The prices are too high for the amount of food that they give not to mention that the pictures of the food are deceiving. I ordered the bi bim bap, which I have ordered since their opening many years ago and it usually came in a stainless steel bowl (as pictured) which was plentiful, but when it came, the bowl was a much smaller version in a black ceramic bowl filled with mostly rice. Hardly any vegetables and barely any meat. The Mandoo plate pictured looked like it was homemade, but the actual order that came was the frozen gyoza type that are available in the frozen section in the market. I'll never come back. It's a rip off. I'll go to Kum Yo instead. Way better food and the prices are reasonable.

Horrible service, overpriced for the portions they give, AND the corn smelled like it was about to go bad and it was REALLY slimy like someone spit in it!! The chicken katsu was like eating deep fried crunchy bread. NEVER going back here. I don't know how they are still in business! Go to kalbi express instead.

My mom and I came here for lunch one day and shared a plate. It was about $8 for a mini Korean chicken plate, and while the price may seem steep, the plate was big enough to feed the both of us. The food was okay, but it got me wanting to go to an authentic Korean restaurant.

I recently spent a month abroad in Korea, and the entire time I found myself dreaming of Yum Yum's bibimbap. In fact, immediately upon arriving back home, I went straight there and got some. While it may not be the fanciest restaurant, the food is great. Service is occasionally slow, depending on what you order, but that's to be expected when there are only a few employees and many customers. The bibimbap is my favorite, a bit different than the traditional but I prefer their version! The Yum Yum Special is also amazing - kalbi, BBQ pork, BBQ chicken, and a choice of four sides. It's about $13, which is great considering how much you get and how filling it is. All in all, I think it's an underrated place. I come here often and I see quite a few others who do as well.

Food is way over priced for what you get, they give you 4 sides that look like is meant to feed a small child.i had ordered a fish jun and it was so thin it could have just been the breading around the fish ! And also got a bbq pork that they had just cut up in small pieces to make it seem they give a lot .... If anyone had ever eaten at a pearls restraunt and then came here, you would honestly just laugh! So sad how stingee they are with their food ! Never goin there again that's for sure !

Perfect for a quick fast food stop. Slow service but friendly staff. The beef was so good in the loco moco. The daily specials were a good deal.

I was hoping to get some great Korean Chicken, and was hoping for a great meal. I understand how the prices have gone up lately so I didn't mind the increase in price as the menu included the main dis, rice, and choice of four sides. We had ordered two Korean Chicken plates as the advertised picture looked delicious!! I wish it were true! Not only did it not look like four (4) choices of sides, It looked like a few pieces of microwaved chicken pieces dipped in some kind of korean barbecue-ish sauce. For the amount and quality of food, $9.39 plus tax ($20 for two no drinks) is a bit high. Very disappointed. I

Horrible service. As a person who also works in the food service industry, the woman who took our order frustrated me. First off, she didn't acknowledge us standing in line, (which, in the food service industry, is among the first lessons of service) and made us wait for her to be ready before she even took our order. Secondly, we started off our order with the Fish Katsu, which she immediately said "You're gonna have to wait." Then an order of the spicy pork, which she didn't even take the order for the sides to go with it. After that, we waited over half an hour for our food while customers who arrived after us got their orders before us. Horrible horrible service, lady with the glasses. If I could give you zero stars, I would.

Came for dinner and let's just say I was less than pleased! 1) workers were very disorganized and couldn't keep up with orders. Plates were mixed up, made wrong and orders were skipped! 2) the price was over priced for the size of the plate, especially compared to other similar places, like yummies or tasteys. 3) the place was dirty, ie. Full trash bag in the bin and overflowing bag out of the bin, tables all dirty. 4) and this is the BIGGEST issue.... I witnessed the cook grab raw chicken out of a bowl with his bare hands to put on the grill!! NEVER AGAIN!!

Several years ago, I went to the Prince Kuhio Mall to find a plate lunch when I chanced upon what I perceived to be a familiar Korean take-out from Honolulu, YUMMY'S. I did a double-take as it was actually YAMMY'S, spelled in the same script letters in orange as YUMMY'S. "AHA," I thought to myself, "a direct steal! They're going to hear from the attorneys about this!" I ordered the bulgogi (BBQ rib-eye), which was pretty tasty and filling, The four sides along with the rice was also plentiful - I particularly enjoyed the bean sprouts. The food rated "four stars," with a deduction for trade-name infringement. Ironically, I had been wearing a YUMMY'S baseball cap that very day! Later visits to the mall confirms that a likely "cease-and-desist" demand by YUMMY'S legal team resulted in the name change.
