The sushi in this place is Very good along with the filet mignon for dinner on their hibachi menu. The hot bar has calamari, crab legs, soups clams and other foods! Very good place would recommend it to anyone interested

The restaurant was recommended by friends. We thoroughly enjoyed the food. The place was clean and comfortable. The selection was larger than most buffets. We will definitely be back!

Didn't have many options to choose from. Server was slow and inattentive. We literally cracked the crab legs with our mouth because she failed to bring a cracker. Alcoholic drinks were a horror. Probably won't return here. Very disappointed. Tokyo Bay is MUCH better.

Second time here for lunch in two days!!! If you are a sushi lover, this place is for you. They have different selections of sushi, shrimp and oysters. They also have a small area buffet of regular chineese food. Sushi is very fresh!! Lunch buffet is $10.99

I had a great experience here. Unlimited crab legs and hibachi for $22. They had a great assortment of sushi and sashimi along with great grouper soups and other chinese dishes. Definately will be back.

I have to give this place 5 stars for the fact that after my last experience, the Owner went out of his way to contact me and rectify the situation with an apology and an offer for a free lunch. I certainly appreciate that! After all, the sushi here is pretty good!

This is my go-to spot for sushi, although I really need to find something I enjoy equally as much in the city. First, just want to note the hibachi is now included in the dinner buffet price ($19.99 weekdays, $21.99 weekends). I've never been for lunch so I am unsure of the price structure/inclusions there. It's a pretty casual, but nice atmosphere, converted years ago from a steakhouse to the buffet. There is ample parking available in the lot. I've always been sat very promptly, and then just head straight up to the buffet. The waiters will bring your drinks and clear your plates as necessary. I also really love the staff here, they always remember me! This is definitely, as the name implies, a sushi bar and not a Chinese buffet. They do have plenty of options on the hot bar, of which my two favorites are the pork dumpling (goza) and calamari (the calamari is fried but I pick the fried part off and it's really tender). They have plenty of other options such as sesame chicken and soups for those that aren't sushi fans. There is also a small salad bar with an abundance of different dressings. Although I don't usually get it myself, there are some fun desserts, including Jello(!) and ice creams. Where this places shines is the sushi and sashimis. I really enjoy anything with a little bit of spice, and prefer the sushis that don't have the typical avocado, and there is always something for me. I also love the sashimi, it's always really fresh and delicious! One of my favorite items is the mussels with spicy sauce, I always go back for more! Of the hibachi, all is good but I prefer the shrimp. They all come with two sauces, a red that has a little bit of spice, and a creamy, sweeter white sauce. Man. I really have to stop writing reviews. Now I want this again and I'm hungry. Dinner anyone?

False advertising, be careful! I literally drove 45-minutes out of my way to try this place when I had company. There is no lobster at the buffet, it's $50 per person extra if you want to add lobster. There is no access to hibachi without asking your server first. When you get your hibachi, it's a tiny little portion that lacks any real flavor. The place is generally nice, but the $20 per person is expensive for a basic cookie-cutter Chinese buffet. They seriously serve the same stuff that I think they import at really low prices. The lady filling the buffet had no idea what we were asking for. And, as I don't speak Spanish yet (thank you Rosetta Stone), I had no idea of how to tell her the food was cold. Tip: Just go to your neighborhood all your can eat chinese buffet, you'll regret going to this place.

I came here for lunch during the week, and it's a decent Asian buffet. As the name implies they focus on sushi more so than the other Asian food offerings that other Asian buffets might have available. If you're not big into sushi and you don't want to pay the additional money ($3-5... I don't remember) for hibachi, this probably isn't the best place for you. The limited non-sushi selection is pretty standard (orange chicken, fried chicken wings, Chinese broccoli, dumplings, crab rangoon, etc.). The sushi is served cooled which is nice except for the deep fried offerings. It means that they're not hot and crunchy, but what else are you gonna do about it when it's a buffet. The desserts including the ice cream are pretty good. I got the chocolate ice cream, but a lot of the green tea was gone so I'm assuming the green tea ice cream must be good.

The last time we were here (many years ago) it was for a friendly "how many lobster can you eat challenge." The winner of our group ate 5 steamed lobsters. But he also swore off lobster ever since. I've never been back because the food selection was lackluster for me. We came back this time with another group but similar challenge. However it was short lived. Buffet with Lobster is now market price ($50 on this particular night.) One look at the buffet selections and the lobsters, my friends decided it wasn't worth the price. And so we settled for $21.99 for weekend dinner buffet. The selection hasn't changed much. Still limited. Just like most typical buffet, there's sushi, sashimi, seafood, fried goods, salads, meat, soups, fruits, ice cream..ect. As far as starches go, I had 2 selections: lo mein or fried rice. There's also hibachi for your grilled meat & veggies. Food quality is decent but nothing to write home about. The draw to this buffet is likely the whole all you can eat lobsters but I really didn't see any patron ordering that. I guess they also did not find $50 to be worthwhile for unseasoned, boiled lobsters either. Of note, the Fresh snow crab legs were pleasantly warm & not too salty. At other buffet places, they are usually cold & too Salty. It's cheaper than nori nori, but you get what you pay for.

Some of you act like you know what the hell you are talking about when you say which sushi place is better than this place and no nori nori is better if you think so then you know nothing about sushi. First of all the sushi is decent. Its nothing spectacular but decent. However i would definitely give credit when its due about the sushi rice. Its on point. As far as the buffet goes I was here for lunch and all I can say is that I didnt get a food coma. The food here is not jam packed with msg like other places but that is my personal opinion. Not too salty either so I will definitely come back once in awhile when im around the area.

Hubby and I was looking for a seafood and sushi buffet and we found this. The sushi/Japanese cuisine lovers buffet, the amount of sushi on the bar is very impressive. Eel roll, sashmi, volcano roll and many more. The other food on the bar included a salad bar, cold seafood selections, hot bar with rice, tempera, fish etc. This is not a Chinese buffet so it doesn't have any sweet, saucy meats and veggies to pair with rice or any buttered veggies. The crab legs were not whole clusters they were single legs not what I'm willing to pay for. The ambiance was Ok. The service ho hum. The only downside is it seems the establishment nickels and dime you for everything. Buffet has a base price but add a salad it's $2.99pp. Add hibachi oh yeah another $2.99pp..... our bill came to 42 bucks with hibachi added so it's not a cheap buffet and we didn't get any alcohol (which is the best thing ever buffet and drinks). Overall positive experience I will return when I want a plethora of fresh sushi buffet style.

Very impressed. Was expecting a stinch when we walked in the door but there was not. The sushi was better than average and the hot bar had a very large selection. The hibachi which is included in the dinner price was excellent. I had the steak and it was cooked perfectly...Not too dry. Great experience here today.. Will for sure return

  • Justin H.

The food was good. I had the Buffet. Some if the hot items were a little on the cold side. There was a good selection of rolls and sashimi. Can't comment to much on the service but the drinks were filled and plates removed!

  • Annie D.

If sushi is your thing, they have a big selection of fresh, popular items. I liked this place better when they first opened and their back section was geared toward a seafood buffet. Their hibachi items are good, but I would go somewhere else for that if that is what I wanted. Decent prices, food is good.

The food is decent for money paid, waitress was not friendly and seemed annoyed when asked to change a drink for my son. Very small dessert selection and not well stocked. I think they need to be more friendly, I think they were upset that we were a large party that consisted mostly of kids. For the money paid, can't really complain about the quality of food.

I've come here a number of times and you really can't beat the price! It's an all-you-can-eat sushi buffet with a salad and dessert bar. There's even a hot food area with all the normal lo mein, fried rice, crab rangoons, etc. The first couple times I went here, all the rolls pretty much tasted alike but were all very good! The next time I came here, it seemed like the sushi had been sitting out for a while and didn't taste right. I didn't get sick or anything but it definitely left a bad taste in my mouth and I haven't been back since. Here you get what you pay for! The sushi buffet is around $13.50 for dinner and you can add hibachi or lobster to it for an additional cost. I've been to a number of sushi buffets in Atlanta and I still prefer Nori Nori over anything else!

Very good buffet. Enjoyed the crab legs. Food stayed fresh and hot. Sushi was tasty also. The desserts were ok. Nothing special. They do have a hibachi grill that I will try next time.

They now limit you to 6 lobster for $48.00. I was disappointed as 2 of my friends and I went to try and down 10 apiece. I was told when lobster prices come back down, they will go back to all you can eat. I won't get the lobster again until they do but the regular price is a deal for crab legs. Plus I found out the place was a nasty "Bugaboo Creek" restaurant, hence the odd decor for a buffet.

  • Emilly W.

This place is amazing! I went during the lunch hour. They have an incredibly large selection of sushi which is constantly being made. The "Chinese" food was equally as good but has a smaller selection. You cannot beat the price at all. This will be my new sushi stop.

