Diabetics at Pizza Hut

Pizza is neither a great meal nor the worst for diabetes. All you need is some fact check and monitoring while ordering your pizza. Diabetics can opt for thin crust or skinny pizza at Pizza Hut and avoid the cheese topping to cut down on the excess fat and sodium. If you have diabetes, then ensure to check your portion size when you order a pizza. One or max. two slices are enough. You can also avoid meat if possible and go for wings as a meat option.

Foods to Avoid at Pizza Hut for Diabetics:

You must avoid Meat Lovers Pizza with Original Pan Crust as it contains over 1000mg sodium and will add 470 calories in your meal. You should also skip Super Supreme Pizza Large Original Pan Slice which is too high in sodium and fat. Chicken wings are often tempting but you must control and restrict yourself from ordering Traditional Honey BBQ Bone-in Wings as it can add up to your sugar levels if you eat too many. On average, a person orders or consumes six chicken wings pieces in a day.

Sides must be avoided at all costs especially if it's Bacon Cheddar Fries with Ranch Dipping Cup for its high sodium content. You must also avoid New York Style Cheesecake with Applesauce as dessert as one slice of this dessert item contains 86g sugar. Pizza Hut also offers other Italian dishes such as Pasta. However, you must skip Spaghetti with Meat Sauce and Meatballs and Garlic Bread as it is too high in sodium and sugar.

Fast-food restaurants like Pizza Hut are not recommended to dine-in if you are diagnosed with high blood pressure. High Cholesterol at Pizza Hut

Whether large, medium or small, a pizza can boost your cholesterol levels instantly. You shouldn't eat more than one slice of any pizza your order at Pizza Hut. If you're concerned with your high cholesterol, then it is wise to take your friends to Pizza Hut and share pizza among them slice by slice. You can also try pasta at Pizza Hut but ensure that you are not adding any dressing or extra cheese as you order pasta.

Foods to Avoid at Pizza Hut for High Cholesterol

Keep your pizza intake to one slice to avoid high cholesterol intake while you dine at Pizza Hut. Skip Supreme Pizza Large Original Pan Slice as it contains a high amount of fat and the sodium levels are also very high. Avoid the desserts section completely to limit the fat and sugar intake. You can also limit yourself from ordering non-veg pizza and skip adding sides or dressing on your orders to ensure that your cholesterol is in check while dining at Pizza Hut.

I haven't dined in Pizza Hut for YEARS. I can't remember the last time. We met up with extended family and took up a long table on a Monday night. Our waitress (I wish I knew her name) was great...tall, local girl (in case her Manager reads this). She was friendly and helpful and genuine. I was in pizza HEAVEN! My brother-in-law ordered three different kinds of pizza - one had olives, another veggie and cheese for the kids. There may have been one more; I can't remember. Anyhow, the pan pizzas were hot and delicious!! I loved refilling my drink, once with a sweetened green tea and next, my childhood favorite, rootbeer. We also had a huge plate of caesar salad. I think he was able to visit the salad bar once, so he filled up the large plate with salad and we all enjoyed. We also ordered their two new desserts - the chocolate cookie pie and the brownie pie. BOTH amazing, but I must say: the chocolate cookie pie was to die for. The restaurant was clean and spacious and the chairs comfortable. The staff was friendly when I asked for extra napkins. I think I preferred eating the way we did (as opposed to eating from the buffet maybe). I would definitely eat there again - especially with a large group. It's perfect for families. Great job!

My son was looking forward to trying the new hot dog pizza at Pizza Hut, so I called to make phone order for pick up at the Kaneohe location. The girl on the phone said it would be ready in 30 mins, at this time it was 7:07pm. Sent my son to pick up the order. He left the house at the 30 minute mark but went to pick up something at another store first. He got to Pizza Hut at around 8:00pm and the pizza wasn't ready. Then 15 mins later they hand my son two clearly damaged pizzas boxes with pizzas that were obviously (by sight and smell) burnt. This is not the first time we've waited over an hour, only to get sub-par pizza. They need to have better communication between their call center and onsite locations so that they can better meet whatever expectation they are putting out there so as not to put out an inferior product in an effort to meet that expectation.

