I try something new every time I come here. I have never been disappointed! The local artwork on the walls is amazing!!

Anytime I'm visiting Carrollton, Corner Cafe is a must. The atmosphere is relaxed and there's plenty of funky decor. The artichoke dip is always tasty and they have a plethora of unique salads and sandwiches to chose from. I almost always get The Rosemary, but I've tried different menu items and they've all been great.

Had a quick lunch here while in town shopping and got a very pleasant surprise. Downtown Carrollton has quite a few cute and trendy restaurants and the Corner Cafe definitely fits right in. The location is terrific, right in the heart of the old-timey downtown, with a few tables right on the front sidewalk outside. The food is lunchy with lots of great sandwiches, many with cute names like "Rosemary's baby momma" or "Pita Frampton." The sandwiches are not typical deli type, but a little more fancy with interesting alternatives to regular cheese and mayo. I had a turkey sandwich with greens and strawberry vinaigrette and it was delicious. All sandwiches come with a pickle but no sides. They also serve beer including some great microbrews. The wait staff is completely friendly and attentive even when busy. If you're in town, this is a great spot to enjoy a very yummy lunch.

AMAZING place, I miss it since I've been gone from college :( Highly recommend Rosemary Baby's Daddy and the spinach dip.

Was in Carrollton for work, and went here with some coworkers. Awesome place! Very eclectic interior. I ordered half of a deluxe pot roast sandwich with sausage and lentil soup. Both very very good. Would definitely go back. Not a great beer selection. Was hoping for some local beers, at the very least Sweetwater. That could really amp up this place. Also-the service was fairly slow. For me, though, the price and the food quality more than made up for it.

Really good food, terrible/slow service... One waiter working with many tables wasn't really efficient.

I can't say anything that hasn't been said already here, but I will echo a few things. Great food, great people. You HAVE TO HAVE THE SPINACH ARTICHOKE DIP. When I say I haven't had better anywhere in the country, it is not an exaggeration. Try this too - get the jellyfish sandwich (it's chicken, not a globby sea creature sandwich) and put the spin dip on that! Get there early though at lunch as they get really crowded and good food takes a few minutes to prepare. Oh, and great coffees too!

Always delicious with good vibes all around. My favorite sandwich is 'Rosemary's Baby's Daddy' :)

Amazing food and unique atmosphere. The spinach dip with bagel chips are a must. If you are a vegetarian they have a wide selection to choose from.

Fun, different, unique atmosphere. Excellent quality sandwiches with an innovative menu. Our server was top notch and very attentive. Had the spinach artichoke dip and the Rosemary's Baby's Daddy sandwich and both were great. Daughters had the tomato sandwich, the cheese pizza slice and the pot roast sandwich. All got thumbs up!

The Corner Cafe is easily one of the best places to eat in Carrollton. It's almost always busy and because of this, it can take awhile for you to get your food but when you do, it's delicious. Despite the slow times, the service is consistently good and it really does look like the servers don't mind being there. In addition to the good food, I greatly enjoy the laid-back relaxed atmosphere and the fact that it is a beer-serving cafe makes it even better. I highly recommend the deluxe pot roast, rosemary's baby daddy, the jellyfish sandwich, and the willow. You HAVE to get the spinach and artichoke dip with bagels - too good to pass up!

Came for the first time after moving to Carrolton. Good service. Good food. Friendly atmosphere. A little loud for a quiet conversation but will definitely be back.

Part of the experience is the Carrollton City square. We sat outside though the inside looked wonderfully eclectic. I had the ultimate pot roast sandwich. Very tasty. The manager served us and was helpful and friendly. Prep time seemed a little long for a sandwich but the price was right for a unique delicious sandwich.

I have yet to try something at the Corner Cafe that I didn't like. The food is good and the service is great. The place is typically crowded but worth the wait. Don't hesitate to try the spinach and artichoke dip, I promise it is worth the extra $5.99. My personal favorite sandwiches are the turkey deluxe and Rosemary's baby daddy.

