Okay, I'll admit it! We were going to Genki Sushi for dinner. Friday night was crazier than usual with 20 people waiting outside! Genki wasn't going to happen! We were all too hungry. So Little Saigon it is. It's right next door! My first visit but everyone else had been here before. In my defense, I have eaten recently at many Pho shops all over the island. I eat Pho, Banh mi, Bun bo hue and other Vietnamese dishes of all sorts on a regular basis. In fact, I had Pho about 2 days before at another restaurant in town. Point is, I'm up to speed on taste, broth and all the other factors that go into judging pho. Ambience: Nicely decorated, dim lighting and very pleasant. Nicer than most pho joints. Usually pho shops have that "hole in the wall" ambience. I liked it. PHO: Beef pho was nice with good flavor broth. My wife liked it and I tried it too. It was good. Veggie pho, this is my speciality, was good too. My daughter always orders this now and she shared it with me. Good veggie broth and fresh nice ingredients made this a winner. Tonight I had a tofu and spring roll plate since I had just had pho 2 days before. It was pretty good too. Prices were good! That always gets my attention. Why 3 stars? I liked the food and can recommend it. I'll eat here again. But, I still have a craving for my regular pho shop which is also in Kaneohe. Little Saigon is good and I don't think you can go wrong.

I'm always so happy about the quality of Pho here. I've tried a couple of highly recommended place in Kailua but I'm not jumping up for joy when I had their Pho. Little Siagon has (so far) the best broth and my favorite is the meatball Pho (extra meat). I haven't really tried much other than the spring rolls- I prefer the summer rolls. Most reviews look like they don't care for the service but I could care less. I believe it's run by an older husband and wife and I would gladly support their dream as long as they continue with the delicious soup.

I've been coming here for years and the food is always delicious and consistent. The pho is so fresh and tasty. We like this place for a nice quiet date night. The place is usually not busy so finding a table isn't usually a problem. Yes, the service is slow but good things come to those who wait. It's a husband wife team. He is not the best waiter...but the freshness of the food makes up for it. He actually is a really nice guy...just a little on the quiet side. And the wife stays back and freshly prepares each dish....that is why you may wait for awhile. Everything is fresh!!! We've also discovered that ordering take out is just as good. Give them a call about 20minutes prior and they will pack everything very nicely for you to enjoy your pho in the comfort of your own home. Little Saigon is one of my favorites....it's always consistently fresh and the price is right. 2 can eat for less than $20!! Try the summer rolls too....so delicious!

I love pho. I've had a lengthy conversation with my fiance on "If you can have a superpower, what would it be?" I shamelessly admit my superpower would be the ability to make pho instantly, in a bowl, set of chopsticks and all the garnishes on the side. So yes, I love pho. Little Saigon is where I go to get my fix on the Windward side. I go there at least once a week. I enjoy their broth, esp with no msg. Pho with tendons and rare steak on the outside. Such simple yet complex joys. With all the comments of the service, well, it's true. I listen to many people's problem for my job so quiet is nice. I don't mind being left alone to my own devices. Sometimes I do wish they'd turn on some background music. But Uncle likes to hum and I find it endearing. A few times he is in deep passionate conversations with his regulars and I strive to be in that caliber soon. I've been frequenting this spot for 1.5yr now and I sense my time will be coming soon.

The Pho is good and the price is good as well! But the customer service sucks. The guy is always in a grouchy mood and the tables are never cleaned up and ready. They should hire a buss boy. The pho takes a long time to be served to you too. I only go here because it's really close to my house.

Tasty food. Clean place. I'll be back to try more menu items, especially their pho. Had the bbq pork chop w lemongrass and the pad Thai on my first visit. Owner is kind.

LOOOOVE this place because they are proud (and so am I) of the fact that their food has....NO MSG!!! And yet everything is soooo delicious. They must have learned a thing or two since we first tried it when they first opened. I distinctly remember asking if the food has MSG and the owner said in typical Vietnamese fashion, "Only just a little bit." I was sad. But now I am happy! They have turned a new leaf and committed to being a healthy option in Kaneohe! One of the few! Hooray for Little Saigon!

Love this place!! The pho portions are huge and the tofu curry is very good as well. But the spring rolls are a litte price for only two pieces.

Pretty decent pho! The broth isn't as savory as the ones that I experienced in New York, but I'm pretty impressed. They give you jumbo sized mint leaves to tear up to go into your pho. Cute decorum and seems very clean!! Water is also filtered and tastes yummy.

I would rate this restaurant "0" star if I could. We walked into this place and the owner/server acknowledges us with a nod. We waited for 15 minutes before asking him if we can get a table so not sure what he was thinking that we wanted as we stood inside the place. Finally after we got seated, we waited for another 10 minutes before we got the menus. The three of us ordered pho soup. Combination and two beef and tendon and again waited for another 15 minutes to get our food. Didn't think it could get any worse but we were further disappointed when he brought our food. The combination we ordered was not as describe in the menu - Received small pieces of paper thin beef, 1 meatball and no tendon or tripe. Very disappointed! Food junk and service is sucks. I would recommend the pho place near El Mariachi at Kam highway.

