Disappointed dining experience. Service was poor and brought my food out incorrectly twice. The worst part is the fact that the owner was upset that he messed up the order and afterward did not check on the food quality. The pita bread tasted like it was microwaved and was soggy and cold. Pretty much the only good thing was the falafels, which unfortunately were microscopic and only gave me two. Theres better options for med. Cuisine around this area, Olive has lost my business.

Stopped in for lunch on a whim and thoroughly enjoyed the lunch special. Great deal for under $10. I'm a big Mediterranean food fan and always make it a point to try the falafels at the different restaurants around town. Their falafels are fantastic as was everything else. Looking forward to coming back!

Good was excellent! I brought a customer here for lunch and we both thoroughly enjoyed the food!

Amazing food & service! We tried the restaurant out one night and had a delicious family dinner. Everyone was so kind, the food came out fast, the portions were generous and the prices were very reasonable. We even catered from them for a small engagement party of 20 people we were hosting. We ordered enough food for 30 people and there were no leftovers! Emad & his daughter were very helpful and caring and the food was delicious!

The cashier was very nice, however my good experience ended there. The food was absolutely terrible. I ordered a gyro, which is the staple for anybody walking into a Mediterranean restaurant. The pita bread was tough, the gyro meat tasted terrible and the sauce tasted like a cheap mass manufactured concoction. I knew beforehand that the "authentic" experience that they tote would probably be a stretch, but this was completely like the out of the box gyro meal you get from Aldi's.

The food was good, the service was fast, & oh did I say the food was good! I bought the Gyro and the sampler plate and I can't pronounce everything on that plate but it was good. The salad that came with it was so fresh. The portion sizes are great and the location is nice. Being a new restaurant sometimes things start off good and once they build a customer base it goes to crap. I hope that doesn't happen this time. I definitely recommend. (Review based on 1 visit)

So I've never had Mediterranean food before... I'VE BEEN MISSING OUT!!! I decided to try Olive, when they first open, it is also the first time I tried Mediterranean food. I immediately fell in love with lamb meat especially the way this place flavored it. At this point, I have tried almost everything they have on the menu and i have not been disappointed at all. The first item I tried on their menu is the gyro sandwich. It's got nicely flavored beef and lamb meet inside of a wrap and includes their "secret" sauce and lettuce and tomato. I LOVE THE POTATOES that comes with it!!!how do they season everything so good!!!!? The next item I tried was the lunch combo. The lunch combo is to neck to neck of my favorite from the gyro! The lunch combo is loaded with a salad, rice, and TONS OF MEAT! They include two slices of steak, three slices of ground steak, and a mountain of lamb slices! I think you cannot get such an amount of great flavoring food for just $8.50 (oh and you get a drink with that for that price food believe it or not!). Honestly, just the salad and the two slices of steak is worth the money let alone they include all the other meats! I have also tried the GRILLED SHRIMP sandwich and that is also completely different than any other grilled shrimp you've ever tried. Finally, I have also tried the lamb shank platter, which means you get almost HALF OF A LAMB onto your plate lol. The way they marinate and flavor the lamb here, you just can't taste the lamb smell but you can taste the "lamb" flavor if that makes sense which is definitely the way to do it! All in all, you have got to try this new place even if you've never had Mediterranean food before, take it from this picky Asian guy lol. I almost forgot about the customer service! But how can I forget! Everyone here is super duper pleasant! When you walk in, you are immediately greeted and the menus are obvious and on your right. Then the line starts to form and I just think the way they got it set up is definitely organized and easy to order. The servers and the managers there are always smiling and pleasant. They are constantly checking up on you and their service is consistent every time I have been there! (P.s. I would take a picture of my food and post it but I have already eaten it lmao!)

I wanted to try this new restaurant for a while now. The service was great, they had my kaftha wrap ready in10 minutes to go. The Wrapp tasted amazing the beef was fresh and had great flavor and the spicy sauce was really good too. I will definitely come here again.