I recently moved to back to Kaneohe. I haven't had buffet since my return but I frequently call the 643-1111 number to order pizza for carryout. My pizzas so far have always been hot, fresh and delicious! They have also had good deals whenever I call such as two personal pan pizzas for $5.99 or once I got a one topping for a good deal less than $15 I think that one was a manager special though. Looking forward to ordering pizza from here for a long time ;)

Been on a gluten- free avoidance diet for the past 15 months. Ready for pizza!!!! Went online to order and WOW has the menu changed! So ordered cheese n bacon stuffed crust, meatballs, bell peppers, pineapple, spinach, onions, tomatoes, garlic and balsamic drizzle (whatzat?). omgoodness! Yum! Hubby loved it too. He commented it "was not greasy".Very filling, had 2 pieces. Eating more tomorrow. Promised in 40 minutes. Took 60. It's ok. Worth the wait!! Go Pizza Hut!!

Service was okay. If you're going to have the buffet, beware of the really tall chick of enforcing the rules of not sharing Buffett. I had scoldings if sharing a little food for my Son. Oh yeah one more thing, the chicken wings look anorexic

What's the big deal about Pizza Hut? My coworkers INSISTED that I pick up one for them on my night off because we start our shift at 11pm and Pizza Hut closes at 10pm when we're usually napping before work. Our aide suggested we get the 18" New Yorker one-topping pizza for $10.46 (tax included) because that's what they get for their church group and it's a good deal. It is usually cut into 12 slices - perfect for the 6 of us! I couldn't imagine why they wanted to eat a cold pizza when we could have a fresh frozen one. They argued that they could have frozen anytime. They wanted Pizza Hut and were willing to heat it up in the microwave. Reluctantly, I followed their commands as they all ganged up on me and I was the odd man out. I called for take out at 5:30pm since I was on my way home from doing errands. I had to spell my name out a few times. I should have said my name was Susan or Hello Kitty! LOL!! When I got there, there were many free parking spaces. This location is between Fresh Catch & American Savings Bank on Kamehameha Highway in Kaneohe Town. I went right up to the pleasant cashier and she handed over the fresh and steamy pizza right away. It was a smooth transaction - no waiting! I have a feeling that my coworkers will be asking for Pizza Hut again. They enjoyed the "sweet" tomato sauce and the crunchy edges (I warmed up the pizza in the oven on my pizza stone). However, the middle of the pizza remained mushy. The low rating was a surprise to me... Must be because of just a few unusual and unfortunate circumstances. Sorry... I had the buffet a long time ago and I don't remember any bad experiences - just seemed to be a good deal for the price. A fellow Yelper (Christa) told me about the bacon-stuffed crust, so I guess that's what we're going to have next! Looking forward to another yummy snack!

I've had the Hawaii Kai Pizza Hut breadsticks before, and they are heavenly. The seasoning is perfect on their thick, buttery, generous breadsticks. Of course I'd be craving them! I stopped at the Kaneohe pizza Hut to pick some up, and it was so disappointing! They were thinner, shorter, and softer(not the good kine soft). The seasoning was also mediocre at best, not as flavorful as the others I've had.

Came here several times for buffets and I really enjoyed it. I thought it was well priced for an all you can eat and all you can drink on fountain drinks. The pizza was good and even the new dessert item was great! Our waiter named Alex was really nice and next time I'm coming here she definitely deserves a tip!

I haven't eaten at Pizza Hut in a while and now they officially SUCK!!!! Not only is it expensive but they made it difficult to impossible to get what you want. You can't do half and half on specialty pizzas, you can't substitute you can only minus a few items and so on and so on it's total BS. They've been doing it for as long as I can remember i don't know what changed, especially for all that money they charge! With all these other places like papa johns, Boston's, and Costco they should get with it.

i suggested this place since i pass it everyday on my way to work--i mean...it's just another Pizza Hut, right? well, yes, and...no. my husband reads Yelp reviews for most places we go to, and he read the reviews for this particular location...i find that the people who reported terrible service may have gone to the wrong place! just kidding, i know everyone has their own experience and their own wants and expectations. i love great service...who doesn't? and we definitely got very good service tonight from a server named Lia F. we came in not knowing what to expect because of the aforementioned Yelp reviews that were read...but we were very pleasantly surprised. we got the bacon stuffed crust pizza--yummy! it was a little greasy, but c'mon! we're eating pizza! not exactly worrying about healthy foods. husband and i also had salad bars, and Lia made sure the salad bar was stocked (and it was). got the buffalo wings too. we're definitely going back...it's a standard Pizza Hut, but the great, FRIENDLY and efficient service is a plus!

