Awesome food at an awesome price. First time here and am very impressed. Nice and large dining area. Everything is clean. Staff is friendly. Ordered the lunch combo of half a lobster n abt seven or eight jumbo shrimps with fried rice at only $12.99. Very good deal. Much better than the shrimp plates from those run-down food trucks at the north shore. I urge locals to bring your friends n family who r visiting to this place.

I was a bit sad that Joyful Garden closed down, although, I had only visited there once. But it was the closest dim sum place; now I have to make the 20 minute trek to town for some dim sum. At any rate, I finally got to try Joyful Garden's replacement, Cajun King! I'm not sure why I wanted to try here because I rarely eat crab, lobster or those other fancy seafood. I dislike messy foods and definitely don't want to have to work for my food. Hence my order for dinner ended up being: seafood fried rice and green beans. You may laugh, but I highly recommend both dishes! They were so yummy! My friends got the pound of king crab for $25, which I suppose is a decent price? The pound of shrimp is only $11, which seems like a bargain! For the amount of food you get, I think the price is reasonable. The best part though is picking your sauce, lemon butter, Cajun, etc. You MUST remember to take home the leftover sauce because you can make new creations at home. If you take all the shells you can make a seafood stock or if you only take the sauce, you can fry up more shrimp, veggies or whatever you want doused with yummy sauce. Just a warning though, you will have garlic breath the next day or two! The good thing is, you don't have to be a seafood lover to eat here; look at me! There are other items on the menu like popcorn chicken, fish and fries! And of course, there is BEER! Nothing beats BYOB, but the next best is when the prices are cheap and they are cheap here. If only they installed TVs, I think it could become a popular sports restaurant/bar. My friends already want to go back again! See you soon, Cajun King!

My roomate is from Louisiana and it has been almost 2 years since she's had authentic cajun food. We thought it'd be appropriate to make a visit to Cajun King in Kaneohe for a bag (or two) of crawfish. So, we arrive to CJK and park the car right in front of the restaurant. Plenty of parking space? Plus. We walk into the restaurant and we're seated right away in a large booth. Spacious interior with lots of seating? Plus plus. The menu is pretty simple, really. You can order things ala carte or you can order a combo bag for different prices. We ended up getting a bag of crawfish (cajun seasoning), combo #4 (cajun & garlic butter seasoning), and a side order of cajun fries. The combo included snow crab legs, crawfish, mussels, shrimp & clams. Variety? Super. Now for the food. Dun dun dunnnnn... Here's where the 3 stars come in. Alright, honestly, the food was allllllllright, A-OK, average, whatevs, *shoulder shrug*, etc. When the bag of seafood came out, it smelled amazing and looked delicious. The amount of food in the bag was astonishing- I mean, shit was heavy. And the crab legs? Huuuuuuge, meaty, super filling. However, the seasoning? Man, underwhelming & disappointing. I was really looking for that cajun "kick" when we ordered the cajun seasoning, but it was rather bland & super oily. What's up with that? Why is it so oily? But I do have to give it to them. The crab legs, crawfish, mussels, shrimp & clams were all large and the food itself was very filling. I can eat most seafood without any seasoning, so I enjoyed the food either way. But obviously disappoined since we came looking for some Louisiana flavor! So, in conclusion: Ample parking spaces, plenty of seats, decent service, mediocre food= 3 stars.

After trying Kickin Cajun and Raging Crab...I have finally found The One: Cajun King!!! Service: I opted to visit the Kaneohe location because the Aiea one has disappointing Yelp reviews (mostly on customer service) but the Kaneohe location has WONDERFUL service! From taking our order, refilling our water or even just checking up on us, all three staff members we interacted with were kind and courteous. Food: We ended up here on a Thursday evening and ordered 1 lb of King Crab ($25/lb), 1 lb Shrimp ($11/lb) and an order of Cajun Fries ($7). By far the cheapest per-pound seafood! The King Crab was in mild, garlic butter and the Shrimp was mild, cajun. We ended up loving the garlic butter though I can see how it can be overwhelming for some. The "mild" sauce was actually pretty spicy so it maybe intimidating to order anything above mild. The Cajun Fries are the BEST cajun fries I have ever had! They offered us ranch and ketchup for dipping sauces which was perfect because my SO always opts for ranch and I love simple-dimple ketchup! Thank goodness for the scissors! They provided 3 seafood-eating devices, gloves and a bib but expect to get down and dirty. Atmosphere: This is the largest crab location I have been to. It's spacious with tons of tables, very well-lit and clean. I appreciate their 3 sink counter to wash down after your meal. So maybe 2 lbs of seafood and fries were too much for us by I have no regrets! Will definitely be back!