This new Vietnamese restaurant tries to set itself apart by stating very boldly that they are healthy and do not use MSG in their cooking. Visiting from California, I decided to try the oxtail soup ($12) since it is fairly common here in the islands and I have tried it at many other restaurants Yum! The smell of the savory broth is the first sign and the taste buds were not disappointed. Portion size is average compared to other places offering oxtail soup, but there are a fair amount of veggies in the broth. I would say it is similar to Zippy's but better. The owner stopped by our table and told us that he takes care to add natural flavor and reduce the fattiness related to the oxtail. The vermicelli bun and chicken rice plates were also good. The chicken had a very nice natural grilled taste, with a good balance of seasonings. Very clean, neat restaurant located in the back side of a strip mall.

According to the owner, the cooks arrive at 3:00am every morning to start a fresh batch of stock, and prep for opening at 10:00am. Now that's some dedication. My humongous bowl of Pho Dac Biet (a.k.a Everything Pho. Right, Josh C?) was very good. All the bits and pieces of Bo were accounted for, and their contrasting textures were perfectly present. The cornerstone of their menu -- that seven hour stock -- was also delicious. It was flavorful and remained well seasoned after the sprouts and herbs took a dip. However, despite having a nice mouth-feel when hot, my left over soup didn't set up into aspic in my fridge overnight. Oh well, it was still very good. $18, for the both of us. Too beaucoup? Well, baby, I was so hungry, and the leftovers loved me long time. I got eryt'ing I wanted, so, it was worth spending some of my hard-earned money.

Great place that I keep going back to every time I visit. The owner and his wife are extremely friendly and customer service is top notch. The broth has good flavor with just the right "depth" that I look for in my Pho. I also tried their sour soup (sp?). This is a very different dish from what I have had at any other pho place. It's a great dish for those looking for a more vegetarian experience. Also, their homemade lemongrass oil is fantastic. Nothing like that over here on the mainland unfortunately.

The service is excellent. The food is great, we had the curry chicken and the oxtail soup. It's really elegant inside, well decorated without the tackiness.

I love this restaurant. All the food is so delicous, big portions, and cheap prices. Most importantly the ingrediants are fresh, and everything is super clean. If you are looking to dine out but want healthy go here! Like every small business in this economy, it is ran by its owners...husband the waiter and wife one of the cooks...who are just trying to make it! So be patient if it is a busy night.

If I could give 0 stars I would. The service was terrible, the food was even worse. My friend ordered chicken pad thai and a coffee. I had the vegetable summer roll with fried tofu. The noodles in both dishes was over cooked and the chicken tasted gamey, summer roll was burnt and my fried tofu was completely dehydrate to a crisp. My friend ordered a black coffee and got iced coffee with milk. We finally got the hot coffee, but it just tasted awful. I could go in details, but it wouldn't make a difference, the service and food was awful, bottom line. We won't be coming back!

After a matinee movie, my husband & I were hungry and Little Saigon has been on our list of Pho places to try. It did not disappoint! We started off with: 1) Veggie Spring rolls - 2 to an order (4 pieces total). Loaded with fresh veggies and tofu, fried to perfection and served with lettuce, noodles & dipping sauce. They were so good I was tempted to order more! 2) We split an X-large round beef & brisket pho. GREAT BROTH! It was well seasoned and you can tell it was prepared with love! The beef and brisket were thinly sliced and tender, with lots of noodles. We polished off the entire bowl...every single drop of that broth!! 3) Thai Iced Tea - it's an addiction of mine and this one hit the spot on this hot, summer day. The perfect blend of spicy tea and milk. I could have one every day. Not only was the food excellent, but because we went after the lunchtime rush, the owner had time to chat with us while we waited on our food. We loved his story of how he had to leave Vietnam in 1975 or be killed, and how he came to America to start a new life as a stranger in a new land, to take advantage of the opportunities that freedom offers. He became a naturalized citizen, built a successful business and now has three daughters in college. I then began to think about all the lazy whiners in our nation who would rather be slaves to our government and receive handouts and EBT cards rather than work & make an honest living to provide for their families. If a person can travel thousands of miles to escape the tragedy of war, come to a new land and work his butt off to build a life for his family, we who were born here and have had the gracious gift of freedom & opportunity our entire lives HAVE NO EXCUSE! But I digress. As far as the food and restaurant, we will certainly be back for more Pho!

Best beef stew I've ever had, the combination pho is also great. Been coming here for a few years now and I can say it's the best in the area.

