H&T Burgers has been around forever. I always enjoyed going to the mall as a kid and eating there. My fiancé always gets the Teri-Burger Combo with Teri-Fries. I usually get the Cheeseburger Combo with Teri-Fries. I'm not too much of a teriyaki eater, but I really enjoy the sauce here because it is less on the gingery side. The food is very reasonably price. You can usually get away with a combo for under $8. The food is made to order and served hot. 4-Stars because they are cash only. They've been around forever and I think they would do a lot more business if they accepted debit or credit cards. Makes it really an inconvenience to take out money at an ATM and come back. Customer service is okay. They manage to thank you for your order, but don't really greet you. Won't complain, but could be better.

I ordered the Teri Burger and Teri fries. Average burger and Ok fries. Pretty reasonable value. The lady working the counter was pleasant enough, but the cook was not pleasant at all. Free advice: If you are talking to a customer, give them eye contact as there are plenty of other options in the mall.

The Teri burger was awesome. Teri fries not too bad too. Not a lot of places make it like this anymore!!!

Best deal on a Teri Burger! Only $7.21 for 2 Teri Burgers is enough to fill ur Teri Burger craving or if you're like me, share w/ a friend. Unlike the H&T Burger in Town, when u request onion on the burger, it's diced verses whole sliced. Both are good, but I prefer the town location. But may have to stop by here the next time I go to a movie or wondering Windward Mall! Make sure u have CASH, they DON'T accept Credit/Debit/Check

Omg. This place used to be good. However the crew that is working today cannot function as a team. We have been waiting over half an hour for our food. One employee only complains and then the others stand around. Not worth the wait. Half the employees only stand around talking story to customers they know. No coke because they can't figure out coke from diet coke. Get it together!

I've been eating here since I was little and now I'm in my 20's I'm so happy they are still open and running !!! Don't even go out ! I'll always keep coming back forever !

The only time I go and eat here is when the local Filipino guy who is the cook. Other then that I would get pass and eat else where. I had some crappy experiences when I ask for EXTRA Teri sauce and I get a dry Teri burger.

H & T burger home of the best teriyaki burger and teriyaki fries!!! Bring some wet naps and extra napkins because it's gonna get messy! Mmmmmm the teriyaki burger is so delicious! And with the combo meal you ask for Teri fries which hits the spot of more deliciousness! Every time I go to windward mall this is one of the few places that we will always visit.

I always try to eat here when I'm on the windward side of the island. Their teri burger with teri fries never disappoints and this is what I usually get when I come here. It's best to eat it on the spot and be sure to ask for extra napkins because it can get a little messy. I never tried anything else on their menu but I'm sure their other food items delicious. The place is kind of small with limited seating on a busy day, but there are other places around the mall to sit and eat. Overall a good place to grab a burger and fries.

Teri burger. Teri fries. Do it. Do not waste stomach space on anything else. Burger itself contains bun, burger, shredded lettuce, pickles and mayo or thousand island. Extra teri sauce is $0.60, don't forget the crack (I mean, teri fries). You'll need a fork unless you're an oinker like me and don't mind licking your fingers, it can get sticky. Service is always the same, pretty close to rude, but not quite. They always seem to just "not care". But guess what, neither do I! HAHAHAAAA. They don't have to care because they know those teri burgers & teri fries sell themselves. They could flat out treat me like poop on a stick and I'd still come back for more. Now that I've got a baby on the way especially. I can't stop thinking about H&T burger...time to send boyfriend to Kaneohe....... 4 stars instead of 5 because I have to be fair. Though the food deserves 5 stars, they can't get the coveted fifth without that metaphoric sugar & spice. Price matches the food, about 6 bucks for the #1 teri combo. Though, let's be honest, most of us would spend 10. Don't go gettin' any crazy ideas H&T! I ain't rich, just desperate. Remember, cash only.

