh prosciutto, garlic, mozzarella and ricotta cheeses with the blanca sauce and topped with arugula. Mainstream again. Forest Mushroom - This was my favorite of the bunch. White sauce pizza rocks! Topped with a minced mixture of mushrooms, onions, garlic, gorgonzola and romano cheeses and topped with arugula. Eliminated the truffle oil which is my kryptonite. Definitely would order this again. SERVICE: Everyone was friendly, smiley and professional. Our female server was great. She constantly checked on us. We met manager Bert who assisted us by adjusting an a/c vent to help cool our warm table area. He was so down to earth. Great staff! OVERALL: For some reason, Front Street has turned into a ghost town come 10pm. Thankfully Pi is open until midnight, has a bar, great views, good pizza, and excellent service. They're a great addition to The Outlets!

The pizzas are 10"...excellent ingredients and perfect chewy crust from their wood burning oven. Located in Front Street with entrance from the Lahaina Center Outlet mall. Sit outside and enjoy the view of Lahaina harbor. Biggest negative is that their music is way too loud. It's annoying and inhibits conversation. There are speakers blaring everywhere so it's hard to avoid. Suggestion to management : turn down the volume please.

Was looking forward to trying Pi, but was very disappointed. Stood in line to order our pizza, a long line that moved slowly. Took way too long to get our food and when it finally arrived at our table, the salad was "scrawny" and the pizza was "blah" Liked the Front Street location, but won't go back. I would rather drive the 35 miles to go to Flatbread in Paia.

We really liked this little pizza place! Fresh ingredients and lots of choices. It's really clean with nice fresh modern decor. Lots of patio seating overlooking the harbor. We got a salad and split it between two people as an appetizer. Then shared the 808 pi. Greens were fresh and pizza was yummy! Full bar with a lot of choices for tap beer too.

Pi serves some Ono, delicious pizza. Came in during happy hour, ordered the longboard for 3.50, pizza roll for half the price. Less than 11 with tips included. Definitely a plus that Westin shuttle drops you right out side of this place. I will be sure to come back!

  • Allison T.

The food was delicious - especially enjoyed the pi chop salad and caprese in the shape of a pineapple. Great bonus of live Hawaiian music by Weli and Kekai on the cool patio across from the beautiful ocean. The meat lovers and surf pizzas were yummy too! Service for our drinks and ref

I don't write reviews much. But this place was amazing. We tried 5 different pizzas and they were all amazing. And a delicious mojito and a tasty coconut eclair. Ask for Justin from Michigan as you server. He is the best. And he helped take down SkyNet!

  • Elise K.

Went here for happy hour and liked the atmosphere. The classic pizzas were all half off, but they weren't very good. The live music and all made it a little better, but I wouldn't really suggest this place unless you're looking for a cheap, late night bite that is not very satisfying. Good for the price though.

Had the Ahi Bruschetta and 3-some meat lovers! Amazing. Everything was so fresh. Great crust, great everything. Oh, and the view!

  • Nicole B.

Reeeeeeally good, and truly "artisan" pizza. We didn't do the whole build-your-own thing, but instead opted for some of their own creations. I had the Ahi Tataki pizza and it was SO good. Husband got the Forest Mushroom, which was also delicious. Normally when we eat out and order separate things there is a clear winner, but this time we both felt our own pizza was the superior one. The cocktails were also super fun, especially the Lavender Fizz. So nice to sit in the open air seating and watch all the boats across the street. A great lunch spot!

  • I M.

This is such a chill place to meet up with friends. They play local music in the background to keep the mood up beat. The drinks are delicious. They support local business by incorporating local produce into their drinks and food. Love their happy hour deals and they just changed their menu to add pasta. Go check it out! My only disappointment is that when I go out to happy hour I like to give the bartender what I am thirsty for and have he or she create something off the menu. The bartenders there are by the menu only. Don't get me wrong, the drinks on the menu are good. This is a great place to hangout.

  • James T.

Unclear menu and the staff was not helpful at explaining it. They just tell you to choose five toppings and don't care to answer questions. So you think the pizza is only $8 to build your own like at other chains, then you get sticker shock when the bill arrives at $20 per small pizza. For the price, you might as well go to Hard Rock Cafe next door for better food and service.

