Our first time here. It was a bit confusing at first, because we weren't sure if we should order at the counter or just sit down, but the guy behind the counter was super helpful and told us what we need to do. So we sat because we were dining in. I can't review their coffee because I didn't have any. Hubby said that their coffee was coffee. Not over the top but doable. He got the corned beef hash. Sooooo much better than Goldbergs. Goldbergs stuff is mashed. But there was a lot of it. So come hungry if you're getting that. I had a bowl of fruit and a whole wheat everything bagel with cream cheese. They give you A LOT of cream cheese. Make sure to bring cash. They don't take cards.

So good I tempted to become a Jewish convert. Excellent homemade bagels and cream cheese. Fresh Lox. great deli selection, and I like the fact that large orders can be placed for pick-up at a later date. The coffee could be better though.

Excellent bagels, the best veggie cream cheese I have found in Georgia, the nova is fabulous and the staff is friendly. What more could you ask? They also carry Dr. Brown's sodas and traditional Jewish Deli food.

Best bagels in Atlanta!! I got the garlic bagel with veggie cream cheese and it was so good!!! Our waiter was awesome too. My new favorite bagel place!

Best bagels in Atlanta. I tried every single place and there was no contest. Coming from south Florida, I know a good NY bagel. My go to was everything bagel with tuna. But the home fries are so good too. Everyone I brought here loved it too. They only take cash. Don't expect frills, or anything fancy. This place is very basic, and the service isn't always great. Depends who helps you. My boyfriend said it felt like being in an episode of Seinfeld when he was there. But really, you're going for the bagels, who cares about ambiance!

The Pastrami Bagel was amazing. I cannot scream load enough.... This place is a must go! Looks like a Nee York bagel shop and has the sweetest lady behind the counter. Cash only.....

  • John F.

Yum. Hate that it's cash only. BBC is about the only thing I order. The chicken salad is really good.

Great bagels! Nice size - fresh foods. We did take out bagels for breakfast. Friendly service. Definitely found our new bagel shop!

I wish I could give this place 100 stars. They were mobbed when I went there for the first time but the staff was quick to help me find a table. The waitress was amazing, the food was amazing, and the selection even better. Tasted like a true Miami/New York bagel joint! I can't wait to go back!

We made a horrible mistake coming here as a larger party: the tables are first come first serve, but the wait staff are the only ones who can move tables for larger parties, and you have to wait until your whole party is there to sit down, and there is not waiting area. So we were told that we had to wait to be seated (but no one took our names or anything) while other people went around us to sit at the tables wait staff told us we could sit at... When our party showed up. It was just annoying. Either seat everyone with a host or don't! And stop promising tables that you clearly couldn't reserve. Aside from that serious annoyance, the food was pretty good. I got a pizza bagel- it was just warm when it came out, like it had been sitting on a tray waiting for the rest of my table's order. They were out of salt bagels and several other items and that was disappointing because they had only been open for an hour when we arrived. Honestly I would probably eat there again, but next time I'll keep it to 4 people or less. Also, hit up the ATM because they don't take plastic.

Heard everyone bragging about the bagels...went on high holiday week...mountains of challah breads being baked. I now know where to find these loaves of gold. but the bagels?? what a disappointment! !! home fries looked burnt but some were still raw. fantastic staff though! 10 stars for the whole crew. I think we will stick to Goldbergs down the street. sorry guys.

Arguably, the menu features a wide assortment of NY Jewish deli style favorites, from bagels to whitefish, and every inch of my "special" platter was scrumptious. The platter is jammed full of goodies that will keep you satisfied for breakfast and lunch - smoked nova salmon, whitefish salad, potato salad, lettuce, tomato, onion, cream cheese, and pickle! This restaurant has terrific corned beef and other freshly sliced deli sandwiches that I love too. Gets mighty crowded and tightly packed in on weekends at peak breakfast and lunch hours, so you should consider a late breakfast or late lunch here.

  • Ari W.