Loved the teri burger combo deal! You get a teri burger, teri fries and a large drink for $6.95. I couldn't wait to sink my teeth into this delicious combo. I've been waiting for this moment for weeks. The burger was dripping... I mean literally dripping with teri sauce. My fingers were drenched with sauce. It was soooo... good. The best I've eaten. The teri fries were ok. There was too much teri sauce on it; therefore, the fries were too salty and overpowering. The workers were so nice to me that they threw on extra sauce on everything. Next time, I will ask for less teri sauce on the fries.

  • Michael C.

I'm conflicted here. Let me start by saying what I ordered. I got the chili dog combo (chili dog, fries and a drink) and a teri chicken plate. I liked the fries they were a-ok to me, while I found the chili dog to be average but not meh. But the teri chicken plate was meh because it was too salty. It seemed like they marinated it too long. So in the end it was between an overall rating of 2 or 3 star. I went with a 3 star because it is one of the cheapest places in the mall compared to the cost of the food in the food court.

  • Emm V.

The neatest teri burgers on the island. Burgers are not sloppy looking. If you havent had a nice cleanly made burger lately, you should try this place out!

Cash only! With that out of the way, here I was on a day trip to the windward side to just hang out on a Saturday. With my trusty Yelp app and a venti Starbucks chocolaty chip frappuchino in hand, I searched for a new restaurant that would suit my needs. After roaming around the food court, I saw the sign that said H&T Burgers had the best teriyaki sauce ever. That really piqued my interest and I made the decision to go and check things out. Needless to say that when I got there and saw the "cash only" sign, I was a little disappointed by that, but what can you do really? This place is strictly a burger joint and while I looked at the prices here and what the photos on yelp was serving, I felt like it was kind of spot on with the pricing, with what other places have been doing - including the major fast food chains. With that being said, I was hungry anyway and decided to pull cash from the ATM before coming back here and trying out "the best teriyaki sauce" ever. Needless to say that, it wasn't the best, I have had better, and it was just pure marketing. H&T Burger restaurant is located inside Windward Mall in Kaneohe. This one feels like a small mom and pop operation, and it probably is! When you have a sign with cash only on it, it's often always a mom and pop operation anyhow. Being that this place is at Windward Mall, there are copious amounts of parking here around the complex, so best believe you can get here without any minimal amount of trouble. If you are like me, any bus route that will take you through Kaneohe and in front of Windward Mall on Kamehameha Highway: usually routes 55 and 65. Let's be real though. Most burger combos usually are roughly $6 or thereabouts. I don't see anyone selling more than that, versus the quality and quality presented - well maybe ZIPPY'S. haha. But anyway,I had ordered the teri burger with French fries to go and found a spot at the busy food court to eat. There was this public karate thing going on in the center stage area of Windward Mall that day. While I wouldn't spend more than $7 for a combo, there are many people who would do $10 for Korean Bar-Be Que, and that's just insane - but I would digress. Then there's Zippy's too. Lol. The prices here are pretty good, but then again it's Cash only. The burger itself was generally smaller than most, but it was just okay. While it wasn't fantastic as others have lead me to believe in Yelp reviews, I would rather have good steak in a steakhouse, rather than having a cheap burger to fill me up. Yep, a good thing to have once in a while. While I wouldn't say it was bad or anything, it just didn't meet my expectations of the best teri burger ever. While the sauce was pretty good, it wasn't the best. I would say that the taste was a generally A-Okay. That's all. I wonder why people would say it was that good. Different people have different tastes, but I guess I have been there and done that many times. The overall taste was okay. The burger was juicy, but tender. Plenty of sauce they gave me to smooth out any imperfections that they had. The customer service was just okay. Sometimes they were rude, but that's alright. What can you expect here. Get in get out with your life. Support local! C