  • Micah M.

This place is great! I never leave reviews, but Lahaina needs this place. Disregard all the lazy tourists complaining about walking 15 steps to place an order, they need the exercise 'cause I've seen them on the beach. Anyway, pizza is super fresh and herbs are grown on site. Really only three good pizza spots in the west side, Prison Street, Dollies and here (Pi). 1/2 price on weekend nights is a great deal too! Wait staff is super attentive and friendly. Top notch place that won't break the bank.

I went to Pi Artisan Pizzeria expecting a tasty pizza based on the Yelp reviews. You go up to the counter where all the pizza toppings are and put in your order. Then you find your own table and then a server shows up a little later. Kind of strange setup. You would think you order your pizza from the server instead of the counter help. Do you tip on just your drink order? Unfortunately my pizza was missing one of the toppings. The mozzarella cheese coverage on the pizza was weak. This was definitely one of the worst meals I had on my trip to Maui. There are a lot of new places popping up on the mainland that have this same Chipotle/Subway style that do a much better job than this place. I can't understand why the pizza wasn't made in front of me. At least the view of the ocean was nice from my table.

I went to dinner with a few friends and we ordered the Mexican pizza, the forest mushroom with Italian sausage, another pizza with prosciutto and balsamic vinegar, a large Caesar salad and adult Mac and cheese. It's kinda pricy, we ended up with an $85 bill, but that's not surprising considering its Front street. I heard only good things about their Caesar salad so I thought I'd give it a try, but it wasn't as good as I thought it would be. The pizzas were delicious and I wish they were bigger. Will come back for happy hour!

Glad we tried this place! Some of the best pizza I've ever had. Crust is delightfully crispy and chewy at the same time. Ingredients were very fresh and it makes a huge difference in flavor. Beautiful view of the ocean. We started with the Caprese Salad. Which wasn't so much a salad but delicious ingredients (pesto, fresh cherry tomatoes, mozzarella cheese, balsamic, fresh basil) served on a cutting board with toasted slices of French bread. It was very yummy. I had the Prosciutto Pizza with Pi Blanca, Roasted Garlic, Mozzarella, Prosciutto, Balsamic and fresh Arugula. It was worth every bite. I was sad I couldn't finish it all. My husband got the Seared Shirt Tataki Pizza and enjoyed it. Only drawback is ordering system. Very odd to go sit down get drinks then go back and order. I usually only do that at a buffet.

Our group really enjoyed the Pi. We ordered a variety. Forester mushroom 9/10 Pi 3 some 9/10 Margarita 8/10 Pepperoni 7/10 Tuna 8/10 Garlic bread 8/10 A little weird ordering set up though. A good clean pizza. Would eat there again.

If you're from California and had Pieology or Blaze Pizza it's the same concept. Build you're own pizza. All the ingredients pretty good and you can taste the quality. TIP: id skip out on the "specialty or classic pizzas" and just get the "build your own for $8"....much better deal as the other menu pizzas are pricier. Also...SITE OUTSIDE AND ENJOY THE VIEW

Delicious pizza, great flavors. Friendly staff, very attentive. If you like pizza & flavor, a must stop for quick dinner. (They offer reservations if youre really in a hurry)

I want to give them a 5* but can't. They are sweet... and very friendly. The food is good but just not great. The thing that gets me is a $65 dollar bill for two drinks, two small salads and two small pizzas (neither of us could finish a whole one) and you can't have a half and half order. Probably won't go back.

We were looking for a good pizza place and found a GREAT pizza place! Gourmet pizza made anyway you'd like them or you can select your own toppings. The four of us shared 4 different pizzas and weren't disappointed by any of them. All organic, farm to fork ingredients. We shared a chopped salad to start it was so fresh and delicious. Then the pies started coming out...the Prosciutto was first to come out with it's thinly shaved pieces of prosciutto and large pieces of garlic and the balsamic glaze I think turned out to be everyone fav. we also had the Pi 3 some which had three kinds of meat, the Pi808 which was a hawaiian style with pineapple (yum!), and the BBQ pie. You really can't go wrong with any of them, and if you sit on the Front st. side you get a great view of those beautiful Maui Sunsets!