If you want a giant greasy bag of pre-frozen seafood microwaved to order you've come to the right place. Just kidding, it's a fun restaurant that makes you wear a silly bib and you can re-live your childhood by eating with your hands. The seafood leaves something to be desired as the food tests not your tastebuds but your ability to wrestle with small, oily crustaceans. We had the fried oysters (good), garlic fries (very good), bag ol' seafood with garlic butter sauce (ok), and two gigantic cokes in to-go containers. The crawfish were terrible, shrimp were fine, corn cooked beyond recognition, potatoes were fine, king crab legs were good, and the clams were good.

My fiancé & I talked about eating at the Pearl City location sometime soon, but after seeing a friend of ours send a pic of their food in a group text, it surely got my fiancé craving! We decided to come to this location to check it out, and it was really easy to find. It's located at the same shopping center where there's Ross, Foodland, Genki Sushi, etc...it's located right by Genki & KJ's. This location is HUGE compared to their Pearl City location. We were greeted and seated as soon as we walked in. I wasn't able to get our servers names but they were really friendly, patient (due to me being annoyed at the fact that my son spilled water all over the place, and my fiancé surely not making things better by annoying me even more) and very attentive. They changed the paper that they use as a table cover very quickly after having my son spill water, and always asked if we were ok & refilling our waters. Food was yummy, they use JASMINE RICE (OMG I LOVE JASMINE RICE!..im picky about my rice haha) but we just wish we ordered more snow crab legs. My opted to buying my son their chicken wings with French fries since hes not such a big fan of shellfish (yet!) and we were really surprised on how big their wings were! They were super hot when we got them, so we had to cool them down for him before he ate it but it was really good! I can see us coming here in the future...seems not so well known of so the crowd ain't something to be worried about.

The food was tasty, except for the crayfish. Crayfish simply need to be boiled fresh, not from frozen. The plastic bag the food comes in isn't a very appetizing presentation. Put the food on a platter or in a bucket instead. Foam plates and plastic utensils were not very appealing or eco friendly. I'll eat here again, but I hope they put up some decor, at least some sports on a few TVs. They also need a trash receptacle at the table to throw away shells and heads etc. It's disgusting to have to leave it in a mess all over the table while I'm still eating.

This is my NEW favorite restaurant on windward side !! Restaurant is SUPER clean! Service was EXCELLENT! ! The crab legs are absolutely amazing! I got a lb of crab legs for $15. They were brought out in a bag steaming hot and full of Cajun and garlic sauce. I kept my crab legs in the bag and would take out a piece as I ate and it kept my food hot the entire time. My husband dumped his out on the table and he wished he would have kept his in the bag bc his got cold halfway into the meal. Will definitely be coming back here all the time!