Finally decided to dine here free hearing good things about it. Did it meet our expectations? Nahhh. I'm normally not a fan of buffets. My boyfriend wanted to try their lobster all you can eat....for $50. This price also includes the regular buffet of Chinese American food and sushi, hibachi, snow crab legs, and sashimi. I think this is a pretty good deal for all of that food. My boyfriend ate four lobsters, one to two pounds of crab legs, and crawfish. He made sure he got what he paid for. The first order of lobsters, they give you two large lobsters and present it nicely to you. After the first order, the quality and size of the lobsters decline. They also bring just one lobster per order after the first order. He said the lobster is okay, but it's probably better off if you just buy your own lobster and cook it at home. The lobster orders just come with butter on the side. He also says that the meat in the lobster claws are grainy like sand. You get what you pay for -- quantity over quality here. I just stuck to the regular buffet. I had the intention to get hibachi, but after my second plate, I was just too full. The quality of sushi must have gone downhill. The sushi sounds nothing like what others have described in their reviews of this establishment. It's edible, but really the worst sushi I've had so far. It's not wrapped well as it falls apart immediately and the fried rolls are like a quarter of what the average fried rolls look like. I feel like you can make better sushi rolls at home. Stay away from the sushi. It's just not appealing at all. I also tried the fried tempura sweet potato (good), wings (good), broccoli and veggies stir fry (good), fried rice (good - tastes like hibachi fried rice), sesame chicken (not good), lo mein (not good), crab ragoon (not good), hot & sour soup (pretty standard), and the seafood soup (very good). The service was okay. The manager was definitely more attentive to my boyfriend since he ordered the $50 meal versus my $15 meal. The manager took away his plates of food, but not mine whenever he came by. Weird. Also, he never refilled our waters. This is a big no in my book of service. Overall, I don't think I will come back for a second visit. It's a bit of a drive for me and also, it's not that great for me to return. I think I'll stick with Nori Nori.

Well this is the place for it What does this place serve? -sushi rolls (ex:avocado, fried cream cheese, etc) -chinese food -cheese rangoons, dumplings, etc -salad stuff -chinese soups -hibachi (extra costs) -dessert (flan, cake, fruits) Prices went up over the years but still worth it in my opinion..give it a try(:

I'm sitting in the porch of the lobster house having just eaten lunch here. I am a bit crippled right now w a torn ACL and as we followed our hostess Helen to a big comfy booth she noticed my brace and said, "let me put closer to the buffet than this so you wont have to walk so far." How thoughtful. The sushi and sashimi are always fresh and I cannot stop eating the ginger dressing salad! Only down about this place is I always eat too much!!

This is my favorite sushi spot in or around Alpharetta. I'd say my kids and I eat here once a week. The price has gone up for lunch, which is the best time for me to eat here, but it's still affordable and I think a good value for what's offered on the food bar(s). There are many types of sushi, and I've tried them all. I've never had a bad piece or sampled one that didn't have exception taste. And I'm particular. Clean, fresh smelling, the rice is nicely packed and modeled, (not packed hard like you're eating a rice golf-ball), and the fish is not freezer burned, it's fresh, light, and tasty. The additional food items that we've tried range from salad bar, to hot foods and soups. The miso soup is just right. The peanut chicken is so good too! To be clear, each item from the "hot bar" that I've tried has been served at the correct temperature. Not cold, nor chewy nor cold. (Again, I'm picky, especially about cold food.) I will say, we've never had the Lobster, nor the hibachi. Simply because we are too stuffed to even consider it. The staff is always nice, they recognize us and always warmly greet us. The only downside to my experience there, is the men's bathroom. There's always been an odor which permeates the nicely decorated room. (The urinals have been out of order from time to time.) Sometimes you just don't need that to compliment your sushi. Can you feel me? Aside from that, this is the place to go get your buffet sushi fill.

I've been back since the pricing for dinner buffet was changed. Overall I think it's very reasonable, and certainly a great deal on weekdays. The crab legs are of good quality, fresh and meaty. However, one batch I had was bland and another too salty. I think the best thing to do is steam them, if the restaurant could invest in a giant multi-tier steamer. Crab legs should taste sweet from their natural flavor in my opinion. I generally prefer hot crab legs but if it's hard to keep the flavor consistent that way I would be satisfied with sweet but cold crab legs, just like at another big Japanese buffet restaurant further down south. Fried blue crabs, those are good but can get cold very quickly and once they're cold, they're not good. Maybe they should be placed in a deeper heated tray rather than a flat plate so that cold air doesn't get to them too easily. Or maybe do ginger scallion instead. That way even if the whole thing gets a bit cold it still tastes good and texture won't get affected too much. Or if you're adventurous, look up recipe for Thai stir-fried crab in yellow curry sauce. That is the bomb and very hard to find here. Crawfish, the day I went the broth was a bit watery and not as flavorful and spicy as usual. Crawfish has very thick shell and the meat itself does not have much flavor. So it's important to make sure the broth has strong, intense flavor. I never liked crawfish until I had crawfish here so please bring on the flavor. Tapioca pearls in coconut milk, this has nice aroma but is a bit bland and too watery I have to say. More coconut milk, more sugar, and a little bit of salt will take it to the next level I think. Other items that I eat like crab rangoons, chicken wings, stir-fried vegetables, green tea ice cream, etc. are good and I'm happy with them. Service is good.

I am not a fan of buffets generally however my partner & I had not been to this restaurant previously & we were looking at dinner options in the Northpoint mall area prior to seeing a movie at the nearby AMC. The food here was very average for the price. The Sushi selection was OK however the Chinese food selections were quite "yuk". The quality of the meats on the Hibachi plate were OK. Including tip, the meal cost $70 for the two of us which I felt was over-priced for the variety & quality of the food. The service was fairly mediocre. This is not a restaurant I will return to in future.

Good, solid food in a nice atmosphere, at a great (for the value) price. Unlike most buffets, about half the items were way above average. Many of the sushi selections were really good. The sushi alone is worth it. Salad, appetizers, and dessert is included. Everyone at our table said they would like to eat here again.

Not very impressive. Wanted to try it because we wanted seafood. The fish was dry and overcooked, other fish was fried or coated. Limited vegetable selection. Price was fair but for the food you got, no plans to return

Went for company lunch, it was ok. Although they had pretty good variety of sushi buffet, the ones with raw fish was not fresh. The hot food section was so so, nothing that stand out. For $12.99 a piece, I was expecting a lot more.

  • Keith H.

Great place! Always wanted to try it. Great selection, great service, and clean. Good sushi selection and a decent buffet. 15.99 for the dinner buffet was not too bad. Suprise favorite? The hot and sour soup. One of the best I've ever tasted. Sushi rolls were tight and didn't fall apart. Our server dude was awesome. I'll be back when I'm very hungry and want to get stuffed.

This restaurant is used to be my favorite place. But after I have been there in December 2015. I will not go back. The dinner price is up to $20 on weekday and $22 on weekend. The sushi rolls are not as good as used to be. There are not much rolls to select, and they are not good. The seaweed salad does not taste good as before. The cold lobster claws are very bad. They are not fresh, disintegrated, taste, and smell bad. These cold lobster claws should not allow to serve customers. The salad bar is smaller, and not much to get. The desserts and fruits are less. I ordered sweet tea, and it's extremely sweet. The good things is it includes the sashimi (which does not look appeal), snow crab leg, and hibachi.

This place is so deceiving. I went with my family for dinner. They had almost no variety. It was sesame chicken, red snapper and duck. Everything tasted weird. ..i had broccoli, cucumber and tomato salad. There was fried rice and that's about the only rice. The dessert had a beautiful variety but the one plate i picked at made me so sick i couldn't even look at anything else. We all got sick. Something was either, past it's due date or sitting out too long. It's also not kid friendly at all. My nephew didn't like any of the food and he's not picky. He pretty much had dessert for dinner. You can imagine the ride home lol. The price was ridiculous! We all had the regular buffet, a 5 year old and 4 adults and it was $85!! We definitely won't be returning. Thanks but no thanks.....I would've preferred Taco Bell or Wendy's next door.

I prefer sashimi to sushi and am not a huge fan of rolls vs. fish, but in this case a friend was taking me to lunch with a limited time to spend. We found this place by chance near his office. There are lots of choices so I found quite a number that were pretty good. I also had the hot&sour soup, which was first-rate. This is always a big factor in my rating of chinese buffets. On the hot bar I tried the mussels and the clams. Mussels were very good, but the clams were tasteless. I ordered hot tea with my buffet and found that I got a cup of hot water and a tea bag, not the Japanese green tea I would expect in a place like this. Creme brulee was decent for a dessert. My friend had the chicken hibachi rather than the sushi bar. He said it was fine, but I noticed that the hot bar had only fried rice, not the steamed rice I would have prefered myself.

It buffet sushi - but I like it. They've also beefed up their quality of the other buffet options - such as adding a steak/mushroom/onion stir fry. The hot and sour soup is on par and the peanut chicken is a go-to. You'll pay $10.99 for the lunch buffet - so it's not an every day stop - but it's a treat in the world of sketchy sushi buffets. The lunch window turns over quickly and you can see the chefs feverishly working to replenish.

Lobster House Sushi and Hibachi offers an all you can eat buffet of sushi, salad and Chinese food. You can add hibachi to your buffet for an small up-charge. You can also upgrade to add sashimi, crab, and lobster to your buffet as well. The restaurant also offers a regular menu if you'd prefer to not eat with the germs of the masses. I opted for the buffet with hibachi on my visit. The buffet has a plethora of sushi options. They are constantly making the sushi so it's pretty fresh. I don't really eat fish so I stuck with the avocado roll, crab roll, and shrimp tempura rolls. They have a small salad selection that's mostly just lettuce and dressings. I got the salad with ginger dressing. I was excited to see some crab ragoon as a selection. I loaded up on those. When you order the hibachi option, you have to tell your server what you would like and he/she will place the order for you. I started off with steak and shrimp. They bring a few sauces with the meats when they deliver them. Overall, it's a decent buffet option.