We were recently in Kapalua and have wanted to try this joint since it opened. As my friend was shopping at the outlets I popped in for take out.... There was absolutely nobody in the place at 5PM which was concerning.... I ordered 2 pizzas, 1 margarita and 1 three meat speciality... plus a meatball as the description sounded pretty good. Then I watched an older guy and a young kid make the pizzas... The young kid was obviously bored with little to do waiting for the next order to happen. Then it happened.... he ran his bare hand through his hair and then was picking at his ear... Another customer came in and without any glove this same kid used that same bare hand to make the next pizza... Both pizzas ended up in the garbage... the meatball which was prepared by someone else was pretty decent, expensive - but decent. Over the next week when driving by we looked to see how busy they were and reagardless of what time we passed by the joint was always empty. Reading some of the reviews here and then the nasty responses from owner/management.... one response even called the reviewer a douchebag, I doubt this place will still be in business when we return in December. Too bad...

Service was great, and so was the food. Atmosphere was very inviting and the 2 guys that served us were very nice and friendly. We got the margarita pizza and caprese salad, which were delicious. Also highly recommend the Blue Lavender Fizz drink. Delicious! Also, if you have room for dessert, definitely try their New York cheesecake. Heaven.

My husband, son and I, done at the beach, were in the mood for pizza and decided to check out Pi Artisan Pizzeria at The Outlets of Maui on Front Street in Lahaina. Interesting little place. I'm really glad we stopped because my son was hungry and restless. You walk up to the counter and order and they get started making and baking your pizza right in front of you! We ordered the Classic pepperoni pizza that's baked in a Kiawe wood-fired oven. Also ordered the vegetable panini sandwich to share with my son. He enjoyed it with his slice of pizza. They're not big pizzas, probably like a large personal size, but the crust is thin and toppings are reasonable so you don't feel stuffed. The crust was soft & light and held up well. Yummy, yummy, oh so good! We can't wait to come try another kind on our next trip.

Way too expensive for pizza. All the good restaurants we had looked up on yelp were packed so we found this place almost empty so we tried it.the pizza are ALL individual size equal to about 3 pieces of round table but not as good and 15 bucks each.ice tea and lemonade were 4 bucks each.this place is overpriced and the pizza is mediocre at best.75.00 plus tip for a family of four for pizza. staff was friendly but the place is a rip.

I love love love pizza but don't waste your money here. It's cute and has a nice view but that's about the only thing going for it. This is the only time I've taken one bite of a pizza and said "let's go and get a pie from somewhere else"! Their pies are only 10 inches and the pictures online make it look so delish. The photographer is clearly far better than the chef. If they even have one; I could've sworn I took a bite of frozen pizza. My hubby (who eats anything and even likes frozen pizza) agreed and said it tasted like tostino's! The mozzarella cheese was definitely not fresh! Trust me when I tell you that your money will be wasted if you go to pi artisan! I'd rather go hungry.

    (1)
  • Eric I.

Seems like everywhere you get a make your own pizza joint is popping up. This place is a little different because they sell alcohol and pushing the whole artisan pizza vibe. It's a decent deal for a couple, but if you take out the family you are better off going with a single large as opposed to four individual pizza's.

**If you read nothing else, read this**: MEATBALL. CHOPPED SALAD. SAUSAGE PIZZA. Their meatball is a family recipe topped with marinara and freshly-made (in the restaurant) mozzarella cheese. Personally I think the chopped salad was SO good. Pepperoni, pepperoccinis, and one of the best vinegrettes. Then onto the sausage pizza. Hands down best sausage pizza I ever had! You won't be disappointed. Blueberry lavender spritzer is so refreshing and not too sweet. And for you gluten free folks... Gluten free pizza crust!! It's not listed on the menu but be sure to ask your waiter if you have an allergy. Prime location. Great views. Great pizza. Must go!

