We stopped to get some breakfast and missed it by 20 mins. We ended up getting homemade pineapple pudding instead and by far it was the best testing pineapple pudding I've ever tasted!!! I can't say much about the other stuff but you gotta try this pudding. The place is homy and the food inexpensive and the people seemed nice.

Nestled back on a side road behind the front line of chain outlets at the fast growing and madly busy Commerce US 441 exit on I-85, the Commerce Country Cafe is the popular local haunt where both the accents and roast beef gravy are thick. The restaurant offers an Oriental-style buffet (no surprise, as i have it on good authority that the owner comes from more than a few miles east of Commerce) and a simple menu with burgers and other simple items. Most if not all the customers chose from the buffet. Think meat and three: start with pork, chicken, roast beef, catfish filets, or a tempting but positively cardiologically evil-looking chicken fried steak in white gravy. Move on down the line, and surround that choice with greens (excellent), fried okra, green beans, mashed potatoes, the excellent creamed corn, among others. The banana pudding and blueberry cobber desserts were delicious and recommended. There's an unlimited supply of sweet (or unsweet) tea. The pork had a distinctly Asian character, more seasoned but still light, and definitely not bbq. The prices are reasonable. We fed a party of three (well, 2.5, as one was a six year old) for less than $30.

Dont over look this place just because its located at a truck stop! I stop there almost every morning for biscuit religiously! If my grandmother wasn't asian, lived in the south ,and was a country gal. I would think this is how her biscuits would taste! There staff is wonderful, always nice and genuinely friendly and give you that real southern hospitality. As far as lunch, on a daily they always cook up a variety of flavored wings and pizza. And through out the week they also serve up different things depending on the way of the week, mostly comfort food ofcourse, meatloaf , bbq ribs baked chicken and fried catfish with is amazing. If your passing through the area on a weekday i would definitely stop by and grab a bite rather then eating at any of those fast food joints. You'll be way more satisfied and pay about the same amount for a combo at mcdonalds or what i like to call them mcdumpster .

Been visiting the CCC ever since a work buddy clued me in to its existence. Cafeteria-style meat-and-two place hidden from the main drag by about 400 feet of good paved road. Nothing fancy about the place; they -have- recently paved some more parking spaces. Current price for standard lunch is $5.55, drink (and dessert, if you like) are extra. Other reviews have it pretty much covered - worth a visit if you're looking for something other than the multitude of chain restaurants just a quarter-mile down the road.

Much better then any national franchise place. I got the special 2eggs sausage & biscuit & coffee for $5.50 with tax. Set up like a lunchroom, where you go an order, then pay and self seat. Very good food and fast service. Worth a try for any traveler. Almost everyone was locals, I could tell by the denim overalls .......

Nothing fancy, good country cooking, meat and two ( or three), cafeteria style. Everything taste fresh made. Had the pot roast, squash casserole, fried okra, cornbread and of course sweet tea. All very good and friendly people too.

This is the only place to go for biscuits in the mornings. Prices are very fair. Service is great. Best burgers in the area for lunch. You will have to wait on the burgers because they are made fresh, but are always worth it. Not open for supper.

This is a great alternative to the myriad number of "chain" restaurant that dominate the Commerce outlet shopping area ... it's southern cooking but one has to wonder how much on the steam table is canned or frozen. Sure, it's pretty good for the price and even has southern style 'chow-chow' on the condiment table but I am suspect to the authenticity of some of the "southern dishes". That said, I saw some great looking hamburgers coming out of the kitchen after I had finished my lunch. Thats what I am getting if I ever get back here.

Now THIS is country cookin'! (I would add "like my Grandma used to make," except my Grandma was a Polish immigrant whose idea of "country cooking" was pierogis and borscht.) Set up cafeteria style with about as much charm as a trailer, Commerce Country Cafe is THE place for a real Southern meal. Homemade and and breaded chicken tenders (at least 7 of them on my plate), a generous portion of delicious fried okra, a HUGE scoop of macaroni and cheese, and a biscuit the size of my face only set me back $4.99 plus tax. And all the "meat and twos" are that cheap. They day I was there chicken tenders were the popular choice, but the turkey and dressing and meatloaf also got rave reviews, and there were at least eight different meats to chose from and twice as many sides. For the price, Commerce Country Cafe just can't be beat. Though I guess I'm still out of luck looking for food like my grandma used to make...

My favorite all around for breakfast! Talk about a homemade biscuit.......they are the biggest and tastiest biscuits you will ever find. Many choices of meats to put on your biscuit; bacon, sausage, tenderloin, chicken, and even red links. Eggs are cooked to perfection. Wonderful tators and gravy too. For lunch the burger cannot be beat. You can have it with slaw or pretty much any way you like. Great fries. It is cafeteria style but the line moves quickly and even though the parking lot may be packed full at times, there is always a place to sit. The value also cannot be beat! I can't even drive by the Commerce Cafe without my mouth watering. :)
