My family and I have been eating at this restaurant for over 25 years. The owners and staff are great people! The food is so much better than other Chinese restaurants in the area. I love the crunchy fried wontons that are waiting for you on the table. This is something you eat with your hands, so you will not get plates just for the crunchy wontons for those that are complaining. You will, however, get plates when you are served the egg roll. When you're ready to order, I recommend the wonton soup, crab angle, beef with broccoli, pepper steak, Mongolian beef, sweet and sour chicken, and sesame chicken. You will not be disappointed! Enjoy!

I have been coming to this place since I was a sophomore in high school. Since then, it has gone down hill. It is always a hit or miss with this place now. Either the food is great and the waiters are really attentive or you have to wave a waiter down for them to take your drink orders and when it comes to the food sometimes it feels like you are eating rice that they made a week ago. The only reason I keep going back is hoping that they get their act together. That being said the last time I went they were on cue with the food and the customer service. If you decide to try this location, I recommend that you go when they are not busy.

Not sure about the food yet but the service is horrible. I called ahead but they kept me holding until I finally got there. I hung up and went inside to order. When I said I was there to place a to go order to the girl, she said the guy would take my order and he rolled his eyes, took the order, and never said thank you. Apparently they can't handle the business and don't appreciate it either.

Wow what a treat. The food was delicious and the service was spot on. The host sat us quickly and just like that, the waiters were bringing us drinks and taking orders. The food is authentic and the decor is typical for a 'good' Chinese restaurant. The portions that we ordered were tasty and huge. We ended up taking home leftovers, which our waiter efficiently boxed and bagged. Orange slices and fortune cookies closed out the meal. I eat out a lot, this is my 170+ day on the road this year and this was by far, one of my favorite meals. I look forward to coming back.

A staple of the Oakwood food scene. Inexpensive, delicious American-ized Chinese dishes. Good soups, good appetizers, good entrees -- and at lunch you can get all three for less than ten bucks! Very friendly and accommodating staff, as well. Also: Free wifi!

First time visit and we will be back. I had the Happy Family #502 and my wife had the Lemon Chicken off the lunch menu. Both were very good. Also had the Hot and Sour soup and was very pleased. Especially with the freshness of the ingredients. Service was very good with three waiters making sure we were taken care of. Very polite staff.

Thumbs up for Golden Buddha, We had the General Tso's Chicken, Pork Egg foo young and pork fried rice. Quick warning that the Egg Foo Young here is made different than most places we have been to, the egg comes underneath the sauce and meat. None the less it was still very tasty, and after a quick call the owner set me straight and told me the differences. The service at the counter was super fast. The really did have it ready in 15 minutes. The flavor was wonderful and the price was reasonable. We would eat here again.

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. The service here is terrible. We came in for lunch and were told "you can sit there" as the manager pointed to a booth. He didn't walk us to the table or give us menus. The waiter picked up a bowl of crunchy noodles from a different table and set them on ours. When I asked for fresh noodles, he got them but we had to ask for duck sauce. He brought us packets of duck sauce. No plates either. ARE YOU FRIGGIN' KIDDING ME? We got up and left. The manager didn't apologize for the poor service. He probably didn't care anyway. This place is overpriced and the service is bad. The food didn't look good either. This establishment is for people who don't know what good Chinese food is supposed to be like (says the girl from NYC).

Very good food, try to go on lunch time it is cheaper. The wonton soup is very tasty and the fried rice is great. The whole menu does not dissapoint. The service might not be great at times but the food is really worth it.

I don't know what type of food this was but it was not Chinese. The fried rice tasted more like Santa - fe style Mexican rice and everything was bland. Six of us ate here and all six didn't like it. Had better food at the local Chinese buffet.

My hometown Chinese spot. Always good to go here. The people know me so I always receive high class service here. The food is always great. The portions you get at dinner are huge!

I've been looking for a place that have good noodle soup since I've move to North Ga. I love to eat great noodle soup and other soup in general. I have eaten their hot & sour soup three times, the ingredients is fresh tasting and it makes the soup excellent for cold rainy days or when the urge for a good soup is calling you. Yesterday, I came there for lunch and was in the mood for soup and notice this Jong Bond noodle soup, so I ask the waiter to describe to me what is in it. He told me it has shrimp, pork, chicken with egg noodle and comes in a spicy hot chicken broth. I have been missing my favorite Vietnamese Beef rice noodle soup(Pho) for a long time, because I live quite far from the Atlanta metro now. I order the soup, you should too if you like good soup that satisfied your hunger, taste buds and soul. the soup came out in a large (Xe Lua) size for those that are familiar with Pho, it was piping hot(is good) i hate lukewarm soup. It was topped with three New Zealand green-lipped mussels, I was surprised in a very good way as the waiter did not mention it before. I dig in with my chopstick and discover a couple more mussels and plenty of jumbo size shrimp, scallops chicken and pork, all were cooked to perfection. This soup is now my go to soup when in Gainesville/Oakwood area, it perfectly satisfied my craving for Pho without the long drive. A few tips: when eating this ask waiter for extra napkins as you will sweat and it will clear your sinus the waiter were very accommodating and gave excellent service. After I finished and paying my bill at the front counter the host told me this soup is usually share by two people, what can I say, I love this soup, and I have never share a bowl of Pho with another at the table they get their own bowl. KUDOS to the Chef at Golden Buddha, Oakwood, Ga.

Food was fair at best. Tried for a third time and it was not a charm. Some of the worst Fried rice I ever had. The beef ribs were mostly grizzle and the Chicken Chow Mien was dreadful. Will not give it another try!!!

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.