***Is H&T under new management?!*** In the past, I loved H&T and always had pleasant experiences. But if I saw this certain employee working again, I would B-Line it straight back to my car, drive back over the H3 and go home. Telling your customers "K, Order." probably isn't the most polite form of asking them what they'd like as you stand on the opposite side of the restaurant cleaning the grill/floor (there's no other customers and it's not busy. Why am I yelling my order across the kitchen?!). Nor is shorting them their change. Shorting customers their change can get you in some trouble, but it's okay. Keep it. There's a cash register that does the math for you, so why you handed my friend the wrong change...is beyond me. It's alright. After ordering twice...because my first order came out wrong (paid for both) he says "your orders ready, we're closed now" LOL wow. You must've had a bad day, we're leaving. I understand. Appalled by his response we picked up our food and left. Its 8:45 you're not closed but that's none of my business. We find a place to sit outside to eat our food and one burger has the normal fixings and the other is just a patty. I walk all the way back to H&T to see why since I ordered 2 of the same thing. A nice young Filipino guy sees me coming back and asked me if something was wrong. And before I could answer...I hear "Isn't there always something wrong?" WOW. Who would say such a thing?! He basically says -I don't care, not my problem- when I ask him. I would have left it at that but this employee was on a roll. With this guys horrific responses such as "yeah whatever" and attitude problem only seeming to get worse by the minute...I took my food and left without telling him thank you. The young Filipino guy, although he was nothing but sweet and accommodating apologized. And for him I felt bad that he has to work with this nightmare of a person. So just a warning, if you're having a great day and want to continue to have a great day...do NOT stop by if a young white guy who looks like he doesn't want to be there and doesn't care is at the register...because most chances are he doesn't.

This is one of the ONLY places to find good Teriyaki Burgers. Even better than L&L. Its well worth the trip to Windward Mall.

I dont eat here to often. When i do the teri Fries are so so so Delicious! Teri fries soaked in teri sauce. it just melts your mouth thinking abou it.

  • Kama A.

The new staff here is killing me!! Not only did the prices go up but the quality and service went down. Usually the old timer Filipino lady is on point but today this young kid cooking ruined it. Believe it or not it takes some skill to warm up the Teri sauce and it needs to be on the grill for a good minute. Not only is the fries and Teri sauce cold but it tasted like dish washing soap. Even found 2 small pieces of wool in my food from the sponge the used to clean the container. Gross. Ruined my appetite and I felt like I lost a little piece of my heart. Would have called to complain but they have no phone. Why....why????

  • Jamie C.

I seriously LOVE the Teri burgers here and they would so deserve a 5 stars but they really need to get a better cashier person. First impressions are everything and the young girl with the glasses need to appreciate that she has a JOB! No smile, no hello, no thank you. Sorry but I just may need to go to another burger joint to get a better personality!!

  • Megan T.

Best place to go when I'm craving a Teri burger and some chili cheese fries! The best part about H&T Teri burgers is that it's not messy at all and it doesn't get everywhere like other burger joints. Their chili cheese fries are great because they pile it on and it fills you up real quick! I must say though, their burger patties are pretty small compared to other burger joint's and if I want to get the same fill, I have to order a double. Their customer service is meh. Not very friendly but not out right rude either? They're just there to do their jobs and that's it. Today, the girl at the register was daydreaming while I stood there in front of her, more than ready to order. Awkward. I will return for their Teri burger though! A must try for all you teriyaki-lovers out there.

Someone kept on talking about how good this place was so we had to go and check it out ourselves. We got the teri burger with the teri fries, which came out pretty quickly. At first I didn't like the idea of the teri fries, but it was only really because it looked sticky, and I don't like to get my fingers dirty. The burger was pretty good, and I probably could've eaten two of them. The fries were crispy, and the teri sauce added to the flavor, but after a while it started to cool and get super sticky. I had a hard time getting some of the fries off the plate because the sauce was holding it down like glue. It still tasted good though. Whenever we do come out to this side of the island, we might consider it as a lunch option again.

  • Love C.

