Love the cheese pizza! I don't know what they do differently to it than other places, but I just want the cheese pizza, extra cheese please! Salads are decent too, I always like a half one to go with my pizza. It's pricier than delivery, but the taste is so much better. I do wish they would deliver to me though. Trivia on Tuesday was fun too!

"Let's skip out on the wiki facts and focus on the food. I'm trying to find out what to order on the Yelp app before the server gets back." [Time & Date of visit]: Weekend afternoons [Party Size]: 2 [Location/Ambiance]: Located in the midst of the fork of both busy roads of Johnson Ferry Rd and Ashford Dunwoody Rd. Good thing, both streets have entrances and exits. Bad thing. The lots for those entrances do not connect to one another. *face palm. Parking always seems available, but that could be a bad thing as I never see them packed. The far ends of the restaurants have booths, followed by the middle bar and other tables to the left. Ambiance is more like a mom and pop pizza joint. [Service]: Fast casual. Order at the counter and self seating. Then the food is brought out to you. Water refills are via a fountain machine. For being the only customers, they still took a while to get one pizza and a hot sandwich out. So a bit slow. [Food Highlights]: The Upper Crust - 10" size - Well... being spoiled through out the years by Fellini's and Slice (portion and toppings wise) then Antico (thin crust with lots of flavor) I stack most other pizza joints and places directly comparing to the former, depending on how the pizza is made. I feel that Corner Pizza fits into neither. Honestly it's a decent pizza, but it reminds me of when Pizza Hut used to be really good. The pan crust. The toppings. Pretty much spot on in my opinion of Pizza Hut's golden age. So-So. Subs - Roast Beef - The horseradish has a bit of kick to it, I would order it on the side next time. The thinly sliced roast beef was good but leaning towards slightly dry. It's pretty good toasted as well which could be the reason. Pretty good for area, but not better than Baldino's I feel. {Summary}: I think service wise they are a bit slow, but maybe they are just making everything fresh per order. The empty parking lot can be misleading as I've mainly seen people just place to go orders. Pizza snobs would avoid I feel, but if you live at the nearby apartments, town homes, or condo's it's a better option than papa johns. 3 stars overall.

Been too long since I'd gone to this casual little spot. Seems I am on a pizza kick in the Brookhaven area... Still a fan of the cheese/extra cheese; a slice of mushroom to go was tasty heated up (oven at 425, 7ish minutes - no microwaving allowed, right?). Their mushrooms are raw but I found that eating the piece later meant they tasted like they had been sautéed. Re crust- noticed in my last review I said it was a little thin, but this time I would say it's Fellini's-esque, just a little thinner - quite good. Their BLT rocks. Please get the half - because it is the size of a (pretty large) whole. My dad had to confirm with Chris that he did get the half he ordered. Lots of bacon on this baby, which is always a good thing. Slices are $2.50 (cheese) weekdays from 11-2. Overall prices are reasonable, for all pizza and sandwiches, etc - and for toppings they have the ones that are more *specialty* printed in bold so you know which ones cost more. Probably a 3.5* overall, but the casual vibe and solid menu - plus proximity to home! - have me rounding up. Good spot.

Hell no never again! We ordered 12 wings and the Titanic salad. Hubby specifically asked if the wings were "saucy" and the guy said "yes." Imagine our surprise when we get home and find that the wings have virtually no sauce on them. The Titanic salad is a wedge salad (and the lettuce was actually a little slimy around the center like it had been sitting around for a little bit). The wings were not cooked to order (we requested well done and they def were not) and were all around below average-like Pizza Hut quality. A waste of my Sunday meal. Next time I want wings I will stick with Wing Ranch as they don't disappoint. One more thing- the guy who took our order was not the most pleasant human being, almost like he could have cared less for the business. We won't be back!!!

Corner Pizza is a good neighborhood pizza joint. It's not someplace I'd go out of my way for, but if I lived close by, I would probably eat there regularly. It's a pretty classic, old school pizzaria - you order at the counter (at lunch - not sure about dinner) and take a seat. Stark interior. Overall, I like their crust - it has a near perfect crunch, but it could use a little more flavor. And their tomato sauce is solid - nice fresh flavor. We had: 1. The Upper Crust - easily the best of the 3 pizzas I tried. I would definitely get this again. I'd go 4 stars if this was the only pizza I had. 2. The Cheasiest - Not as much flavor as I expected from this mix of cheeses. Could have used more Jalapenos and more sauce. Pretty good pizza overall, though. 3. The White - Meh. Not bad, but wouldn't order again.

The pizza is pretty good but not my favorite from around the area. Parking is limited but there seemed to be plenty of seating.

Corner Pizza is your typical pizza place. It's a little bland inside but that's ok, I'm not here to criticize decor. It's a pizza joint, and it looks like a pizza joint. The staff is great and your food is prepared right in front of you. The sandwiches are excellent, but I wasn't overly impressed by the pizza I've had. Otherwise, I would have given 4 stars. But since this is a pizza place... Anyway, I'm more than happy to return, as the overall experience was good. And the sign out front is always interesting, where they advertise "specials" and nightly events like trivia. Usually followed by some sort of quote with comedic value, indicating the sign changer has a sense of humor. Half-price bottles of wine was the most recent special I noticed. Followed by "Free box with every pizza." Another one was "If you're not satisfied with your pizza please return it and we'll be happy to eat it for you." You get the idea.