Let me just start by saying, "there were flies in their meat balls and the employee DID NOT do anything about it after I explained a deep concern." I have heard great news about this place from friends and family and decided to take my mom with me to try their food on my last day on Maui. The restaurant looks amazing, the prices were reasonable, and the bar seemed popping since it was happy hour. Unfortunately, as I was about to order, my mother pointed out that there were flies lingering around the food and roaming in their meatballs. I was bummed, after hearing great reviews, I didn't want to let that ruin my experience. In doing so, I told the worker who was making the pizzas about the flies. He did not look too happy, as I pointed out where they were. The worker then waves his hand to direct the flies away from the food. ****BUT THE FLIES WENT BACK ON THE MEATBALLS AND HE DID NOT DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT!!! IT SEEMED THAT HE DID NOT NOTICE THE FLIES IN THE MEATBALLS FOR A WHILE AND THEY WERE ON IT FOR A LONG TIME!! **** I can't emphasize how bad it seem other than writing it on caps lock. My mom and I left the restaurant without trying a thing. I fully support local businesses but it was the WORST first impression. ***They should get a cover like subway has to protect the food from flies.***

Went to Pi for half off cocktails and pizza, had a cocktail in house and ordered the pizza to go.. Waited forever and didn't get half off because we got it to go?? Got home and the pizza is terrible, burnt and made sloppy. There were only 3 people in the place, cmon guys. We have given this place so many chances already! We will definitely not return to Pi again.

This was a great find and a pleasant surprise in Lahaina. I really wasn't in the mood for pizza but my husband talked me into it and I'm glad we had dinner here. We ordered the garlic bread, two pizzas and drinks. Everything was excellent!! Service was great and prices are good for the quality of food. The pizza had a great wood fired flavor and crust is excellent, light and crispy. Also highly enjoyed the marina for the garlic bread. Would highly recommend it and would go back again anytime!!

Ahi tataki pizza - one of the best pizzas i've ever eaten. Also greatly enjoyed the bruschetta, just delightful. Beautiful ocean front view, good prices for the quality of food, full bar with a big tv, and seating for big groups.

Pleeeeease...what a horrible value. The $15+ pizza was tasty BUT the size of a tiny personal pizza you'd see at a high school lunch counter. The beer was nearly $10 and the $10 cocktail was nearly alcohol free. VERY VERY VERY over priced. Just say'in. Won't be back.

Absolutely fantastic food!! We had three different pizzas, a caprese salad (dare i say the best i've EVER had), and the ahi bruschetta. Everything was unbelievably tasty - a must visit.

Great view and location. Menu can be slightly difficult to navigate at first, but is worth the discovery. The bar menu is clean and has a decent amount of choices on tap including fire rock which I had never seen before. The service was great , it can be a little confusing at times though because it's a sit down restaurant with stand up options, if that makes any sense. Pizza was great tons of options and good prices.

Loving the hand crafted cocktails made by the handsome bar staff!! Great pizza, can't wait to try their gluten free crust next time I come!! The live music and late night happy hour can't be beat!!

We ordered the chopped salad which consisted of fresh arugula, tomatoes and peppers which was delicious. We had high hopes. I ordered a margarita pizza, my friend ordered a pepperoni and basil pizza. Maybe we are pizza snobs having enjoyed pizza in Italy, NY and chicago. Unfortunately this was a rare case where we couldn't eat the pizza because of the poor quality and bland taste . I hate to be so negative, but We both agreed we've had better pizza from Domino's. Great concept and friendly staff. But how people give this such high ratings is surprising to us.

Quick service, great views and sunset. Pizza was actually pretty good. A little pricy for the size of the pizza. I made the mistake of sitting outside. It was very noisy and the misters were getting me wet.

  • Aleks F.

The most disappointing discovery was the Forest Mushroom pizza was not much of a forest when I asked what the forest consisted of (button and shiitake). But that wasn't it. I asked for extra mushroom and I did get what I asked for but it was missing the most important part of the forest- the shiitake on the entire pizza! I called them out on it and their reply was that they didn't have any delivered at that time. It was a Sunday afternoon. The extra mushroom order was taken off the bill however, at that point, I was still charge full price for a Forest Mushroom which was really just simple ass button mushrooms on a pizza. The disappointment trumped everything else that was good and in turn took me away from being a fan hence the three star rating.

Loved it. The best pizza we've had outside of Italy! We had Seared Ahi pizza and Forest Mushroom and they were delish! They were on thin crust which we love. The place overlooks the ocean with a huge outdoor and indoor area. The staff were very friendly, too. Just what you expect in Maui. We would definitely go back when we're in Maui. Thanks!