Another first for Kaneohe!! More diversity and new dining options than ever before! We are moving into the future whether we are ready or not. Dean's Drive-in is moving and expanding. Genki Sushi is closed for modernization. Big City Diner is coming to Windward Mall. Big changes for Kaneohe. Location and History: Located behind Foodland in the vicinity of Genki Sushi. You can't see this group of shops from any street. It's in the location of a former Chinese Restaurant which had closed because of a fire. The place was cleaned up and repaired but never reopened. Now Cajun King opened in October 2014. I was one of many Kaneohe residents who didn't even know about this new restaurant until recently. I learned about it from a Yelp search. Venue: So the inside of Cajun King looks like a large elegant Chinese Restaurant, complete with chandelier, banquet rooms and fish tanks. Lots of tables and space. All the tables are set up for the cajun seafood boil experience. You know, paper towels, paper table cloth and bibs/aprons/plastic gloves/crab crackers etc. Food: Lunch Menu: Special Plates with lobster, shrimp, steak or pork chop. The cajun boil is not available at lunch. We did not have lunch there. Dinner Menu: Special Combos with no substitutions allowed. These serve 2 to 3 people @ $48 to $55. Comes with some side dishes. Or you can make your own boil by selecting crab, shrimp, clams etc and pay per pound. There are also some raw oyster, clams and abalone available. Also some fried baskets and Asian Style specials. So lots of options are available on the dinner menu. Messy is good: Well apparently that is the whole cajun experience in a nut shell. We saw tables of four to six to eight fully encased in plastic digging in like it was going to be their last meal. These guys were loving it! Two tables of 6 were eating like that when we came in and were still going at it after we left! Noobs: I admit it. My wife wasn't sure how she felt about the messy part. So she opted for a chicken wing basket. I had the spicy eggplant and rice since I don't eat meat or fish. Some of our Kaneohe neighbors were at the table next to us and it was their first experience too. But, they went for it. So we experienced the cajun seafood boil as voyeurs. Our neighbors decided they really liked it and said they would be back with their kids and parents. They were checking it out before bringing everyone else. The chicken wing dinner was good and pretty big for the price. The eggplant serving was huge and was very flavorful. Went great with white rice. Service: 5 star service from the waiter, waitress and helper. Food came out quickly from the kitchen. Very helpful and attentive pros who were intent on taking care of everyone. Beer and wine is available. 4 Stars: Although we didn't have the complete paper table cloth, bucket with plastic bag, plastic glove and apron experience we still liked the experience. So I think 4 stars is fair for our first visit. My impression is that this place is well run, comfortable, reasonably priced and the food was good. I highly recommend trying Cajun King.

Getting to wear a plastic bib & gloves all while digging in a bag full of yummy seafood, what a fun concept! With my party of 5, we order combos 3 & 4 with a couple side orders of rice & still had some leftover. Recommend the lemon & Cajun garlic sauce!

If the service was better, this place would have received a 5 star. The food was absolutely delicious. We ordered a lb of snow crab legs with Cajun and butter seasoning. I wanted to bring the bag of sauce home. We also got A lobster in black bean sauce. Salt and pepper shrimp, spicy eggplant and an order of Cajun wings for the picky keiki. Everything was so tasty. Again though, if they had delivered the fried catfish when we had ordered it as opposed to when we inquired about it after most of us had eaten our meal, this place would have gotten five stars. Also, if they had cleared our table after we ordered dessert and BEFORE the dessert arrived, they would have received 5 stars. Also, acknowledgement of having forgotten our catfish would have been appreciated. The dessert was also delicious. The fried bread pudding with vanilla ice cream. It was like fried French toast sticks cut into cubes. Sooooo good. I will definitely come back when I can. I'll just have to prepare myself for the service.

One of our favorite places in Kaneohe!! Were pretty much regulars!! Love Chen and his awesome hospitality! He treats his customers with lots of respect! Very clean place and the staff is very friendly! Its as good as it gets here! Never a long wait, even if it was it would totally be worth it! We love seafood and highly recommend this place. Even our kids love it! They always want to go eat "Crabies" lol!

Cajun King consistently lives up to expectations. Prices aren't bad for Hawaii. Food is always good. Wait times for seating are shorter (very short wait-5 min or less each time) than the Kam Highway location. Haven't tried the lunch specials yet, but plan to do tfat soon.

I came here during lunch and it was pretty empty... a good thing since I heard that it's very crowded at night. My grandma and I shared the salt and pepper shrimp and lobster combo and the black bean clams. The portions were spot on and the flavor was excellent. I'm not sure what our waitress' name was but she was really nice and took the time to make small talk with us.

A must experience in Seafood Heaven!!! Have it your way Seafood mild hot or volcanic. Get your aprons ready and don't forget the corn potatoes and sausage in your seafood too. Price worth the grinds.... located in Waimalu and now we got our own in Windward Shopping Center. Friendly staff... like family... warm welcoming and always very helpful.

