Good food and the service is fast. Most people that don't like Panda Express just don't know how to order properly. Any dish you want made fresh, just ask and they do it. Want fresh steamed veggies? They'll do it. I make sure to ask for fresh items and I'm never disappointed. This location is clean and easy to access. Much better than the mall location.

I go to this Panda location fairly frequently, and most of the time I am satisfied. However, last time I was not happy. I ordered a double entree of orange chicken with chow mien & the cream cheese things, so I paid about $11 for my dinner. Drove all the way home & came to figure out that the orange chicken was SO GROSS. it was the complete opposite of fresh, and had absolutely zero of the citrus/orange taste. Omg it was so nasty. I literally only ate two pieces & I tossed the whole plate. My husband wouldn't even eat it (and that's saying something). So I'd say with any Panda, when they offer you a sample, TAKE IT, or at least try your food before you leave the store. Eewww

First time here at this Panda Express. Tried the walnut shrimp, mushroom chicken and the beijing beef. I didn't care for the walnut shrimp but I did peel back the batter and what do you know, the shrimp is cleaned too. The mushroom chicken is always good. I loved the Beijing beef the best though.. It was crispy with just the right amount of heat to give it a little kick. No crowd when I got here and customer service was friendly. Great place to grab a bite and go or just takeout. Parking was really tight. I will be coming back for more of that beef.

Oh Myyyy! What a "variety" of ratings on this location! Well, I'm giving it four stars since we are sort of regulars there. We wouldn't keep going back if it weren't pretty good. Decisions Decisions: So about once a week our Kaneohe family has a discussion regarding where to go on "take-out" night. Korean? Vietnamese? Chinese? Mexican? Japanese? Thai? Genki? Pizza? Burgers? Then tonight I get the dreaded "Oh, anything, it doesn't matter." LOL !! Yeah right!, I know what is coming...So I start naming places. No. No! No way! Any place but that one! What kind of idiot are you?!! Conclusion of discussion:Tonight the last remaining option was Panda Express. Location: This location is next to L&L and near Safeway. There is another separate location across the street inside of Windward Mall. Easy parking. Faster please we are in a hurry: This location has recently become very busy. Last two visits were at dinner time the place was packed. At least 10 people in front of me. But the line moves quickly and there are enough cooks to keep up. The crew is experienced and it shows. Food: Yes, yes I know this is food court style Chinese. Everybody knows it and no one cares!! Fried rice, Chow Mein, brown rice, white rice or mixed vegetables. Orange chicken is OK but the new Honey Sesame Chicken is pretty good. I always get the Tofu Eggplant for myself and it is good for a 4 star meatless dinner. Kung Pao Chicken is also 4 stars and a family favorite. Service: This is a high volume location. If the efficient crew was less than 5 stars it could be a problem. They are great at being nice, helpful and keeping the line going. Value: Basic price for a two choice plate is $7.75. When you do take out they load that styrofoam tray to the max. Not a bad value because two of the dinners feeds three of us with left overs. Yes, Four Stars it is!

I think Panda Express had a bad rap for a little while but let me tell you, they've revamped and I can't think of any other place that provides fresh carryout Chinese food like this place. The staff in Kaneohe are always on top of things and you can expect to get from one end of the counter to the other in a matter of seconds. This place is my goto when I don't feel like cooking, after the gym, when I feel like eating orange chicken, etc.

They recently remodeled the place and it looks great. The food is made fresh now so sometimes you have to wait, but I don't mind a bit of wait for a hot plate, it's usually only a couple of minutes anyway :) The staff at this location are nice and even though I'm particular and like things a certain way they stay patient with me. I have been happy with the recent changes they have made and am happy to be coming back with my family again!

I don't know what is up with this location . the chow fun is rubbery with no taste and the kung pao chicken is so plain tasting. May not come back to this one.