I recently visited home in July. I was out with a friend and could not decide on where to eat but I'm glad we found this restaurant. It's the perfect location! Just right on front street with no buildings blocking your ocean view! I had the mushroom pizza with the egg on top and it was delicious! I love how you have the option to created your own pizza! First time here and it definitely won't be the last! I do want to point out the bartender, Sean. Best service ever!

Visiting Maui from Cali... Local friends told us to check this spot out. Love how you order your pizza "subway style" meaning you get to tell the cooks exactly what you want while checking out the toppings behind the glass. They have a variety of toppings that you don't always see at pizza spots. You have the option to create your own or order their specialty pizza's. I went a little crazy with the topping since I couldn't decide... Haha!! Nice and friendly staff!!!

Great pizza, but the way of ordering (going up to a bar) is a little annoying, and it's expensive. Great view from the back patio if you sit out there.

Great food and drinks with a killer view! Dough, sauces, meatballs, sausages, mozzarella cheese - all made fresh in house! You can taste the farm to table difference. A unique ordering experience - you order directly with the open kitchen - all the ingredients right in front of you so you can see the quality of the food you'll be served! Not to mention the impressive kiawe wood fired pizza oven! The hand crafted cocktails are amazing! The kaffir ginger sour is my personal favorite! Try the ahi tataki pizza, forest mushroom, bbq Pi & pi 3-some! You really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. You can even build your own! Check out the happy hour too! You won't be disappointed!

Delicious, thin crust pizzas with fresh quality toppings. Salads are crisp, fresh and tasty. Super friendly staff, great prices and views make this a place I plan on visiting often!

Pizza the way it should be. Brick oven! Pizza cooked to perfection, nothing over or under cooked. Person working the oven knows how to fire a good pizza. Nice atmosphere. Little hard to find but worth the adventure.

This was some of the best pizza we've ever eaten, and with such an amazing view of the sunset! We had such a great dining experience with great service, that this will always be a favorite when we're in Maui. We're hoping they'll open a Seattle location!!

I usually don't like writing bad reviews, but this feels necessary. I should've known from the emptiness of the restaurant that it wasn't going to be that great. But we just went for it anyway cause who wouldn't want pizza with an awesome view? (The pretty blue pristine Pacific Ocean with the island of lanai) Anyways, there was a sign to seat ourselves so we did. We sat outside because I wanted to see the ocean view and be in fresh air. They had all these fans blowing mist to keep you cool. So the waiter comes by with a tiny half page menu with all the food on it with the 9 item drink menu was already set on the table. We ordered a couple beers and after deciding what to eat, he says we have to go back inside to order? Wait what? You can take our drink orders but I have to walk myself to a counter to give them my food order. Weird?? Then! The pizza came and it wasn't even a foot in diameter. $14 for a mediocre size pizza. No. No. The boyfriend was not having it at all. Don't get me wrong it tasted pretty good. Not good enough to compensate for its size. Whatta trap and a waste of such an amazing view with crap food. Sorry bout it.

A great location with a great view of the ocean. We had their chopped salad and Caesar salad, both very well done. But the order of Pi Garlic Bread was delicious with a side of marinara. A little different when you walk in, you need to order first then find a table and order your drinks. A waiter will bring your food to you.

Yes!!! Exactly what the Westside needs. Had three different pizzas and all were awesome. As was the meatball sand which. The pizza dough is perfect and the toppings are fresh and delicious. Ewa & Bradley's reviews are exactly what is wrong with Yelp. What kind of person goes to a place on the first day it is open and then writes a novel about how horrible it was? I've been three times and it keeps getting better. This place is good and it is going to keep getting better.

Ocean front dining. Great cold beer selection and awesome pizza with a great menu selection. A little pricey but I would go back in a heartbeat.