A great literal hole in the wall restaurant with great sandwiches, pizza, and calzones. I love their soups as well though you never know what they'll have. They are a cheap good eat and a must do for anyone staying in Carrollton for any extended time. Also, you are CRAZY if you choose to skip the spinach and artichoke dip appetizer.

This is my all time favorite sandwich shop, their "Rosemary's Baby's Daddy" chicken sandwich has the best flavor, it's so good I'm not brave enough to stray. Although my friends and family have ventured out & have gushed about their meals too. The spinach artichoke dip with bagel toast is the best, my 2 year old made his lunch out of it & totally ignored his sandwich bc it's that good.

I love the Corner - I have been coming here for a long time now and it's my "must visit" when I'm in town. I get the same thing now every time - spinach dip with bagels and a sweet tea. They also have great sandwiches, pizza, and more. They have some gluten free options as well and lots of parking in the back.

The food and service here is great. Nice atmosphere here. I ate the Texas pot roast and there was not one bad thing to say about it. My friends brought us here, and they eat here a lot and now I see why.

This place never disappoints. Try the spinach artichoke dip for an app. My two fav sandwiches are the Rosemary's Baby's Daddy & the Pita Frampton. Great service & fresh fun food.

Best Salad Ever *Zorba The Greek: Romaine, Feta Cheese, Cucumbers, Tomatoes, Black Olives, Onions & Pepperoncini, Served With Focaccia Bread...the waitresses are so friendly and helpful.

When it comes to local food in Carrollton, this is always towards the top of my list. While you may feel a little awkward on your first visit in this very "hippy" place, the good always has you craving to come back. The spinach-artichoke dip is amazing, and my favorite sandwich, the Corner Club, is by far one of my favorite restaurant foods.

The food here is superb. However, the service can be a little on the slow side sometimes. Hence I'm not giving them the full 5 stars. Yet, if you can look pass that, the food is well worth it. The spinach artichoke dip is a must. I really love their vegetarian sandwiches, and their carnivore sandwiches are great too, especially the gargoyle (they have interesting names for their sandwiches). If you have time to wait; they make the best calzones (they take about 30 minutes to cook).

This cafe was on par!! The woman serving us managed to make our entire volleyball team of 18 people very happy customers. They were accurate, fast, and the food was amazing. Great portion sizes; one sandwich was enough to hold us over for the next match of our tournament! Thank you to all the people of the Corner Cafe for not just feeding our large group but for giving us a great experience of Carrollton!!

Absolute favorite place in Carrollton to eat. The spinach artichoke dip is legendary and everything on the menu including the vegetarian stuff is delicious. Atmosphere is family friendly, eclectic. Menu favs: Rosemary baby daddy, Texas jellyfish, pita frampton, and the mr. Willow.

This place hasn't changed since I went to college here in 1999, as was evident during a recent visit while visiting my mother. They still had my favorite sandwich: Cucumber sandwich on focaccia (add avocado), and the decor is exactly the same except for the local section. I think the same sign about only "current" employees being allowed in the kitchen is still there too - LOL. For a small town like Carrollton, this place is an absolute jewel. I HATED to see all of the development/strip malls/fast food joints that have invaded the town since I left. Those places will become eyesores just like Douglasville in 10 years, but places like Corner Cafe will endeavor. oO -

I would actually like to be nice and give a 3/5, but The Corner Cafe doesn't do it for me. The food is so-so. If you eat bread and like sandwiches, you may like CC. However, the service wasn't all that great, and I have to agree with Dwayne's review on the clean part.