There are two Panda Express locations in Kaneohe. This one is across the street from Windward Mall at the Kaneohe Bay Shopping Center. We went there on a week night around 8. There wasn't much left so I asked the counter person if they were going to put out more dishes. She asked me what I wanted, and they cooked it up fresh. We did take-out...and when we got home we were amazed at the amount they gave us. The Kung Pao chicken was better than I've had at the other locations and they had a lot of my favorite veggie - zucchini. Beef broccoli was good so was the orange chicken, their chicken and green beans was a stand out. Their chow fun always (always) looks waaay better than it tastes. This one was no different, but what they did have was 2" pieces of green onions in it. which really added. I've got to remember to do that the next time I make chow fun at home. I like eating at Panda......I always feel like I'm getting my daily requirement of vegetables even if it is "fast food". I'm probably just kidding myself : /

Food is okay, like any other time I come to eat at any of them, but today me and my kids came to this one and went to fill up our drink, and their were ants filled in the cup swimming in the fruit punch. Tried another soda, same thing. Told the worker who apologized and did nothing to clean or fix the problem and told none of the other customers either. Tried a third soda, more ants. Finally picked Sierra mist and bingo! Ant free. Gross. Beware next time u fill your drinks here.

I like any Panda... but this one I like to go to sometimes when I don't want to go into the mall. It's less hectic and easier parking... right across the street from the mall!

Oh dear god why anyone would patronize this crappy fake ass Chinese food place boggles me. I fricken loathe Panda Express in general, not just this location but basically all panda locations. I think living in California solidified my hate for Panda express world wide. Idgaf if it's in Instanbul, I'll still effen hate it. Understandable living in the mainland, there wasn't very many options for good Chinese food like we have here. So yes maybe Panda Express could be appreciated or passed off as decent Chinese food to those individuals that have never had good Chinese food. But seriously people we live in Hawaii, we have great Chinese restaurants sprawled about the island so there's no need to stuff yourself with this imitation Chinese garbage. As i can recollect the food is straight disgusting. Looks fake as hell as well. You know if you go to a real Chinese restaurant the food does not come out looking like that. Even the pics via they're website looks fake like some garbage you would get in the frozen food section of your grocery store pandaexpress.com/menu/Ca… The last thing I ate from here was the orange chicken. Barf city lemme tell you. It was super gross and gooey' ish (I made that word up) & had like a super sweet & sour taste. It was mid afternoon so the food shouldnt have been spoiled, I think that's just the normal flavor. ughhhhhhhh. I made my cousin taste it and she said oh yeah that's how it taste's normally . wtf and this chick ate it up. Boy am I glad that i have never spent a dime in this place. The few times that i had come here, someone else always paid for it. The eggrolls @ Jack n the box are more authentic than the fried pieces of rolled crappiness you'll get here. Sad but true, just sayin. Another sad note is that this location is within a 3 mile radius of two great Chinese restaurants! There's Pah Ke's pretty much across the street and Kin Wah is only a few miles away. So you either come here because you like eating really crappy food or your just a plain nimrod.Hey I understand if it's free, better than eating dirt right. But if your paying for it, you better go get your brain examined. The service here was alright, it's your basic fast food type of service nothing extra ordinary. It wasn't horrible that's why I rated this place one star. lol but i wouldn't have given it any stars if that was an option. I cringe whenever anyone mention's eating here like i just wanna slap the hell out of them. I kicked my ex in his shin when he suggested we eat here one night & he was in the military and relatively new to the island at the time so he had a valid excuse for his ignorance. After he experienced what good Chinese food was,he never ate at Panda's again. Just saying people, why would you willingly choose to eat here? It's super gross. The safest thing is the fortune cookie lol If your ever in the area and your craving chinese food, DO NOT EAT HERE!! lol cross the damn street and go to Pah Ke's or google map Kin Wah's. You'll be a whole lot happier with better quality food and service. 50 trillion thumbs down for this joint.. Panda Express = One way ticket on the barf train

For fast and easy "Fast food" Panda Express is pretty decent. They are always friendly at the Kaneohe Shopping center location (by Safeway), and if they are running low, they will make you a fresh batch within minutes They always offer samples, fast, clean, convenient, no frills, no thrills. We rarely dine in, and their food is still hot and tasty when I arrive home. Save your receipts, and call the survey, you will always get a free entree on your next visit, and Like them on Facebook for periodic free new dishes. Can't go wrong with the Panda...

