I took the family to a late lunch at Longhorn Steakhouse at 1:30 and we ordered about ten minutes later. At 2:30 we had no food. The Manager came to our table at 2:40 and told us our food would be out shortly. At 2:55 we decided to leave without eating. It is now 3:20 and my kid is enjoying her subway sandwich. No more Longwait Steakhouse for us!!!!

Great prompt service. Ordered porterhouse for two, cooked perfectly to a medium, table side steak sauce was delicious. Atmosphere casual, not too loud. Clean dining room, bar, bathroom.

I've eaten here twice and they overcooked my steak both times while both times my partners was perfect. We Both got the same cut of meat and had them requested to be prepared the same, medium rare. Both times I went it was VERY busy but they had no problem redoing my steak and once they even took it off the bill. They get 5 stars for making everything right and everything was really, really delicious and the big blue moons kept my busy while they flew my new steak(s). I wonder though, if maybe you should go one temperature under you usual taste because I'm not a fan of waste or waiting. Consider my review a tip and not a reason to avoid a yummy steak in an area full of overpriced steakhouses - this one should get the job done and your belly full!

So normally I'm not a big fan of chain restaurants, but steakhouses are one area that I make an exception. Casual places like this are ideal for a) people like myself with kids under 6, and b) people like myself who have neither the time nor desire to get all dressed up and make getting a steak a big event. As we were out in the course of our day/evening/life, I wanted prime rib so we pulled into here. I've seen the commercials, but have never been here until last Saturday night. We were greeted by a bit of a wait, but it wasn't anything ridiculous or unbearable and were later shown to our seats. The place was very clean and in order. The menu had lots of choices, and we ended up getting the shrimp and lobster dip for an appetizer, French onion(her) and baked potato(me) soups, Caesar salads(included), prime rib(me), the sirloin(her), and ribs(the little one). I wasn't thrilled by any of their beer options(I'm pretty picky, so don't hold that against them) so I went without. All of the food was good! The meats were juicy and delicious, and the portions were quite adequate. We took a few leftovers home. Our total came to $80 even, including a generous tip(over 20%), so dinner for 3 didn't break the bank. Our server was on top of it all as it flowed out timely and our orders were correct despite the place being pretty busy. We liked the variety on their menu as a lot of other things looked and sounded really good. I'm pretty sure that we will be back here again.

Finally got a chance to stop my and glad we did. The parking lot was pretty big so we found a spot easily which was nice. The inside was roomy and decorated nicely and very clean. We sat at the bar and ordered cheese fries and the ribeyes. I loooooove ranch and longhorn has the bomb dot com ranch. Funny enough since this I have only been buying ribeyes to grill out lol. The staff was friendly and our drinks were tasty. Looking forward to trying some of the other steak selections to see what I can get hooked on next!

A Saturday night visit to burn a gift card produced basically the same outcome as my previous visit almost four months ago. Food is good, service is attentive, pricing seems reasonable across the board and the room is just absolutely dead. And it is without any life even when the place is at about 75% capacity. Seriously, is this the Longhorn concept? I've never been any other location, so I would not know if this is what they want. However, I've had plenty of experiences at casual dining places in my adult life and rarely observe such a lack of energy. There is definitely something to be said for having a calm, quiet dinner with someone but this place sucks the life of you so much that we both just went home immediately afterwards on a Saturday night without any reason to get up early the next morning. And it wasn't like I ate too much. I was really happy with my smoky bacon sirloin, but it wasn't like a quality six ounces of red meat and some mashed potatoes normally drags me down.

I love going to Longhorn for apps with my girlfriends, they seem to have sumin for everyone. Their service is always good and the food is always hot and delicious. This is a new restaurant, I think they have been open about a year and it is a nice space. Their is ample parking, because it is in a shopping plaza with 2 other restaurants and a variety of stores. One thing I like is that their is nice searing inside if there is a wait. We ordered apps: spicy chicken bites, kettle chips, and a couple of is ordered burgers and they were delicious. I highly recommend the kettle chips. I am not a fan of hard chips as I cal them, but these were delicious. And they come with 2 dipping sauces, a BBQ and the tangy one that usually comes with the onion tangles. They were not too salty and warm. I give this restaurant 4 stars because I think their staff needs to do a little bit better of a job keeping the restaurant clean. When we got to our table, the floor underneath was dirty with food and straws. This should be part of the cleanup as the clean and prep tables for the next guests.