I got take out today and I was impressed. Quick, tasty, and reasonable prices! Going in around 2pm seems like a good time since the lunch crowd was gone. I ordered the vermicelli noodles with pork and shrimp. It was delicious. Definitely will be back again for lunch!

According to our Vietnamese friend this is some of the best Vietnamese food on the island. It's fresh, authentic, and family friendly. Delicious and excellent service from the owner. We ordered the meatball pho for the older kids (they loved it), the Vietnamese pancake (to be wrapped in lettuce with fresh basil and dipped), the vegetable sour soup, the Vietnamese (not Thai) Green Papaya Salad (my personal favorite), and the fresh summer rolls for an appetizer. We took our 3 kids for lunch, ages 2-10. Our kids are well behaved, even so sometimes you can get the stink eye with kids at any restaurant. Not so here, the owner was our server and very friendly, thoughtfully brought plastic dinner ware and crackers for our 2 year old. The flavors and ingredients were fresh, the pho and sour soup broths were delicious with delicate flavors. We will be coming back here anytime we are in the area. (Near the Ross in Kaneohe)

Service - rude. Food -I will not be back. Only one server in the restaurant, so I'm usually pretty understanding and there was 5 of us. However, he walked away from the table while my friend was trying to confirm if a particular dish was available, to take an order at another table. It took so long to get our food & 3 people had Pho. The cold vermicelli noodles had the consistency like they were sitting in water for awhile. The lemongrass chicken was off tasting. The fish sauce was good though. He brought out a second dish for my friend and insinuated it was my friend's fault that he had written down two dishes for him. When my friend ordered, he asked if he could substitute a different type of chicken. The server just stared at him and then walked away, didn't clarify at all.

I've dined here more than a few times to give this place more than enough second chances. And every time I get disappointed. Not enough help, which causes long waits - to be seated, to place an order, and for refills of water. AND the price you pay for the very small portions is NOT worth it. You're better off going down the road to another Vietnamese restaurant or even take a drive to the other side of the mountain.

Oh Little Saigon, what went wrong?! I used to love thee soo much. It's been a year since we've broken up and while I missed you at first, I'm so glad I've moved on. The break up was hard initially, I was going through pho withdrawals, but am now long over it. I hate to do this considering I once loved you, so much that I would come here at least once a week to get my fix. But I am now over you and have summoned the courage and am ready to do this. I was such a newbie to pho at the time and didn't know the better options out there. While the broth is good, no MSG, yay, it wasn't enough to keep me coming back. The service was good because I'd always do take out during off hours. But once we started doing family pho nights a few times a month and we had take out orders with 6-8 items at a time during dinner hours, that was the last straw. Waiting for an hour, sometimes an hour and a half for our food to be ready wasn't cutting it for a hungry family. I FINALLY saw the sign and it opened up my eyes. One day I hope we can reconcile, but not anytime soon.

If you don't like waiting then DO NOT go here. Waited 30 minutes to get our food (even our appetizer). Pho was decent but you are better going to Saigon Noodle House closer to windward mall where the owner is more friendly and the service is a heck of a lot better!

I don't know why I go here, mostly because it's my last resort. customer service sucks, the guy is such a grumpy looking person, lady has no personality, and it's always empty when I come in. I ordered a medium beef pho and got literally four mini slices of beef!!!!! grrrr AND EWWW the guy was cutting his nails (although it wasn't near me, it's just plain ol disgusting!!!) left them a one dollar tip...

the worst customer service ever. customers wait 45 min for mediocre food. How long does it take to pour hot broth in a bowl w noodles? the restaurant owner had poor customer service skills. I will never support this place ever again. go to Saigon noodle or Pho My Vi instead. Better service.

My wife and I was discussing the no MSG philosophy of this restaurant and we didn't realize the lack of this makes a huge difference. Without the MSG, the pho is not bad, the broth is clear and we can see that great care is done to flavor the soup. The pho came out and was not steaming hot, that makes a difference when you put in your veggies, not hot enough to completely cook. The veggies didn't come with saw leaf, a staple in other pho places. We had the brisket and round steak, it was decently tender. I ordered the X-Large bowl for $9.75 and it was HUGE! You get your money's worth here. We also ordered the spring rolls, had a coupon for this freebie. Nothing great, but it was really two rolls, if we paid for it, would be $4, not worth it. My wife had the pad thai with tofu, it was ok but doesn't taste like the thai version. Of course what do you expect in a Vietnamese restaurant? Other reviews mention the service is slow, it's basically true, there is only one guy taking care of the customers. He did clear the plates out as soon as he can however. The A/C was basically off, a tad hot in here. Bottom line, we are spoiled by the Chinatown pho restaurants and this place doesn't measure up. But if you are on this side of the island and is craving for pho and don't want to drive to town, it's a ok alternative.