Finally gave them a try, I was so worried, because I didnt want to be disappointed, I was afraid it was going to be chinese trying to be cajun, Thank You so much, it was wonderful, so much flavor, if you love butter and butter this is the place. I wish they had french bread to soak up all the gravy, amazing. Thank You for being, no more Bubba Gumps and Red Lobster for me. Please add french bread to you menu.

First time here!! And I have to say this place was great. Thank you fellow Yelpers for the recommendation. AMBIENCE I remember this location used to be one of my favorite Chinese restaurants. When I walked in I was impressed. The place was huge and was nicely decorated. The best part was they kept the large aquarium from the previous owners. FOOD Before our food came out we were given bibs and gloves. I giggled because it seemed like we were the only table wearing these, but my sister informed us that we would need them. Our food came in large bags. We got lemon butter shrimp with sausage and corn, and king crab in Cajun sauce. Mind you I don't like spicy foods much so I was happy you get to pick your level of spice. The food was delicious. The only thing is that I'm a lazy eater; so I would have preferred if the shrimp was already peeled, but that's just me. At the end we ordered DEEP FRIED BREAD PUDDING with cookies and cream ice cream. My new favorite thing that I would go back for!! Yummy. In the end I was satisfied. STAFF We ordered and got helped by our awesome server Travis. He recommend some stuff for us based on our likes and dislikes. The other staff members were so nice to check on us also and came by to talk stories. BATHROOMS I didn't use the restroom but I believe that there is one outside of the restaurant that you are able to use. PRICE The bill was pretty $$$ but we did order a lot of food and we had amazing service. PARKING Tons.

Finally got to try the new restaurant in Kaneohe which took over the old joyful garden. Large restaurant with tables that could easily be set up for big parties. -Wait staff are super friendly. -They have a bunch of tools/utensils available to help crack open your lobster and crab legs including sharp scissors. -Bags come full with garlic. Large portions! -Cajun fried chicken wings were super tasty! -Definitely worth giving it a try, price is reasonable for all they have to offer. -Right now it's BYOB while they wait to receive their liquor license. -Large sink area available next to the bathrooms to wash your hands after getting greasy.

Extremely clean and inviting restaurant. Staff very friendly and attentive as soon as you walk in the door. I ordered the fried oyster basket to go with Cajun fries. You get either tartar sauce or cocktail sauce and an option of ranch dressing with the Cajun fries. O Staff are dressed in black pants and monogrammed red shirts which is nice for a change from many other establishments where staff wear jeans and t- shirts. Large spools of paper towel on every table so you can dig in and get messy. No need to keep asking for extra napkins as they already thought ahead and anticipated the customers needs. Ok so on to the food. First they forgot any utensils or napkins with take out which was not an issue for me as I was going home but could be a problem if not addressed. The oysters were some of the worst I have eaten and actually only ate 1 tried a bite of another thinking it might be better and actually couldn't eat it. The batter was good but the oysters were gritty and had a terrible taste like they were pretty old. Actually made me queasy. Maybe not the best thing to try at a Cajun restaurant. Cajun fries were super spicy but good. 2 stars for fries and staff but that was pushing it.

Scrolling the yelp app trying to find something in the Kailua Kaneohe area to eat at after 9 PM... I was getting shot down left and right by places that close before 9. Cajun King pops up. The rating is high and the pictures look appetizing. I'm very picky when it comes to seafood. Living in the Pacific Northwest I eat my share of seafood. So our group arrives and the restaurant is clean. The waiter service is very friendly and inviting. As for the menu, it is very clear with pictures that depict many varieties of seafood in different arrays and combinations. I ordered a 2 lbs of Cajun style shrimp, a lb of crawfish, corn, sausage, and potatoes. When brought out the food was in a big back full of goodness! As far as taste.... Perfect! I would highly recommend this restaurant if you want to escape the norm. Don't get me wrong I love my Musubi's, Manapua, and Loco Moco's, but there are times when Cajun style seafood is a must. You won't be disappointed Chee!

