Really good pizza!!! Great crust and sauce. Great place for lunch. Reasonable prices. Good and friendly service. I'd take a pic but it's already devoured!

We had some of our best times at The Landing when we were staying in Honokaa. The patrons were friendly and we had superb Pizza - some of the best we've had at very reasonable cost. As a matter of fact, the single slice (1/5 of a 18" pizza) is enough for most people. We had good service, and, in addition to the good pizza, great beer. It is a bar, so if you hate sports on TV, stay away. However, if you like karaoke including Hawaiian songs, sung by local folks, you are in luck!

As a twenty-something from the mainland this place is great. Satisfied my pizza craving and they have a good selection of beer and bar. Prices are fair in comparison to anything else on the island. I'll be back even though I am actually forty. ;)

Kind staff. Huge Slices of pizza. Tasty Salad. Has outlets for people needing to charge phones

It's really too bad. I first reviewed this place a year ago and I thought that things would have changed by now. Still out of menu items, still takes 45 min or more to get food (including pupus), employees standing around talking when my beer glass has been empty for over 10 min. I don't know what it will take for this place to change. It is the only bar in town so I can see why they think they don't need to change, as they will always have people coming in. I would just hope they take the initiative soon to make a change. The staff is nice and friendly, they just don't seem to have to drive to make the place thrive. Oh well.

The service was lovely! Great drinks and fast table service. My only complaint was that the pizza just wasn't my style. The crust was a little tough, and the veggies were a little soggy. I got a hot sandwich the next time and it was good. The prices were totally reasonable as well.

Great newer place in town. One of the very few places open late and on Sunday. Stop by and grab a drink with friends watch the game on tv or just talk story with the great staff. I've visited this establishment twice now both in the evening and mid day. When I went on a Sunday night surprisingly it was fairly busy. In fact I felt bad for the waitress as she was covering all the tables and bar alone. It also took longer than expected for a slice of pizza but it was tasty and a rather large slice. Mid day it wasn't busy at all so my food came out much quicker. The staff on both occasions was great and they'll even talk story with you. Whether you're local or just visiting they're inviting which is always great to see. I'll definitively come back the next time I'm here visiting family.

The service was beyond terrible. We waited 25 for chips and salsa straight out of a can and bag. Spring Mix Salad was meh. BLT was so undercooked we sent it back. Plenty of staff on cell phones oblivious to the needs of customers. This place SUCKS. Do not waste your money.

The pizza really is the best I've had in Hawaii, and the place is friendly, well lit, and comfortable. Honestly, this would be a five star review, expect for the fact that when we went (10 pm on a Sat), there were two extremely drunk men that made me fear for my safety, and the staff seemed not to care. The guys were barely dragged out by their friends, but I was troubled by the staff's apathy towards it all, even as the guys were getting violent.

Definitely the best pizza in the area and a cute place for lunch. Reasonable prices as well. The pizza was substantial, nice thick crust. Great sauce. Get the pizza!

My husband and I stopped by for dinner during our drive around the island. It was 2/3 full and we were seated right away. Our server was super friendly and we loved the laid back atmosphere. Our server took our order right away and brought us our drinks. I ordered the edamame for a starter and the veggie sandwich. My husband ordered the Smokie burger. We proceeded to wait for 30 minutes for our food. Then 45, and finally after 50 minutes my husband's order came out followed by mine several minutes later. I can sympathize with being slammed with orders that slow down the delivery of the food, but waiting 50 minutes for a burger and sandwich when it didn't appear to be that busy way laughably bad. My husband described his burger as "pretty terrible." My sandwich was sopping with grease and the chips that came as a side were somehow stale, even though chips were a side with most of the meals. The server did apologize for the slow arrival of the food and asked if we needed anything. My husband asked for ketchup, which never arrived. Neither did the edamame. I hope it was an off night, and not any other reason that we received such poor service (such as the fact that we were tourists). We'll try somewhere else next time we're in the area.

Nice pub food and atmosphere ... And the price is right after spending a weekend in the kohala ripoff and bad service zone.