"What kind of sushi restaurant doesn't have ketchup!" -- Zulu (1964) What's funny is ME coming to a sushi buffet. But I was here to support a friend on his eating quest and I knew there were a few things on the buffet I could eat (not the sushi). So I went for the up charge of the hibachi (chicken and steak). Off the buffet I opted for the salad with ginger dressing (yum), sesame chicken (totally delightful) and the tempura veggies (loved these). I went for several rounds of the buffet items I picked and enjoyed them thoroughly, but my favorite, by far, was the hibachi meats. Both items were succulent, flavorful and I could not get enough. It was worth the up charge, no question. As for dessert, they had little slices of red velvet cake (dry, not very velvety), a mocha cake (this was the best option), creme brulee (which tasted more like paste than creme brulee) and serve yourself ice cream - my personal favorite from that was the rainbow sherbet. Despite the ribbing I received from my friends in my pronunciation of the word sherbet - notice the word has 1 R and not 2 - I really enjoyed my scoop of rainbow SHERBET. But did leave feeling like I wanted some dessert as what they offer doesn't really fill that dessert quota.

This is a decent place to stuff your face. They have several prices ranges depending on what you order. Hibachi, crab legs, and lobster are all extra. The rolls are decent and they have a great variety of them. The Chinese food on the hot part of the buffet was a major letdown. I will probably be back at some point.

    (3)
  • Doug B.

Have been here a couple times and they have a large selection of fresh sushi with plenty of shaved ginger and wasabi. The Chinese buffet section is not very large with some "strange" concoctions I had not seen before. Overall it is good food at a reasonable price. What surprises you the most is the interior decor - more like an Alaskan lodge that an Asian theme. It's AYCE so it's your own fault if you leave there hungry. The full bar will satisfy your desire for any kind of adult beverage. Go off hours to avoid a wait for a table.

Buffet lunch under $12. Wi-Fi. The sushi nigiri selection is small: tuna, salmon, shrimp, fake crab and that nasty fish I loathe, the mackerel. Another one may be the egg one. However, the fish portion for nigiri is generous. They serve some good quality teriyaki beef, I do have to say. For an up charge you can hit the hibachi

  • Jamie L.

This is my boyfriend's and my go-to place for good sushi around our neighborhood. They have great variety of rolls and the standard nigiris. For an additional cost, you can upgrade your meal to include lobster, hibachi, and sashimi. Lobster House sushi buffet is super affordable, clean, and tasty. They are no Nori Nori, but Lobster House is conveniently located and can cure my hankering for sushi so it deserves 4 stars

I've been here a few times and love their all u can eat sushi! However, I love this place even better when I tried their individual entrees. I had the chicken tempura, my favorite! And it was so good. And what's even better is that we got a $10 off from Restaurant.com ! Awesome!

Would never return to this place again. Only came here because my wife's family wanted to eat here. Lobster House Sushi & Hibachi is just another Chinese Buffet with sushi. A cheaper version of Nori Nori. However, it's a little too pricey for the types of choices they have to offer. So sushi and buffet items are included in one price. However, if you wanted crab legs or lobster you would have to pay in addition to price of the bar. Their buffet line had many sushi and nagiri choices and Chinese food items (not Japanese). I was disappointed because I was expecting some Japanese food. Some may say "Japanese and Chinese style what's the difference, it's all from the same continent!" Geographically true - but food no. There is a difference. Crab Rangoon is not a Japanese item. However, the food seemed okay - maybe because I was hungry and I didn't have to wait for my food to come out. I was able to eat as much as I could - but afterwards I had the feeling whenever I go to a Chinese buffet, disappointment and regrets. The service was okay as well. The servers were probably hired on to police their tables to see if anyone eats items that customers have to pay extra for. Yet they paid no attention to you whenever you needed more drink - but they were quick to notice if you grabbed a crab leg from the buffet. Quick to bring the check and cash you out. What's the rush? Sad.

This is a nice sushi buffet near the mall in Alpharetta. We go here for lunch occasionally because they have a good selection of sushi and the Chinese food is good as well. The staff is always friendly and attentive. They are quick to check on you to fill your drinks and clear the plates from the table. During lunch time it is always busy but there is not a wait so it's a great place to go for lunch.

This place is a disappointment. I don't usually go to NoriNori because it's a hefty price, but this place made me realize that I would rather pay the price and eat their NICE buffet food than this... junk. Everything fried here is super salty - probably to prevent you from eating alot of it. Sushi is okay but soups are either salty or too bland (miso). Soft-shelled crab - not so soft. Hibachi and crab is a whopping extra cost... hibachi meaning a plate of stri-fried meat portion, and get this - the waitress said, "Eat this first while it's hot... if it gets cold we do not remake." I mean, they might as well tell you to your face, "We want you to pay gourmet buffet prices while we try to rip you off somehow by cutting corners on each dish." Never again.

I stumbled on to this place and overall the sushi and quality of food is good. It's definitely a bargain for the price. My only critique is that they didn't have lobster on the buffet at all. Thought it was off considering the place is called the Lobster House. They have a good variety of sushi that is prepared fresh. It he dessert bar is lacking in options. I would definitely come back for lunch to enjoy the different types of sushi and rolls.

Fresh buffet food with mostly Chinese hot items. Nice selection of chicken, fish, beef and even beef ribs. Good Chinese green veggies to balance the meal. Sushi bar is better than average with about 10 different sushi rolls (many with no raw fish for those folks in your party who do not like raw fish) I prefer the tuna and salmon raw fish nigiri (on rice) and its a good quality. Nice slices of fruit and a few cake items and my favorite Creme Brulee to end the meal. When they do offer lobster (seasonal) it's extra on top of the buffet menu of course, and it's very good. I have only had the hibachi once and they did a nice job. For the price it's a nice lunch with tasty fresh clean food that is easy to get a table, and not have to wait to order if your lunch time is limited. Something for everyone if you go during work with a group of co-workers and want a lot of pretty good food, fast with no hassle. If you are a regular, be sure to get one of those frequent buyer cards signed every time so that you can buy five meals and get one free.

Came by the other night for our 2 year anniversary dinner, and was a bit shocked at first but, overall, enjoyed the experience. I went expecting the traditional hibachi, but they actually don't have it. You get the sushi buffet, and can pay an additional $3.99 for hibachi, but it only comes with the meat, which was weird since I asked for vegetables as well. It's nice cause it's just a one time fee for the hibachi, although they ask you not to share, which you shouldn't. The also have snow crab and lobster buffet and that fee changes based off market price. The snow crab was $30 per person, including sushi and sashimi, and the lobster was $50ish. The food is yummy, and I suggest you come with big belly that needs to be filled because they have tons of options. I say it's pretty similar to Nori Nori.

A lot of people turn up their nose at the idea of a "sushi buffet" --- but for those of us who don't know our Maki from our Sashimi, it's great to have the sushi laid out in front of me so I can choose what I want to eat... Lobster House is, of course, a sushi buffet type of restaurant. I have not been to a sushi buffet in years and was a bit skeptical, though ended up being pleased with what seemed like good quality food being constantly replenished here. Personally, I don't mind the sushi buffet concept. It allows one to look over the items and decided whether or not you want that item for your plate. I'm far, far from being a sushi connoisseur so that makes the choosing of sushi easier. I note that Lobster House keep the sushi chefs behind the bar busy ... they seem to put out enough to "keep up" but not too much as so it does not sit out for too long and retains freshness. It's the same scenario on the "hot food" side. The items there are not the heaping piles I've seen at other buffets and appear to be replenished frequently. Good job, Lobster House. Aside from the Hibachi grill and crab legs as add-on's, there does not appear to be any 'a la cart' or individual meals. I noticed a large table be seated, find out there really isn't a "menu" a la 'Red Lobster' and then leave ... (I guess "sushi buffet" and "hibachi" does not really resonate with eastern-european folks with english as a second language.)

This place is a knock off for Nori Nori. The sushi variety is quite good. But the hot foods/salad bar has alot to be desired. Variety is super small for hot foods. The hibachi grille is pretty good but you have to pay extra money for it. I feel it should be included in the price already. Crab legs and Lobster is also an extra charge. Good place to eat if your looking for good sushi. But if your not a sushi lover, its prolly not a good place for you to go because it will be a waste of money. I will say this, the customer service really sucks there espec. one male waitress. He watches over you to make sure if you share the hibachi or not and he never brings refills unless you ask for it. Happened 2-3 times that I went. The only good thing about this place is the location. Its in a nice area in North Fulton area and close to ga 400. Most of the buffets are over in gwinnett/dekalb area.

The variety and value for a sushi buffet is unmatched by any other establishment I've been to anywhere in the country. Their roll selection changes frequently and always has unique offerings. The nigiri is fresh (albeit a bit thin), and the hot bar also has some unique offerings (peanut chicken and the teriyaki steak are excellent). Dinner offerings are different, but similar, with added higher-end offerings such as raw oysters (in-season), which are excellent.