So I called them this morning to see if they had some round Challah's for the holidays. They did. 10 left. I said great, can you put two aside for me to pick. "No first come first serve!". 8.99/each I called Goldberg's. Asked the same question. "Yes sir". They have 5 left. When I asked them if they could put 2 aside they said "yes sir" and "thank you and we appreciate your business". 5.99/each If Bagelicous actually had an ounce of courtesy and customer service I would have paid 10.99 / each.

This place is awesome! If you want real bagels this is the place . Was packed but worth the wait for a table! Great menu , and was delish! The employees are all so helpful and super nice! Will definitely be back.

Bagelicious is the best thing since Snack n Shop closed. Their fish is so fresh ittastes like it was just flown in. Bagels are good. Omelettes are good but we usually go for fish and bagels. Generous platters. But oh the fish is so moist and you can't get this here. A million times better than Goldbergs and much less expensive.

First off, you need to know this place doesn't accept credit cards -- cash or check only. Pay at the front when you get your bill. Now that we've covered that, I enjoy this place. It's unpretentious and simple, the staff is generally attentive, and the food is solid. I love bagels -- I get the "everything" bagel with chive cream cheese, usually with a couple eggs. The kugel is also very tasty -- come on, you can't go wrong with a dessert-like meal for dinner! They have a variety of bagel sandwiches that I've tried and are good, too.

  • Jen D.

My first visit and if I'm ever back on that side of town I'll stop again! Very nice people and the everything bagel with chive cream cheese is SO GOOD!!! Cash only , luckily I had cash on me. I wish we had a good place on the south side.

  • Lin K.

I haven't been here in a while. The bagels I picked up were warm, but they were not cooked long enough as the crust wasn't the right texture. I might be looking for a new bagel spot. On the plus side the people behind the counter were VERY friendly.

  • Sherry U.

Lots of food. CASH ONLY. The plates are great. Lots of food with leftover to take home. Had the egg salad plate - included big double scoop of tasty egg salad, boiled egg, side salad - I had coleslaw, lots of Kalamata olives, onion /tomato / lettuce garnish and finally a bagel. A good bargain and quality food.

I've been going to this place for years. Awesome bagels, omlets and French toast. Always try to sit in Marybeth's section if she's working. They are a cash/check only business, so make sure you have cash.

Was excited to try this restaurant as I've heard great things. Out server was kind and helpful and the food was ok. The restaurant was so dirty though. Needs a total remodel. The place was packed with tightly placed tables and no where for people to wait for a table to become available. The walls and floors were dirty and everything was cramped. They only take cash here. Wish they would put some money back into the restaurant and give it a fresh start.

The food is good and the price is right. The coffee is horrible. The service is great. Support this family-owned business!! It's CASH ONLY

There are only two things keeping Bagelicious from being 5 stars in my book. 1. They take cash or check, only. 2. The coffee is 'meh'. If I could give half a star more, I would, for taste, speed, kindness and overall Northern-awesomeness. What I mean by that last part is the fact that there is Yankees and NYC stuff all over the walls, and as a Jersey girl myself, I can feel a bit of home when I walk in. Their bagels are just right, and although they don't carry Taylor ham, it's not a dealbreaka'. Especially when they cheerfully offer me an alternative: Salami, Egg and Cheese, what they call their Bagelicious Breakfast Bagel or BBB. That kosher salami is definitely no Taylor ham but the BBB hath silenced the salty meat beast (that borders on suggestive and inappropriate right there) within me for now. The coffee is fine. I'm sure with a ton of cream and sugar it would be almost great. I use 2 or 3 creamers in my coffee and no sugar.. so though it wasn't superb, I still drank it all. I hear Bagelicious donates the money that they save from not paying CC fees to the community. I am not sure if that is current information, as I can't seem to find confirmation with a quick Google search.. but if that's their game, I'm in!