I live just a couple of miles away from this place but had never heard of it until I checked my trusty Scoutmob app. We were planning on going down to Woody's for some cheese steaks, but I said hey, let's give this place a try. The wife, kids, and I walk in and the guy behind the bar just kind of stared at us. I asked, "Do we just sit anywhere or do you direct us?" He said to sit anywhere, but to come back to the bar when we were ready to order. It looked like he was the only one working that day, so this wasn't an issue. We had a seat and started to look over the menu. We decided on a couple of things and I went up to place my order. I told him what I wanted, he started to ring it up, and I said, "Hey, I'd like to use Scoutmob for this order." He said that they weren't accepting Scoutmob discounts anymore. I asked why not and he said because it was supposed to be canceled, but for some reason was still showing up. I asked if he was still willing to honor since it is showing up and that was actually the reason we came. He said no and asked if I wanted to pay full price or not. I said not and we gathered our things and went to Woody's! Hey, maybe the pizza is delicious, but I won't find out because I won't be going back. I use Scoutmob all the time to find a hidden gem and then I go back at full price if I like it. Unfortunately, he must have seen it as an inconvenience...

I've had sooo much better. 1. Tony (I think that was his name) sucked as a server. He was more interested in the soccer game than taking my order or ensuring that my husband's drink glass wasn't empty. Tony was busy rubbing elbows with a guy who clearly comes there a lot and apparently owns another restaurant nearby. 2. My order was wrong. After inquiring after a long wait, I was told they messed up my pizza. Ummmm, want to come politely tell me that you're going to have to make my pizza over again and apologize for the wait?! I shouldn't have to inquire to learn about a mistake. 3. The wings? Wow! Hot was more like very mild and the sauce was absent. I saw the cook grab a handful and put them in this big machine (that I assume was a fryer) but after getting them, I'm more sure than ever that it was a steamer. The wings were not crunchy or fried. They were more like steamed mild wings, sauceless. We took them home for the dog and apologized when we gave it to him bc we really do love him more than that but we didn't want to throw the wings away. 4. The crust feels confusing -- it's not thin crust nor thick crust -- nor is it soft...it's just crunchy crust, bread -- again -- noting to write home about or nothing to return for. The sign says something about home of the $10 beer jug or something. Maybe If I were a drinker I'd get the hype. Right now, I think I'd go to mellow mushroom. Just not worth the wait or price. Tony -- you never know who you're serving. Treat all green money equal!

Update - Chris from the business had contacted me a few months ago to credit my payment of the pizza, so I responded back and just took two small pizzas . These two small pizzas were much better and for the business to right a wrong is big for me! I'll go back again .

I had some good pizza from Corner Pizza. This pizza joint is located in a nondescript building at the intersection of Johnson Ferry and Ashford Dunwoody roads. It's a casual eatery with TVs and the deck oven on display behind the bar. Tuesday nights, they have trivia. Menu is fairly simple. Pizzas come in three sizes (small 10-inch, medium 14-inch, and large 16-inch) and range in price from $7.25 to $13.50 with toppings at $1.25 to $2.25 per. At lunch (11am-3pm), you can order by the slice, but the slices are reheated so they won't be fresh from the oven. There are almost 30 toppings to choose from. Seven pre-made "specialty" pizzas are also available that cost anywhere from $10-23 depending on size and type. Outside of pizza, there are typical pizza joint offerings such as salads, subs, and apps/sides such as fries and wings. I've tried a couple pizzas so far (dinner only): The Margherita - olive oil, buffalo mozzarella, basil, sliced tomatoes The Veggie - mushrooms, onions, peppers, olives, tomatoes, garlic, jalapenos, extra cheese 14-inch Margherita was $19 and 14-inch Veggie was $19.50. I'm not a big fan of the Neapolitan-style Margherita, but I thought Corner's version was decent. Crust tasted great, though it was not baked brown and crispy like other Margherita's I've had around town (Antico, Double Zero, Ecco). It was rather pale. The Veggie was more like a typical "American" pizza. Good crust - nice and chewy - and it seemed to be baked longer than the Margherita (crust was more golden brown). The Veggie was loaded with toppings, unlike the simple Margherita, and slices were easily foldable. Toppings for both pizzas were fresh and flavorful and proportion of ingredients seemed right. For their garlic bread side ($3.95), it looked like they cut a pre-existing loaf of bread (with some garlic seasoning on top) and added a small side of marinara sauce. Nothing special, but it suffices.

I have worked in the area for the past 3.5 years and rode by this place refusing to stop for multiple reason. Well last night I called in a order and went to pick it up. The place was packed and that was my first sign that I was gonna be happy. Guest were playing trivia while enjoying their bites. I paid about $10 for a hot turkey sub with french fries. The bread was a perfect chew and the fries I might have hurt somebody over. So pleasantly surprised by what I have found. My husband is a pizza head so can't wait to go back and indulge in that with him.