If I could give no stars I would. Every time I come in here the guy always has a mean ass look on his face. Seriously it wouldn't hurt to put a smile on and at least fake it. I am sick as fuck right now and was gonna order take out, so I asked, "what time do you close?" He quickly said 9, then hung up on me. I called back yelling at him saying I was gonna order take out but now I'm going to another pho place. I will never come back here again. The food isn't even that great but it's the closest to my house. Go to Saigon Noodle House in Kailua (enchanted lakes) it's my favorite pho restaurant and the owner is really nice.

Great little vietnamese restaurant in kaneohe. came here after a day at the beach. relatively new restaurant. modern interior. When we came in there was only a couple of people in the restaurant so we were quickly seated and our order taken. BIG PLUS IS THEY DON'T USE MSG in their pho. Even w/o the MSG the broth was delicious. also tried their pulled pork / spring roll Bún. had little pork/spring roll, but was quick to receive order. So all in all a great place for pho, though the portioning is a lil skimpy, i'd recommend ordering the large as it includes a lot more noodles and was more worth it than the regular.

Tired after a long day of work, my wife and I decided to try out the neighborhood Pho place. We were not disappointed. Since we had never had Pho befo, we had Pho! I had the beef, she had the seafood. Both were great! We had our choice of medium, large, of X-large, so we chose large. We would have been just as happy with the medium, but it was only an extra 0.75. The large steaming bowls of soup were accomopanied by a large plate of basil and bean sprouts. Yummm. We also had an order of spring rolls and summer rolls, which we will be happy to have again, probably in the not-to-distant future. Well worth a trip if you're in the neighborhood!

We've been here twice before but that was a while back and I didn't remember the details. Remembered the pho was pretty good. So, yesterday, on Friday night we went again. Every table except one was either occupied or filled with leftover dishes. Most were unoccuied. Hmmmm. My memory started stirring, but not enough to save me. It felt like we arrived late to a party and everyone else had eaten and left all their dishes to go drinking outside. Not exactly ambience. We ordered beef pho (X-LGE $9.75) and sweet and sour seafood combination (about $9.50). And iced waters. I went to Long's Drugs (it's right there) and bought a bottle of wine for the BYOB. Came back and my companion said that water had only just been finally delivered. She told me there was only one guy (presumably the owner) doing everything in the dining room - taking orders, bringing the food, taking the money. He wasn't bussing tables though - nobody was. The pho came out and was pretty good. Lots of meat and the noodles were loose and not clumped together. A big plate of bean sprouts and basil. However, while we tried the seafood combo, a trio of imaginary sheep stood by bleating MEH, MEH, MEH with every bite. They weren't begging for seafood combo - they didn't want any. The purported sweet and sour sauce was bland and thin. The seafood was all pretty tasteless. The white rice was the small, cheap kind. Never again for this dish. But that's OK. Most of the dishes I've seen here look acceptable. As we dined, the one guy working became slower and slower as he got tired. A couple came in and surveyed the room and noticed about four occupied tables and EVERY unoccupied table covered in leftover dishes. They stood for over five minutes before they were even acknowledged. Happy date night for them! Now I remembered this similar situation happened last time we were here. As the saying goes, those who do not remember the past are doomed to repeat it.... Why isn't there more staff? -- At least one more person. It's because they are acting TOO CHEAP for their own good. Not even a busperson. How much could a busperson cost for a few hours? Not enough to negatively impact your business compared to leftover plates everywhere. There are certain minimal standards expected of a restaurant. I cannot recall ever seeing another restaurant where every vacant table was piled high with dishes and just left that way. Prior reviews mention poor service, long waits and just one guy seving the dining room. Just remember that Vietnamese are typically very polite and do not complain (out loud, at least). Other people are thinking the same stuff bot do not do reviews. But people do not want to elevate their butts from the couch and go out for poor service. Kidnap a keiki relative, hire a student. DO SOMETHING to get some help or you will go out of business thru lack of foot traffic. Don't be too cheap to hire a person to help out. The Saigon Noodle House in Kailua have their two young girls helping out on a Friday night, and both of them have got to be under 10 years old. It's actually kind cute, and the job gets done. Next time I'm going back there.