We are here on the way to the hotel. It had great oceanviews and ac!! The drink service was attentive. We ordered several different pizzas-808 bbq and prosciutto. Bbq was deemed the winner. I also had bbq wings which were their bbq special. They were crispy and had a great sweet flavor. Loved the dipping sauce. Overall it was a good find

The good, the bad, & the ugly... On their very first day open for business. The good... Pi is located right in downtown Lahaina, with free validated parking in the outlet parking lot. Really rad ambiance- modernly decorated, awesome bar, cool paint job. They have a garden out by the door(which would have been super awesome if they had been taking care of their plants- most were flooded with water, and probably won't last long.) They have outdoor seating, which would be a great place to watch the sunset with a cocktail. I had the Pi Chop Salad- it was really delicious!(note: the 2 stars is for the salad!) The bad... The menu is quite confusing, and if you have questions, the space between where you are and the employees is so far that you can't hear each other. Consider playing charades just to get your order in. They told me "it's like subway" and the first thing that came to my mind was: wow, I really hope it's not like subway. The custom area is only really cool for people ordering custom pizzas, and since they already have a full menu of pre-designed pizzas, don't get stuck standing there not knowing what to do or where to go. Very confusing. After putting in your order(twice, if you give your order to the wrong person) they give you a number and tell you to choose a seat. After sitting down we were approached by the server who asked us if we wanted anything to drink. We hadn't seen a drink menu anywhere(which is by the bar, by the way) so we asked her what there was. She looked very confused. I know it's the first day and all, but this is a very basic question. We ended up asking for water. The food had this weird spice to it(we ordered the porchetta panini and the 808 pizza) and we drank the water. We had to ask for re-fills, which took a long time(especially when your mouth is burning) and then when the server thought we were done- the glasses disappeared and never returned. We didn't see the server again so had to ask for our bill. Which is when it got ugly.... The ugly... The bill was wrong. Not once, not twice, but three times. We found the manager, who took it back to the server, who still got it wrong. Instead of the manager using it as a teaching/learning experience, it just turned into a nightmare for all of us. Lesson: check your receipt carefully. I understand that it's the first day, and I understand that people are still learning new systems and stuff, but geez- don't leave us hanging. Secretly, we wanted to just walk out after not being able to pay properly(i really don't think anyone would have noticed)- but we are better people than that. I was frustrated with a lot of things and decided to mention some of it to management(because I really, really wanted to like this place. I've been looking forward to it since November)... But management took it kinda like a joke and I decided that maybe the right people will hear things if I left a review online. I don't know if I'll be back, but if I do- I'll be sitting at the bar with a salad and a cold beer or a fancy cocktail. I still really, really want to like this place- but still pretty frustrated.

We ordered our pizza and tried to find a clean table away from screaming children. This was difficult because there were at least 10 dirty tables. Finally I cleaned a table myself. A server brought my drink and told my boyfriend they were out of coke. Really??? Our pizza would have been good if the oven they cooked it in was clean. There were spots of charcoal tasting pieces all over the bottom of the pizza. The view from the patio is beautiful so hopefully they will work on improving service and cleanliness.

Love everything I've had here. And I've been 3 times. The staff are super nice and helpful if you can't figure out that you order first and then sit down in front of the killer view of the sunset across the street. And they have Angry Orchard on tap which I love!!!

First, the customer journey was very unclear and uncomfortable. We walked in from the street side and there was a sign telling us to seat ourselves, so we did. We sat for about 15 minutes and nobody came to talk to us, so my wife suggested they may have a counter to order from. Sure enough, they did. It's by the other entrance. So I walked up and asked if I was supposed to place my order here and they said yes. I ordered a pizza and a salad, then started to order drinks. That's when the counter guy told me to order those from the table. I went back and the waiter was finally there, getting a drink order from my wife. No big deal, but a little confusing if you don't know the drill. The drinks were good. My wife got a blueberry lavender cocktail that she really enjoyed. The salad and pizza were delivered together, which is always a drag. It forces you to either eat the pizza first or eat it cold. Especially when you're sitting outside with a breeze. The salad was fine. I don't remember the name of it, but it was the last one on the list with spinach and arugula. The pizza, on the other hand, was bland. I think the one we ordered was called the Pi 801. It had house made chorizo, grilled chilies, pineapple, and Maui onions. With all those strong flavors going on, I expected more zip. Not so much. Kinda boring. I could have used table salt, which wasn't there. The crust was excellent, but they toppings were meh.