"Without question, the greatest invention in the history of mankind is beer. Oh, I grant you that the wheel was also a fine invention, but the wheel does not go nearly as well with pizza." Dave Barry Good pizza with a super thin crust served up in a casual, "hole in the wall" eatery. Saddle up to the bar, $2 PBRs and $2.25 slices make for a great lunch. Salads are a deal at $2.75. This place just adds up. Make a good, thin crust pie. +Have a limited menu of salads, subs, apps and do them right. +Have a good selection of beer and wine. +Price everything fairly. +Location, location, location. ___________________________ = Success. $2 Beer + $2 pizza slice ___________________________ = Yay! I'm a fan!

I've had their pizza twice, and both times it was ok at best. I thought maybe the first time was a fluke, so I gave them a second chance. Since Corner Pizza is so close to my house, I wanted it to be good, but the pizza quality just isn't there. Nothing in particular stood out, I think just mediocre quality ingredients all around.

Corner Pizza is actually walking distance from my house, which makes it quite convenient.I have been here several times and I'm always happy with the experience. It is a local pizza joint catering to mostly folks from Brookhaven. I am a sucker for trivia night, which is offered every Tuesday. My favorite pizzas are the Upper Crust and the Veggie. For those with a small appetite they offer pizza by the slice as well.

Everything is fantastic but this pastry chef's bread coupled with his creativity makes the best darned sandwiches in town! Try the Cruben and you have to have the fries!

This was a late lunch. Two slices of pizza, with some toppings, plus a coke for $8.50. One slice had anchovies (about 4), and the other slice had sundried tomatoes and arugala. I half expected (no, make that 3/4 expected) that they's throw some cheese on with the extras, but no. The water/brine was dripping off the anchovie slice, causing the crust to get soggy. I suppose the best thing I could say is that during lunch (11-3) you can buy pizza by the slice. And, it was a thin, NY style pizza. Other that that: I'll pass by and go elsewhere when I'm in the area and wanting pizza.

I finally stopped in here after working right down the street for 6 years and am glad I did! The pizza was very good, with a crisp-on-the-outside-soft-on-the-inside texture that is usually pretty hard to find. Plenty of cheese and toppings, though I wasn't a fan of the pepperoni they used - not much flavor to it. They also had quite a few beers on tap (with a lot outside of the typical bud light/miller light offerings). Service was great, the kitchen is open to the restaurant and all of the employees were joking around as they worked. Very personable group and seemed to have good rapport with the locals sitting at the bar.

Having lived in NYC & NJ FOR 10+ years I became a pizza snob. So, when I moved back to GA I began researching pizza through the reviews of Yelp and many other sites. Trying many, liking several but not loving any. That is until I discovered Corner Pizza. The biggest shock of all is that it is only 10 minutes drive from my home :) To make this prefect pizza; It takes them 3 days to make & proof the dough for the crust, it a little bit chewy & slightly salty, with a wonderful crunch. I adore the one named The Upper Crust, with it thinly sliced ingredients & spicy pablano peppers making every bite a perfect mouthful of pizza bliss! I have taken all of my NYC & NJ friends and while we all agree it isn't NYC pizza, it is more Artesian, we all agree it is some of the best Pizza we have ever eaten anywhere! They don't delivery, but is so good we still eat it at least 1-2 times a week! One friend of mine drives 40 mins 3+ x's a month to pick it up. If you love good pizza do yourself a favor & eat here!

Medium buffalo wings were perfect spice level and cooked to a nice crisp on the outside. They had enough sauce, but I would've liked a little more (I like mine extra saucy). Overall they were good, and I would definitely order them again. We also got the white pizza. The Roma tomatoes and sun-dried tomatoes both tasted weird, so I had to pick them off. Also, there were huge pieces of garlic that I had to remove. I wish I would've just ordered a cheese pizza. The crust was perfection--not too thick or thin. Next time I'll stick with plain cheese or pepperoni. It definitely wasn't the best I've ever had, but the location is very convenient if you're staying in some of the nearby perimeter hotels. It definitely beats any chain restaurant pizza.

I've been coming into Corner Pizza for the last couple of years and always enjoy the fun conversation with the team there. What I like about the place is that it's casual and not pretentious. You can choose to sit at a table or mozy up to the bar and chat with the other locals. And Tuesday's Trivia is great as well. As for the food...I really enjoy their salads, and often get a slice of pizza at lunch...very quick. But their subs, french fries, wings, etc. are always great too. Oh, and LOVE the BLT's. The bread is awesome. Good selections of draft beer too. Haven't done this in a while, but there is a patio area and I've brought my dogs along with me from time to time. They also have free Wi-fi! Simple and easy to use.

The food is okay but a bit pricey. 15 bucks for a 12 piece wings and order of fries with no drink. Lol. Don't get me wrong the foods not awful but it's nothing to rave over either is just average. There was a mayonnaise dip with the french fries now that was awful! lol .

If my review was solely based on the food I would give 5 stars but after 3 lunchtime visits I have to give 3 stars due to poor service and what appears to be a bad attitude from guys working there. It is completely acceptable to smile, say "may I help you" and even say "thank you" every once in awhile. I have seen them bring pizza over to a table and dash out of there before the customer can request napkins, silverware, or ask for parm cheese. I will continue to go here since the pizza is yummy but beware of some bad attitude.

This place is no frills good homemade crust and sauce and nice beer selection. The owner is a former pastry chef so the crust is his own recipe. Also appreciate the fresh salads in the menu, and the wings are solid too. If you are looking for a quick good bite to eat this is it!