Take the Seasoning away from the Chef!!! S/he ruined two good pieces of meat by putting way too much seasoning on two different steaks on Friday, September 4th. All you had was a burning sensation because of how spicy hot the food was. It was impossible to get the taste of the meat, which is why you order steak in the first place. Look back at my reviews, and you'll see this is not the first time I've had this complaint with this particular LongHorn. It is no rocket science to fix this issue, but if you don't fix it, it will become rocket science to figure out how to get me to back in this restaurant!

This new restaurant is large, lovely and lively and a welcome change from the somewhat forlorn former North Dale Mabry location that previously served South Tampa. Another plus? The plus-sized parking lot that is a communal surface lot for the nearby Olive Garden restaurant and other businesses but it is still quite ample, a rarity these days in this area. The staff seemed to be quite capable, particularly our server, Caleb. They "meeted," greeted and seated us promptly, really meeting our expectations. Pacing was fairly smooth but there was a little lag in the food delivery. However, given the restaurant has not been open long, it was a Saturday night and the place was packed, that is to be expected. The bar looked inviting but we went directly to our table. Despite the constant flow of diners arriving and departing, the noise level was never too loud. The restaurant decor has a touch of cowboy charm to it but the dark woods and subdued lighting gives it a little bit of glam as well. Dishes enjoyed at our table ran the gamut from chicken to steak to salmon. All seemed more than up to snuff in terms of temperature, presentation, portion and tastiness.

As far as the franchise steak houses , this appears to be the best in Tampa. Outback is God awful...each time I went there it got worse in terms of the quality of food and incompetent and rude management. Longhorn is definitely a notch above in food quality and ambience. It's a pleasing environment in which you feel that you have dined out. BTW ask for Lexie she is the BEST!!!

Please note this review is based on the bar only. Longhorn Steakhouse has stepped it up with its relocation to the Westshore area. There are some heavy hitters around here (Fleming's, Ruth Chris, Roy's) but Longhorn can most certainly hold their own. I love the decor of the new location and the parking lot is easy to get in and get out of. The new neighborhood is much better and not so seedy. I decided to show up early at the restaurant prior to a Yelp event being held here last Tuesday. I needed a drink after a long day of meetings. I was just in time too, I still had about half an hour until Happy Hour was over. I was pleased when I arrived to discover Longhorn's great Happy Hour menu with beer, wine, cocktails, and appetizers ranging from $3 to $5. This made me happy. Very happy, indeed. I found a seat at the end of the bar where I could keep to myself and unwind. The bar was fairly busy. Glen and the other gentleman bartender assisted me right away and I ordered a Cosmo Sunset. The Cosmo Sunset is Longhorn's take on a Cosmopolitan. Except, in addition to the vodka, it is made with orange, lemon, and lime juice, and a splash of pomegranate. It was very delicious, and the fact it was only $5 made it even more appealing. So much for keeping to myself and unwinding, I chose a seat next to Mr. Chatty McChatterson who was also playing the role of Mr. Drunky McDrunkerson for the evening. It astounds me to this day that people still cannot read body language and this guy would not take the hint. Glen was very attentive and concerned because he thought that Drunky McDrunkerson was bothering me. My Cosmo Sunset was delicious and I ordered a second one. Glen had it made for me in a matter of minutes. I was able to finish the second one just in time for my Yelp event. Later in the evening, I spoke with BA, one of the Longhorn managers. I expressed my appreciation for Glen and his genuine concern for me at the bar. It turns out that Glen has been an asset to Longhorn Steakhouse for almost twenty years! Twenty years working for the same restaurant in the hotel/restaurant industry is normally unheard of. Glen loves his job and it genuinely showed, not with just me, but with all his patrons at the bar. The Happy Hour menu has a myriad of choices to satisfy everyone. The great prices, good drinks, and tasty appetizers combined with the superb customer service/Glen makes this bar, a bar to definitely come back to.