We got a coupon in the mail and decided to give it a try on a Sunday. It really exceeded our expectations for the price and all you can eat. They have sushi, rolls, shrimp, oysters, fish, clams, blue crab and soup. The cake and ice cream seals the deal at the end. One of the best values I have found.

Sushi was decent. The rest of the buffet food was good, everything was fresh and I think it was a very good deal for $16!

One of the best buffets I have ever had. The big key is getting in before the rush. If you can get in and start getting full around 11 or 11:30, you're golden. I'm not a stickler for sushi. I really enjoy the stuff, but a lot of rolls taste about the same. Lobster house's Mexico rolls are fantastic, as are the southern rolls (sweet potato, fried chicken... i don't remember the rest), and they have all basic sushi needs taken care of. Basic chinese buffet foods are there. The peanut butter chicken has never failed to impress me, and the rest of their cuisine has consistently been way above average for a buffet.

I am giving this restaurant two stars only because our waitress was so nice. WORST SUSHI EVER. Unless you just love cream cheese because that's all there is. Rice was bad too. Buffet bar looked tired and you could tell pieces had been sitting awhile. Sorry....

This place receives 5 stars mainly for its value. I am new to the GA area and after reading reviews for seafood buffet from others on yelp, I checked out all three places Lobster House, Tokyo Bay, and Nori Nori. I went to Nori Nori twice in Nov. 2014 and Dec. 2014. I went to Lobster House and Tokyo Bay both in Dec. Also, I need to let others know that I am Chinese and have a very Asia palette. Therefore, if you're looking for good fried rice or fried chicken, my review may not be useful for you. Also, there may be some day to day variance in the restuarants since different chefs may be on duty that day. With that said. I think the sashimi is pretty good. It's pretty fresh but I wouldn't say it's better than Nori Nori. The sushi chefs there are all Chinese people and they do not taste very good. The crab legs and peking duck were good when I went there. In terms of selection, there isn't as big of selection as the other two places. There's hardly any veg. choices. The hibachi grill is ordered through the waitress only. You cannot go up to the grill yourself to order. So to summarize, for the money, you mainly get a pretty good selection of seafood and sashimi. The crab legs are boiled in water so it's hot but loses some flavor.

I give it 4 calif rolls. Been there a few times. Good food, service and price. The sushi buffet is the reason to go, not the chinese food, which is bland. Its easy to find, can't miss it, head to North Point Mall and Haynes Bridge, across from Best Buy, very convenient, lots of parking.

Meh is the feeling I got when my party entered and meh is the feeling that pervaded throughout the whole meal, and afterwards. The place looked clean, and there were these laser disco spots would randomly pop up around us, so I don't think this is the best date spot. They have a bunch of sushi and the more usual suspects for nigiri (salmon, tuna, octopus, tofu-skin, white tuna, snapper, etc). Unfortunately, the fish was lower quality and unsurprisingly all the different rolls tasted the same. They did have a hot food buffet which included the usual American Chinese suspects like fried rice, lo mein, and general tso's chicken. They had a salt and pepper galbi that, while I wasn't a fan of the taste, was cooked rare and that was somewhat enjoyable. The shrimp was overcooked and pastey. Highlights of the meal for me were the little clams at the hot food buffet, the galbi, and all the fruit. The creme brulee was ok (had a pretty pronounced egg custard after taste, more than the usual ones I've tried), and the ice cream wasn't bad (your usual huge tanks of ice cream). However, these highlights were still only mediocre. Dinner was $13, hibachi is an extra $4, crab legs is $23, and throwing lobsters in the picture is $45 (they also sell lobster for $10 a pound). Everything was pretty tasteless and bland to me, so I'm surprised that here I am several hours later and I'm still thirsty and chugging down water. I guess it's still a buffet and it's probably better than a lot of the ones out there, so try it if you're a big fan of buffets.

This place is completely average. Fish wasn't fishy---true (so plus points for that). But then again most things were cooked. Barely any regular RAW fish rolls (tuna roll, salmon roll, blahblah). Boyfriend seemed to love it...because everything was cooked. Cmon, where the sushi at??? There's a lunch special going on...$8.99 for lunch. I'm still pretty disappointed. The service wasn't horrible and neither was the food. But I want my tea to be HOT when I get it---that's why I order HOT tea. And I'd like my soup to be a little hotter than semi-lukewarm. I'd rather go to Sydney's in Duluth. Lobster house isn't horrible, but not worth the drive, and this is a review from someone who looooves buffet type of places.

The idea of all you can eat sushi with a small hot buffet is pretty neat. The sushi isnt bad but it does kind of concern me to see raw fish sitting out in the open or sushi in general under heat lamps. The sushi was not terrible. I guess you pay for what you get. You do have the option to add snow crab or lobster in an all you can eat fashion for an additional price. A bit steep of an additional price I might add. If you are looking for an okay quality of sushi and want to eat a bit, i would say this would be your place, but overall Im not impressed nor fond of the idea of having sushi on a buffet out in the open.

The reviews on this place should be higher. Definitely higher. Now, I am not a huge fan of sushi...and the words "sushi" and "buffet" creep me out when combined together in a sentence. Lobster House, however, did not disappoint. There were TONS of non raw fish types of sushi. Tons. California rolls, peanut rolls, fried fish rolls (beyond tempura...full on cooked), veggie rolls, etc. Lots of options. I will warn that the rolls with lots of creamy looking topping will taste like straight up mayo with a little bit of rice. Overpowering and not good. I would agree with other reviewers that the sushi is average. But good average. I mean it is $10...it is not going to be crazy good. But it was good enough that I would go back. The Chinese dishes were ok. Reminiscent at times of a cheaper Chinese buffet, but decent. Didn't try the hibachi. Wish I would have. Overall, for $10 for an all you can eat sushi buffet...how can you go wrong? If it is even halfway decent the place deserves at minimum 4 stars. I mean...it is sushi for crying out loud. Imagine for a moment what you can get for $10 at any other sushi restaurant. That won't get you far. My only complaint is that the creme brulee was terrible. I mean really, really terrible. It tasted like fried fish butter with some sugar thrown on top. Everyone at our table tried it (6 people) and everyone had the same gag reflex. Terrible. But, at the end of the day, that was not what we were there for. Just take a little lunch break there once. Can't go wrong!

This place is awesome for $12.99 dinner and $9.99 buffet with sushi, salad, and chinese style food. If you want to add on all you can eat sashimi, then it is $18.99 with also snow crabs. They will bring the sashimi to you. You can also add hibachi grilled meats if you want or get all you can eat lobsters for additional $. I like it because it is good quality food that is inexpensive in terms of buffet type of food. They also have a very friendly staff and full BAR!! Yes.. you can order your single malt scotch!! I like the fact that they have boiled CRAWFISH!! It is not as spicy as I like it to be but definitely adds little more "EDGE" factor to this place... I usually sit by the bar, order beer, watch TV and eat my heart out! BOOM! Check it out when you are in the area!

Best sushi buffet in the Alpharetta in my opinion. The sushi are made by "Chinese" and Hispanic chefs which is still better than most places that get hispanic people who has no experience with sushi and put them on the bar. Although it's not a true Japanese sushi chef, the sushi still taste good and fresh. They have a sushi bar, cold bar, and chinese bar too. There is a nice selection of sushi and my favorite is the angel roll, the nigiri selection, and the spicy crab meat roll. They also have a $50 all you can eat Lobster I think.

Best value all-you-can-eat sushi / hibachi buffet North of the Perimeter! ($9.99 lunch, $12.99 dinner) The sushi is extremely fresh and tasty and they offer an extremely diverse selection of sushis, sashimis, and even certain premium rolls are included on the buffet which is worth the price of the meal alone. Every meal includes unlimited sushi plus a soup / salad bar in addition to a Chinese hot bar featuring normal Chinese rice, broccoli, chicken, wings, crab rangoon, gyoza. Everything is made fresh and the high volume customer base ensures you get the sushi as they make it. For $2 more you can add hibachi to your order. They also do unlimited crab for around $20 something and the premium unlimited lobster for $45 (never tried it personally) This place is always clean, the staff friendly, they have a full bar and you really cant go wrong for the price!

I'm not one to give away 4 stars easily. You have to work for it, and exceed my expectiations. that being said: Service: fantastic; attentive but not pushy. aware but not overbearing. food: definetly exceeded my expectations. I had never been here before, we wanted asian but weren't sure what we wanted. I have walked out of "asian buffets" scared in the past, however this was surprisingly opposite. The sushi bar was clean, and prepared where you could see what they were doing, and with a great taste and assortment. The "chinese buffet" had a pretty good assortment equal to your local chinese to go menu. the food was HOT, NOT over cooked as if it had been sitting in a hot box in the kitchen before being dumped in a steam table out front, and therfor edible. the hot buffet/steam table is what surprised me the most. the vegetables were not mush, the crab rangoons were hot crunchy and gooey on the inside and the rice was not a ball of sticky starch. it was like a baby Nori Nori. with baby nori nori prices!

I come here often for lunch with some co-workers, and they are actually the ones who introduced me to this place. I mean it's not the best place for sushi, by far, and I feel it is slightly overpriced, but I attribute that to the fact it's a buffet, and most buffets are overpriced. However, with the array of sushi that it offer, as well as the chinese food and dessert, I can't complain too much. It provides me with my sushi fix when needed, and then I'm good again till my next trip! :) Basically they have a sushi buffet, as well as a chinese section with your noodles, fried rice, chickens, and soups. Yup, it's really THAT simple. For $9.99 you get lunch, and $12.99 for dinner.