We live right around the corner from Corner Pizza. The pizzas are always fresh and consistently good. My favorite is "The Cheesiest" -- it's super cheesy with a nice kick from the jalapenos. The prices are reasonable. The service is decent. It's always been clean while we are there. My only complaint is that they close way too early. Seriously, who closes at 9 pm?!

It was Date Night with Kevin P. in our hometown of Sandy Springs. We've lived in the area for about two years and passed this place numerous times. Tonight was the night to give it a shot. We hopped in our old run-around Miata, threw the top down, and cruised down Johnson Ferry to Corner Pizza. This joint would have been closer 5 stars if there was a larger patio. We really wanted to sit outside but the few tables they have for dining al fresco were already commandeered. So we headed inside to place our order. The menu selection is what you'd expect for the usual fare so we ordered our staple: a medium pizza with pepperoni, mushrooms, and green peppers. It's our basic pie and done right it's the mark of a great pizza place. Since we were starving we added an order of fresh garlic bread. Two pints of Fat Tire (I love any place that has this brew on tap) made Lauren P. a very happy date. I don't think I talked much because I was too busy stuffing my face. I could have eaten the savory marinara sauce served with the garlic bread using a spoon. Instead I slathered each piece, dunking it deep in sauce...y'all no joke -- if you go, get this garlic bread. I'm drooling now. The service at Corner Pizza was great too. We had our food in less than 15 minutes. During our meal, one of the al fresco diners came in complaining about a bee that wouldn't leave his wife alone. "I've got flying insect killer in my truck," was the reply from the boss man Corner Pizza. "Really?" "Sure - just let me get the keys. It's in the bed. Help yourself." Now that's Southern hospitality. Any proprietor who will toss a guests his keys so he doesn't have to walk away from his kitchen on a busy Friday night to kill some annoying bees, allowing all of his guests to continue to enjoy their dining experience, gets an A in my book. Guess it was a good thing we didn't sit outside after all. We'll be back to Corner Pizza for a repeat Date Night.

We have been to this place several times and recently noticed they over charge based on the menu prices. We have asked for a receipt have been told the register was broke and couldn't print. The restaurant is also rather dirty inside and along the lines of dive bar that serves, at best, mediocre food. Unless you like being over charged for your food and having to deal with a staff who is not polite and doesn't try to fix the problem even when they are called out on the issue - head over to Galla's pizza just a 3 minute drive away. Not that it is much nicer inside, but at least they give you a receipt and don't make up the prices each time you go.

Corner Pizza is on the corner of Ashford Dunwoody Rd and Johnson Ferry Rd. So the name seems appropriate. Like the other reviewers have mentioned, the owner of Corner Pizza was a baker. He never made a pizza before, and he decided to open a pizza place anyway. It sounded like he knew a recipe for a good crust. So he decided to make it. Well, I think that's true. The crust seems like the strongest element in Corner Pizza. The crust was delicious. It was slightly sweet. It was also thin, had a good crunch, and great chew. The crust was also browned nicely. It wasn't charred since they only used an electric oven, but it cooked the crust nicely. Looking at other people's pies, the crust even seemed blistered nicely too. I was quite impressed. The toppings were good. Since the crust was the strongest element, all of the pies tasted great. Corner Pizza has some interesting specialty pizza. They have one called the "Brookhaven Betty." It's cold salmon, capers, and arugula on top of goat cheese. They warned me 1000 times that it's going to be cold, except for the crust. I guess most people don't like the idea of a cold pizza. I thought it would be cool so I tried it, and I liked it. With the good crust at Corner Pizza, topped with goat cheese and salmon, it tasted good to me. I can see how some people won't like it though. We also tried The Upper Crust and The White Pizza. Both were delicious as well. I liked the bacon in The Upper Crust. The White Pizza had some heat to it on some of the slices. I think they added some chili peppers on it. Or my friends sprinkled some crushed peppers on it when I wasn't looking. The staff seems cool and friendly and looks like a good place to go for a decent pie in Atlanta. Sure, it doesn't beat some of the top tier places in Atlanta, but I'm a fan.

To be honest we were trying to go to another pizzeria nearby, but they were closed on Sunday so we gave Corner Pizza a try - and we weren't disappointed! It has a "hole in the wall" feel - very unassuming, neighborhood-joint kind of vibe going on. They have a decent beer selection, awesome salads (or at least the V8 is awesome) and solid pizza. The V8 salad is 8 kinds of fresh vegetables chopped up with a house vinaigrette dressing - it was awesome. None of that iceberg lettuce taking up space! We tried the Cheesiest and Upper Crust pizzas. One of our friends was scared he wouldn't like the Cheesiest because it had bleu cheese, but it wasn't that strong of flavor - so he would have been fine. Both pizzas were really good, with a thin crust and fresh tasting toppings. It was a little greasy/soggy which made me have to fold it in half to pick it up or use a fork and knife - I prefer my pizza to be less greasy and more crispy. But I'd still go back!