I had $20 burning in my pocket once. I roamed around Kaneohe Bay shopping center after charging up my iPhone app at Starbucks. Thank you Starbucks for not kicking me out for not buying anything and using your electricity for my iPhone! With that said, I used my Yelp app to discover Little Saigon within the K Bay shopping center complex. At first, I had to use the directory to find out where the hell it was, but once I found it next to the Genki Sushi, I just smiled. I haven't had Pho since I started to cut back on excessive spending on everything and everything - which included Pho. With that said, there was a note on the door saying that they had the best Pho in town. I was defintely interested in what they had to offer. The restaurant itself was clean and well decorated. It was fairly empty, save for a couple of occupied tables. The service was awesome. The bonus points to this place was that, I could charge my iPhone while dining at this place. I presume that the owner saw me trying to charge my phone in an unworkable outlet next to my table. He offered that the usable outlet was directly in back of me. Grateful for that words of advice, I plugged in and ordered away. I ordered the vegetarian summer rolls, since it was cheaper than the ones with shrimp. I also order the extra large bowl of combination Pho with extra noodles. Let's just say that it was heavenly and the meal was awesome. 1/2 way into the meal, I got pretty full, so that was good. Must've spent a good hour or so, just to digest all of the Pho, but it was neat. Sadly, I wasn't a total fan of their broth, although it was richer than some of the Pho broths I have tasted so far, but it was good. Glad to know that there is a good Vietnamese restaurant here and it is a favorite of mine. The prices were good, especially for $9.75 for the extra large bowl. I could not believe that. Some places which have similar sizes, go for $11+ for the XL size. Glad to know that Little Saigon is a bit cheaper for their offerings. I recommend this place! I will be back!

I read a lot of the negative reviews here for Little Saigon on the slow service. I can completely see everyone's point, but I guess I come during the slower hours or something because I never have a problem. Maybe because I ate there so regularly at one point, but the husband and wife do remember their regular customers. I am always offered a menu, but they already know I'm going to order a large combination so they always ask if I'll do the same. Once in a great while I'll add on a order of spring rolls. They're delicious as the rest of the food. My cousin always gets the dry noodles or not the pho. I'm not sure how to describe it. All in all, the food is really great and it's a really nice establishment. Whenever I'm ready to leave, I just walk to the register and within a minute or two they come by so I can pay and leave. I can imagine that when it is busy, service probably gets slow. Hopefully they hire a busser or something so they don't lose new customers. I'd love for people to enjoy great experiences like I've had.

Take out order: Got the seafood pho and summer rolls. Overall, not bad...but not good either. The mussels in the pho weren't too tasty...too much of an ocean flavor too it. The calamari in the pho was yummy and soft though! Shrimp was also in it, but not sure how it was (gave it to my grandpa). The broth was pretty average. Not really bursting with yumminess. Summer rolls were pretty good, a bit thinner than summer rolls I've had at other Vietnamese restaurants. I liked that they put both thin slices of pork and shrimp inside! The part that was not good was the sauce :/ it was kind of thin, watery and overly sweet for a summer roll sauce. The order only cost $13.09, so pretty cheap...but there are other Vietnamese places closer to my house that I like better.

It really pains me to give Little Saigon three stars because food wise they are a strong four. They have tasty pho, summer rolls, and vermicelli all for very reasonable prices but the service recently has been going downhill. Waiting 50 minutes for Pho is really unacceptable! Unfortunately this is not an isolated incident either. There have been at least three times now that my phone order has been incorrect or completely forgotten. I do forgive them because I understand that mistakes do happen, but it seems more often than not I don't get what I ordered. Their food is good so I would recommend giving them a try but be forewarned that if the restaurant is about half full you will wait a long time to be fed. Aside from their spotty service, their food items are delicious. I like that they have three different sizes of pho available. Normally the medium is enough to satisfy my appetite, but if I'm feeling a little hungry I'll opt for the large which is the normal size at most places. They even have an extra-large bowl which is huge! I personally haven't tried it but I think it is large enough to feed even the biggest appetites! I have also had their spring rolls, summer rolls, and beef vermicelli. Their spring rolls are average but I really like their summer rolls. It comes with shrimp and pork inside, all nicely rolled together with lettuce, vermicelli, and bean sprouts. The beef vermicelli is also very nice. My favorite part is the crispy garlic they throw on top. Portions are all a very healthy size so you won't leave disappointed. The service here hasn't always been like this but it has definitely been getting worse and worse over the last six months. I hope they find their groove again because I really enjoy their food! Oh well, I'll just have to limit my visits to odd hours or slow days when it is not so busy.

This is one of the better Vietnamese/pho places to eat in Kaneohe. The interior of the restaurant is very nice inside! My boyfriend had the pho and I had the spring roll/beef vermicelli. Prior to this visit I've eaten the pho and along with my boyfriends opinion, we agreed it was just okay. But the vermicelli was very good! I enjoyed it and would definitely eat that when I come back here. Also too if you show your id card you'll get a free order of spring rolls which is awesome!