Sushi and Chinese take-out, buffet style. Overpriced, underwhelming quality. It's definitely not bad, but it should be a little better for $14 a person. 3 stars for having so much sushi. I mean, it's not anything awesome and creative, but for a buffet they do have a lot of options and types of fish to indulge in. For example, I had whole baby octopus, a little chewy but well seasoned. That was pretty cool for a buffet outside the mall in Alpharetta. It's really nice inside and has a full bar. Great place to go with the family if you're big eaters. You should really get your money's worth in volume if you plan to come here because it definitely won't be in quality.

This is a buffet style restaurant with an average bar and dining experience. That being said, if you are looking to consume a large quantity of "Average" sushi and hot bar items this is the place for you! The sushi is fresh, but the variety is a little limited. My wife and I enjoy Lobster house when we are really hungry and craving sushi!

Quantity. That's what comes up when I think of Lobster House after I ate here. They are not like another sushi buffet place that I visited before *cough* Noh Ryang Jin *cough* where they purposely delay and make you wait to make new sushi so you can't fill up on it. Lobster House on the other hand, they make and bring hordes of sushi. Over and over again. They got your typical special rolls like Spicy Tuna, Philadelphia Roll, Dragon Roll and whatever special concocted rolls they come up with, Like the Fried Salmon, Sweet Potato, Avocado roll. The sushi pieces were decent. They have the main stays of salmon, tuna, squid, shrimp and more. And yes they are typical sushi buffet where they thinly cut the fish but hey, you can eat as much as you want. That's the trade off. Lobster House also has hibachi and other Asian foods available. I feasted on Vietnamese spring rolls with my sushi. One of the better points of Lobster House was that they were celebrating a restaurant anniversary so lunch buffet was only $8.99!!! For that price I can enjoy the quantity!

I've been here a couple of times. Once for lunch and once for a bday dinner. Both times have been ok. Service is good but the food is just average. You can't really expect much though since it is a buffet. If you want a great buffet, go visit Vegas. The sushi rolls here all taste the same after awhile and they offer your typical chinese buffet food. Hibachi grill is meh. I've never tried their all- you-can-eat lobster option. I haven't heard any good things about it. I do like that they serve creme brulee as one of their desserts. It's not the best creme brulee I've ever had, but it's decent.

Another reviewer nailed it: This is "Golden Corral meets sushi." This place might be marginally acceptable IF it were only $8-$10 per person, tops. However, for dinner it is $16 per person for the "base" buffet, meaning sushi, a few hot items (mostly low-level Chinese and Japanese fare), and a paltry few dessert items (cheap cake slices, canned fruit, and something they are trying to pass off as creme brûlée). If you want the crab legs, add $9 per person. If you want hibachi, add $3. They also have signs up saying that you can have all you can eat sashimi for an extra $12.95. Ridiculous. We only opted for the "base" sushi and hot buffet, but I can tell you that $60 for three people at this particular place is not a value. We didn't "upgrade" to the crab legs, which would have resulted in a $90 tab. Several of the rolls did not taste fresh. Some of the fish on top did not look particularly appetizing and we were actually afraid to eat certain items...not a good sign at a sushi restaurant. It's true that the term "sushi buffet" garners eye rolls and many will say that you shouldn't expect much in such an establishment. But while this place provides a very low-grade dining experience, comparable to a cheap Chinese buffet, it is not particularly cheap in price. Consider that Nori Nori offers vastly higher quality sushi, plus crab legs and hibachi and homemade noodles and many other items for roughly the same price as this place charges for the sushi plus crab legs. Absurd! We walked out of this restaurant feeling ripped off - not because of the price itself - but because of the price relative to the low quality food. As one of my companions said, the restaurant has a low class look and feel; we couldn't enjoy it because we were worried about possible sanitary issues and there was simply very little offered in the buffet that stood out. There were some items that were "okay" in appearance and taste; others that were questionable. Other observations include: I pulled a dirty plate from the buffet plate stack; noticeable food residue. One of the soups with "beef" had apparently been there so long and at such a high temperature that the beef had a very unappetizing, whitish color...stringy and over boiled. Everything about this place says "CHEAP." Overall low to mediocre food quality. For about the same prices or a bit more, higher quality can be found elsewhere. Some have said that you have to temper expectations for a place like this, but we would not return.

What a farce! Lobster House? No. Service was average, food inedible. Crowd was awful. I recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a place to break-up with someone. Take a date to Lobster House Sushi and Hibachi and they will hate you.

Meh. It's fine, but I don't get excited about the place anymore. It's a standard sushi buffet. The rolls all kinda taste alike. The nigiri is pretty good. But like most sushi buffets, it's heavy on rice. The hot food is good. And the creme brulee is good too.

My wife and I enjoyed a meal here last night. First, you must remember this is a buffet. There wasn't any one item that was incredible, yet it was a great meal. We had really good service. Enjoyed quick access of the wifi and good conversation. There is a very good verity to choose from.

Good, not great or outstanding. Good prices for buffet sushi of good quality. Only a few raw items, but a nice side buffet of salad and dinner items and even dessert. Location close to home helps too.

The review average is 2-3 stars which feels right. Lunch is sushi buffet. That means the majority of selection is composed of rolls that are heavy with rice and other fillers. For example, tempura or spicy tuna, which uses up older, leftover bits of tuna. Interestingly, this is probably a better place if you are following a Paleo diet as there is a hot station with various chicken/beef and vegetable options. Plus, you can take a fair amount of fruit.

My girlfriend chooses to avoid a buffet at all costs! This place proved to be an excellent, cost effective seafood delight. The sushi was good, raw oysters delicious, shrimp was fresh and perfectly cooked too. The crab legs were good, but a little "hit-or-miss". They were best when the chef refilled the buffet pot....otherwise, they became overcooked. (this is to be expected at a buffet) Our server removed plates, refilled drinks, and emptied shell-bowls without us ever having to ask. Great option for a LOT of good seafood at a reasonable cost.

Incredible deal. I heard they just dropped their prices even more. I'm not a big fan of sushi buffets, but this one is very good. They sushi chef's are cranking out great sushi and rolls. The grilled section is good too. They even offer oysters. Great prices on beer too. I go here for lunch because it's somewhat in the area of work. A great experience to get quality food fast. I could go here every other day.

Great variety of sushi. Freshly made while you browse the enormous all you can eat buffet. Open Sundays for brunch. ** Updating this review** Lobster House is definitely one of those places, located at the corner "mouth opening" of North Point Mall on Haynes Bridge, that gets a ton of shopper "overflow". I don't think a lot of people expect to find a well run, very clean, inviting sushi bar at the mall perimeter. When you go in, you are immediately greeted by the friendly hostess, given a prime location seat and your table server appears to ask about drinks. The restaurant is buffet style "all you can eat" sushi, along with two "hot tables" and a dessert table. Drinks cost extra. For lunch, hibatchi can be had for a couple of dollars more. There is a wide variety of sushi to choose from some veggie, like the California Roll, some pickled or cooked fish, like Tuna and Salmon or crab, then there is also the Sashimi section, very fresh, and very RAW! Ginger, wasabi, soy...unlimited. Dessert table consists of fresh fruit in season, oranges, melons, honey dew, etc. Creme Brulee, cheese cake, pudding and there is a separate ice cream section where you can scoop the flavors of your choice. The two other Hot Tables, have daily menu changes, but some favorites are: chicken wings, calamari, fresh salad with toppings, fresh steams veggies, and then choices of soup...miso and usually hot and sour. You will definitely not leave wanting for much at this establishment. Full bar service for lunch and dinner. Lodgy atmosphere and Plasma TV at the bar and also above the center stone fireplace. I believe Lobster is available for dinner only and is the most expensive "dinner buffet" option. Last time I went they brought a loyalty card during the check and already punched the first one out. With 5 punches you get one meal free. Can't beat that. We are definitely return customers.

All I have to say is WOW! I would never in a million years think that so many different types of sushi rolls could taste exactly the same. Flavorless, overcooked rice with sauces on just about every single roll to mask the lack of flavor. I was really suprised that with the location and potential clientele, that they would do sushi so poorly. The "hot" bar was marginal at best. Overcooked chicken and peanuts, bland fried rice and a octopuss salad that was so chewy I could barely bite through it. I'm just glad that I didnt opt for the lobster bar and hibachi. Good service and friendly staff will never make up for food that is not good.

This place is the BOMB!!!! The sushi is always fresh and prepared minute to minute on the buffet. The hibachi selections are always hot and fresh. The black pepper chicken is ahhhhh- mazing!!!!!! I going tomorrow. Can't wait!!!! Japanese food lovers unite!!!!

We went for lunch on December 23 so it was fairly crowded. It was a Friday and two days before Christmas. The lunch price was $9.00 per person plus a soft drink. The total for 5 adults with soft drinks and a tip was $52.00.....not too bad. They had at least two dozen different rolls to choose from plus shashimi. They did not have any tuna shashimi. The only tuna I saw was in a spicy tuna roll or something similar. Overall, it was not bad for a buffet. There was also some Chinese food......pork, chicken, crab Rangoon, lo mien, etc. I think they might have used MSG as one of our group got a headache later in the afternoon. Will I go back? Yes, I will. Service was also good. One area that they need to improve on is the cleanliness of the men's room....it was gross. It smelled, the floor needed to be mopped and the sinks had a layer of scum on them. Other then that one negative, the experience was positive.