We really loved Corner Pizza! It was totally unassuming and we had never noticed it there (they are fairly new...), but absolutely delicious. Started out with the V8 Salad - awesome. The dressing was great and the salad was fresh (who knew lettuce was not needed in a salad?!). Then we tried two different pizzas - the Cheesiest and the Upper Crust. We loved the Cheesiest - very delicious with the multiple types of cheeses. The Upper Crust was also very good - but we actually prefered the Cheesiest slightly more. The crust was fairly crunch on the crust side and a little soggy on the inside. Very good "NY Style" of pizza. We are really looking forward to having another delicious Pizzeria nearby! Definitely check it out soon!

This place used to be good ... It has dropped in quality and service DRAMATICALLY in the last 9 months. The people who work the register have become arrogant and have taken a don't-give-a-shit attitude. Terribly disappointing. Also, they close at 9 (who does that?) and I've seen them turn the lights off on customers while they were eating. Unforgivable.

Went last night for the 1st time for an end of the season soccer party for 6 year olds. First- - its a hole in the wall with a quirky group of regulars around the bar that love to chat -- in a good way. 2nd staff -- great. They took care of our group of 6 year olds with all smiles Pizza - good and my kid ate 6 slices (and yes we all suffered for that later). Beer - -good selection -- even had Sweetwater Motorboat seasonal on tap. Nice! Staff -- back to them. We made a helluva mess of the joint and when I tried to grab a broom and pan to head off the clean up process, I was told with a smile --"No way/ we got it." Great place to take a group of kids for sure for pizza and good pizza for pick up. Just don't call ahead for pick up. It's worth ordering once you arrive, so you can enjoy a good beer while you wait for them to make it.

I had heard good things about this place and have been meaning to try it for awhile. I tried the specialty pizza called "The Cheesiest." It had four or five different types of cheese on it (including, oddly enough, blue cheese sprinkles) plus fresh jalapenos. It was fantastic. This place does pizza in the form of the very thin (paper thin) crust variety. So the pizza here is decidedly different from the pizza served at nearby Galla's. The atmosphere here is very casual and frequented by regulars. There is a bar where one may drink beer while waiting for a pie to go. While I was there a group played poker at one of the nearby tables. Another cool thing I saw was - as per the signage - "Buckets of Champagne for $10." Which turns out is REALLY buckets of Miller High Life; Miller High Life equals Champagne of Beers. I never realized [that is] what they meant by the signage touting champagne! I always wondered [perhaps out loud to myself], "Who drinks champagne on any night other than New Years Eve?" That sign has been there forever and I would have visited a long time ago with my buddies just for that deal alone! Very cool place. I will be back!

Sometimes I want a quick, cheap slice. Corner Pizza gave me much more- a perfect piece of pizza served by a smiling face who really cared if I liked it. This is the best nY style slice in Atlanta. Sweet anise lingers in the sauce, nice crunch in the crust, just enough cheese. I'm not a fan of drippy pizza, so I like a light amount of sauce. I keep thinking of reasons to go to that random intersection to get more. Mmmm... Cheeze!~

Nice little pizza place, love that it's not a chain restaurant. I got the margherita pizza, and it was really good. No individual slices of specialty - you have to get a whole pie. My daughter got a kid-cut cheese slice. She said it was good, but had a bit too much sauce for her. We'll be back.

I was a first timer a few weeks ago as I am newly relocated to Brookhaven. Since then, I have returned three times. The place has character, along with a few characters from the neighborhood (in a good way). Neighborhood gaming, cold beer and fresh pizza made in front of you at the counter. "The Boss" sandwich is the bomb and their bread is freshly made. Super friendly staff makes you feel at home. Family and single-diners will enjoy the relaxed atmosphere. I love it!

I've been in this area many times before but I've overlooked this pizza joint. I was in the mood for pizza so I tried this place with high expectations. FOOD: We had the margherita pizza 14" which is a good size for two ppl. The thin crust pizza was decent when it comes right out of the oven, but as it cools, it gets hard and crunchy. The pizza was full of buffalo mozzarella with little basil and tomatoes. It was cheese overload. It was ok.

I am going to go ahead and say it- "Best Pizza in the Atlanta Area". I am a connoisseur of the Pie and this is the best place I've been for pizza around here, to be sure. As another review said, the V8 Salad is delicious. Plus, it doesn't have any of that pesky lettuce in there, stealing the space of real vegetables. I had the White Pizza here and it was absolute cheese-induced joy. The crust is relatively thin and has a nice coating of olive oil but it's not greasy. You can also get pizza by the slice with the toppings of your choice. My only criticism of this restaurant would have nothing to do with the food but the decor. It's a little stark. The only decorations are framed beer posters, which to the untrained eye, might give the illusion of the bar being more important then the food. If you're listening, Corner Pizza, some real art work or a mural would really give the place the character it deserves.

My hubby and I tried Corner Pizza on a dreary Saturday afternoon. We had been lured in once before by "Buckets of Champagne" for $10, which were, disappointing for me, Miller High Lifes as opposed to actual champagne (but kudos to CP for being clever!). Here's what was great: -- Interesting draft beers (love that Drifter Pale Ale) served in frozen glasses -- Great salads with homemade dressing. We acknowledged we would split ours and it came on separate plates - how nice! -- Reasonably priced apps (antipasto plate for $5.50 where its $9-10 everywhere else in the ATL) -- $2 cheese slice at lunch (wow.) -- Really great pizza acoutrement: shaker cheese, red pepper flakes, oregano, onion, and upon request, hot sauce and pepperocinis -- Great prices! The pizza is relatively thin and not very sauce. Being a girl that loves thick crust and saucy pizza, this means its not for me, which is the result of the 3 star rating (I just prefer Elwood's or Mellow Mushroom). However, my hubby adores Corner Pizza and for that, I know we'll be back. In fact, this rating should be a 3.5, but Yelp doesn't give me a half star so a 3 it will be.