First time here and we liked it a lot! Had a large salad and one margarita pizza and it was the perfect amount for the 2 of us. You get to create your own pizza on freshly tossed dough. There bottomless ice tea is really good and comes in a mason jar which is cute. Add papadew peppers to your pizza they are awesome in flavor! The view is amazing by the way. Your basically sitting on the beach! :)

Went by around 1 pm me thought it was closed as no one there. Asked at one of the stores and they said it was open. Confused that it's set up like a cafeteria where u line up to order. They didn't explain that u can choose ur toppings and add to their pizzas so I just ordered the tuna tataki one. Never refilled my water on a very hot afternoon in Lahaina. Pizza was pretty good. Not sure if I like rush back

Excellent local restaurant, artisan pizza for sure, but priced very reasonably. Order at counter - one of their "classics," or you can choose your exact ingredients. Full bar too, including Hawaiian beers & creative tropical drinks. They serve your drinks & food at your table. Excellent restaurant concept, to combine easy ordering with table service. We'll be back!

We came in late a few nights ago, and they were able to seat 10 of us outside. Actually, they were pretty empty, but it was 8 or so on a Thursday night. Ordering is a little strange, but I didn't think it was a huge hassle to have to get up and go inside to order. I had the Prosciutto and it was awesome. My friend had she hated... she thought the cheese may have been bad, and she couldn't even eat it. Drinks were good.

Because this yelp account is new, I am catching up on my reviews over the past few months. I lunched at Pi Artisan Pizzeria on 12/15/14, and I LOVED my lunch. t was clean and pleasant and somewhat industrial-hip. I was greeted immediately by a gentleman near the bar and escorted to the counter. In front of me was an array of vegetables, meats, cheeses, and sauces. The guy behind the counter asked me if I preferred meats or vegetables. Having ODd on carnivore fare over the weekend, I chose vegetarian. He suggested the Margherita pizza. My server was Nicole, and she was prompt and helpful from the start. She asked for my drink order (a Coke) and offered seating on the ocean side of the building for the view. I told her I loved where I was sitting and told her I'm a resident and got to look at it every day. She laughed and was very sweet. If there is room, I like to leave the makai view for the visitors. I was excited for my pie to arrive. It didn't take long. My beautiful pie was placed before me, and one slice was slightly pushed forward as if it were begging me to eat it first. I obliged and took my first bite. The first flavor that filled my mouth was basil - not too much and not too little. It was perfect. The cheese was smooth, and the crust was crisp and well-made. Next came the tomato. Would it live up to the childhood expectation of tomato goodness? My teeth met the skin of the tomato and bit through. Juice city! It was amazing, and it certainly matched the yumminess of those childhood pies. AMAZING. Also, I was happy to find that they have vegan options as well. If you are meat and/or dairy free, you will not be left slumping toward the door crying for pizza. Pi Artisan Pizzeria has you covered. With no dairy in the dough, the options for dietary needs are seemingly endless. This goes on the list as a must-go for visitors and residents.

I give this place for 5 stars for the menu & location! However, as a frequent customer I would say that the staff is not very welcoming to locals (except for the manager he is very genuine & hard working). The set up to order is not as elevated as their menu so, start at their food bar. BUT, I would recommend this place if you are a foodie / love a great cocktail! Sit outside & watch the sunset!

Pi artisan pizza was some of the best pizza I have ever had. The ingredients are fresh and locally sourced, with a wood-fired crust that is crisp on the outside, but soft on the inside. The view is excellent when inside or outside, and if you are having dinner there, you can get a great view of the ocean and sunset. My only complaint is that custom pizzas can get a bit pricey, but the pizzas on the menu are well priced. Overall, Pi Artisan Pizza has great food and views, and it is a must for anyone visiting Lahaina.

Excellent thin crust pizza. The pepperoni is really good. I got there right before closing and they still made me pizza. It was also done very fast . Thank you so much! This is a great late night spot. I think I talked to the owner and he was very nice. A lot of places in the area close early.

I understand why there was absolutely no one in the place when I showed up. Are you open? Weird ordering concept. Then when you get your food small salad portions and bland pizza. GO SOMEWHERE YOU WILL ENJOY!!!

This place was awesome! My husband and I wanted to get lunch and explore the outlets and this was a great lunch place in the middle of the outlets so it worked out great. You can build your own pizza but I just opted for the margarita. Their drinks are awesome too, I got some sort of blueberry lavender drink that was fantastic. The service was great and the patio area was pleasant.