Back in the day this place was the $#@$! We would come here after soccer and football practices, and damn, they would deliver the crunchiest, hottest, most delicious pizza ever! However, the last couple of years this location has almost hit rock bottom. On a couple occasions my friends and I came here for lunch buffets. And, each time we were served with cold, disgusting pizza. Both times we went home hurling, dedicated to get that pizza out of our systems. My last incident was when my GF and I decided to eat here for a dinner buffet. On the buffet line, there were about 3-4 exotic pizzas that all had weird ingredients on top of them so I decided to simply eat a toss greens, pasta, and bread sticks while I waited for a unsophisticated, plain, straightforward pepperoni pizza. After waiting a half hour or so, I finally approached the manager and asked her nicely to put out at least one pepperoni pizza that was FRESH. She said with a disturbed tone, "we put out pizzas already, and we can't make new ones until those are gone!" The couple next to us were like "WTF!" The four pizzas that were on the buffet line were there before we had arrived!! In my mind, I was dismayed by her insufficient, unhelpful, and inconceivable answer. In sum, I will never order, dine, or even think about coming back to this place until I hear that their service, quality of food, and management has changed. *The pasta, which I did not come here for, ended up being spoiled anyway... YUCK!

Pizza Hut kaneohe sucks. Shutting down certain areas because they don't have enough delivery drivers. That is such an inconvenience to the people who can't drive all the way to kaneohe. Bad customer service and overall certainly dissatisfied.

Reliable. Affordable. Always on time. I prefer Papa John's, however I think Pizza Hut is pretty good. My hubby on the other hand does not like Papa John's, so we usually order delivery from Pizza Hut, and they've never forgotten anything, and we always get our pizza's nice and hot on the estimated time of arrival as well. So, no complaints here :)

I guess that this is a review on Pizza Hut in general and specifically, the "new" hand tossed pizza. In short, it is absolutely horrible. The hand tossed crust doesn't seem hand tossed at all, rather it seems like a pre-made dough you buy from Safeway. I am not sure if this was an issue specific to the Kaneohe store but there was hardly any pizza sauce. I prefer lots of sauce and there was not an option to add extra sauce like Papa John's (though most of the time I order extra sauce from Papa John's they don't put extra anyway, but that's for another review). It is very rare that I don't finish a pizza, but I didn't finish this one. I think Pizza Hut is a better choice for specialty pizza's like the deep dish pizza's garlic bread pizza and flat bread (discontinued) pizza. For hand tossed pizza, Boston's can't be beat. On a side note the delivery girl was really cute and had a nice smile. Kudos!

I wouldn't normally leave a review for fast food place because it's fast food; you get what you pay for. But I have to make it known that I've gotten food poisoning from this location twice. The first time we ever ate here, we did the buffet for dinner after a long day of house hunting. I bypassed 3 plates on the buffet line because they were visibly dirty before finding a clean one. That should've been my first clue to not eat there. We ate our food, it was Pizza Hut, whatever. Cut to later that night around 1 am and I am running to bathroom with the worst stomach pain in my life and proceed to throw up full chunks of the pizza I had eaten earlier that night. I was sick for the entire following day. We took a break from eating there for over a year. After some convincing from my husband, we ordered a pizza from here again one busy weeknight. I felt fine and we've ordered a few pizzas since then, so I chalked the first experience up to a few bad employees on shift that night who didn't wash their hands or left food out too long or something. Until last night that is, when we ordered a pizza and again I was awoken at 3am, running to the bathroom, from both ends this time. My husband has also been running to bathroom all day at work today. I plan to report this place to the health department. I know fast food is what it is, but making people sick is not ok no matter how cheap the meal.

We went for a birthday party on a Wednesday night and had their dinner buffet. The service by their evening manager was fabulous! Always attentive and accommodating. The food on the buffet was piping hot, delicious and always filled. Clean environment, too! The party turned out great, very happy with their service, food and cleanliness of the restaurant!