It's been a while since I've reviewed Corner Pizza, so it is time for an update. I come here for lunch on occasion since it is within striking distance of my office, and better than the options on the way (Gallas: terrible - Elwoods: meh). I had a chance to speak to the owner a bit and he has a pastry background and a solid one at that working in some fine spots. I asked him why he didn't open a bakery....serious, good bakeries in Atlanta are few and far between, if at all. So I guess his pastry background would explain the crust, which is probably the best component of the pizza. It is nice and thin, has a good crunch with decent chew until you get to the end crust. The end crust was dry, but to be fair, this is because I ordered slices at lunch and end crust tends to dry out when reheated for slices. Underskirt was browned and firm to the middle which is good. Another positive about the crust is that it is very foldable, and it looks like they stopped the practice of brushing oil onto the end crust. The cheese is Grande but I still think more sauce is needed. I really didn't get a good feel for the flavor of the sauce. Overall, I'd still say this is comparable to a Fellini's but with better crust, a decent place to grab a slice or pie. To be fair though, I do want to do a review based on a fresh pie rather than a reheated slice, because it really is a different animal, especially on the end crust. 3.5 stars until I get a fresh pie review.

The pizza is actually Tasty. But I ordered a large salad and I got a small bowl of lettuce and a few slices of tomato for $7.00. Also they really are cheap on the toppings. A $21.00 specialty pizza and virtually no toppings. Sorry Corner Pizza, don't be cheap with the toppings. I'm eating elsewhere.

I'm happy to have this place close to home. This is the type of eatery that we need in our neighborhoods. No chains. No gimmicky advertising. Just an honest place for regular people to eat, relax and enjoy. The apps are basic. I got a salad and we shared an order of chicken wings. The pizza we chose was simple. Sausage, onions, tomatoes and mushrooms. We were very pleased with this tasty and savory pizza. I liked the sauce, especially. The crust was thin. Crunchy on the bottom and chewy. Standard bottled beer choices. Clean, visible cooking area. Clean floors and bathrooms. Anytime we need to order pizza, either for eat-in or take-out, this is the place. If you want to do the pizza justice, choose to eat it in the restaurant, for the sake of the crust.

It's a good Friday night pizza spot. A bit expensive, but worth it as there aren't many other choices in the area. Ask for the pizza well done.

We learned about this restaurant through Scoutmob & thought we'd give it a try tonight (12.20.13). I was very relieved to see several families dining, as we have a toddler. I showed them our Scoutmob deal when we went to order & they told us it had expired. Clearly, the deal was still showing up on my phone, meaning it hadn't expired, but they refused to accept it & were actually rather rude about it. As we'd just driven through rush hour to get there, we decided to stay & check out the pizza. When the pizza was brought to us, the server told us to move our drinks so he could put the pizza down. When we moved our drinks, he said nothing...No "thank you", no "please enjoy" - nothing. He simply placed our pizza down & walked away in a huff. The pizza was decent; however, I haven't had such poor service in a very long time. We won't be back.

Absolutely enjoy the Brookhaven Betty. Salmon, capers, goat cheese, some olive oil drizzled over it.... ::drool:: I think cream cheese would be great too :D Maybe I should suggest that one day. Hot wings aren't too bad either. I was introduced to this place because a few friends go there for tuesday night trivia.

This place is still amazing to me. Four stars. What? You would be better off buying it from the adjacent publix and eating it frozen than reading here

Made it to the coroner pizza a few days ago. Got a margherita. I thought that these had mostly tomato sauce, with some mozzarella here and there, but their's is more white (mostly cheese with only a little tomato). In any case it was tasty, served by a friendly staff, no complaints whatsoever. If they imported some Italian guys to work in the kitchen, everyone in Atlanta would start saying that it's the greatest thing since sliced wonderbread...

  • Vivian W.

The pizza here is pretty good. The pies are made fresh when you order and it's an open kitchen so you can watch them put your pie together. A bunch of us came here on a Tuesday for trivia night and the place was packed. It was a fun, easy going environment and a good time for all. My only gripe was the tiny parking lot - it's pretty hard to find parking if you get here later in the evening. There are also weekly drink specials and the staff's super friendly. All in all, I'd come back again for sure.

I recently moved to this area and have ordered Corner Pizza take-out multiple times. I'm definitely not fond of pizza in Atlanta overall, but I would say this is one of the better places I've found. The pie is big and thin, which is my preference. The slices are big and you can fold them in half easily. The cheese is excellent, definitely better than chain pizza cheese. There is a sign inside that brags about the type of cheese used, so I'm assuming it is a higher quality cheese. The one thing that holds it back from being 5 stars is the sauce. It has a little bit of a different flavor to it, but I can't exactly tell what it is. Another reviewer said it is too sweet, so that may be the issue. Overall, I picture myself ordering take-out from here often. The restaurant itself is crowded pretty much every night, so I think it has a good following already. They also do poker and trivia contests during the week. Sundays they are not open. UPDATE- They are now open on Sundays. And still packed most nights (especially weekends and Tuesday Trivia nights).

