What a hidden gem for Citrus Park. The food is amazing, as are the drink prices. It is a super friendly neighborhood bar that will greet you by name on the second visit. The bartenders and servers work hard, and it is evident. The food is in the top five for the area (not even for a bar, in general) It is family oriented, but a great bar to stop by for sports. Good clientele. A+

We tried Winners after a recommendation from a neighbor. It is the cleanest "dive"-type bar I have ever been in. It is a great atmosphere with a lot of TVs. The food is excellent and the prices are reasonable. We will definitely be back again for the daily specials!

They have kapusta! They call it heel and cabbage soup but it is the same thing! The deep fried mushrooms are superb but of small quantity. The pretzel bun burger is the best with high quality juicy beef dripping in fine deliciousness! Staff is friendly and helpful. Not the fastest service at times. Keep in mind the atmosphere is bit divey but comfortable. And the desserts are homemade.

This is a good place to eat and the beer is cheap so there are no complaints here. If you are looking for a Beef O'Brady's atmosphere with more eclectic food, Winners is for you the food is not seasoned but the sauces are awesome. Even the battered fish need salt and pepper until they were paired with tartar or malt vinegar, which they provide upon request. The wings were cooked well and the sauce was good which made us happy since they are cooked to within an inch of their life at Beef's half of the time. The kid's grilled cheese was on Texas toast rather than white bread and looked so good I wanted a bite. Try the Buffalo tots which are tutor tots topped with buffalo chicken strips, mozzarella, and Ranch. I'm going to make them at home after trying them here.

I love this place, have been coming in here for over 10 years, food is excellent, service is great and friendly staff, unlike other sports bar that are in the surrounding area! Can't wait for your new location to open up, keep it up Winners!

I frequented this establishment years ago when it first opened, WOW what a change. The decor is ahhh & hasn't changed, but the menu sure has! There was yellow fin on the Specials menu & pecan pie. This is no longer, just a pub, with some grub, it has really elevated it's standards! I couldn't resist & ordered the 2 chili cheese dogs on pretzel rools. The Dawgs were grilled & crispy. The chili was hearty & not very spicy. There was plenty of real pepper jack cheese & I added diced onions. Beautiful plate, the pretzel buns were a bit too salty for my taste, but the dawgs, pure heaven! At first I thought I would have to take one home, but I powered through. The fries were perfect. Crispy outside, soft , but still meaty inside and not greasy. This little gem is on Anderson Road, just South of Gunn. It is in the North West plazza, with Honey Baked Ham& Publix. The menus ranges from appetizers to meals to desserts and everything inbetween. The daily specials don't appear to be thrown together with leftover, but seem to be well thought out menu selections. Way to go & way to grow! My food looked so appetizing that the man that sat next to me had to order it. This establishment has a very friendly atmosphere and you feel right at home. I sat and ate at the bar, as I often tend to prefer & their was plenty of lively conversation. Being a female I was out numbered 8 to 1 by men. No not the young hipsters, more of an older crowd. We had plenty of hot air blowing around, LOL. Try it you'll like it. Usually restaurants get worse with the years & this one has definitely raised the bar of food quality& variety, while keeping prices reasonable. What's a girl to do? If you can't handle hot air, get outside!

Delicious. I am lucky this is close to my house. The prices are perfect for blue collar Citrus Park. Lots of TVs. Very friendly atmosphere.

I really regret not having come here for lunch more often. I had lunch at Winners a couple years ago and was not extremely impressed at the time, but I am so glad I decided to try it again. For being a sports bar, these folks can make some good food. The server was very nice and helpful with recommendations. The homemade seafood chowder was great and the fried redfish sandwich on the specials board really exceeded my expectations. The fish was not greasy whatsoever and was cooked perfectly. Not to mention it was freaking huge! I have spent twice as much at over-hyped seafood places throughout Tampa Bay on fish sandwiches that weren't even half as good as this one. In all honesty, I feel like I should have paid a few dollars more. I really hope Winners gains in popularity over the large chains in the area. The only negative factor is that they aren't located closer to my home.