Why all the good reviews? I don't know what all the hype is but these burgers are junk. I got a teri burger with cheese and couldn't eat more than one bite. I ended up just eating the bun with cheese on it because I was really hungry. Major disappointment.

    (1)
  • Nalu Y.

Every time I go here I get the same girl on the register. No sense of customer service. No sense of hustle or wanting to be here. I love the burgers here but she is the sole factor why I don't come here. If only she would smile. Instead of having that grim emotionless face that just screams how much she really doesn't want to be there.

Literally the only thing I miss about Windward mall. Came again yesterday and it was still amazingly good. Teri burger w/teri fries oh my stars!! Everything so simple in life is so amazing!! I just really wish the cashiers would put some motivation in taking orders, I was 3 people deep in line and it took about 10mins to order. Irked when you're hungry. When I actually finished ordering and stepped to the side there were probably 10people in line blocking the steps and ramp. Come on sister, knock them orders out...but no, same monotone robot voice. Food worth the wait nonetheless.

Fries are usually excellent. But today, they were hard and stale. We returned them and got some freshly made which was a lot better.

  • Jeannanicole D.

Cash only. Worth every penny. I had the Teri burger combo. Everything about it was perfect. Even their Coke had a lot of carbonation. Their teri sauce is mixed into the buger, just the way i like it. Not soggy or wet in anyway. Their crinkle cut fries are crispy on the outside and soft in the middle. Nothing bad to say about my experience.

  • Kelsey T.

I loved h & t before they even renovated the mall. I used to come here all the time when I lived on the east side. Teri fries are always amazing. The only thing that bothered me on this visit was that my friends & I just finished mini golfing and decided to grab some food around 8:40. The guy didn't even acknowledge us, and finally he looked up and said "go ahead order" as he continued to sweep the floor. After taking all of our orders, we got our food at 8:45 and he said "you're orders ready, we're closed now." Then was telling another co worker "don't take anymore orders already we're closing" as if he was trying to make it a point to us. RUDE. So rude. We decided to take the food and eat in the food court but when my friend opened her food, her sandwich was missing all the vegetables from it! She went back to get it fixed and the guy was again rude to her. We understand that the mall closes at 9 but the decency to at least be professional and nice would've ended our night a little better.

Best Teri sauce... They are known for their Teri fries among the burgers and sandwiches and plate lunches that use this sauce... I am usually happy with the 2 Teri chicken sandwich special for $6.54

  • Chantelle T.

This is how I justify driving to the Windward side for random stuff that I can do anywhere else on the island. The teri burgers and teri fries are so freaking amazing. I always inhale my meal immediately upon arrival. If you're in the area, you gotta get it. Seriously.

    (5)
  • Emma P.

There's always a line at this unassuming burger joint, so eventually curiosity got the best of me. Also hunger. My boyfriend and I were looking for a quick bite on our way to the library, and H&T Burgers fit the bill. I was expecting W&M-esque burgers, so (understandably, given my devotion to W&M) these fell a bit short, but the teri fries were off the chart genius. I would go back simply for those fries -- and fries are usually a not-that-tempting afterthought for me. The combos are pretty good deals, though!

  • Jason W.

When I was still in small kid time and not big kid time like now, my Grandma would pick my cousins and I up and we'd go to the Kaneohe library once a week. We'd also grab some food and many times, this is where we went because it is half-Teriyaki, half-amazing I love the Teri Burgers here. I have since graduated to Teri-Cheeseburger as an adult but dude, it's great Teri Sauce, the bun is always fresh and the lettuce and tomato are a nice touch. You can even get Teri fries!!! I can't say much about anything else on the menu because even though I want to get down with some of the other items, I always gravitate back to Old Faithful from small kid time. Service is fast, prices are reasonable, all types of deals makes this place a winnah, winnah chicken dinnah! Note: You can get the Teri-Chick there too.

  • Craig O.