This has always been our second choice Vietnamese Restaurant in Kaneohe - Pho Viet Thai is first (but not open on Sunday). We have eaten here maybe 6 times. It's very difficult to rate this restaurant because we feel the food is above average not great but we have our favorites which is the pho and papaya salad. The crepe was good and the pad thai and chicken curry yummy. Our problem rests on the service. The owner/host was anything but cordial our first 4 visits. But he got the job done. We struggled whether we even wanted to go back. Then the 5th time, surprise... he was nice and talkative. We were pleasantly surprised. Maybe not, his three daughters were visiting and were sitting at a table across from us - probably on his best behavior. We brought some friends from out town last night (Sunday) for dinner. Wrong choice. The host was curt from the very beginning. We told him we had brought some wine and before we could say anything else, he says "So what do you want me to do?" He did bring us 4 filmy wine glasses. The real challenge came when we asked him what the Sweet and Sour Seafood Combination was which was listed under the Rice Plate category. He said "Sweet and Sour Seafood"!. Ok ..at this point his rudeness is getting a little embarrassing. Our guest asked what kind of seafood and if it came with vegetables. He reluctantly described the types of seafood and said yes it had vegetables. To cut a long uncomfortable night short, we ended up getting sweet and sour soup with seafood which we didn't want and he wouldn't take back. the one we had asked about was a stir fry dish. We attempted to explain what we had really ordered, but he was adamant. He actually argued with us about what we had ordered. Is that service or intimidation? After we tried to clear up the mistake and get what we had really ordered, he avoided serving our table to refresh drinks etc. Getting back to the quality of food, but it is good but definitely not worth the aggravation of the service. There are other establishments in Kaneohe with great food and outstanding service so why go back.

I'm so in love with this place! I've never actually dined in yet (planning to next paycheck!) but I've been here twice in the past 4 days and I want more. The prices here are so reasonable, and the food is so delicious. I've tried the oxtail soup ($12) and the tofu pad thai ($7.25), and both were very tasty. The soup was probably the best oxtail soup I've tried. My only complaint is that they only gave me three fatty pieces of oxtail. I wanted more meat for their tasty dipping sauce! The owners are very nice, and make you feel comfortable in their restaurant. I didn't have to wait super long for my food to come out either. This restaurant is located next to Genki sushi in the windward city shopping center. It's the place with the light up coffee cup sign. I honestly don't know why Genki has a line out the door, when Little Saigon is a million times better. I'm so worried because whenever I come here there's barely anyone in the restaurant. I really don't want this place to close :(

I am definitely a fan of this little restaurant. With lots of Vietnamese restaurants popping up here and there all over the island, it's nice to find one in quaint ole Kaneohe. Now as everyone is becoming more health conscious or maybe just me as I'm getting older, it's nice to find places that no longer use msg as their flavoring. Less the msg I no longer need to worry about those nasty side effects like headaches, now all I have to worry about is if I can finish that tasty extra large pho that I've just ordered - definitely a must try!!!

It was serendipity that we found this restaurant. The place is very clean, nicely decorated. The service was very good, she refill our glass without us having to wave her down. They also bring out both of our orders at the same time. I've been to other VN restaurants where they bring out my food first and he has to wait. I hate that. The pho was very savory, good portions of meat. My husband got the pork chops with lemon grass rice plate. He said the flavor was good except he wish that they use better cut of meat, they use the one with the big bone instead of the loin chops. The next time I visit I will definitely come back!

I dragged the hubby here for date night because I had an insane craving for summer rolls! We were only the second table in the building; it was kind of eerily quiet because they hadn't turned background music on or anything, even though it was around 6pm (prime dinner time). Our waiter was really prompt taking our order, although he barely spoke to us at all. We ordered the shrimp and pork summer rolls, and decided to share the chicken pad thai. The summer rolls arrived VERY quickly, and were just what I had been craving! Nice sticky wrapping, loads of mint and greens, fresh-tasting shrimp and salty pork, with peanut sauces and fish sauce for dipping. Mmm mmm good! The pad thai, however, was a huge disappointment. It looked great, but when we dug into it we discovered it was a huge sticky ball of noodles. It was impossible to pull bites off. The noodles were lukewarm, slimy, and did not taste fresh. The sauce and the chicken was mediocre, but our main complaint was that the noodles were just rolled up into an impenetrable ball. Ew! I'm used to pad thai that is easily conquered with chopsticks. My husband is not as adept with chopsticks, so he had a really difficult (yet amusing) time eating. There wasn't any silverware available on the tables, which I was fine with, but it would be nice for them to cater to people new to Vietnamese food like my husband is. After we were finished, we waited about 20 minutes for the waiter to finally come back, check on us, and get us a to-go box (which was an extra 25 cents, by the way). Then we waited for the check for another 20 minutes, before finally chasing him down at the front register. Maybe you're supposed to go to the register to pay? It would have been nice if someone had told us that. All in all, we might go back for the summer rolls, but we'll probably just get them as take-out. The restaurant experience left a lot to be desired.

Awesome service! Super quick and the owners are really nice. However, I'm not a fan of their broth and their beef balls. The broth is too sweet for me (I think there's too much star anise in it) and the beef balls have a strange texture to it. Maybe it's better if I eat in the restaurant instead of takeout! My family always orders pho from them and I would definitely recommend it to anyone else besides me!