I can honestly say that this place had the best steak I've ever eaten. Not because of the quality - I'm an uncultured heathen - but because of the descriptions of each cut that help you decide what meal would be best for you. I felt happy with the meal because I knew exactly why it tasted like it did. Also, their seafood dishes are amazing. The cajun rice tastes authentic. And the server was so friendly and helpful! All in all, an awesome experience.

Would've been five stars if the service was better. Ordered the steak salad and chicken tenders. Steak salad was amazing and the chicken tenders were just as incredible. Fries are pretty damn good too. However, I called to pick up at 12:10, was told my order would be ready in 20 minutes, arrived exactly at 12:30 and didn't walk out til 12:50. Took 20 minutes to pay and pickup my order. Not acceptable. Granted, the bartender was busy (have to pickup to go at the bar), but they could've had someone else expedite. Keep in mind, if you go there for lunch, be prepared to wait. Other than that, very nice restaurant and the food was very, very good.

What a difference a new location makes! LongHorn Steakhouse used to occupy a corner lot on Dale Mabry about a mile north of I-275. Unfortunately the neighborhood had seen better days, and the same was true for the restaurant. The property seemed tired and lackluster, and it was time for a change. Enter the NEW LongHorn Steakhouse located at the corner of West Shore Boulevard and Spruce Street, just south of International Plaza. This new restaurant is located right on the corner in the same shopping center that houses The Container Store, Olive Garden, Pei Wei, and the AT&T store. Thankfully there is a large, open community parking lot for all of these businesses, so parking is not a problem. This new location for LongHorn feels very open and welcoming. The decorations around the restaurant are typical Texan Cowboy, and they seem to work well in this environment. The staff is extremely friendly, and I was greeted and seated within moments, and the server was at my table shortly thereafter to take my drink order. Yes, LongHorn is a chain restaurant owned by the Darden Restaurant Group, but they do a great job with grilled steaks, fish, and chicken. The lunch menu is filled with many of your familiar favorites including appetizers that can be paired up as small plates, soups and salads, burgers, steakhouse sandwiches, lunch-sized entrées of grilled steaks, bourbon-glazed grilled salmon, parmesan-crusted grilled chicken, baby back ribs, and so on. The dinner menu has many of the same selections, but the portions are larger, and they've added even more seafood, chops, chicken, ribs, and steaks to your options. For lunch I ordered one of their combos with a burger and a cup of soup, and was able to enjoy their black & bleu burger with French onion soup. Everything tasted great, and the food was served promptly. I thought that everything was fairly priced, and so no complaints from me. Since I'm a fan of the grilled steaks at LongHorn I'll definitely be back to this new location.

The horns weren't nearly as long as they should have been, however this chain has a few links left in it.( picked from the corn fields of cornytopia) Had the roasted garlic. It made me fart. I dig the horn. Especially this location.

Excellent experience. Our server was super friendly and attentive. Both of our steaks were cooked exactly how we ordered them; medium. All of the sides and salads were fresh and flavorful. I know this is a chain but this location was dialed in last night. Can't find a single fault... Everything was 5 stars!

We went to the new location on Westshore and I have to say it is really nice. You fel like your in Texas when in here. They did a really nice job on this location. The only thing that was not so good was the time for our food to come out to us. We waited about 45 mins for our lunch. Oh and something happened and there was a power outage for about 30 seconds. But, that was nothing they could have helped. I will be back for sure. The food is amazing.

Usually love it. Worst service ever at the bar. 2 bartenders in the weeds. No offer for a drink, no silver wear with food, no offer for bread, asked for my check so, took 18 minutes. 1 hour 15 for a steak salad and water. Hire a third person food was good.

I was not impressed. I was expecting more from this new location, but I was so disappointed. The service was fair and I say that because management tried to correct the matter of my food, which had not been cooked to order. I had eaten at longhorn before (not this location) and enjoyed my meal and drink. The steak was under cooked (for me), the baked potato was overcooked and tasted old. The drink was potent, whatever it was. It was not the margarita I asked for, I think they were trying to compensate for the meal. I don't know. anyway I had never paid so much for a meal and did not enjoy it.