Having just moved to the area I was looking for a substitute for my Mediterranean tastes and found it here. The food especially the Grouper is consistently good. The menu is medium sized but each item is full great authentic flavored

If you like Mediterranean, and you live in Gwinnett, this is a no-brainer to try. There are only a few in the area, and this one is one of the best. It's not 'fast food' style, it's fast-casual and the quality of the ingredients is top-notch.

Loved the food. I had kids chicken rice and hummus with Greek salad and it was the perfect portion. Very clean, open kitchen, fresh food... Can't ask for more

We went here on a Friday for lunch. Thanks to ScoutMob, we got 50% off our order. Wife had the Schwarma and I had the lamb shank. Portions were good size. The schwarma only comes in chicken and was a little dry for my liking. My lamb shank was awesome. The salad that comes with the meal was top notched. The rice was great. All in all a great meal with good, authentic, Middle Eastern tastes. We'll will be back to give it a second try!

Food 3 stars: service 3 stars: Ambience 3 stars: Price setting: 2 stars. Food 3 stars: I ordered shish-kebob wrap and salad combo. First off, it's supposed to be a dinner portion, but it's "way too super small" potion (both sandwich and salad) for the price I'm paying for. It's served on a nice ceramic plate, but the plate itself is super small too. It was literally the size of dessert plate, not a dinner plate. Absolutely not worth paying $8 for something I even can't get full with. The shish-kebob was tender, but bland side. I could taste salt, but there was no distinctive Mediterranean nor middle eastern flavor to it. Bland. Salad was fresh, but ridiculously small, cramped in right next to the sandwich on a plate size of dessert plate. When I asked how much the extra rice would be, they said $3. You gotta be kidding. Ambience 3 stars: They supposed to have Wi-Fi, but it's locked. You may have to walk all the way up to the front and ask for the code, which is a pain. The restaurant is a cafeteria style, and you order at the front, and they bring you the food to your table. Then they should drop the price setting. They didn't have what I could enjoy. And food is way too expensive for what it is and the portion. I won't come back.

I've tried lots of better Mediterranean options and was a bit disappointed here. The chicken shwarma was overcooked and a little tough. The hummus was decent. The greek salad was decent. The food was just average overall. They have a patio outside. The service is nothing special, not even a friendly smile. Definitely overpriced at $11 for the area. Wouldn't come back.

So far, the best Mediterranean place I've tried...The food always tastes great and the same as my first visit. The service is phenomenal.Ever time I go the place is so clean and welcoming whether they are extremely busy or not. The welcoming smile from each one of the staff make you feel so good that you don't want to go anywhere else. The price is unbelievably reasonable.I tried so many places and so far no one beats THE OLIVE MEDITERRANEAN.I encourage every one to try it.

I have been looking for a good lunch place in the area for quite a while. Tired of panda and chipotle so I decided to try this new place Olive... Great Mediterranean food. I had the combo plate that was stacked with shawerma, chicken and kabob with rice and salad. I couldn't finish my plate but didn't want to stop eating. The food was delicious and the restaurant was super clean. We were served quickly and enjoyed it very much. I would recommend this place for lunch or dinner to anyone in the area. Enjoy.

Have been for lunch and dinner. Ordered: -lunch combo plate -shish tawook platter -greek potatoes - tasty fried squares of potato -hummus Platters come with delicious rice, greek salad, and meat! Huge portions. Large, clean space. Plenty of parking. Located in plaza behind Chipotle, shared lot, close to Hibachi place and Gold's Gym.

Went back to try the lamb shank platter because I saw a guy rave about it on their FB. OMG it was sooo good. I think it's my new favorite platter. The mixed plate platter was my go to plate butttt I found something better. The meat literally falls off the bone. Can't wait until next time! BF ordered the mixed plate platter and loved it. The baba ganouj was amazing as always. I need to learn how to make it. It seems simple enough right?

  • FarmerBob F.