My Wife and I were extremely impressed! We have pretty high standards when it comes to food and it exceeded it for sure. When we first came in we were somewhat skeptical about it but once we got our food all that went away! It was pretty empty and the ambiance inside the restaurant did not match the food at all. We got 2 pounds of snow crab (Cajun and garlic butter, medium) and it was so flavorful and had just the right amount of kick to it. It was really warm and stayed warm which I really liked. I didn't have any other food on their menu and honestly I didn't look. I went there for the crab and crab only. It's in a pretty convenient area if you're around MCBH. Overall 4. Would have been 5 if the venue fit the food! Good staff and clean. Glad We tried this place out!

Couldn't say more great things about this place. Been here for prior occasions but I finally got the chance to take my parents and sibling here to try the place out. Let's just say, food is awesome (messy but awesome nonetheless). They provide the gloves and bib so you put those suckers to use. Ordered the #4 combo the #3 combo 2 pounds of shrimp and snow crab with medium Cajun garlic seasoning and let's just say a combo is enough to feed at the very least 2 people. Seasoning and portions are hefty and generous. Service is awesome and attentive. We were more than happy with everything. Couldn't have had a better family night. Highly recommended if you are near Kaneohe side and craving bomb seafood and not afraid to get dirty.

Love love love. So fist time eating at one of these places. I know they been around awhile but I haven't been able to eat at one of these crab places yet and damn I wish I didn't wait so long. SOOOOO GOOOD. Thanks to my beloved yelpers we were at windward mall and got hungry and so thins place at windward city so decided to stop by. I had the galic king crab legs and garlic shrimp. Onion rings sausage and bread pudding. Bread pudding is THE BOMB. Cajun King Kaneohe is were the old Chinese restaurant used to be next to Genki Sushi. It's really nice in here and very open and spacious. They give gloves and a apron so you don't get dirty. The experience was amazing and Travis was the bomb as well as all the staff here. They're all nice and always check up to make sure we got everything we need. We will definitely be back If you haven't been here yet you gotta go and don't forget the Bread Pudding. It's a must. Good job.

First time here and it was great. The restaurant is spacious a lot of room to move around. There was 4 of us. We got 2 combos and some side dishes. The fried oysters they were really good. The food was a lot for us. The servers and managers we're always checking up on us making sure we had our cups refilled and had small talk. Really excited this place opened here. Can't wait to go back. I would recommend this place. Plus side it's in kaneohe and close to home.

Found this place looking for somewhere to eat. I loved the lunch combo. $12.99 for fried rice, salt and pepper shrimp, and 1/2 a lobster salt and pepper. So yummy. The servers were nice. Our water was always filled. The place is clean and nice location with lots of parking.

Kaneohe needed a place like this. Can't really go wrong with steamed seasoned seafood. What I like most of this place is the $2 domestic and $3 imports. Other places like this in town don't have alcohol or not for $2 or $3. Hope this place last so I can go back.

Great decor! Lots of parking. Staff are friendly and funny. The best part is that we got to make a mess and not have to clean it up plus no smelly trash until trash pick up day with all the seafood shells etc. Super fast service and food. Would be a great place to hold parties and even nice enough to hold a wedding reception.

This place is awesome! I've been to several Cajun style eateries including Crab Hut and Boiling Crab in California and this place certainly is one of my favorite restaurants on the island. Not only is there ample parking in the plaza, but there is plenty of seating in the restaurant for large parties. As soon as you walk in you feel comfortable knowing everything is clean and new with lots of wait staff willing and waiting to serve you with a smile. During our visit we had the Cajun and garlic combo seasoning and it was so ono!!! We had plenty to eat between my husband and I with combo #3 and left there feeling very satisfied! They do not have their liquor license yet so it's BYOB, but once they do get it, beers range from $1.99 for domestic and $2.99 for import beers -- which is an awesome deal! This place is also very kid friendly, as in you don't have to worry about making too much noise or making too much of a mess. They offer crayons and high chairs. Great job, Cajun King! We'll be visiting you often!