Panda express...in general is always reliable. For those days that you don't want to cook or you don't know what where to eat, just go panda express and you definitely figure a meal you'd want for lunch or dinner. The service I get on most panda are generally normal, by normal I mean casual like you fall in line and get the set of meal you want and that's pretty much all the interaction you get, not that I care to talk stories with them. However the Panda Express in Kaneohe gave us a really good customer service. Me and my husband went here to eat diner, just because we're both too tired to cook and we didn't want to go far from where we live, which is around the restaurant area. The lady that help us was a filipino lady, I seriously forgot to ask her name but she was, maybe in her early 40's, they normally close at 10 but surprisingly they were still open when we got there at around 10:15, so we just kinda tried if they'll still serve us so went in and the filipino lady greeted as warningly and was ready to help us. Most of the food were put away already but she told us that they'll make us a fresh one if we like so we ordered out favorite honey walnut shrimp. They she gave us free drink while we're waiting for our shrimp, and even 2 min the food was ready. All I'm saying is for all the PANDA EXPRESS! I'd rate them 3 for the good food but for KANEOHE PANADA EXPRESS I'd give them a 4 star for the good service and for our warm honey walnut shrimp. Price:$$ moderate Ambiance: is nice really clean, and organized Overall recommend to everyone!

Power went out in Kailua the other day, but not in Kaneohe. I passed by McDonald's which looked like a nuclear fallout shelter. Drove all the way up to Panda Express. Line wasn't too long at 9:30pm. There was still quite a bit of food. I bought three plates to feed the family and got: chow fun, fried rice, crab rangoons, mushroom chicken, orange chicken, eggplant tofu, and the new peppercorn shrimp which cost $1 more. All the food was very good. $25 for the everything, $7.99 per plate. Facility very clean. Will come here again if the world doesn't end.

Visit: 5/3/09 - Lunch. Ate orange chicken and chicken with asparagus. Orange Chicken is the same old fill me up, taste okay and lets do more shopping. Chicken with Asparagus was a new item I tried. Yuk. The Asparagus was hard. I thought I was biting bullets. Well what can I expect when I go to Panda Express. Price is expensive for food court food. Looking at $9 with a drink. I will come back if I have too. I'd rather go to Jack in the Crack if I had my choice. Mini Sirloin Burgers. HAH.

Panda Express. Really? I'm visiting Hawaii and I'm eating at Panda Express? Well, we just wanted a "known quantity" that would be safe, tasty, and fill us up. So this is where we went. It was just fine. Nothing special, except that it filled us up when we needed to be filled up.

This place is always crap... Its one of those places that you go to and promise yourself that you will never go back again. Then your stuck in a food court with a bunch of food that looks terrible and end up going back there again... Well I mean it this time, I am never going to this miserable place ever again, it is just terrible.

Nothing special about this Panda Express. Not better or worse than any other Panda Express on the island. Nice facility, public bathroom, friendly staff, and ample seating. The walnut shrimp is bomb and so is their orange chicken. Haven't tried their new dessert mochi balls but they look good. Gets really busy during dinner time on the weekends so expect to wait. It is now open later than usual too. So, when the Panda Express in the mall closes this one is still open. Keep your receipt too because if you complete the survey you get an entree for free on your next visit. Good deal!

We live close and take out from here a lot. My wife likes Panda (she's haole) and prefers their food over local style Chinese. I prefer local Chinese places, but I have to admit the food here is always good and fresh. I always try their free samples even if I know I'm not going to order it.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