Came here for a drink as we waited for our evening flight out of Maui. Beautiful ocean view and friendly service. If we didn't already eat, we would have here... the food smells amazing! Gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because no gluten free beer option (they do have Angry Orchard for those that like cider).

Love this place, atmosphere is perfect, service is great, food sizes are nice! My husband & i eat & one pizza fills us up, a family 4, easily full with only 2 & the prices are perfect! There drinks are great! We get the surf pizza & YUM!! Def worth going & they validate parking as well

Me and a friend were lucky enough to stumble upon this place while staying in Lahaina. I'm usually very critical of pizza places, being Italian and having been exposed to plenty. This place uses very fresh ingredients. I got a prosciuto pi, my friend got a porchetta. Both were great and the servers here are very attentive and friendly. I highly recommend you check this place out, you won't regret it.

I really want to love this place. I really do. The ordering process is similar to Panera Bread, you can either order pies from the menu or build your own, assembly line style. You seat yourself, then have your pizza delivered to you. One pizza came very early, then the rest minus one came out about 25-30 minutes later. One of the orders was accidentally swapped with the table next to us. My pie was yet to come out, so we told the waiter. Perhaps the waitstaff was brand new, or were having a bad day, but another wrong order was brought out in its place. The order came after about another 30 long minutes with an apology from the owner. The food was great, menu pies were very original, and the look of the restaurant was very clean and fresh, but the food came out very inconsistently and the waitstaff needed lots more training before the joint was opened. They took the wrong order and the very late order off the bill, which was appropriate, and the owner was very friendly and apologetic, so I wouldn't give this one star. The place has great potential. Be sure to check it out and let me know when they iron out the kinks.

The pizza was great 10'' pies that if your hungry you'll finish the whole thing due to the amazing flavor. The drinks were great and reasonably priced. I would go back again and again

I really like that we could build our own pizza. Plus you see the ingredients right in front of you so you know what you are getting. We ordered two pizzas, one classic Porchetta Pi and one was our own veggie creation. Both were really good. One thing that I would like to see on their menu is a choice of wheat dough. I really enjoyed their outside patio with ocean view. The music that they play was way too loud and it was radio style current hits music, which makes this restaurant more suitable for casual dining than for a special occasion dinner.

We went in on their first day of being open. I have got to say, they have a lot of kinks to work out. The concept has promise (upscale/casual wood-fired pizza) but the service and product left something to be desired. Product: The menu was a little confusing. The menu board uses abstract descriptions for topping categories. (ie: "Produce Farm", "Dairy Farm", "The Ranch" to represent veggies, cheeses, meats). Even one of the pizza makers couldn't explain it. The menu board doesn't list the toppings. But if you look down at their make table as you order (think Subway) you can see all the toppings labeled/priced. The pizzas we ordered were a Pepperoni and A "Classic" called Porchetta Pi. The pizza makers were confused and hesitated when they crumbled fresh mozzarella and put it on the pepperoni pizza. The Porchetta, however, they only put on about an ounce of grated Romano cheese on the bottom. Not enough to make the pizza enjoyable. The pepperoni pizza tasted much better since it had the mozzarella on it. The tomato sauce was adequate but did taste a little "tinny" to me. The dough tasted good but was soggy which could have been caused by the toppings. Service: I realize it was their first day being open, and early in the day, but they didn't have ANY informed staff available. I asked the guy that brought our pizza if it should have more cheese on it, he said he wound find out...he never came back. We then asked our waitress the same question. She bounced around from staff member to staff member for awhile then came back and said that the normal recipe did not include mozzarella. We noticed during our visit the staff seemed to be getting trained on the order-taking system. We got the impression they had a glitch. Atmosphere: Simple, upscale feel. Indoor/outdoor seating, ocean view available. You place your order at the counter, watch your pizza being made, they give you a number placard, then you find a seat. The waitress then comes to your table and retrieves your placard so she knows which order is yours. Its not a horrible system but it had to be explained to each customer. Price: All pizzas are 10 inch. Pizzas average $13ish. It is normal for Lahaina. I will go back and try them again to see how they progress. It was their first day, so I am not sure what their "normal" is going to be.

The new kid on the block has it right! Food is awesome! Everything is local and fresh. Even the decor is made of local wood. It is a new restaurant so they are still working out a few little kinks, but our experience was great!