We just went to this restaurant, it was really good. They provide you with bibs and gloves too....so funny I just had to put the bib on :) The lady that helped us was really nice. She explained how to order and suggested what was good. We got the Cajun butter garlic snow crab and mussels and added sausage. Yummmm. My dad got the lemon garlic butter, with snow crab and shrimp, this one was so ono when you put the sauce on the rice. The only reason I took off one star was because I think they over cooked the seafood a bit. The crab was stuck to the shell, mussels were all looses in the bag and the shrimp was a bit "chalky". Other than that, we would definitely go back.

Let me just say that this was my first time to a crab boil type of place, but we had a great time! We went on a Thursday around 7 and there was plenty of seats for our 4 top, we got a Dungeness crab combo, a pound of shrimp (both in Cajun garlic mild), Cajun fries (recommended with ranch by our friendly waitress), 1/2 dozen raw Oysters, and a couple rounds of green bottles (reasonably priced!) We finished everything and it was mighty tasty!!! Something different from your regular seafood joint, have fun and get dirte!!!

Best seafood place hands down!! I've been looking for a place that'll season your seafood the way they do back in mainland. You have a few options and I always choose the Cajun & Butter Garlic. I'd say the combos are the best at choosing what you want to eat. Especially if you like various seafood. And it can definitely feed 2 adults! Comes with rice, corn, potatoes, & sausages. Only thing I'd say suck is that you can't order half a pound of anything in the seafood menu. Sometimes I don't want a bunch of shrimp or just muscles but overall the food is delicious!! I always recommend this place to people when they ask where can they get good seafood.

I am so glad another location opened up in Kaneohe. The menu is basically the same as the Waimalu location, including the spectacular lunch specials. I do wish that they allowed cajun & garlic butter as one of the lunch options, but I guess heaven can wait. The service is what really does not live up to the other location. I dined with two others and we each had a question about the menu. For each question, our server had to go around asking basically the entire staff before coming back with an answer. Slightly annoying but no bigs. The food was excellent. I am not a cajun connoisseur but I can dig it! I hope that the service team can get it together so that the next visit is nothing short of fabulous.

They have really friendly staff and their menu has a great variety for decent prices. My husband and I shared a combo #4 which is a three-pound bag of snow crab, mussels, clams, crawfish, shrimp, corn on the cob, potatoes, and sausage. We loved their house blend seasoning, Cajun and garlic butter sauce. We had a family dinner with 5 other adults and two kids and their staff made us feel right at home. Be prepared to dig in and get dirty, though it's nice that they offer gloves as an option.

  • Brian B.

The seafood was delicious, we ordered snow crab legs, mussels, and shrimp with a creole garlic butter seasoning. The degree of spice we choose was mild and this was the perfect amount. We choose to go ala carte instead of the combination dinner since we didn't want clams or crawfish. The amount you receive of each type of seafood in the combination dinner was smaller than we would have liked. So that was our best reasoning. We also got the green beans with garlic and they were well done. It was great to dip the green beans in the creole seasoning too. This is a great place for friends and family to talk and take their time enjoying their food.

Cajun King Kaneohe is a great place to get your seafood grind on! I have been here thrice this year - for my hubby's birthday, and for lunch twice since then and each time it's a hit! The staff is so kind and attentive and patiently answers all our questions. The square footage is huge, with lots of tables and a side room for a nice private party. The irony of life for me is I am allergic to shellfish, and what I've seen my husband eat makes me salivate with envy - cajun spiced sweet lobster meat dipped in drawn butter, amidst chunks of sweet corn cobs, smoked sausage slices, potatoes, crawfish and shrimp! I have had the catfish basket with cajun fries (oooh sooo goood!!), chicken wings basket with fries (yes!! they really do it perfectly) and lunch special cajun oxtail soup and rice, in which I could not detect any cajun flavor but it was still extremely delicious! This is my husband's most favorite place that is a non-Mexican restaurant. I am tempted to bring Benadryl with me next visit so I can dive into a sack of steaming lobster with all the trimmings and experience the eye rolling to the back of the head that my hubby does - I've got lobster envy so bad!

Terrible. Do not order the hamburger steak. It's the worst I've ever eaten! Yes, I understand there's so much more to order but seriously they need to take this off the menu.