I would never know this was a Longhorn Steakhouse except for the sign out front. The decor, cleanliness, and service far exceeded all expectations. The food, was cooked to perfection, and presentation was excellent. It appears the manager and staff take a lot of pride in the restaurant. Prices were good. Try it, you will be pleasantly surprised!

Beautiful restaurant conveniently located for travelers staying near tampa international airport. I took my mother and aunt for dinner and we were thrilled with our perfectly cooked steaks and friendly, attentive waiter! The great price was icing on the cake...

Not the best 2nd time around. First time I came to this location was later in the afternoon and I'm hard to please, but it was 5 star that day. Second trip and probably last, wasn't all that good. This was about 4 pm and business was slow. Only saw one couple in entire seating area. Had to wait to be seated because no one was at the door. A cleanup staff sat us. The bread brought to the table wasn't fresh. Maybe a spoonful size center of bread was soft. Asked for a medium cooked ribeye and received well-done. Asked for green beans and got cauliflower. Waitress took back cauliflower and within minutes, brought green beans. Sadly, the green beans were not fresh and tasted old from lunch time. Due to how the establishment seats, based on waitress availability (guessing); we were seated right next to one other person. Could have gave us some spacing, at least a few tables away? My opinion, need to hit up this restaurant when they are busy and attentive to the meal request. When it's slow, the quality of food isn't on par. Good luck.

I have given a lot of thought about writing a review about a restaurant visit. I finally decided to write one because I am extremely disappointed. My family and me used to go very frequently to Longhorn when it was located on dale mabry hwy. W loved their food and customer service. Today was our first time coming to the new location on westshore blvd... first and probably last. WHen we were seated @ our table, the host never said hello, or your server will be right with you, but I thought it was because they were having a busy night although we didnt have to wait @ all to be seated. The server, Carla, was anything but friendly and customer service driven. She came, introduced herself, asked what we would like to drink, and if we were ready to order an appetizer. I already knew what we wanted, but I felt like she wwas rushing things. We had only been sitting @ the table for less than 2 minutes. She never came back to check on us, just to pick up the dirty dishes, and did not even ask if it was okay to take them away. when she brought the check, she placed it on top on the bread basket, what kind of restaurant etiquette is that? I know longhorn is not a fancy restaurant @ all, but I just thought that was completely unacceptable. For the food, I have mixed opinions. Everytime we have gone, we have asked for the Wild West shrimp as a starter. It was pretty good, as always. All three of us asked for salad as one of the sides, it came too early, and barely had any dressing on. I had the renegade sirloin with mashed potatoes. the steak tasted delicious but i could have made better mashed potatoes at home. my mother had the same kind of steak but with the loaded potato- she was not impressed at all by it. My boyfriend had the hand-battered shrimp with mashed potatoes as well. the shrimp batter was bitter, and the shrimp was not juicy @ all. we were so upset we didnt even stay for dessert. I am really sorry for this place because it is in a great location, and the place looks very nice, and clean. It wasnt very busy for a saturday night, i guess that says a lot!!! probably not coming back, unless i hear they make big changes, and send their waiters and waitresses to customer service school!

While the food was great, the service was lackluster. I don't care if the food was the best thing since sliced bread, service comes first. I ordered a rib eye and shrimp, and it wasn't half bad. I waited 20 minutes for my food and ten minutes for my check, I actually asked for a box and that took a million years. (Just a note, the place was SLOW.) I just left before she showed back up. If you have patience, go here. If not, this place isn't for you.

Absolutely the best dining experience I've ever had! The environment was great! Old fashioned but classic feel to it. I loved the different dining areas and the exclusivity that we had. It had a very romantic vibe! Our waiter was amazing, amazing, amazing. The food, delicious! And totally worth every penny. We headed up to the dessert room, basically a seperate restaurant just for desserts and coffees, upstairs after we finished all the courses! Bern's Cappuccino was recommended, and was delicious, but just a bit too strong for me but great for Kaluah drinkers! We had the sampler of desserts, it was a perfect finish to a fantastic meal. Would come back again and again if we lived closer! Highly recommended. Worth the cost!
