They must of changed the cook cause the food went down hill. Mongolian Beef too sweet, sweet sour eggplant with pork too sweet, Kung pao chicken more onions than chicken too sweet. Tasted like I was eating a dessert. Only thing was good was the cold ginger chicken. Cutting corners and being stingy is not a way to get customers coming back! I was disappointed this past Father's Day.

I have passed this place a thousand times and finally broke down and stopped in for some spareribs in black bean sauce and it was an wonderful experience...although I'd never eat-in and much rather prefer to take out...

Based on my first time eating here, I would judge this as a solid Chinese take out restaurant. The ladies at the front were very helpful, and the dishes were done decently. Nothing ordered was stellar, but I will definitely be back again and can update this review with more information.

Rai rai ramen was closed so we ended up here. Worst decision ever :( yeah their food is cheap but you get what you pay for. I dn't recommend their chow mein. The noodles were super hard and their vegetables too big, the shrimp however, was decent. The workers gave me a mean stare when they realized I didn't eat my food. Yeah, I felt bad leaving it there, but at least I didn't complain or demand my money back. Everything was paid for. If you're in the mood for Asian I highly recommend Planet Pho.

Our family are regulars here but ever since I found a bug(roach) in our food NEVER AGAIN! Instead of being apologetic about it, they were really rude! Doesn't deserve any stars!

Yes they have great specials and for the most part very busy. Good idea to make reservations. Alert if you're doing take out be sure to check your order, if they are busy they may crew up your order.

I actually really like this place. I know many people don't. I love their specials, for under $6 you can get a Chinese Chicken Salad, or a Chicken and Shrimp rice noodle plate! Their spicy ginger wontons are amazing too! The service is like any other typical Chinese restaurant, but prices are reasonable, the portions are big, and the food is pretty good.

Never again! Ordered a bunch of take out tonight and the food was terrible. The Cake Noodles were soft and not crispy like cake noodle is suppose to be. And it wasn't soft because of the sauce. I like when cake noodle is made correctly and the sauce does soften it a bit. This was totally different as they were not cooked long enough. Also the Mongolian Beef was sub par and the Roast Duck was tasteless. It tells you something when there are not a lot of Chinese people eating in their restaurant and Pahke's has a lot of Chinese eating in there.

Located right in the middle of Kaneohe, Mui Kwai is probably my second favorite Chinese restaurant near my house. The prices are very good and the portions are big. They also have a very extensive menu selection. They usually aren't too crowded which is why I really enjoy going there. The parking is okay, but there aren't a lot of spaces.

This is probably your best option for Chinese food on the Windward Side, since the closing of Joyful Garden. They have a decent selection of authentic Chinese dishes, some can be on the greasy side, although most of what I've eaten here tastes good. They have weekly specials, the duck noodle soup if you order make sure you have an appetite as it has choke noodles! Funny thing is, I often see this place next to empty when our family goes to eat there, would expect it to be busier considering other options for Chinese fare. It is a staple restaurant for our local family & relatives.

The Honest Truth: Probably 3.5 stars, but I'll give it a 4 so more people review it! A cheap, family-owned environment with good portions and pretty good flavors! Service is fast! It's a great place if you're looking for a cheap casual place to eat with your family. Not too crowded The Details: I come here when visiting my cousins often pretty much because they give a lot of food and its pretty cheap. The inside isn't fancy, but they get you your food quickly and its pretty tasty! They have their specials in the window and we always get the chinese chicken salad and the cake noodle with oyster sauce and chicken. I think both are around 7 dollars and are pretty big! Here's a list of the things we've gotten: Chinese Chicken Salad: Lettuce with shredded chicken and special dressing (tastes like thousand island with some soy sauce). Large portions Cake noodle: Flash-boiled noodles that are then pressed together, fried, and cut into squares with an oyster sauce gravy and chopped up chicken and some vegetables. Kids seem to love it and it tastes good and they give you a lot! Cheap too! Fish with ginger and green onion: It tastes like fish with ginger and green onion! Classic chinese dish and they give you a lot of food as well. Fried Dumplings: Crispy and tasty with pork inside! Nothing too extravagant, but good Shrimp with fried garlic: A little sweet with sugar on top, has an interesting granulated, sweet flavor.. not my favorite Pork hash: Just pork Good food, cheap prices, large portions. Nothing fancy about it, but it does the job. You can order takeout as well!

Comfort Chinese Food! I really like the food at the New Mui Kwai restaurant especially the Wor Gau Gee soup, Hot Ginger Chicken (its like roast chicken but the skin is a little crunchy like it was fried, topped with scallions, strips of ginger, and chilli peppers), the Scallop Soup and Pork with Sweet n Sour Cabbage. The portions are hearty and the prices are decent. It's decor is a little worn but I dont need fancy table cloths to enjoy my meal!

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