LOVE this place! Hardly a week goes by that I do not eat here. My family goes every Sunday, and it is so nice to go somewhere and be remembered and have your drinks brought to you when you sit down. We never need menus, because we all have our favorites we get just about every week. Mine is the chicken salad, with a honey wheat bagel and strawberry cream cheese. The egg salad is also amazing. If i am a little more hungry a go for the Passion bagel (turkey, Swiss, tomato and mayo in a bagel), or lox on a bagel (with onion and capers!). For someones first visit, I often recommend the french toast, made with Challah bread. It is AMAZING. I could say that about everything on the menu though. Bagelicious is one of my favorite places to eat in East Cobb. The waitstaff is friendly and personable, and always make eating there fun. i will defiantly be there this Sunday.

Great bagels, always a line but never a long wait.

The fact that it's called Bagelicious really says what it should be all about... delicious bagels... and that they have. I've had few bagels in Georgia that are as good as the bagels here. They are pretty perfect. The cream cheese selection is pretty wide, and super fresh (the veggie cream cheese always tastes like the veggies were chopped just minutes ago). I can't recommend anything else here in good faith, because everything else here is pretty mediocre. I've tried the french toast (kind of soggy), I've tried the pastrami omelet (weirdest omelet I've ever had in my life... it was more like a folded-over egg wrap with some pastrami in the middle), I've had eggs here (nothing out of the ordinary).... but would you really come to a place called "Bagelicious" and intend to eat something other than a bagel? Probably not. If that was your plan, you might want to re-prioritize your life a little. The lox is PHENOMENAL. If lox is your bag, you really have to try it. It makes me all giddy. Make sure you have cash! They don't take much else. I'm always a little disappointed that I have to carry cash to come here, but the bagels and cream cheese are of such good quality that I don't cry about it for too long. All in all, a solid performer in East Cobb. Love having good breakfast options right near work!

Great bagels and schmears. The pumpernickel with whitefish and a side of potato salad is my fave. Good matzo ball soup. Betcha can't help but buy a desert on your way out! FYI--Cash or check only.

Awesome place. Like an New York Mom&Pop breakfast place. Great bagels and food. Seems much more enjoyable experience than one of the chain bagel shops near-by.

It pains me to give them 3 stars, when their bagels and shmear are very good for Georgia bagels. I state that as I moved down here from NY/NJ Metro area 2 years ago, so I'm a bit biased. Actually, it's the only place I'll go for bagels Overall, the service is always good, although it can be hectic at times, but they have someone filling up coffee and water throughout your meal, which placates most on a Saturday or Sunday morning. My complaint is the older woman at the cash register who I believe to be the owner. She has to realize this is a customer service business. A smile would be nice, or how about Thank you for dining with us...something!!! She might even want to engage the kids as they are at the register, as they might ask their parents to buy them an extra "black and white" cookie. I'm surprised the staff is so nice with her at the helm. It's unfortunate because after a very good breakfast, your last experience is her, which is far from warm and fuzzy. If I had a better alternative, I would go elsewhere. Great Bagel, very good table service staff, and awful personality at the cash register. I will amend my post to include her name next time. BTW- How can a business get away with Cash only??? ohhh I know, the same way they thrive with an unhappy, miserable owner.

Fine bagels but they don't take debit or credit cards. This is a real inconvenience which is why I gave them 3 stars.

  • Chris W.

The bagels are real. If you know what I mean, then you get it and you should try this place. Everything is centered around the bagel here...sandwiches, pizzas, etc... And they have salt bagels, for those of you who are still alive to enjoy them. I'd recommend the brisket sandwich if you're a big meat eater. Probably the best I've had. The only complaints: It's not over the top service and sometimes very matter-of-fact. A few times I wondered if the staff were being rude, but I think that's just how the place is. The place also feels like a school classroom or cafeteria...very plain and bare bones. Minor stuff though. Overall, you should give this place a try for breakfast or lunch. It's been around forever and has still thrived with an Einsteins next door and a Goldbergs down the street, so they have a loyal following. One last thing: I went in one morning forgetting they don't take credit cards. I had no cash, but they still let me take my food and told me to just come back later to pay them back. That's pretty classy and you'd only find that at an independent neighborhood shop like this, which are the places I really love to support. Go support them, too.

