Thanks to Kim S.'s posting in the "Events" section of Yelp Honolulu, I found out about Baskin-Robbins' $1.31 Scoop Day! One scoop is regularly $3.19, but on the 31st of every month in 2015, ice cream is just $1.31. I had to check it out! Luckily, there is a convenient location in Kaneohe. In the Windward City Shopping Center - across from McDonald's and almost right next to Ross, the pink and blue logo of Baskin-Robbins welcomes everyone! With free parking and great air conditioning, this is a real treat on a hot summer day! The interior is bright, clean and festive with cute decorations! The workers were so friendly and helpful! They approached me as I was scanning all of the flavors, trying to narrow down my selection. They offered me samples, but I just wanted to jump in and "chance 'em"! Greek Sunset sounded different, but not too weird, so I had that peach/mango/orange scoop in a sugar come - YUM! Then, I topped it off with another cone: Pineapple Coconut, but it was a lower sugar content... awwww.... but I was full and happy, so I continued my day with a satisfied tummy... Note: I was worried about a crowd, but I got there at a good time: before school let out!! Plus, the shop was prepared with 4 employees! Good planning! Will be back on October 31 and December 31, 2015! Yippee!! See you there!!

Awful. Absolutely awful. The kids who work this place know nothing about customer service and don't even seem to care. Our ice cream order was completely wrong. When we got it home, we discovered that our ice cream scoops had been mixed up, so half of my ice cream got combined with half of my stepdad's and so on. It's just ridiculous. How do you mess up orders as simple as "put two scoops in the container"? Simple. They just don't care. We will be contacting management about this, if we can reach anyone IN management.

I'm not going to lie and say I'm not a fan of this place, because I am! I think Baskin-Robbins has seriously been looked over. I also think this location in particular is pretty great. I've always had great experiences. A couple of praises.. The workers have been really nice, and very open. They don't mind your sampling, and actually sometimes encourage you to sample before you buy. I'm always encouraged to try the Flavor of the Month when I walk in. I think that's really great! Speaking of Flavor of the Month, I love that Baskin-Robbins has this! Not all places take the time to find and incorporate more flavors in their selection, but Baskin-Robbins does! They're actually pretty interesting too. Oreo n' Cake and Dunkin' Donuts Coffee N' Donut are two of their more recent flavors of the month, to name a few. I also love that you can get cakes from Baskin-Robbins, along with shakes, malts, and sundaes. They're usually open until 10pm, which is an advantage of not being in a mall. Sometimes some of the workers, the older ones usually, give smaller scoops than the other workers. It depends on who's working when you're there, but this isn't really anything anyone can fix. I also don't really care for the location of this Baskin-Robbins, however I do like that it's outside. All in all, a great place for a scoop of ice cream. I'm definitely going to be back! I'm the duchess, after all! (for now, at least!) Btw, I highly recommend trying the Oreo n' Cake flavor if it's still there. I love it! Also, their mint chocolate chip ice cream is my favorite mint chocolate chip ice cream of all time, and it's great in shake form as well. Treat yourself soon and get some ice cream!

I called yesterday to order a birthday cake last minute. The gentleman on the phone was so friendly and helpful! I lucked out too, because they happened to have the flavor I was looking for (Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream Cake). I needed a large cake too, to feed a bunch of folks. He put it on hold with my name. When I got to the store, he welcomed me with a friendly smile, showed me two mint chocolate chip ice cream cakes and let me write down the wording for the cake (in Hawaiian) for him to complete with blue frosting. We had a 15 minute drive home in traffic, so I put it on the floor and turned on the air conditioner. The cake was fine when we got home, it fit into our freezer (thank goodness!) and everyone enjoyed it later in the evening after dinner. Excellent customer service. The cake is - as you'd expect - expensive, but worth it for a special birthday! Thanks B&R!!!

We went for the special 1.31 for a scoop of ice cream!! A great deal they will be having on the 31st of each month. We were able to sample a couple of new flavors that were available but stuck with mint chocolate chip and chocolate as our usual. The atmosphere was fun and inviting the cashier super friendly and patient. I have 2 little girls that couldn't make up their mind and she was even reminding me of the deal and they could get two scoops!

We've lived nearby so going to a neighborhood desert place is a good walk. The employees know me & generally guess the order. Three stars because their soft serve machine broke & they haven't fixed it in nearly 6 months & counting. Really? An ice cream place without soft serve?

Came here on Veteran's Day to try the Camo Ice Cream. Come on, if you serve camouflage ice cream you have to be military friendly, right??? WRONG! I'm a veteran, and so I assumed that Baskin Robbins would be offering something to our country's service members (on Veteran's Day of all days), especially since they were heavily marketing their Camo Flavored Ice Cream of the month. When I asked the server if they had any discounts she exclaimed, "No." Not no, sorry about that. Not, no but I'll ask my manager. Not, no, but I can give you 10% off. Just, "No." I think Baskin Robbins should pull their camo ice cream off the market if they don't cater to military, but profit off of military related products. Granted they are donating 10 cents of each sale to the USO (whoopdedoo). I guess that counts for something, but come on BR's, you can do much much better than that, ESPECIALLY, on the ONE day of the year that pays tribute to Veterans. So so many other establishments show their respect, but today your lack of generosity was so offensive that I will probably never visit another BR for as long as I live.