HANDS DOWN the BEST meal I have EVER had. The lamb, by simply touching it to my lips, melted into my mouth. The salad had HUGE chunks of feta, tomatoes, cucumbers, pine nuts? olives and even golden raisins. The baba ganoush was better than what I make at home and was cool and creamy, although, not nearly as creamy as the hummus, which was as smooth as whipped cream. The owner came to our table and brought 2 different kinds of baklava, one wasmade with pistachios, I thought I had died. None of us could finish our meals, thre was just so much. We will be going back (and back). It really was that good.

Great place for authentic Middle Eastern food in large portions. The basmati rice is properly prepared. The Lunch Combo is a steal at $8.50. The gyro meat is moist (dripping moist). The dinner menu is also very reasonable and filling. I did not have any problem with the chicken's moistness in the Shawarma platter--exactly as I like it. And, the tzatziki was not a surprise--because it was very good and fresh as it should be anywhere. Definitely worth a try for the locals, especially for the Lunch Special.

Everything on the Olive menu is recommended for a great meal. First of all, the staff is very courteous and helpful with menu questions, so when in doubt, just ask! I've had most of the pits sandwiches, the falafel and shawarma are my favorite. Each comes with a side and I prefer the potatoes, plenty of seasoned potato bits, but there are other side choices. If you want to try a variety of meats, the mixed platter is a great option, comes with salad and then you could choose two side dishes like potatoes and hummus to compliment the meal. The hummus comes with plenty of pita and each salad, and most dishes, are accompanied by olives, true to their name. I really enjoy this restaurant and in the short time it's been open, I've gone several times and have recommended my friends to do so. Try Olive and be surprised at how they separate themselves from other Mediterranean restaurants.

I've been here only once and I can't wait to come back. The service, food, and prices were all great. This is good quality food at a good price. I got the gyro plate and I tried my friends dishes as well and liked everything. I'd like to come back next time hungrier and try different entrees.

Stopped by one Sunday for an early dinner. I had the fried cod. The fish itself was very good. The rice had a very strong citrus taste to it. It was a little much for my liking. I will give it another try when I am on that side of town.

If it was possible to leave no stars I would. Check my reviews I'm not a negative diner but this was simply bad. Not to exaggerate but this was the worst Greek I've ever had. Burnt falafel, cold and stiff rice, horrible Greek salad with iceberg lettuce and over ripped olives, the pita taste like cornbread, the qyro was like cardboard. This was a horrible experience.

  • Ticha K.

This was one of the worst food experienced I have ever had, the olives tasted horrid the pita was like corn bread and the gyro was old and greasy.

My fiance and I decided to try this place because of the positive reviews on here. We were thoroughly disappointed. Our food was really not good and just got worse the more we ate. I also felt it was a tad overpriced; my meal was $10 and the plate was very small. We will not eat here again.

This restaurant is definitely a place of quality. Their food is delicious and employees are very friendly and accommodating. The wait time is only a little longer than most but the results are of the highest quality. A big thumbs up to this restaurant. I will definitely return.

Terrible service. Unorganized. People were just standing around confused. We werent greeted at the door and had no idea where to go order. One guy wanted to pay and the lady working there behind the counter stopped in the middle of someone's order and took his cash. One guy came put of the back and was texting, meanwhile the girl up front had a line. We just walked out. Pathetic excuse of a restaurant.

New restaurant in the area - give it a try! Food is fresh, good size portions. Had the vegetarian platter - very filling - could not eat it all - you could split it and have enough for 2 people. The lamb shank platter is very popular and delicious! Owners very friendly - brought us a dessert on the house! Prices very reasonable! Service very good! Hope they are successful - so many "mom and pop" restaurant's in this area don't. Give it a try!

The food just sucks ,everything is bland ,overcooked ,and just dry ,and the fact that pisses me off is that everything in the menu except gyro is halal that is just disappointing makes me think that nothing halal over there , never going back there ever again

  • Mike N.

Food is very good! I've had it twice; once for takeout and once for delivery. While I enjoyed it both times, I must say that the $25 minimum is a little excessive for delivery. As a result, I won't be ordering again. At least until the minimum is reduced to something reasonable like approximately $15. Especially given that your delivery area is very limited. In any event, I do recommend giving this place a try!