This place has quickly risen to become one of my favorite casual pizzerias. A friend and I decided to try out Corner Pizza several weeks ago due to its Tuesday night trivia. We were pleasant surprised to find this neat little joint had a very tasty line up of capresse salad, sandwiches, and pies with a really terrific, crispy crust. I recommend the Upper Crust which is their meatlovers' pie and the margherita. If you're feeling a bit more adventurous and really like smoked salmon, they have a pie with a more than generous smothering of the stuff on creme fraiche with capers. The staff is really friendly, and the casual environment really makes for a fun filled evening, especially if you're there for team trivia or poker night. The trivia master is witty and quick which is really refreshing from the 2.5 - 3 hour trivias that I've been to around the city. It's a no-nonsense approach to getting some good food and drink while trying your hand at Outspoken Entertainment's trivia.

Corner Pizza consistently delivers a quality, gourmet-caliber pie, and its selection of beers is excellent. Also, it's owned and operated by some local guys from the Dunwoody area, so you can't go wrong with this place.

Wow. Freakin yummy. Hits the spot every time. Seriously. Wow. Geez Louise. My husband wanted me to point out that he does not like pepperoni pizza but he could not get enough of their pepperoni pizza. Up there with New York pizza. The original Ray's even. Seriously.

I give this place 3 stars after only one visit. I will go back and re-examine my review: Personally I dont think this is the best pizza in Atlanta, for me, thats Rosa's downtown by GSU. That being said, this is good pizza. A lot of topping options and big thin(ish) slices. I ate all the crust and loved it. The garlic bread is good and crusty. Tuesday is trivia night and it draws a large crowd so get there early to get a parking spot. Go here over Papa Johns or pizza hut, its better pizza but not worth a super long drive. I do agree with other reviews that this place would be a step up if it had better interior decoration.

Best Damn Pizza in ATL. Yes, its in a corner 'hole-in-the-wall' type of place. If you want an overpriced 'pizza fusion' place with fancy decor, feel free to continue driving South on Ashford Dunwoody Road, bang a right on Peachtree, continue to Buckhead to find overpriced/overhyped joint of your choice. Don't bang this place because of decor/ambiance! This is a SOLID independently owned & operated Pizza establishment. It is a family affair. Chris, the owner, has experience as a FIVE STAR pastry chef so he knows-his-dough and is a zealot on quality. The pizza reflects this. The 'brushing' on the pizza appears to be a touch of clarified butter which is a nice finishing touch. They have awsome sandwiches (made on their own in-house baked french bread) as well as good pizza. They have a decent & NOT overpriced selection of beer and wine. Worth it! A refreshing change from the over-gentrified mega-pizza-chains which seem to be consuming Atlanta.

Pizza was a light NYC crust and cooked perfectly. Friendly staff and Blue Moon! They don't deliver but you can call ahead and great pizza, fresh toppings. Pepperoni and Pineapple, solid, yummy, pizza!

Mediocre pizza at best. The only good think I have to say is the price is good. My first time going when they first open the pizza was wonderful. Each time after that I was less than impressed. One time my crust was soggy :(

I have been to Corner pizza a handful of times now. They have good New York style pizza. Its not as good as Bella's, Rosa's or St Angelo's, but its certainly better than most of the pizza you can find in Atlanta. If you don't want to drive out to the three places I mentioned, which arent terribly close to Corner Pizza, then come here and sample some good 'za. I first found this place because Corner Pizza has a poker game Saturdays at 3pm. I'd give 4 stars but Corner Pizza has a dessert menu and on none of the visits I've been there have they had any actual desserts available except ice cream sandwiches (not on the menu) they must have bought at the adjacent Publix. UPDATE: They fixed their menu, and I ordered a whole pizza (the upper crust) and my wife and I enjoyed it a lot. Now its a 4-star review. :)

Ok.. so this place looks more like a gas station then it does a pizza joint. The decor is non existent, but they do have some good pizza. I've NEVER EVER been blown away by any pizza made by anyone. Some famous italian place in NYC to uber fine dining digs in Vegas. They've been great, but never orgasmic. Corner Pizza did impress me the first go around with a good crust, fresh ingredients, and no B.S. I kinda wish they had more on their menu to justify weekly visits, but I'll take what I can get. It's a toss up to say if this place is better than antico's. Pizza had less flavor sure, but they got the crust just right. Mebbe I'm just not a fan of floppy pizza.

I love the Corner Pizza. The BLT is really good. I usually don't like plain BLT's, but if you want a GREAT one go to the Corner Pizza. All the pizza's are really good as well. The veggie is one of my favorites. If you're in the area and want to go some where good to eat, stop here. You will not regret it. Just remember, order at the register.

This is one solid pizza shop. I have tried numerous pizza shops in Atlanta and although many are pretty good, they really can not hold a candle to Corner Pizza. The dough is made on sight and properly proofed instead of just tossing it out and making pizzas the same day. The toppings are top notch with exceptional sauce and cheese. This guy really knows what he is doing and it truly shows in his product. Let's not forget the subs as either. The bread is baked on site from the same great dough as the pizza crust and is excellent. The sandwich fillings are just as high quality as the pizza toppings. If you like pizza and/or subs, you really owe it to yourself to stop by and give this unassuming place a try!!