Lobster House has become a new favorite of mine! An $8.99 all-you-can-eat Sushi buffet for lunch, $12.99 for dinner. A great fresh wide variety of sushi, plus a salad bar, hot bar, soups, deserts, ice cream, and optional hibachi station. Haven't had the lobster yet, but look forward to it! Great atmosphere, like a lodge cabin, equipt with a separate bar section, TV's, and fireplace. Wait staff has been very pleasant. Be sure to ask for the loyalty card - buy 5 lunch buffets, get 1 lunch buffet at 50% off.

My husband loves buffets and he was in the mood for sushi, so we decided to give LH a try. He only will eat at sushi buffets so it will fill him up. Me on the other hand would much rather have quality than quanity. Dinner was $12.99. It was an extra $3.99 for the habachi. I would skip it next time. It included shrimp, calamari, steak, chicken, and veggies. Plus, it took a while to cook. The server brings it to your table instead of you waiting for it. You can also get the buffet plus crab legs, habachi, and sashimi for $22.99. The buffet included several different types of rolls. They all looked the same, and pretty much tasted the same. It wasn't too bad. There was also nigiri, which was sliced very thin and had lots of rice. They also had raw oysters and shrimp which is included in the reg buffet. I was skeptical of the raw oysters, but they were fresh and really good. However, after I ate about a dozen of them, there was one that tasted a little fishy, so I didn't eat any after that. There was a poor looking salad bar. It looked like no one touched it. The hot bar had some Chinese food, fried rice, and lo mein. Desserts were your average buffet of cakes, fruits, jello, ice cream, and there was also a creme brulee. You are able to order items from the menu. There are some items on the bar that you have to pay extra for too like the udon. Overall, LH was just average. Our waitress was great! This place was packed and there was plenty of seating for large parties and well as a table for 2. Lunch buffet is $8.99 ($1.99 extra for habachi) Mon-Fri. $9.99 ($1.99 extra for habachi) Sat and Sun.

When Lobster House first opened, they charged people a flat rate for their buffet whether it be lunch or dinner except for snow crab legs as extras. The food was good and the selection was enough. Price was a little high, but with hibachi and sushi it was reasonable. We just went back for their anniversary special with $9.99 a person on Sunday. The service to seating us was slow. The drinks came after most people finished their first plates. The buffet bars were half empty every time we went up and the place wasn't even half full. Not to mention it was $1.99 extra if you wanted any hibachi or udon (previously included). I'm not upset about a couple bucks here and there, but it just wasn't the experience like the first couple of times we went when it first opened. Why do a special if you just end up charging people your regular price?

If you look for Chinese buffet in this area. I believe this is 'the place'. However if you are looking for sushi buffet, then you should pick Kiku. If you are looking for both -- Chinese and Japanese buffet, then again, this is 'the place'. By the way Kiku does not open on weekend's lunch hours. This restaurant does. Lunch here is $9 and dinner is $13. If you want king crab and habachi, I believe that is another $10 more. My wife tried the king crab and habachi, and she comments that crab legs were not impressive. The several vegetables used in salad bar are very fresh and in high quality. The Chinese food bar is very good, much above average. Mostly chicken. Fired rice is okay. The soups (hot & sour mushroom soup and miso soup) are good. They have four or five Breyers Ice Cream varieties. Of course, we enjoy the ice cream; very dense. They have about 5 ~ 6 different desert cakes and moss cakes -- strawberry, orange, chocolate, Portuguese cake. Very delicious. The sushi are so so, as compared to Kiku. Services are good; smiling and friendly. Frequently removing your used disks and refilling your drinks. Environment is quiet and comfortable. High ceiling. Relaxing. Napkins on each table. Restaurant operates by Asians, i.e. Chinese and Koreans. Overall I think this restaurant is good place to treat your friends.

If you are a sushi fan, this is the place to go. They have a great variety of sushi dishes. The quality and presentation is good as well. Be sure that you are hungry when you come here. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. I would definitely recommend it for lunch or dinner.

Used to go once a week before I got sick of going so often.. That's how much I liked it! Prices are more expensive than before and is currently at $9.99 for lunch, but can't complain because the food is good. Usually sushi + buffet is not a good mix regardless of price, but this place is great. Not as good as Nori Nori though.. Also have hot chinese food which is ok. Good service.

So my husband and I wanted a nice dinner to celebrate our anniversary. We had not tried this place and Hibachi plus Lobster has us thinking upscale tepanyaki/Japanese. I walk in and immediately realize we were mistaken. My husband had arrived before me but I had missed his texts: "Not what I was expecting... Golden Corral meets Japanese food." Honestly we got thru the evening because I found it so amusing that it was tacky Japanese. Gotta say I almost left! Not what I had in mind. It looks really nice from outside, but more average inside. The set-up: buffet for $21 for dinner. There is a sushi section, a tiny fruit (canned pineapple, canned mandarin oranges) and desserts (some not so good cakes and some weird flan sort of stuff), and two random mix of chinese/asian foods like lo mien, fried shrimp, roast beef, etc. You can order hibachi and they bring it to you. There is also chilled boiled shrimp and steamed crab legs and crawfish. Quality - spotty. The cakes were not very good. The regular buffet items were standard cheapy chinese buffet food (so some people love that since its all you can eat, but I was not so impressed). The crab was quite decent for a cheap place but you have to STALK it to get them fresh when they come out! The hibachi was not so great. The quality was just not up to par with normal places. I had tiny shrimp and the chicken was eh. I will say a friend who ate here said the sushi was pretty good but I don't eat sushi. So not going back again but if you are really into all you can eat and tend to be happy with most chinese buffets, then this might be a step up for you. Oh and yeah the reviewer who commented on the sweet tea was right... AWFUL. Must be instant.

So today at work i was talked in to going to Lobster House for lunch with some coworkers. There were about 6 of us and we were seated as soon as we walked in. The hostess was very nice and friendly and our server was prompt and attentive, always keeping our drinks full and taking dirty plates away. The food was better than i expected from an asian buffet. The sushi was fresh and very well made and there was a very good selection. Everything from the requisite rolls to some excellent nagiri that the chefs were making as fast as we were eating. The hot food was also good. There was a nice variety of chicken dishes in all the normal flavors as well as some other intesting treats such as mussels, vegi salads, and other assorted meats, some of which were on sticks, which is always awesome. They have a hibachi that is include with the buffet that was serving up shrimp, chicken, and calamari. The calamari was a bit chewy but the taste wasn't bad at all. Everything else on the bar was very good. The desserts were a little below average from what i could tell. Some in our group compared the cheesecake to old tires if that means anything. keep in mind that this review is based on one visit. i'll visit again soon and update accordingly.

If I were hungry and I drove by a sign that reads "Lobster House Sushi & Habachi," I would have kept on driving. First, I think lobster is overrated and overpriced. Second, sticking the word "Sushi" between "Lobster House" and "Habachi" does not prompt me to think that this place has good sushi. As fate would have it, I was not the one picking the lunch venue on this particular day, and so we ended up here just the same. I was pleasantly surprised. The sushi selection is very tasty. I think there are a lot of people who, when they think of a good sushi buffet, think of all-you-can-eat sashimi, and try to cram down as much raw fish while skipping as much rice as possible, as if they need to get the most out of their money. If that's your speed, this place is not for you. If, on the other hand, your dining experience is more focused on taste rather than shoving the most expensive item on the buffet down, you are in for a treat. The sushi here is quite good. They have some unique roll combinations, and they seem to have learned the first rule of southern food: everything tastes better when deep fried. Taking a rainbow roll and deep frying it, for example, good. It's an interesting tasting experience trying all the rolls on the buffet. Their Udon soup is good, and has a spicy kick to it too. Now, this review may seem out of sync with the 3 stars I've given the place, but keep this in mind. Buffets with few exception automatically lose 1 point just by the nature of being a buffet. Buffet food is just not as fresh as food cooked to order, it's the nature of the beast. So for me, a 3 star review of a buffet place is pretty good, all things considered.

I dont live to far from this place. about 8 minutes. i had seen it being built and has since wondered what it was and if it might be any good. i dropped in last weekend with a friend of mine from out of town. we were both rather hungry and since it was really close and we had never been there we figured ehhhhh lets try it. the price isnt bad as long as u go for lunch. 10.99 for all u can eat buffet. sounds fine to me. i would say thats rite on par with most other buffets i have been to. so this place is deff. interesting. if i had to describe it i would say its kind of like an Asian version of Golder Coral... lol... i know that may sound strange or funny but it truly is. they have three buffet lines... two of random stuff like pork spare ribs or tereyaki chicken, even fried shrimp. and the third line is a sushi line. there is a pretty decent spread of types of sushi. i was not disappointed. not sure if they would make u one diff if u asked. i kind of wondered that myself because they didnt have my favorite roll. but no biggie im not to picky. the service here was great. very friendly very polite very quick. i am positive at one point my waitress came by and refilled my water without me even noticing. my friend and i had a good laugh about that. the food here is pretty on point for most asian restaurants.. i wouldnt say anything stood out to be spectacular, but everything was deff tasty that i tried. and i mean hey for the price, u cant beet if for all u can eat sushi. anyone who is a sushi lover knows that it can become expensive if u choose to have it as a meal. Oh. and also all there rolls looked nice. very well made. im one of those people who judges the way a roll looks before i try it. im sure there are others like me. so this place in my opinion gets three stars... it was good... not amazing nothing spectacular, but deff a good place to grab lunch if your really really hungry and maybe missed breakfast..