We were looking for a good place to eat in Carrollton while here on a business trip, and saw that this place had high reviews so thought we'd give it a try. It was 8:30 when we called and they said they closed at 9, but that we should come on out. We were there till 9:20 eating and it was all cool. The people were nice and friendly and the setting was a unique eclectic cafe environment. The food was reasonably priced with interesting and unique food combinations. We had the spinach dip with homemade bagel chips (thin toasted bagel slices with butter) for an appetizer, and then the deluxe pot roast (flat toasted panini-type sandwich with cream cheese, onions, pot roast, monterey jack, avocado, tomato, olives, sprouts, and vinaigrette), and gargoyle sandwiches (pot roast, mushrooms & onions, gorgonzola cheese, baby greens and vinaigrette in a pita). Everything was very tasty and were glad that the food was healthy-minded. The pot roast is homemade and slow roasted in Guiness beer and spices - very good! Try them out - you won't be disappointed.

I think that our server was new. We had a pretty good sized party of perhaps 6 or 7. Several missed drinks and no soups later we all had our sandwiches, etc. The quality of food was about par for something that would slide into the "fast food, pizzas' category. Don't go expecting some gastronomical delight or extremely attentive staff. Take a deep breath and now that you are going to wait for a fatty roast beef sandwich.

Great food that is fresh and consistent. The atmosphere is definitely dated but epic just the same. I'd like for it to "feel" cleaner, but it has good numbers from the inspector. I especially recommend the bagel chips and spinach artichoke dip for an appetizer. I also like the sandwich Rosemary's Baby Daddy!

The Corner Cafe is our favorite local restaurant. It is very laid back, and the food is great! We always start with Spinach and Artichoke Dip served with bagel chips. The pizza is great, but so are the salads and sandwiches. The Zorba the Greek is my favorite salad, and the homemade balsamic vinegar vinegarette dressing is awesome!

Enjoyed this place while visiting UWG w my son. Had the Rosemary's Baby sandwich. Very good!! Great fresh bread.

  • Bo L.

Great sandwiches most of the time. Hip, laid back attitude to the entire place. The guacamole is terrible, it is some sort of avocado powder, sour cream blended mess. The service is usually pretty good if you are dinning there. The take-out service is an entire different story, I have called in take out orders and been told it would be a thirty minute wait, only to arrive there in thirty minutes and continue to wain an additional thirty minutes to get my food. It has happened five times that I can remember, I have never been offered a discount, or even a drink while I waited. I called them one time regarding the extra wait time for a to-go order and asked for the manager, the lady answering the phone didn't really seem to know who was the manager, it seems to me like a "Lord of the Flies" type of place, no real management. Avoid take out from there, but definitely go and eat inside to enjoy a great tasting, good priced sandwich.

What a creative menu! Corner Cafe puts together stuff that sounds totally impossible and makes a very tasty surprise out of it. Sandwiches with names like "Baby Rosemary's Daddy" and "Texas Jellyfish" will leave you wanting more except the portions are so big you'll be comfortably full. My only gripes (and the reason this isn't five stars) are due the very slow service (plan to spend 90 minutes at lunch) and servers with very little personality. Nevertheless the food is worth the wait and, after 14 years in Carrollton, Corner Cafe is somewhat of a "Had to say I ate there" kind of place.

My partner went to college in Carrollton and she likes to go back every so often. Plus one of her best friends still lives there so we go out there to see her too. We ALWAYS go to Corner. I've been going here for almost 8 years and I think the food is great. The spinach artichoke dip is AWESOME. They serve it with homemade bagel chips that are perfectly buttery and toasted. I've never had a bad sandwich. Every sandwich I've ever had has been great. The sandwiches are not your ordinary sandwiches. They are pretty inventive with the combinations of things they put on them. They also have a lot of them (maybe all of them) on homemade bread. They have a HUGE vegetarian selection. I've never seen more vegetarian options except maybe in a vegetarian only restaurant. Sometimes we will make the trek from Atlanta just to eat here and wander around. If you're ever in the neighborhood, you should definitely try it.

one of my favorite lunch destinations in Carrollton. Very eclectic decor and nice and friendly servers. Don't come expecting a classic turkey club... but thats what I enjoy most about the corner. Most everything is on a delicious foccacia bread, and they have some very interesting combinations in between the slices. Make sure you get there spinach artichoke dip with bagel chips, and there pizza is good too.