First time visitor yesterday after going running and heading to an errand in this direction. It was not what I expected, mainly because of the table service. But for atmosphere and authenticity, Bagelicious earns a good review. I would dock a bit for the diner-type coffee. The positives are the friendly crew and the decor. Even though I'm not a Yankee fan, the theme supported the authentic vibe. My bagels were good, and they have some other specialty items (beverages, mustards, deli meats) that seem great to try. I have my favorite bagel places that I go to after running, and Bagelicious is a little out of my territory, so I probably won't be coming back here soon or often, but they made a good pitch on this visit.

  • Johnny M.

I agree with the reviewer below. The bagels are absolutely fantastic, as is every food item in this store, but the older woman at the register is absolutely miserable. She huffed and puffed during my order, and I even saw her roll her eyes at me. I will still go back, but I will be calling the store to complain about her attitude. Its called customer service, lady. You might wanna learn HOW to talk to people. Also, I cannot give another star since they do not accept anything but cash, Ok, folks, this is 2014 and like most people, I do not carry cash. raise your prices a few cents to cover the CC fees - people will still come, but having to go to the ATM is a real hassle.

  • Andy L.

Simply put...they guys rock! Best NY bagel going...in metro Atlanta....I have had a bagel breakfast with them for several times a week for years now. The everything bagel toasted with cream cheese on both sides in a bag to go! They do offer a full menu and my kids love the place...great place for a family breakfast and the prices can't be beat for what you get. Service is always warm, friendly and fast. They don't take credit cards...but who cares....just bring cash!

  • E K.

One of the two best bagels in Atlanta (BB's is slightly better) and it's 5 miles from home so it's our go-to bagel shop. The pastrami (hot) on a toasted Everything bagel was delish. The smoked whitefish is also outstanding. I've had the whitefish spread as well as the chunked variety. You might find bagels that are as good elsewhere in the country but not any better. It's well worth the inconvenience of not being able to use your debit or credit card. Located in a large shopping center so parking is no problem. Service friendly, atmosphere very casual, bathrooms clean and modern. Owner is a little league baseball coach - there are banners from all of his teams on the wall as well as a shrine to the NY Yankees (evidently he grew up in NYC).

  • Dave B.

A winner! Great bagels and great food all around. Moved my business here when on many repeated trips found Einsteins (across the parking lot) out of everything bagels. (I mean really! How can you call yourself a bagel shop and run out of everything all the time?) Nice people and honest kosher food.

    (4)
  • Tiffany S.

Best bagels I've ever had. Of course I haven't had NY bagels, but for the south, you can't go wrong. Their everything bagel with cream cheese is the best ever.

  • Leslie B.

Amazing bagels, egg salad, etc. Best in Atlanta.

  • Nancy L.

I love this place! I come here just about every day for breakfast. I love their bagels! Their Everything bagel is the best! I have tried the other flavors but live the everything the best of all of them. There is always a collection of regulars haunting the place when I get there at 7:15am. The Cobb police frequent the place to eat as well, so you know its good. Even though they only take cash, I will still come here, even if it means driving next door to the ATM to wrestle out some dough so I can have my breakfast!

  • Sarah N.

Am I the only person who finds it completely obnoxious and snotty when businesses think it's ok not to accept credit or debit cards? Catch up to the rest of the world! Raise your prices the little 3 or 4 percent to make up for your fees if that's what you have to do. Customers would end up paying more than that in fees for a last minute stop at the ATM anyway. When I saw the sign stating cash only, I turned around, walked right back out, and went to Einstein Brothers instead. It's in the very same parking lot, I enjoyed it immensely, and they took my credit card. I won't try to go back here just on principle.