This is a tiny, tiny version of Nori Nori or Sydney's Buffet. They have a hibachi side where you can choose your meat and the chef will cook it to order, there is a regular Japanese fare including sushi, a Chinese section, and a tiny dessert section. For an additional $5 over dinner prices you also get an all-you-can-eat snow crab legs; and for $10 more, you get steamed whole lobsters. If you like buffets then try this one when you're in the area. The food is fresh but mediocre in taste. The selection is limited. The lobsters are smallish and taste rubbery. I'm not a big fan of buffets but you'll get a better value, selection and presentation at Nori Nori or Sydney's.

I've always thought this was just the most unfortunate and awkward name for a sushi place ever... I've only been here for lunch, and it's been just fine. Not spectacular, and not terrible - just fine. The service is good - very attentive staff. The food is good, not great - but good, and fresh. It's a buffet, and an extensive buffet at that. Nothing overwhelms me about this place - it's good, but that's about it. I wish I could say more about it, but "good" is all I have... You probably won't be disappointed here, but don't expect to be overwhelmed.

We accidentally came across this place, but were pleasantly suprised with the food! The atmosphere is golden corral style but with a full bar.... The waitstaff was pleasant. The place was clean. The big bang here for us was that $22 covered all the sushi, hibachi steak, salads, deserts AND crab legs. The food was all good no complaints at all. You can show up here in a comfy sweat suit eat great good! Very reasonable price for the quality and quantity.

This place, recently open in the long-abandoned former Bugaboo Creek location near the North Point Mall, is an odd but very useful addition to the food offerings in the area. For the normal price, you get access to a relatively decent, very roll-centered sushi buffet. You also get access to a buffet of crab legs, tempura, and some more chinese-food offerings. There is a "hibachi" chef who will cook you teriyaki to order. If you pay the extra fare, you get lobster. To be perfectly frank, I'm never going to do that, so I don't really care how good the lobster is. Technically speaking, the food here isn't really worthy of 3 stars. The sushi is pretty decent for a buffet, and the tempura shrimp are surprisingly good, but most of the rest of the offerings are either bland or just not that great. HOWEVER, given that there's nothing else quite like this in the area and given that I've been waiting forever for something to open in this location, I'm giving it the benefit of the doubt. We'll be back.

I went here with my girlfriend and her son yesterday. I am glad to see that something new has come into the long-abandoned Bugaboo Creek location here, but I was less than impressed by this location. I am honestly not sure what was going on the day Jessica was present. Perhaps they just had some sort of stellar day or something. It was definitely the exception, however, and not the rule. When my girlfriend and I came here, we found that the hibachi was fair and the buffet, in addition to being tiny, was also poorly stocked and the food wasn't that great. The bathroom stank of stale urine when I got in there, and could definitely have used a good thorough cleaning. The sweet tea was horrible. There were, however, two saving graces: 1. The service was prompt and friendly. 2. As noted above, the sushi was excellent. Their sushi was freshly prepared in the restaurant, and the fish was all good. They do tend to have a strong bias towards rolls, but they also seem to have a good selection of regular sushi as well. As a sushi noob myself, I would definitely recommend that if you haven't had sushi before and want to try it, you should come here to try it. This is definitely an inexpensive place to try various different types of sushi. If you haven't ever really had sushi, and therefore don't know what you like, they give you a good selection of different sushi to try, with no per-piece cost to do so. Overall, however, I was not impressed. It's nice to have more options, but it isn't a place I will regularly come to.

Sometimes I wish we could give half stars. Because this is a solid 2.5 stars. If my expectations had been a little higher or if I had visited on a date or anniversary I would be disappointed. Instead, I went during lunch $12.99 buffet(evidently this is a $2 increase from February according to Jason's review). They had hot items and a large selection of sushi. Some things they did very well. Especially the garlic shrimp. Oh and the service was excellent. My water was always topped off and the plate was always cleared before I returned from the buffet. Some things, like the chicken were either over tenderized or over cooked. But there are enough items there that you should be able to find something to eat. The broccoli tempura was awful, a thick oily glob of batter. The spring roll was filled with mushy rice or bean threads. I wouldn't want to pay dinner prices for this stuff. I saw a sign advertising a live lobster for $11.99 and all you can eat for $36.99. What I don't know is if you have to also purchase the buffet to get that price. I can't vouch for the Sushi, but it pretty much looked the same as the other Sushi Buffets around. Sorry, but I just can't get very excited about this place.

I went to this place with my husband when it was about to close and just newly opened (1 week). It was surprisingly good and love the fact that it used to be a Buckaboo (steakhouse) because it had the warm fire places all around and the 'not' so obnoxious typical asian decor of most Asian buffet places. The seafood was ok and so was the crab legs (little salty) as well as the hot bar and the salad/dessert bar. What impressed me the most was the SUSHI. It was tasty for a buffet and good. The option to get a mixed drink was a plus, too (they have a full bar). I like that!! The price is good and the atmosphere great for large groups. I only wish this place was closer to my home... BTW - we arrived 30 mins till closing and the staff was so pleasant and nice and did not rush us to get out.

This place gets four stars because I go here at least twice a month for lunch because during the week its cheap and the sushi is the best I've seen on almost every buffet for miles. But they do charge a substantial amount at lunch to upgrade to sashimi which I think is crazy. But the service is great and the food stays fairly consistant. For it being right up the road and my daughter being under 2 and eating for free. No complaints on the food itself!

Most people go here for the sushi buffet at lunch. I was skeptical at first but the sushi is really quite good. An enormous selection with the sushi chefs standing behind the buffet making it fresh constantly. A lot of different twists on sushi as one other had indicated. I counted over 30 varieties of sushi, mostly the sticky rice and fish variety. Other than sushi, they have several varieties of clams, mussels and shrimp along with some of the standard Chinese buffet stuff (avoid most of it. After all, you're here for the seafood). I liked the crawfish. The price is decent, and the food is, actually, pretty good, especially since most buffet food isn't. I'd recommend it. And, yes, they do have lobster on the buffet at night for around $32.

A former co-worker told me about this place and we met up there for lunch on a weekday. WOW! I've been to all-you-can-eat-sushi places before, but this one is different. The sushi was the "good stuff", not just the tiny-fish-and-vegies variety, and there was plenty of it, even at the height of the lunch hour. Not to mention the hot bar, the soup bar, the fruit and salad bar, and probably a dessert bar, although I was so full from two trips to the sushi bar that I never even made it to all the other stations. We liked: the sushi selection, the value of the meal, the convenience of getting in easily from GA-400, the friendliness of the hostess and wait staff, and the ability to go out for a nice lunch within an hour lunch break, due to the serve-yourself buffet format. Great find, and will definitely be back with him and/or more co-workers!

Sooo disappointing! I waited for months for this place to open and finally we went here for lunch with a couple of co workers...the hostess was soo rude! from that minute I was sorta flaky!!! Its all you can eat sushi and hibachi for like 12 bucks!! The sushi was alright but the rest of the food, was very disappointing. The hibachi was aweful, I had the shrimp hibachi and I think I make better hibachi shrimp at home then that! Definitely a disappointment and not going back here.

We went to this restaurant because of their appetizing yet deceitful television advertisements airing now. The ad showed video of hot and steaming snow crab legs, thick slices of fresh sashimi, variety of sushi rolls, and sizzling hibachi with the price of $8.99 buffet for lunch and $12.99 buffet for dinner. However, when we got to the restaurant, the servers told us that the "regular" buffet - which does not include the snow crab legs and the hibachi - was $12.99. If we wanted the crab legs and hibachi, the price would be $22.99. The buffet was set up on one side of the restaurant with one sushi table, one with desserts, one salad, one hot (lo mien noodles and such), and a hibachi grill area. I did not see any sashimi. There were a variety of sushi rolls: spicy tuna, spicy salmon, shrimp tempera, Alpharetta rolls, etc. They weren't the best quality but decent for a buffet. The lack of sashimi hit me the hardest. I was semi-sedated by the raw oysters, steamed shrimp, and the deep fried blue crabs. Although the oysters were tiny, they were still very well chilled and fresh. The shrimp were a nice size which compensated for the pain of peeling them. Their house cocktail sauce was interesting and I can definitely say that I've never had anything like it before. It wasn't delicious but it wasn't bad either. It sort of grows on you and before you know it, you're dipping a lot more. The hot bar didn't have much to offer but the few things I did enjoy were the manilla clams. The sauce wasn't overwhelming and it had a nice kick to it. The fish was also good (although I have no idea what type it was). At times, it was overcooked - which you can't help in a buffet. They also provided crawfish but it lacked flavor. The deep fried blue crabs were quite tasty. They were battered in a super salty salt-n-pepper flour combo and flash-fried. The shell on the blue crab is too thick to actually do this and have it come out well. The dessert bar provided little cakes here and there with a pan of creme brulee. The fruit was sad looking. The orange slices were nice but the canned pineapple chunks were not. They do have soups (miso & hot and sour) as well as scoopable ice cream, both of which I did not try. The cold salad bar was also one that I had no desire to engage; however, the vegetables looked fresh and crisp. The restaurant itself is very clean and provided a nice atmosphere. Very unlike a buffet place - center stone fireplace, LED tvs placed on all walls in the restaurant, clean wood floors, and importantly, clean restrooms. Our server was working in a team and they were great about clearing off the table of used plates and providing refills. The parking lot is nicely lit with plenty of parking. Even though we only went to the restaurant because of the advertisement, we still found good things about the food. As for whether it was worth the $12.99 is debatable. Definitely not worth it for $22.99. Overall, the experience was average.

