Great little place hidden away in the corner of a shopping center. I love the Pad Thai. When we went for dinner we were the only ones in the restaurant, so we got quick service. Not sure how another night would fair when/if they got busy!

Excellent Thai food all around. Service could be better but I think they kinda got a surprise rush when I was there 4pm ish. Very friendly though.

Had my birthday lunch here with my cuz.The food and service was very good. decor was very nice. there was a group of people a couple tables over that were very loud and drinking wine, one woman kept dropping the f-bomb thru our whole meal, then one of the waitresses proceeded to tell her life story very loudly to the fbomb table, on and on she went!! the number one rule in customer service is... dont talk about yourself and your personel life! the whole experience was not a pleasant one!!!!

We ate here recently and were mildly disappointed with the food. Everything else shined - the ambience, the service, the location. I'm not a novice to Thai food and I've had Pad Thai many times. This was the blandest Thai food I've ever eaten! It had no seasoning in it whatsoever and I had to ask for sauce of any kind just to make it through the meal. My husband's meal was also very tasteless. He had Mango Chicken with white rice. If you want great Thai food, drive a few more miles to Thai Diner in Buford. They know how to cook everything to perfection!

Daughter's been looking for Thai fried rice that she loves for months now (since we moved to GA). She's been disappointed at every turn, until we stopped in here to "Eat at Thai." The restaurant itself is nothing special - small, well-maintained, simply decorated. I was disappointed when my daughter and I, sitting quietly in a nice corner & happily chatting away (again, quietly), were interrupted by a family of four with 2 children under 5 years of age who were loud & rambunctious. The father was no help - he was talking - loudly - into his cell phone speaker. Rude, inconsiderate, and annoying. I understand understand we were the only 2 families in the restaurant, but they should have been seated elsewhere, away from us. We weren't being noisy, so why would we want screaming children near us? Anyway, we had the Tom Kha soup (coconut, lemongrass, green onion, mushroom, and chicken), spring rolls (nothing spectacular, but nice and crispy), green (chicken) curry (delicious, ordered medium heat & got it), and thai fried rice. And just in case she was disappointed in the rice, daughter also ordered basil chicken. I wasn't thrilled with the huge chunks of broccoli in my curry. I love veggies, and would have loved the broccoli if it were cut smaller so they were bite-size instead of me having to dig in with a knife to cut them up. The food itself was delicious, though. Daughter loved her Thai fried rice (chicken, egg, veggie mix), and said the flavor is much better than most other places (it's not supposed to be saucy, it's just supposed to have a very light flavor to it), and she loved the texture of the chicken and the veggies. The basil chicken, which we taste-tested, is SCRUMPTIOUS. If I weren't always craving curry chicken, I would have eaten the basil chicken instead. The price wasn't too bad - $41 for 3 entrees and 2 appetizers (1 bowl of soup, which we shared, and 2 spring rolls, also shared), 1 soda, and 1 Thai Iced tea. Overall, a good experience. We'll likely eat here again.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Gainesville. I love their Tom Kha and Massaman. The only reason I've given it four stars instead of five is that the portion sizes have gotten smaller recently. Theo pad Thai is delicious as well! Also try their deep fried tofu appetizer. My toddler son eats this and eats the dipping sauce with a spoon!

I have loved this place since I came on opening day. Mom is the master in the kitchen and dad is right beside her. The daughter works the dining room. Never have they disappointed. Nam Sod is my favorite app spicy and sour yum. The soups top of the food chain. Everyone talks about this place it was my turn to post about it finally. If you know me then you know this place is legit. It all about the food and the food is amazing. Kudos to mom and dad in the kitchen.

Great little spot!! The service wasn't great but there was also only 1 girl doing everything. The food was amazing and I can't wait to go back! Huge fan of their coconut soup but really hated the basil wrap (only because there was a lot of basil... duh!!) and did not like the fried bananas! But everything else was just amazing!!

Not so good... We ordered two dishes (Spicy Basil curry w/ shrimp & the Sea special) and a calamari appetizer for pick up. My husband consulted the online menu, not realizing he needed to click on "Dinner" menu, so we thought we were getting a decent meal for around $24 bucks. When I got there to pick up the meal, it cost over $35 bucks. I wasn't pleased. On a side note, the place was nearly empty and the hostess wasn't very friendly. So after the sticker shock, we thought, well the food is going to be amazing. Not so much. The calamari was practically tasteless and was dry and rubbery. It came with this super sweet chili sauce and it wasn't good. The other dishes were good and spicy, but the quantity should have been double for that price. Even though my family loves Thai food, we won't be back to Eat at Thai. It was disappointing.

We ordered the coconut soup hot pot and calamari (I didn't eat but the calamari lovers enjoyed), basil with chicken and I got yellow curry with chicken. The chicken usually ends up a little over done and is better with shrimp but otherwise a delicious meal! The Thai tea is DELICIOUS!

I love that this place is ugly, in a strip center, and completely unaware that customer service is important... BUT the reason they can get away with this is their food! So amazing. Hole in the wall win!!!

Although some of the dishes are quite tasty, the service here is quite disgraceful. We have eaten there twice and on each occasion, getting stated with our order is tedious and time consuming, and getting refills is exhausting. It doesn't matter how good their food is if you can't get decent service. Will never go there again.

The wife and I finally stopped in and tried this restaurant. Their food was pretty good, not the best Thai I've ever had, but good. The one thing that irked was the roast duck dish that I ordered was not fresh. You could tell that the duck was frozen.

OK, as a devout afficianado of Thai food ... this place had a lot to live up to ... and it certainly did. Satay chicken starter with peanut sauce and cucumber salad ... yum. Tom Kha soup (coconut milk base, much better than the ubiquitous Tom Yum soup) excellent flavor and packed with shrimp and mushrooms. Red Curry with shrimp as my main dish ... seasoned to "Hot" ... wonderful and sinus clearing ... definately endorphine releasing ... warm feeling of contentment after the spice "click". Pad Thai with shrimp was also a solid offering, as was the Noodle soup with chicken and cilantro. Will definately be back.

What a great surprise tucked away in the corner of a strip mall. Completely unexpected! What's funny is everyone LOVES this place. I work at a hospitals and from MD to nurses to patients, everyone who has ever been is amazed. Authentic Thai food with very fresh ingredients. Notch typical Thai/Chinese/American crap we get in most restaurants. Service is touch and go. There is minimal staff so if it gets busy you are out if luck. But the food is worth it. And they do a big take-out business as well. Try the crispy catfish, basil noodle, and the soft-shell crab appetizer!