Good bagel joint. Good food. Good service. Went for lunch with party of 8. Our server, Dan took great care of us. Matzo ball soup was delicious. Tuna salad good - not overdone w/mayo. Love their chop liver. Lox was lean and not veiny. With eight of us I got to try lots. I'd pass on the slaw though, too too much mayo.

I am from NJ so I know a good bagel. I am in Georgia to visit the in-laws and this is there regular place. Hands down these are the best bagels I have had in the South. Their omlettes and salads are good too. Keep up the good work and see you again soon.

Haven't found a better bagel yet... and this includes living in a few cities after evacuating Marietta. Just had one this morning on my way out the door to the airport after spending Thanksgiving in the area... still as good as I remember. The bagel texture is perfect. I can't speak to anything else, as I was hooked on the bagels from my first order. Bagelicious, I miss you.

  • Asteridae A.

My favorite bagel place. The chive cream cheese is the bomb. Even on Sunday mornings when there's a line out the door, you'll still get friendly, quick service and delicious, fresh food.

I could have bought better blueberry bagels at Panera I was definitely disappointed closing my eyes and biting into the bagel I could have sworn it was a plain one.the potato latkes with sour cream were indeed pretty good!! This place is a true deli.. from pastrami to bagel sandwiches and even a tongue sandwich ( I'll pass on that) Probably wont be returning..even though this place was packed... not sure what people see in it...

    (2)
  • David P.

Good deli in Atlanta! Great tuna and matzoh ball soup. Their bagel sandwiches are also solid. My favorites are the Passion Bagel and Munchee Bagel. You gotta appreciate true deli to appreciate this place. If you like Panera, don't bother coming here! Although Bagelicious is a bit out of the way for me, I prefer it over the more convenient Goldberg's.

  • Carrie B.

Wow, considering this is about the best NYC bagel shop (or at least one of the few) that Atlanta has to offer I can't believe that there are only 2 reviews and more importantly that it's taken me so long to Yelp it! We found Bagelicious when we moved to Atlanta from Miami (a place that really knows bagels) over 15 years ago. There were a few more Bagelicious locations at that time and the one remaining (the original I believe) is a bit far from Downtown, but near my sister and brother-in-laws place so not completely inconvenient. But I digress...I LOVE BAGELICIOUS! I love their bagels, I love their chopped liver (I'm convinced it's the best in the city), whitefish, nova, cream cheese, rugalach, slaw, dr. browns diet cherry soda (ok, I can get that at Publix, but the fact that they have it), etc, etc, etc. The portions can be pretty big, as are their bagels, but if you like NYC delis, this is your place!

    (5)
  • Michelle M.

When it comes to bagels, Bagelicious is the standard bearer even comparing it to other places, including NYC and FL. I can't discuss the rest of the menu cause I'm so addicted to the everything bagel (untoasted when fresh) with veggie cream cheese, though my bagelmates are equally addicted to their favorite variety. It amazes me that Bagelicious doesn't get the recognition it deserves in the bagel wars. I'd love to know if anyplace sells their bagels as driving the 10 miles, while well worth it when I get there makes my visits a bit less frequent and my freezer a bit fuller. (And get over the cash policy, just come prepared. It's not that hard to use real $.)

    (5)
  • Alex P.

    Better than Goldberg's, I think.

  • Keith T.

They open at 6:00 am, but the Jalapeno bagels were not out of the oven until just after 7:00 am on a Sunday morning, when I arrived. Really nice hot, soft bagels. $3.82 (including tax) for 4 bagels. One customer getting custom service for selecting his deli items at that early hour, and one other customer came in for bagels. Really nice when the place is quiet. I prefer the bagels here, instead of the national franchise bagel place across the mall parking lot.

    (4)
  • T s.

Best bagels south of the Mason-Dixon Line. Yes, the coffee is mediocre. Yes, they are occasionally rude at the checkout. But on the whole, the food is solid and consistent deli breakfast fare. Unique and not a chain which is an added bonus.