There isn't a whole lot to look at as far as decor, and the outside isn't too appealing, but the pizza is super tasty so who cares about all of that! Honestly, we go to Corner Pizza all the time and the pizza is always delicious! It's cooked perfectly and their blend of cheese just melts in your mouth. I also love how they always make the crust a little crispy so you aren't eating soggy pizza. The owners are very nice as well as everyone who works there. The V8 salad, as others have mentioned, is a must! Very laid back atmosphere which is nice when you just want a relaxed night with good pizza.

There's this beautiful mural on all the exterior walls of the Corner Pizza by a local artist! There's tight parking, but you can also park across the street at the restaurant strip or at Walgreens. They have a nice small patio. They've got a beautiful wooden bar. It's simple and elegant; Main focus of decor is the industrial pizza oven! Order at the counter or at your table or booth. Great service, fast, friendly, accommodating! I've been here for reunions with high school friends and other gatherings. Trivia Tuesday is a blast, and the questions are not pushovers! I really like the lox pizza, and all their other pizzas. I've tried their sandwiches, and they knock them out of the park! I can't wait to try the V-8 salad next! And if you ask they might have an extra loaf of delicious french style bread to sell you! Owner Chris knows all about his bread and pizza crust!

I can't believe i've lived so close to Corner Pizza and never eaten here until now. I had the smoked salmon pizza and i can't wait to go back. The crust was delicious and I was excited to learn that they will sell dough balls for $3 each - not much more than the dough at Publix and tastes way better!

Try the V8 salad----8 fresh vegetables, chopped and served with a worthy vinaigrette; it's outstanding (not to mention, healthy.)

This pizza place is within walking distance of my home, but location is not why my family frequents this establishment. We LOVE the pizza. The crust is wonderful, and while another reviewer stated the sauce was too sweet, we think the sauce rocks. The staff is friendly, but even if the staff sucked, we would still buy our pizza there. The sandwiches are also wonderful because of the fresh bread they use. The roast beef is yummy, yummy

i was a regular when they first opened and im craving it... first off all the food is FRESH..and hand made dough you cant go wrong...some serious quality pizza here. and the spinach is like...so fresh its ridiculous...and he brushes olive oil on all the crust so ya..its amazing...and they have beer on tap! recommended 100 fold.

Still the best pizza I've ever had. I don't get by here enough due to my schedule and traffic, but I'd be in three times a week if I could. The food is always consistently great no matter what you get, and they've now added mozz sticks, wings, and fries to the menu as well as housemade hummus, all of which look to be great (the mozz sticks are, I've tried those). There's always a good group of regulars and people are just friendly inside due to the cozy atmosphere, it's not some stuffy big place packed with pretentious people or a chain store that serves a new crowd every day, the patrons here know and love the pizza and come back for more so you'll always see a familiar face. Service is top notch and always timely with a smile and hello, I've never had to ask for anything without it being there for me already and my beer mug never goes empty without a new one set down beside it. The beers are rotated out regularly and there's always several good craft varieties on tap as well as plenty of bottles to choose from too so you're never longing for something different to drink. I just can't say enough how good this place is.

  • Jennie M.

I've only eaten here once-my pizza was a cheese with pineapple and it was quite tasty. I dont think i would say it is the best pizza out there, but I would definitely go back. They only serve individual slices from 11-3 though. The staff was really friendly to me. They also serve alcohol and have a small outdoor deck seating area. Not a lot of tvs, so dont go here if you're hoping to watch some sports. It is also a pretty small restaurant and I would imagine fills up easily.

Pleasantly surprised by this place. I have driven by for years and finally decided to stop in for a pizza. Didn't really know what to expect based on reading the reviews on YELP. I gotta lead by saying I'm a dough guy. Sauce guys are usually into boobs, and well, dough guys are in to asses. 'Nuff said! Corner Pizza makes great dough which leads to great crust, which IMO, sets the stage for the whole damn pizza. Why is this so hard to do? I dunno, but they have it nailed! Thin with a nice persistent (doesn't get soggy) crunch on the outside, and nice, soft and airy inside, and just enough oven singe for seasoning. Hey Mellow Mushroom, this is what your dough USED to be like eons ago back when you made it well, cooked it all the way and actually cut the pies so you could pull a slice off cleanly.... Anyway, the term "NY Style" gets thrown out a bunch as a measuring stick, but this is pretty much what I think of when I think of a nice slice on Kings Hwy - nice and foladable, just the right amount of sauce and cheese, not TOO greasy (although you gotta have some), etc. Well done Corner Pizza! Add on some decent salads, a solid draft beer selection and very friendly staff, and you got a great pizza joint! JM

I have been here a couple of times. The subs and sandwiches are really a knockout. However, there pizza doesn't come close to their namesake. If you want good NY style pizza look elsewhere. If you want a sub come here. I had their BLT sub and it was excitingly good.

Awesome pizza and sandwiches. They really know how to make a good crust and the bread for their sandwiches is perfect, as are the toppings and fillings.

I really wanted to love this place. The inside is nicer than I thought it would be. The crust is great. The service is good. The only thing for me is that the tomato sauce was sweet, and I really don't like a sweet sauce.