This was my first time to the Kaneohe restaurant and it was wonderful! The restaurant is spacious, tables and chairs are clean, and they have a wash area near the restrooms. We were seated quickly- wait staff are very attentive! We ordered the 1 lb snow crab and 1 lb shrimp in lemon garlic butter sauce and an order of salt and pepper shrimp. The food arrived quickly and we were given all the "tools" we would need. The food is excellent! So much butter and garlic- even the corn was soaking up all that goodness! The food was cooked perfectly. No complaints at all! The salt and pepper shrimp was terrific- there was about a dozen in one order. The crab and shrimp was a lot of food- 2 adults and 1 child and we still took home leftovers. Our waiter suggested dessert- deep fried bread pudding with condensed milk and ice cream. It is a must have! Even if you are stuffed- get dessert! It is divine! Crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside- I would go back just for dessert! Our bill was $60 for all that food- great deal! Our waiter Travis was friendly, funny, playful, and attentive! Even the other servers were so nice and funny. My daughter has already said she wants to come back for her birthday and any other reason we have for going out to dinner. I think we could've fed one more person with the amount of food we had. We will definitely be going back and I cannot wait!

Yelpers were spot on regarding Cajun King. After a visit to the Botanical Gardens, we ventured into town. Although it was nestled in the corner of a shopping center and tough to find a quick call and gracious assistance led us to the restaurant. The servers were attentive and gracious despite a large party in the banquet room. I ordered the garlic green beans - which were cooked to perfection. My date (husband) ordered one pound of Shrimp Cajun Style - and could not finish his meal. For my second dish, I ordered the fried oysters. Again, large portion, tasty , crisp and plump. The accompanying fries were golden, crunchy - and abundant. Cajun King will be on our list of go-to spots when we return. Just wish we had arrived early enough to sample the lunch menu

My friend and I just tried this place for the first time. The steak and lobster were both really poor quality. Service was fine but food was disappointing. Maybe some of their other stuff food is decent but based on the quality I doubt it. However I do see a lot of positive reviews on here so maybe it isn't so bad for most people.

This is my fifth time here and I've never been disappointed. Their customer service is awesome, fast, and the food is great. I have tried just about everything on their menu, including the dessert, and they're all delicious. I will definitely keep coming back.

I had visited Cajun King for lunch (they have some great specials) but really wanted to try one of their Special Boils but they only do them for 2 (Honestly could've done it myself a few years back but that was FAT me). Anyway came with my son and ordered the Special #3, KingCrab, shrimp, crawfish, mussels, clams, corn, potatoes and sausage. Honestly I had figured since I left the mainland my seafood boil days were long gone but I'm happy to report these folks do a great job! You order your MAIN event (King, snow, Dungeness or lobster), seasoning and heat and in no time you're presented with a BIG bag of delicious boil. Everything was cooked perfect and the seasoning was excellent. Plenty of food for 2 hungry NYers! The place is very clean and the service was excellent! Not much on the décor but frankly when I'm going elbows deep and wearing half my food I don't want to feel I'm under-dressed. Great other feature, afterwards I went to go to the restroom to clean up and they smartly have a wash station with 3 sinks so you don't even have to get the knob greasy on the lua!

Visited Cajun King twice when they opened a few months ago. Yum. First time Seafood Bag. ($55 shared). Second time ordered Oysters with Ginger/Green onions. Also Garlic Green Beans. Generous serving. Tonight ordered the Oysters n Green Beans again to go. Received 8 manini oysters, hardly any sauce, n over cooked green onions. Green beans were tasteless but green. Getting much to expensive for small portions. ($29 for one serving). Why do new restaurants change portions after opened for awhile ?