Ordered teriyaki chicken and beef combo plate. Took way too long to cook. Apparently thinly sliced teri beef takes a while to cook thoroughly, I was told by the person in charge. So seeing I was disgusted the cook proceeded to mash the meat with a spatula on the flat top. And there was only one other person in line behind me who got her burger & fries before me. Cashier seemed new (clueless) must have said take out or to-go like 4 times before she heard it. Will probably just stick to ordering their burgers, not plate lunches.

  • Dawn G.

Old school type Teri burgers like the orange Julius that was at ala moana looong time ago. Very good fries and they even ask you if you want Teri sauce on the fries

    (4)
  • Darin H.

Burger was a bit dry and patty was cold. Food temperature wasn't quite up to speed with regard to the burger. The teri fries were delicious, and the ladies even got the "extra teri sauce" right. I sure wish their prices were a bit lower so we would get a better value for what they have to offer.

    (3)
  • Ash M.

The BEST TERI CHEESEBURGERS on the island. Been coming since I was a little girl and just love it. Lately they've been a little tight on the Teri sauce BUT if you order extra on the side you can dip your burger and fries inside. Talk about TERI BURGER HEAVEN :) lol

  • Victoria M.

PROS: Amazingly tasty burgers and teri fries, affordable, and fast service. CONS: Cash only and has a small eating area that fills up fast during peak times.

    (5)
  • Wayne S.

I would always wonder when I walk past the old Orange Julius why there is a line for this place that doesn't look like much. I mean it isn't decorated and welcoming, Its just burger and fries really. I mean they do the teri beef and teri chicken plates but their staple is the burger and fries. Whats up? whats the big deal? I found out what the big deal was this past weekend. I bellied up to the counter to place in my order to the not so friendly cashier who then yelled out the order to the even more not so friendly cook person. In a matter of minutes we had our burgers. Through out the entire time neither of them ever broke a smile. I bet they would be really good at poker. The buns were steamed and I am talking about the burger buns. There was a slathering of mayo on the buns, the lettuce was that bulk sold pre cut ice burg and the tomato was almost non existent the makings of a regrettable visit until you bite into the burger. The magic is in the Teri sauce. Flavor filled, little on the salty side but so good teri sauce. It was depressed eating the burger because I knew with each bite I was closer to finishing it. The teri fries was good too, a bit under cooked and white but again the secret teri sauce...........put that on anything and it makes it so good. Hmmm cardboard? The bummer part is they are cash only............but then again thats a good thing because I didn't have that much cash on me, can you imagine if I did?

My husband and I love to go to the movies on the weekend. Usually we stop somewhere to eat before hand. We're extremely unhappy with ruby Tuesday's so we've been avoiding it. Unfortunately for us, our favorite haunt was shut down for god knows why. We weren't feeling the food court and had decided to try this place for lack of options. For a side thought of a burger joint, I was extremely unimpressed. If I were being completely honest with myself, this place was pathetic. The burgers tasted like something that I would have picked up at some family held birthday party at a park, but without all of the warmth and good feelings that go along with a grill out. The French fries were actually terrible: thin but cooked too long, and they weren't even hot. My husband loved that both of our orders only cost 10$, but really, I would have gladly shelled out twice as much for a decent burger. Next time I will most definately be waiting after the movie to leave the mall to eat if this place is our only choice. Even now, hours after the fact, I regret going there.

  • Chloe M.

I really wanted to love H & T's teri burgers. I give them props for selling homemade burgers in a mall, but their teri sauce tasted kind of weird to me. My bf grew up eating these burgers, and he claimed that the teri sauce was "different". We got the two teri burger combo for about $6. The burgers came with tomato, lettuce, and their signature teri sauce. They have other things on the menu, such as french fries, teri fries, chicken sandwich, teri beef sandwich, and a couple of plate lunches. Overall: I don't think I'll come back, which sucks because there's not that many burger places in Kaneohe.

    (3)
  • Eric M.