The past few times i've been here the a/c has been broken...it's a bit odd to walk into an ice cream shop that is warm. At first I figured they were trying to get people in the mood to eat ice cream but finally I asked and the girl behind the counter informed me the temperature was not intentional. I can't fault the store itself for that, maybe its the building management (this whole shopping complex has its share of technical difficulties) but I can fault them for their mediocre-service. I agree with Terri that their attitudes could use some minor adjustment but who wouldn't be pissed off at having to work in such conditions? I'd just stick my head in the 31 flavors cooler for some relief but i'm sure that would violate some kind of food safety standard. I did thoroughly enjoy my ice cream cake though (pralines and cream) and it was really pretty: yelp.com/biz_photos/oLp5… It was delicious but not as firm as it should have been, pretty melted even though we popped it in the freezer a while before we cut & served at home, probably due to the a/c inefficiencies in the store. I do like that their frosting isn't overly-thick or too sweet and the cake is the perfect thick, spongy vehicle to soak up the melted ice cream. I do love the B&R chain's birthday club! Free scoop coupon is emailed to you the week of your birthday! Also, extra star for having the greatest jingle! ICE CREAM and CAKE and CAKE, ICE CREAM and CAKE and CAKE! I can't help but sing it to myself every time I pass by. lol

So I came here after working out at 24 Hour Fitness recently, since I needed something to take the edge off and found Baskin-Robbins here at the Windward City shopping center. It's pretty cool to be taking a day trip out here on a beautiful Saturday morning. The store itself is kind of big, but not too big. It's what you'd expect from a Baskin-Robbins store - or any typical ice cream parlor in fact. The kid who serviced me was probably still in high school or in college. She gave me good service and that was cool. Only gripe I have was that the sign on the board said large cup was $3.19 and I thought it would be under $3.50, until I saw the total was close to $6.00. Ugh. That bites, but I guess this is my first lesson. I suck at life when this comes up. I should've asked first instead of assuming that price was for the large one. FML. The flavor I ended up getting was the 3 point chocolate. It wasn't anything special. Just dark chocolate with some peanut butter M&M's lodged in it. This was $6.00?? You gotta be kidding me. The parking situation is pretty good, since it is sitting in Windward City Shopping Center. The store itself is clean, so its not like I can fault them for that. I guess it is what it is.Definitely not a fan of Baskin-Robbins. I mean the ice cream is alright. Not the greatest, but I guess after a while, you know what bad ice cream, average ice cream, store bought (Safeway), ice cream, and Cold Stone Creamery ice cream is. Let me go back to Cold Stone Creamery, the Starbucks of ice cream. Meh. B-

The Good: *They upgraded from 10 years ago, finally *Various flavors much to choose from The Bad: *Not high on customer service *Kind of in a ghetto area, but it's not necessarily in a bad area *I'm not really a fan of Baskin Robins Ice Cream - the texture could be more rich The Weird: *Yeah the lady working is definitely Korean and/or Chinese and she sees this as just a job, not a passion for ice cream. Felt like I was being hustled for money. Really, off of ice cream? Come on, one scoop and I'm good. Thank You.

LOVE Baskin-Robbins ice cream. HATE this store's lack of customer service and cleanliness. We've lived about 2 miles from this store for a year, so we go there about once a month. Scoops are average-size. Price is expensive for what you get but sometimes I just need my BR fix (and that's the cost you get at all BRs). However, aside from the OPEN sign that isn't lit half the time (so you have no idea when you're driving up if they're actually open or closed) and the lack of cleanliness, the kids they have working the counter appear to have never been trained in customer service. I had the worst experience tonight and, without going into detail, suffice it to say I will be going to the BR on Hickam from now on. This poor excuse of a BR store will no longer be getting my business or my money. P.S. There is parking and you can usually find a space here or there, but the spaces are very small. Agree with other reviews, the area is run down. Lock your doors.

I have always loved Baskin-Robbins, the ice cream is always delicious and it is perfect for a mid-day or after dinner snack! We have been going to this location since I was very little since it is right up the road! However, the cleanliness and service has definitely decreased over time. The store is not too big, but has a reasonable amount of tables and chairs, it is never overly busy. The chairs are usually scattered around, the tables are not necessarily the cleanest, and the floors are not very clean at all. They have a good stock of ice cream and a referigerator section that is almost always full. The service could be friendlier and portions could be bigger, they have definitely decreased over the years too (but whose hasn't!) The prices are a little crazy, especially for hand packed to go quarts and half gallons, but I do love their 2 scoop hot fudge sundaes, it doesnt get much better than that!

So, here's my problem....I love ice cream, I love Baskin Robbins ice cream, the girls here were super nice....but when did baskin Robbins get so expensive?? Their cakes and ice cream are a little overpriced and what's worse is that they don't have some of the same cakes as they do on mainland. That's my true disappointment since their prices compare with other ice cream shops. I also think I hold onto the shop for sentimental reasons but as I get older, the ice cream doesn't quite hold up to other shops, especially mom and pop homemade ice cream parlors (kind of a different category, I know).