I first went to the Corner Cafe on an awkward first date. I kept the restaurant, but ditched the guy. The interior is a hodge podge of vibrant art on the walls, from two large murals to various paintings by local artists, to hand colored pictures from kids. One of the things that strikes me about the Corner is that it is the only place I've seen students and university faculty and staff eating side by side at tables. The menu has an extensive selection of quirkily named sandwiches for the carnivore and vegetarian, along with a smaller selection of appetizers, salads, pizzas (by the slice or pie), and calzones. When you come here, order the "Spin Art" which is the spinach artichoke dip served with bagel slices, not chips. If you're a vegetarian and a fan of avacado, try the Mugwump sandwich. If you're not an avacado eater, try Mr. Green Jeans. For the past two years I've been eating either Rosemary's Baby's Daddy, or the Chipolte Chicken sandwich, while my friend swears by the Turkey in the Straw. Just two weeks ago I discovered their calzones, and I can't stop eating them. This is the best calzone in Carrollton, I don't care what the Mellow Mushroom or Camancho's says. It's all about the bread and the cheese, and they do both right.

When I lived in Carrollton going to college I tried to eat here as much as I could afford. Sometimes I still wished I lived close enough to just drop in for lunch on a random day. The sandwiches are fantastic, I usually always ate the Corner Tuna or Rosemarys Baby, and of course the bagel/spinach dip appetizer. The spinach dip was always my most favorite part of the meal, my boyfriend and I would usually keep an eye on one another to make sure we didn't hog it all from the other. Overall I can't say enough good things about this place, if you get the chance, GO!

Carrollton was an interesting place to go to college. At the time, it was a dry county, but that is the case no longer. My aboslute favorite place to eat in college was The Corner Cafe. It's on the quaint little downtown square, which has been redeveloped into cool live/work lofts and small little boutiques and restaurants. The Corner serves enormous thin crust pizzas with a slightly spicy sauce for an unexpected kick and has a wide variety of salads. But you come to The Corner for one of their amazing sandwiches on homemade foccacia bread. They have an extensive vegetarian menu-- larger than any I've run across in Atlanta, but being the meat lover that I am, I always got the slow cooked pot roast with cream cheese (my dad loved visiting and getting the Texas version with salsa) or the smoked turkey. The bread is just out of this world good. I always thought I should try to get them to make me a plain grilled cheese on that delicious bread, but never did. If you're ever out on the Alabama/GA border or on your way to Birmingham or Talledega, you must exit off at Carrollton and try The Corner.

I LOVE The Corner. The bagel chips with dip are mind blowing. The veggie burger is amazing. The soups are always great. Service is excellent. The mismatched dishes make me smile. It says a lot about the owners that so many employees have been there for years. I'll be back next time I'm in C'ton.

This place is awesome. The plates have big portions and are always delicious. Always freshest ingredients and I love the bread they use for their sandwiches. The staff is "earthy" and "mellow", and exceptionally friendly. The atmosphere is so-so, kind of needs updating, but the food and staff make up for it. Very laid back. And it's nice to find a sandwich shop that serves beer.

This place is great! The Mugwump sandwich was fantastic. The service can be a little slow, but the food is worth the wait.

Great food and great prices. Laid back atmosphere is cool too. The Corner Club is amazing and you need to see a doctor if you leave hungry.

prices creeping up. not the value it once was. tasty food, although lots of it is sourced from cans (not good for your health). all food, I hear, is conventional, which means your chicken sandwich originates from one of "those" chicken factories. can be very loud during peak dining hours.

I am a vegetarian and this place has the absolute BEST vegetarian options. The tomato sandwich is my most favorite dish! It definitely has a hippy vibe and is just an overall fun, pleasant, and delicious experience.

Don't let the decor fool you. One of Carrollton's most consistent and eclectic restaurants. Try the Jellyfish or the Deluxe Pot-roast sandwich!