Good but (to me) not so special teri sauce on the burger and chicken sandwich. Probably really good on fries but I didn't try them on this visit. After hearing the hype about their teri sauce in their commercials, I expected better.

What is PLEASANT surprise here in Windward Mall, on our EAT THE ISLAND 4 we were told by one of the trekkers that there is good burgers here. WOW, I was sure surprised. I want to say, wait for it.........just as good as W&M burgers at half the price. WHAT DID HE SAY! Yep, I said it. You go try it and tell me what you think. Right near the pet store and across from the game room. I guess I need to try more of the specials and also try teri fries and my friend said "did you do the gravy fries?". I was like WHAT gravy fries? EPIC FAIL! AIYA! Anyways, go now, 6 bucks for 2 teri burgers. I am not sure how long that special will last. 041/365 teri-yelp challenge!

H & T is a classic burger joint. The burgers are cheap, but freshly made. The teri fries are BOMB. Can't get better for the price!

It's really hard to describe this place -- kind of a hole-in-the-wall that happens to exist in a shopping mall. So I shall describe it by comparing it to the other eateries in the vicinity: - Cheaper than the overpriced new Bull Kogi place. - Tastes better than Blazin' Steaks. - Faster and cheaper and better than Zippy's. Also of note: their Mac salad is AWFUL. I don't know anyone that actually likes their mac salad. But this doesn't prevent me from getting a teri beef plate everytime I'm on the island.

Let me start off by saying, once you start craving a teriburger from H & T, nothing else will satisfy. So I grew up in Kaneohe and ate here like every afternoon on my way home from school but I now live in Ewa....Every so often I get a crazy craving for this burger and fries and off I go to get it! Definitely worth the travel hands down! I love this place! Nobody does it like H &T. The bun is soft, the patty is juicy, dripping with teri sauce. And the drizzle of teri over your fries just takes the cake! So after I gobbled down my meal, its safe to say that the craving had been conquered! And so till we meet again, thank you H & T!!!!!

  • Mr. A.

TERI FRIES!!! I would rather eat here than Ruby Tuesday's any day, unless I need a beer or a buffet of salad. Tell them, "Teri Fries with my Teri Burger combo, please"... -try it just once & tell me it doesn't kick Mickey D's A$$.

    (4)
  • Janine R.

If I am in the mood for some teriyaki burgers and am on the Windward side then H & T is definitely our go to place. It's basically the "old Orange Julius" with same menu minus the smoothies. My husband has been going here since he was a kid and has passed on his love for this place to me and my kids. We only ever eat the Teri Cheeseburgers with teri fries. I can't say that I have ever tasted anything but the teri burger here. But I can say with certainty that it is an Excellent teri burger thats packed with flavor! But definitely do not forget the teri fries. This is not a complete meal without the teri fries. They actually take the sauce that they fry your burger in and drizzle it all over your fries. Totally bad for you...but totally worth it!

  • chuck m.

It used to be Orange Julius when I was a kid. When I go to Windward Mall, this is an automatic place for me to eat. My family doesn't like it but I love it and loved it since a kid. Teri burger special, extra teri sauce, fries and large strawberry drink. It sure does hit the spot. Same filipino lady working the counter since i was in high school.

  • Stacie T.

The teri burger and teri fries have been my favorites at Windward Mall since I was in elementary school... every time I'm back home they're must-eats. It's remained very consistent through the years, even when they switched from Orange Julius to H & T burgers. I'm not sure if they still have crushed ice sodas, but that was always a nice plus about this place. The food comes out quick no matter how busy they are. Only thing I suggest is that you eat it there or somewhere nearby because it can get a little messy/soggy if you take it home to eat.

I finally found out what the fuss was all about at H&T burgers. It was the teriyaki sauce that surprised me with it's saltiness and sweetness. It complemented the crispy potato fries so well that I found it difficult to stop. I will definitely be back.