This was our first time coming to Cajun King, I've been craving shrimp for the longest time, we've usually gone to these types of places before but since my friends liked it so much I had to try it. Service: As soon as we walked through the doors, the guy at the front gave us a huge smile and said "Howdy!" Lmao! Me being sick wasn't in the friendliest mood so I just smiled and giggled a little. He was very polite though, he sat us and our waiter came to the table, once again very nice young gentleman, he explained everything to us, the specials the menu, how it worked (simple just like any other crab place). As we ate, they constantly checked on us, checked on our drinks, made sure we were okay. Service was grade A+ I liked them. Food: when it first came out it was HOT!!! Hahaha of course me being me trying to peel the shrimps while its hot I burned my hands couple times, all my fault. Eventually I got into it and peeled all my shrimps before I ate. We did get the lemon garlic Shrimp, which was delicious and the garlic butter snow crab. Prices weren't bad, $15.00 for a lb of snow crab and $11.00 for a lb of shrimp, all in all not to shabby for my wallet. I would definitely come back again!

Well they've just opened and it is my first time at this location so this is more of a preview of what's to come. As of now my consensus is that this place is going to do well. Nothing like it in Kaneohe even though places similar to this restaurant are popping up and have been around for some time throughout this Island. Nice place, great staff, good food and lots of fun, chill , casual family style dining!!! Stay tuned for my updates..... Cuz I will be back!!!

This place was highly recommended by local person and indeed it was one of a kind experience! Server brought entire sea food order in plastic bag, shakes it and it was ready. $55 collection was enlightening for both of us! And it was definitely tasty food! Few negatives why I took down 1 star. A restoration it self is not fancy. It has simple white walls inside. And so many times environment sets the mood. B brown or rise was bright in simple plastic bowl. So even though I loved food but presentation (location) and plates would definitely enhance experiment.

Very nice staff, but the food was so bad that my wife and I couldn't eat it. The genre is Cajun, but is nothing like Cajun food. I grew up in a family owned Cajun food restaurant in Louisiana, and know that nothing served to us would qualify as such. This is Chinese food with lots of salt, butter, and five spice. That alone would've at least been tolerable, but the food was way over salted and buttered, and that's coming from someone who likes salty food. This was the only time I've ever taken one bite of crab leg and been disgusted. I went in expecting mediocre, non-authentic Cajun food, but apparently even those sights were set too high. We both left with $60 less in our pockets and upset stomachs.

Kaneohe is stepping it up! I can only comment on lunch. The choices were excellent for creating your own combo. I had the salt pepper pork chop and salt pepper lobster. The chop was good, but winner was the lobster! Next visit will be crab and shrimp! But guess what, only $12.99!

I was hungry and the chicken wings looked good! We did takeout. Cajun wings not so great. Fries were soggy and super oily. We actually threw them away. Black bean crab was ok. Glad the crab had plenty miso. Deep fried oysters had way too much breading. Pahkes oysters much better.

This place was ono! The portions are big enough to feed two, maybe three. My wife and I shared a snow crab leg bag and we were too full to finish.

This "experience" is almost comical. My husband and I decided to try something new so we stopped in for an early dinner. We had no idea what we were in for... We decided on lobster and side potato. Order was placed and we were brought two paper plates. Yes paper plates. When it was finally delivered to our table it was in a plastic bag. Not a box in a bag like normal to-go items but literally the lobster was just served swishing around in the sauce with our foil wrapped potato in a plastic bag. We didn't ask for it to-go, and we were sitting at a table they sat us at. Weird but ok we're gonna see this through. We pulled the lobster and potato from the dripping plastic bag. My paper thin bib tore immediately and we weren't given anything to remove the lobster meat. Unfortunately the lobster was not cut, or made easy to remove in any way. So we had no choice but to flag down the waiter. The waiter cut a few pieces and the head. Said "I don't eat that part" and threw away a good chunk of meat. He left and we still continued to struggle through the rest of the shell. This guy had apparently never been taught or seen how a lobster should be cut. Had a few bites of the potato but it had absorbed so much of the lobster sauce that it was just terrible. Ok I give up. Look around to clean off my hands and there are no napkins, no wipes. Thank god I had asked for water because I was dipping my hands in it to wash off all that mess. Honestly I couldn't get out of there fast enough.

We only went there to get a take out menu and check out the establishment. But we were easily whisked away by the amazing smell! My wife and I ordered 1 pound of mild garlic and butter crawfish, and their hot wings. This is one of the very few places that offer crawfish around, and it was delicious! Their fries and hot wings were great as well! would definitely come back for some more