This is a review on their carry-out service at the Kaneohe Kam Hy location, and not the restaurant. VERY DISAPPOINTED! We always used to order from the Koolau location, which had great service, and 2 minutes from our house, but they closed down a year ago, so we had to order from the Kam Hy location by default. We have had oily pizzas delivered from them before, but Papa Johns was closed in the Mall with Sunday hours, that we had no choice but roll the dice and order from the scary PH. I called to place an order for pick-up, and the person couldn't find the special, and had to place me on hold 3 times! He finally got his manager on , and she immediately knew of the Large New Yorker for 10.49. She was nice and said its an 8 piece pizza, but they could cut it in 12 pieces, and will be ready in 15 minutes. I said yes, thank you. I called Hubby, who was at Safeway across the street, and said he'll go there and wait for it. When he got there ( not even 5-6 minutes later) he was surprised it was already done. As he immediately came straight home which is a 4 minute drive, We were both hungry, I had the table all set , drinks in hand , and opened up to a ... COLD, COLD HARD Pizza!! Absolutely YUCKY! And the pizza was cut in uneven cuts, dried out, cold, they gave us no Parmesan cheese packets, but 10 pepper packets, we definitely questioned the "5 minute" readiness of the pizza. it definitely looked and tasted as if it sat there for an hour. Whether it was or not, it should NOT have been that cold. Pizza Hut Kaneohe, you have disappointed us for the last time, Boston Pizza or Papas gets our order from now on! TIP of the day- Don't order carry-out or delivery from this place!

This is one of the few dine-in Pizza Hut restaurants left on Oahu. They have buffet quite often but I've been only doing carry-out lately. Service is cheerful and pretty quick but the kitchen staff seem to overlook special requests. Wanted plain bread sticks twice but got the usual oily ones. The first time, the manager caught it and had them re-done. The second time, the cashier noticed but I was in a rush and just took the oiled ones. Another time, they made a thin crust order on pan. Suggest you check your order before leaving, especially when special requests are important.

Made a phone order of cheese-filled bite crusted pizza. Confirmed it included a marinara dipping sauce. The girl on the phone confirmed my order, including the one free dipping sauce. The delivery came without the sauce. When we asked the driver he said that the drivers are not allowed to carry dipping sauces!!??!!

Talk about no ALOHA. Service here just flat-out sucks. If/when I do come to this Pizza Hut I only come for the BOGO personal pan special. Two personal pans for under $5. They really despise the fact that I bust out the coupon every time and today when I walked in I seen the short fat manager lady yank the flyers as I walked in. Really...?? Is it really putting a dent in your profits by having me use a coupon you guys put out?? It's expensive enough on this island to survive so I'm sorry if I get the deals. Little did she know I already had a stack in my wallet from all the other times I ganked the "magical" coupon. So go ahead...use em up. There right by the sauces next to the cash register. Take that "L" Pizza Hut. I win...

The servers were really friendly, its one of the cleanest pizza huts I have ever seen. We had the buffet and it was pretty good, only complaint would be that they needed more variety out at one time on the pizza side.

I loved pizza huts lunch buffet a while ago. Came here recently and I was very disappointed. Salad bar hardly counts as a salad bar. Salad mix with croutons that's it. Went on to the pizza and pasta. Things were cold, it doesn't help when the heating lights above the buffet aren't working. Seriously, that's a violation, nothing was up to temp. I was pretty annoyed because I decided to order wings and right after that the server dropped the check. Won't be back. Can definitely get a better meal elsewhere.

Service sucks. Got an inexperienced waitress and incompetent manager (Tammy Y) who were not familiar with the menu or specials. We ordered the Family Meal Deal and specifically asked that our breadsticks be brought out first (as an appetizer) and the cinnamon sticks be brought out after we had finished the pizza (as dessert). We've always ordered it this way at this Pizza Hut before have not had any problems. Well today, the waitress told us that the breadsticks will be ready with the pizza so she brought us a few little bread cubes (from the buffet table) to have while we wait. We reminded her that we had wanted the breadsticks before the pizza, so she took away the bread cubes and went to get the manager. We asked the manager to put things right by giving a discount and she refused. Her "solution" was to hold the pizza while we ate the breadsticks and bring it out after. We told her that the pizza won't be fresh but she made no apologies. We asked for her supervisor's name and contact information. She said her supervisor is Nana but refused to give us her contact information. She told us to call the Pizza Hut Call center (the number you call to order a pizza). I doubt that Nana will pick up the phone at the call center. Pizza and bread cubes (not sticks) came out to together and a few minutes later, came the cinnamon sticks. To top it off, the bill was also incorrect - overcharged. Pizza Hut's motto is "Its right or its free." Well, everything was wrong but it could all have been put right if the manager had known how to handle the situation and if the waitress had received better training. We won't be going back there in a hurry.