This place is not bad for how much you pay....less than 10 bucks for a lunch buffet. Lobster house has a decent amount of sushi selections, but not anything special. The sushi is very typical like California rolls...... and philly rolls. The desserts and service is pretty good. However, I did see a huge bug when I went to get my ice cream...... that was a big turn off......

First of all let me say I'm a buffet kind of guy. I love having the option of changing my mind about what I want to eat while I'm eating. I have tried a lot of Chinese and seafood buffets in my 14 years of living in Atlanta. About 1 1/2 months ago, my wife told me a friend of hers recommended we try Lobster House Sushi & Hibachi so we decided to check it out. I can't say enough good things about this place, we both love it!!! We have been going there almost bi-weekly since we discover this seafood utopia!!! I would give this place 6 stars if I could but sadly I am limited to only 5 stars so that is the rating I am giving this wonderful seafood utopia. They have the larges and freshest crab legs in all of Atlanta and surrounding counties. Everything on their buffets is great, from their expertly rolled Sushi rolls to their large assortment of fresh quality seafood items. Also, their cooked to order Hibachi is some of the best I have had in Atlanta. I can't understand the so so and ok reviews some people have been giving this place. I think the price of $20.95 is more than fair for the quality and freshness of the seafood and other items on the buffet. If you love colossal crab legs and fresh cooked to order Hibachi you have got to try this place. They also have excellent drinks too...

This place is awesome!! The sushi is well prepared and always fresh. It wont be the top caliber sushi you would get at a higher end place, but it is tasty, and the selection is unbeatable. The hot Chinese section is slamming, with a very good selection. For $2.99 you can add all you can eat hibachi....well worth it. Once done with lunch/dinner, mosey on over to the all you can eat ice cream, or dive into the mini cakes, jello, or cream brulee. Service it really good! Great place.

The food here is OK nothing to rave about. the rice is bland and the sushi is just not as good as I expected....not bad, just ok. The price is reasonable. I may come back

This place is extremely budget-friendly for such a yummy fare. Stay away from the Hibachi, it's just cardboard-esque filler and the miso soup is more like heated water sans the soy, but the crab legs and sushi are so DELISH! The best part about this place is the fact that it is a buffet! Wootz. From udon noodles to freshly prepared sushi rolls - you can't go wrong with this perfect match of gluttony and your wallet.

[This review covers a dinner on Saturday at 6 p.m. Prices were $12.99 for the buffet, $3.99 up-charge for hibachi, $22.99 for crab legs, which includes buffet and hibachi.] Let's cut through the bad stuff. First, the inside is mostly a hold-over from the prior tenant, a failed Bugaboo Creek Steak House. So, there's a lot of wood on the walls. It does not look very "Asian." Second, the service is spotty. I won't go into the gaffes that were made, but let's just say you're at a buffet, so keep your expectations in line with that. I will say that our server was excellent about keeping drinks filled. Now, on to the good stuff. I do not eat sushi -- raw or cooked -- by my wife said the sushi was very good. Given that she is never wrong about anything (I don't enjoy sleeping on the couch very much), let the record reflect that "the sushi was very good." I liked the buffet, and I thought it was a fairly good value at $12.99. However, I did not think the up-charge for hibachi was worth it. The steak was mediocre, and the shrimp was just too sweet for my taste. Also, I thought the $3.99 up-charge was a little high relative to the unlimited buffet, but that was before I knew that hibachi foods were unlimited, too.Of course, I didn't really like the hibachi foods, so making them unlimited doesn't do much for me. (Sort of like the two women who are eating lunch together, one of whom complains about how bad the food is, then other says, "Yes, and such small portions!") Point being: Save your $3.99 and skip the up-charge. Chances are you will find plenty to enjoy at the buffet. My wife had the crab legs, and she thought they were great. I've seen places where you'd pay $22.99 just for unlimited crab legs, so to get crab legs, hibachi foods, and the buffet for the same price, well, that seems to be a good value, too. So, I guess my advice is to either go cheap-skate and get your money's worth with the $12.99 buffet, or go all-out and get the crab legs for $22.99. I did see they have a lobster option for $45.99 as well, and there were two gentlemen next to us positively slaughtering these crustaceans like they had just been removed from the endangered species list. Now THOSE guys were getting their money's worth! We'll be back.

I'm struggling to give it two stars. Went for lunch and was completely underwhelmed. I don't eat sushi, so I can't comment on the quality of that. The "hibachi" chicken was very standard, but the shrimp was downright gross. Those teeny tiny shrimp-like pieces of glassy undercooked "seafood" were horrible. The "Hot" buffet was like 6-8 dishes of the most standard to sub-par chinesey-buffety type food. And, of course, no other seafood or lobster at lunch! Don't go out of your way.

Im not ganna be a total snob about this place because i actually did enjoy it, its a massive buffet with hot food, a lot of fried food and everything in between, i love the stuffed crab and mussels. The sushi buffet is probably better than most sushi buffet for the price, the fish was fresh and there is a lot of options.. hibachi was ok.. but im really disapointed about the crab legs!! when we first started coming they had the best crab legs, and i dont know what happened but they've turned these suckers to tastless tough nasty crap! im so sad about this as i love crab legs! bo

Normally I like to list the pros and cons of the restaurant then give my final judgment at the end but with this restaurant, there really wasn't anything to rave about. The sign says Lobster House Sushi and Hibachi so naturally I thought they would have a hibachi grill to eat in front of. When I got in I realized it was a buffet with a small hibachi grill to the side, but I decided to try it anyways. The hostess led me to a table and refused to sit my friends and I in a booth stating that they had reservations, but who reserves a table at 4pm on a Monday? Our server was dry and gave us an extremely lengthy introduction to how everything worked leaving my friends and I thoroughly confused before he told me the best deal was to just do the buffet, which is what we did. The food was mediocre and a bit random. They had lasagna then chicken nuggets then crab legs then beef and scallops? The sushi tasted as if it had been left out for a while which had me a bit skeptical to continue eating it. The hibachi is by request only and after waiting 10 minutes he brought out a plate with 5 pieces of steak on it. When we got our check, we were shocked to see the bill. We had been charged about 30 dollars each excluding tip. When we asked the server about it he simply stated those were the prices. We asked for a manager and he replied that there wasn't one available? We had no choice, but to pay the bill and leave. Overall it was just a strange experience with mediocre service and food for an escalated price. I will not be back here again. My suggestion? Go to Nori Nori's down the street. The price, service, and food is significantly better. -A

I have been to this place multiple times. And yes, it should be called something sushi instead because that is the best thing on their buffet. I like that it has a huge variety of sushi and a great cost. As for the lobster and the hot bar I don't go bonkers over. The hibachi is cooked to order and is always very flavorful. It's great for large groups too, the service is great and they have a private room if needed. It's one of the better "Grand Asian" buffets that I've been too.

You know it's not quality sushi when its drenched in sauce overtop. But hey, you get what you pay for. Can't beat 8.99! The salad, soup, and Chinese food selections are pretty decent. I don't find a problem with the food offered at this place. Although they offer a variety of different sushi rolls, I cannot comprehend that fact that all of them taste nearly the same. I've been here about 3 times now, and I'm not sure if I would visit again.

I call this place - Lobster House, All you Can Eat lobster & seafood buffet (no lobster). I went there for lunch and they have a decent chinese buffet, with sushi, and wait for it... no lobster. I find it hard to get over a place called the lobster house advertising a lobster buffet and you can't get lobster. Ok ok I get that you can get lobster at dinner, for extra, but this still seems like a bait and switch for the whole lunch offering I actually got. The sushi was decent, but unless you are a hawk staring at the sushi buffet and leaping to action as soon as it comes out you are left sushi-less as it all disappears within 7.5 seconds. Overall, the food is actually decent. If it was Chinese, bonus sushi if you are lucky, no lobster House, then I would have gotten another star. But I still want my lobster.

I would say 2.5 stars but, alas, I can't give half stars. I really like lobster house, but ever since they started the $8.99 lunch deal, it just hasn't been the same. The sushi is still good, but not as good as it once was. You have to pay extra for the hibachi now, which is not a huge deal for $1.99, but isn't really worth paying extra for, to be honest. They replaced half their hot bar with a blah salad bar. I'm a fan of salad bars, just not this one. I just feel like they dumped everything directly from a bag, which for $8.99 what do you expect really? I usually skip it. For $8.99 my boyfriend and I come here to eat A.U.C.E. sushi and that's about it. Although, I do indulge in the hot bar for some pot stickers, vegetables and salt and pepper chicken. They do have really good drink specials throughout the week and the bar area looks cool. You can order off of a regular menu but I've never tried it.