I dined in once and I have gotten take out three times now. I always get the vegetable pho with tofu - it's only $8 for the large size and it's great - tasty and filling. The bean sprouts and basil always seem super fresh. I call them up and my pho is ready to pick up 10 minutes later.

Ended up here by accident. What a wonderful surprise! Stuffed calamari appetizer was terrific. The pho broth was great. #13 with the brisket is very very good. Meatballs are good too. Lot's of veggies too. Service was prompt. If only the parking was better. Price was reasonable. All in all, a good meal at a good price with good service, nice decor and comfortable spacing? what more could you need?

not my favorite of all places to get pho... but definitely the best place to get pho in around kaneohe. looks like a family run business, and i went with a friend on a slow night, and was fortunate enough to talk to the main waiter. he's very helpful, and makes you laugh at the same time. i've never had such good service! i tipped a generous amount. the atmosphere here, is very proper asian restaurant-like. loved it! also, the spring rolls were pretty good in my book. :] DEFINITELY the best broth you'll find out of all the other pho places in kaneohe, imo... and i tend to like my noodles on the skinnier side, which they noodles here are. funny thing, is i avoided eating here for so long because i heard from other people that it was junk here... just goes to show you, you'll never know until you try it yourself. :]

Every time we are on the windward side we stop in Foodlands parking lot and eat pho. My husband and I had just finished a rainy day hike a few years ago with some friends and we stopped by the second day they were open. We were dirty and wet and they still treated us like royalty! Great food, good prices, and awesome staff! It has now become a regular stop for us!

Went here the other night for the 1st time & it was really good. My Husband ordered the pho, my daughter ordered the yellow curry, and I ordered the spicy shrimp stir fry. All the items were good but the yellow curry was especially good! The decor is nice & the waitresses were friendly. Fast service. The only con would be it is a tad pricy for what you can get at other thai places.

Not impressed. I went for lunch during what should have been peak lunch hours but the place was surprisingly empty. This should have made me move on but I wanted to try the place. I had the beef pho and the spring rolls. The broth was very average but the meat was really tender though. The spring rolls were just gross. I doubt I'd ever go back...Wasn't worth the money though it was pretty cheap.

Pros: Waitress was perfect, attentive, but not too overbearing. Had #10 the Meatballs were very tasty in my Pho. Ample amount of veggies. Sauces on the table, and water filled without me & Dave having to ask for it. We also had vegetarian summer rolls, yum! Very refreshing and light. Everything in reach. There are little shrines burning incense which was a very nice touch, not too smelly but just right. I came out of this little piece of heaven feeling full but not too heavy. I love that. Just plain satisfied. Cons: the parking can be a nightmare.

Love this place. Clean. Friendly owners. Consistent. Inexpensive. Yummy pho. I'm pretty hooked on the #13, which I believe is a combination of rare beef and fatty brisket. My husband and I had made this our go-to pho place for the past year. We've gone in to eat and ordered take-out many times. However, after tonight we will be looking elsewhere and not returning. We are NOT picky eaters, but we don't stand for poor service. So, usually when we show up we are seated right away. Tonight no one came to seat us. Instead, the owner/waiter stayed at the counter and when I went up to get menus he waved his hand at me to take them. Later, he brought me the wrong size bowl of pho, but argued with me and insisted that I said I wanted that smaller size (my husband said he heard me order the size that I wanted). He then brought me the size I wanted, but was rude once again when we were getting ready to go and needed a to-go box. We tried to give him the benefit of the doubt and resolve that he was just having a bad night. HOWEVER- we also had ordered a to-go order to bring home to the people who were babysitting our child... and when we opened the box the meat was raw. REALLY?? RAW?? If we wanted to cook, we wouldn't have ordered take-out from a restaurant. I'm not sure if this is normal, but we have ordered from them before and it has NEVER been raw. There was no mistaking it this time- the meat was wrapped in plastic in the box and was completely raw. So now my husband is boiling pho after a long day of work when all he wanted to do was relax. Even though the food is pretty good, I really doubt we'll ever go back. On a side note: The lady who cooks the food is very nice.

Yet another stop on my quest for the best pho on the island. The best thing about this place was the fresh veggies. The broth was good but lacked the tanginess that I crave. The noodles were average but the meat was severely lacking. The restaurant was well decorated but the service was extremely slow. There's better pho restaurants just minutes away in Kaneohe.

Was SO disappointed would give this 1 star, but the food was at least average so a 1 would be unfair. Our first trip here and I was really craving Pho, and this place had gotten decent reviews. We ordered to go, with not many customers in the restaurant (maybe 4 tables full?). Only 2 orders of Pho, and they said about 10-15 minutes. After 35 minutes though we had moved to wait in the restaurant to make sure we hadn't been missed, there was no acknowledgement or apology, I began to get upset. Finally we got our order after 40-45 minutes again to apology. Maybe if I had said something they would have explained or apologized, but I think it's poor customer service to make you wait 30 minutes past expected time for a simple take-out.