If you love little hole in the wall bars this place is for you! We came here on a Saturday nite after eating dinner at the Tex drive in..which was a bust. I wish we would have tried the pizza here because the locals rave about it. Anyhow we were here for a couple drinks and my husband sung karaoke. The manager was so friendly. He brought us chips and pretzels to snack on with our drinks...nice touch! The karaoke machine is automatic so you insert a dollar and sing lol. The locals were super fun too. We had tried coming here the day before but it was first Friday and really packed. So glad we had the chance to visit!

My husband and I ate here with our one year old son and we were very pleased with the food and service. We ordered the smokey burger and a pizza slice and the service was quick and food delicious. Could see ourselves coming back to this place.

Just moved to Big Island Found this place on YELP. May have been the best pizza I have ever had. Buy it by the slice or create your own 18". Full bar, draft beers, and two football games on two TV's. This place will not disappoint..!

Really good pizza with all of the ingredients made fresh everyday. Locals are friendly and were singing karaoke. The place was priced really well, would definitely come again next time I am on the island.

Great burger! I was looking for a place to grab a bite after hiking into and out of Waipio Valley and happened upon The Landing. I sat at the bar and had the smoky burger which was thicker and juicier than your average pub burger and cooked just right with just a trace of pink in the middle. Maybe not THE BEST burger I've ever had, but pretty high on the list. I don't even eat meat that often, but I would definitely order it again. Served with Maui onion chips (yum) and pineapple cole slaw (unique but unremarkable). Prices are way reasonable, especially for Hawaii! Service was good but not exceptional. Atmosphere is inviting. Sports on the TV if you're into that.

The Landing is laid back and family friendly. Everybody is welcoming, you don't need to worry if you don't actually live in or near town. It is a place that everybody can feel comfortable and have a good time. It can get crowded, especially if something is going on in Honoka'a. The pizza tastes so good.. like the kind of pizza I used to eat as a kid. It has that home-style pizza taste and pizzas are huge, affordable and delicious. After a few beers, someone could get really creative with the pizza toppings... invent a new Landing Pizza masterpiece. I like the homemade mango ice tea. They have Karaoke if you are feeling musical. There is still the original hitching post outside but I have never seen anyone tie up their horse, at least not yet.

On our "date night", my husband and I went to "The Landing", the food was so delish that we went back last night with our kids. We ordered their smokey burger, nachos, hot wings, cheese breadsticks, BLT and the french dip sandwich...we were stuffed! Their lilikoi margarita is also the best! Nice and friendly staff as well! My kids loved it so much today we ordered a pizza and more cheese breadsticks. I can guarantee we will be back for more! :)

Mainlanders driving by on 19 and were hungry. Found this place and very satisfied. Went in on a Thursday night. Proper size menu for the venue and location. Decided on a pizza for us, 2 couples in our late 20s. Very delicious and we have 2 slices leftover. The only downsides was the one waitress seemed over-burdened and the kitchen was very slow. Had the NFL network on several flat-screens and locals having end of day drinks. Karaoke was starting up as we were leaving.

Chicken wings were awesome! Burger was really good. Nice smokey flavor in the meat. It was just the right size. Not one of those half pound monsters. Table of guys next to us had some great looking pizza. The way they were stuffing it down, it had to be great. Lots of big screen TVs to watch your favorite football team. Owner/server was super nice and wanted to please. Not a fancy pretentious place. Your basic great little cafe/bar, good food at a reasonable price, opened around Sept '13. I wish them well. Honoka'a is a cool little town.

Best local drinks in Honoka'a! My faves were the Maui rum and coconut vodka. See you at the grand opening comedy show on July 5!

Had lunch at The Landing yesterday. The menu is adequate. My friend and I both ordered the BLT sandwich. Have to say it was one the most boring, unimpressive BLTs I've ever had. Serving it on a bun instead of slices of toast just didn't work for me - all you could taste was bun. The coleslaw was okay - a bit too vinegary for my taste but still nice and the potato chips were potato chips. The best thing about the meal was the price of $7.00 for the plate. I don't drink and I don't watch sports so from purely a food experience I probably won't return and would not recommend.