I live in Citrus Park and was so upset it took me almost a year and a half to come here. If you like a good sports bar with amazing food and beer deals this is the place for you. 4 made from scratch soups daily proves in itself they know food. But literally everything I have ate there is good for a restaurant no less a bar. Quality food with quality prices.

contrary to the other reviews, we had a terrible lunch 10/9/14. arrived around 2 pm and ordered chicken fajita wrap and Rueben with fries. each half wrap had 4-6 pieces of warmed up frozen chicken. no way it was fresh and the broccoli was hard as a brick. the French fries were decent. hard to mess those up. the sandwich was light on the meat and the taste only so-so. the tab was $ 25 including tip and I felt that it was a complete waste of money. btw: I write about 1 yelp review a year - I rarely, if ever, take the time to do this but can't stand it when restaurants throw some junk on a plate and expect consumers to not say anything. I didn't say anything at the restaurant because we didn't want to create a fuss or get the manager involved - he was installing a TV set and barely looked at us. we went next door to publix and got some chicken and rice from the deli for $ 7 each and was triple the taste of winners. 813 227 8575 if winners wants to call.

Came in for a quick bite. Stood at the door for 5 minutes before seating myself and kids. Place wasn't too busy for a Saturday afternoon. Never served and ended up leaving.

Greasy spoon. Everything tasted like it was cooked in yesterday's oil. Stick to beer and salad. Not a good choice to eat at.

Time for an update -- Winners Sports Grill is my favorite little neighborhood sports bar / diner, and you'll find them in the Publix shopping center at the corner of Anderson Road and Gunn Highway. Winners sits in the corner near the Honeybaked Ham Store, and tucked behind the Subway which can be seen from Gunn Highway. I've been coming here for well over five years, and this is one of my first-choices whenever I need something for dinner but don't feel like cooking. Even though Winners is primarily a sports bar with a full liquor bar and dozens of bottled beers in their two coolers, along with wine and several beers on tap, they also serve a surprisingly good menu as well. The owner has worked in the kitchens of many well-known restaurants here in the Tampa Bay area, and he has brought his cooking skills and restaurant managerial experience to this place. The menu has the traditional burgers, wraps, wings, sandwiches, salads, and bar appetizers that you would expect, but they also serve NY strip steaks cooked to order, ribs, shrimp, fettuccini alfredo, and a fabulous veal roast to name a few. The soups, salad dressings, and wings sauces are all made fresh and in-house. As you walk up to the front door there is a "specials" board sitting outside which lists the three different homemade soups, appetizer specials, and the daily entrée special. Each day of the week also has it's own daily special including the wings platter on Mondays, Louisiana Fish Fry on Tuesdays and Thursdays (you can order the fish fried, blackened, or grilled), Wednesdays are $6 burgers (your choice from the different types on the menu), and Fridays are the BBQ rib tips platter. These specials come with two sides which can include a fresh salad, soup, or many of the standard sides that you'd find in a diner. Most menu selections are priced at about $10 or less, and the dinner specials are under $15. I generally sit at the bar and visit with the very friendly bartenders and the owner while I eat, but they also have tables and booths located all around the restaurant with waitress service. Winners is very casual, and when they're busy they will tell you to just sit anywhere and they'll be with you shortly. Don't feel like you have to order a beer when you sit at the bar -- they normally have a diet soda ready for me, and the refills are always free. TVs are everywhere, and Robert will gladly dial up a particular game if you want to follow your team. When the Rays or Buccaneers are playing the place is a madhouse, and there are rumors of free beer when the home team scores. If you're a regular at Winners make sure that you sign up for their Rewards card program which gives you points against the cost of your bill. Those points can be exchanged for gift cards and free food! Also, they have a text messaging program where they push out electronic discount coupons to their regulars. This is very much a neighborhood sports bar -- they get to know your name very quickly, and you'll be surrounded by other regulars in no time.

Casual place Food is okay, But service there is always disappointing. When ever my friends and I go we usually have a group of 6-12 people. Our waitress always seems to be lazy and rude. I've said it before I'll say it again "If you don't like your job and are not going to do it right, Find another job!" They need new staff asap. Other then that its a descent place

My husband cannot get enough of their wings--garlic and teriyaki mixed and extra crispy..he is never disappointed. I recently started trying some of their other wing sauces and they are all GREAT too.

Hands down, great food!!!! This is my favorite bar in the area. Also sometimes there is a guy who looks like Bret Farve that comes in. I think it may actually be him. One time I met some friends there and it was fun. Derrick Brooks came in once, I guess NFL Hall of Famers got to eat too. I like to think he enjoyed his food. I'll probably go again in a few days.

We found this place completely by accident and boy are we glad we did! Food here is cooked to order and very good. Try the sumo wings if you dare, they're just like we like them, hot hot hot (not Florida hot) If you're lucky enough to get there when they have their cream of chicken soup on special it's not to be missed. Their chicken sandwiches are grilled (really) and are so tasty. Plenty of food for little money and a full bar, what else do you need?