Perfect place for a casual date night with your hubby! It's one of the few restaurants we can rely on where the pho soup stock is consistently delicious with generous portions of noodles and veggies. The meatballs and tripe are my favorite. Saigon Noodle in Kaneohe is also just as tasty but parking is horrendous and the portions are smaller. My husband and I also like to come here because it is clean and the owners are so nice. I didn't rate this place with 5 stars because service can be really slow at times.

I rally like the food there, expecially since there's not that many places in Kanohe to get decent Pho. The restaurant is clean and food is very reasonable in price. However, if it gets busy, then the service is really bad. They don't seem to have a lot of employees there. One time we ate there, there was one person cooking, and the other waiting on tables. We waited so long for everything: for water, to order, to get the food, our check, etc. When it's not busy, I enjoy everything about this place.

Food 4 stars tasty and fresh Service 1 star the man was nice but need more service Value 2-3 stars id go there again if i was on the windward side and craved this type of food. i didnt have the long wait others mentioned. seemed like most other people ordered pho. ill try that next time. Went here with mom who enjoys Thai and Vietnamese food. She really loved the food. Thai and Vietnamese is not my favorite but i enjoyed the food as well. We ordered seafood pad thai, chicken curry and green papaya salad. You can choose what seafood if you want. All the food is mild. The hot sauce is on the table. The portions are on the small side. Only one man taking orders, refilling water and cashiering. Basically you have to stand up and get him if you want anything. we also had a free spring rolls because i had an isle discount card. only 2 pieces cut in half and its served with some lettuce and cucumbers.

Nice little restaurant in the busy Windward City Shopping Center. Food is always good and the service is always good. Simply quality Vietnamese food at a convenient location.

The food is not horrible but compared to the two other Vietnamese restaurants we frequent it is definitely below average. The service is unwelcoming and I could put up with it if they were knocking the ball out of the park with their food.

Service was slow. I ordered the pad thai. It was delicious, but I found a piece of hair in my noodles. I sent it back and when my new plate arrived, they gave me more seafood than the first plate.

Three words: hire some help! I believe it's just a husband and wife team running this place. When we walked in, there were several empty tables that hadn't been bussed yet. The man had to clean a table so we could sit. We then had to wait another five minutes to get our menus (not exaggerating). Service was extremely slow. While we were there, we saw several other customers come in and have to wait while he bussed the table for them to sit. There were several tables that were unoccupied and covered in dishes. A lady came in to pick up her order that was supposed to be ready in 45 minutes, but was told it would be another 20 minutes. The place is busy enough, just hire some help before you lose business!!! Food is still pretty good and they advertise that they don't use msg.

The pho here is awesome! The service however... is non existent! I've been before and returned with hopes of getting better service however, Mr owner/hostess/server/busboy/checkout failed me once again. The guy that seats you also takes your order, prepares food, serves food, busses tables, and rings you up! They definitely need to hire some help around here. It takes forever for him to take your order/get you a glass of water because he's so busy doing everything else. The food takes forever to come out and when done eating, took FOREVER to get the check! My wife and I were done eating our food just sitting patiently waiting, trying to make eye contact to get him to notice us. I was ready to wave my arms at him and flag him down. Every single table in there besides the ones people were dining at needed to be cleaned. I try to get him to smile or talk or anything and he doesn't. Just asks what you want to order, and that's it.... no other words spoken the whole time... no smile either. Going to pay, no "thank you", "come again", "have a nice day". Crazy... It's like he's a robot. The food on the other hand is great. The pho is better than the other Viet spot in Kaneohe in my opinion. The broth is really good too. My wife doesn't really like pho but she loves it here. Will probably only return for a take-out order in the future.

Instant 5 stars for being open on New Years Day! Pho was a boiling for the masses! I spent a few minutes eating meatballs, noodles, hoisin and rooster sauce! Not a fan of pho but Ill gladly eat here indeed!

Stumbled on this place in the shopping center. Soup was fresh and tasty and the vegetables fresh. Great service, very low prices... Like Arnold S "we'll be back."

We go there to get veggie broth pho usually and taste pretty good, however it took over 1 hour to just get our medium size veggie broth pho was quite out of the question.

Me and the hubby usually get a bowl of that and spring rolls on the side. Hmm...just thinking about it is making me hungry...

We really liked the Pho. It was very tasty. The meat was lean and the tendon was tender. The restaurant appears clean and the atmosphere is very nice. We also had the spring rolls which were very good and fresh. This place should not remain a Kaneohe secret for very long.

  • Michie K.

  • Janelle A.

  • Stace K.

Instant 5 stars for being open on New Years Day! Pho was a boiling for the masses! I spent a few minutes eating meatballs, noodles, hoisin and rooster sauce! Not a fan of pho but Ill gladly eat here indeed!
