We came here because there was a 45 minutes wait at Ted's and decided we would try Texas Roadhouse. I ordered the pulled pork dinner without noticing that it doesn't come with buns to make a sandwich which was disappointing, however it was pretty good so I wasn't too mad. My mother got a 10oz steak ordered medium well smothered with onions and peppers and the steak was less than a quarter inch thick. Needless to say the steak was not cooked medium well but instead very well done and so tough that she could barely eat it. She paid $17 for a meal that wasn't even edible, and the person next to us had to send his steak back because it wasn't cooked right either. I will never come back nor recommend this place, the only reason it got two stars is because the pulled pork was good.

Best in town, fresh cut steaks. Made from scratch recipes. Nothing compares. Meals are portioned great for the prices, always have left overs. Call ahead seating is a plus and I never have a wait.

I've always had great service here. Tonight I tried to eat a bit healthy (besides the two awesome yeast rolls dipping in that special butter) and ordered the grilled chicken salad. It was very good and humongous. I can't wait to go back for another.

Salty. Salty. Salty. We ordered fried pickles as an appetizer. They were over cooked and extremely salty. I asked the waitress if that was normal, I didn't want to complain. The manager soon came over to let us know they were removed from our ticket. That was so nice and unexpected!! Our sides were great (mashed potatoes and veggies) but Our entrees unfortunately weren't any better than the appetizer. My husband and I both ordered the chicken fried steak. It was so salty that I couldn't even eat it! I was going to say something but the table behind us was expressing their dismay not so nicely so we just paid our bill and left. I do think the manager would have tried to make up for it so that is the only plus. I was just so put off that I wasn't interested in trying anything else.

We like the food at Texas Roadhouse and go to the restaurant between 4 and 5 o'clock because it's not crowded and it's quieter because it's not crowded. Not so last night. I do not like country western music on a good day, but when you have to yell to the person across the table from you just to be heard over the music, it's ridiculous. When we were seated, we were asked when we last came? I guess it will be even longer before we forget how noisy it was and go back.

I love this place...ever since it opened my husband and I just keep on coming back. Service, food and overall experience is always great. I would rather come here anytime better than Outback..

On July 28, 2015, we were traveling and stopped in Tallahassee for two days to visit with our son. This particular night we chose to order take out from Texas Roadhouse. First I must complement the young lady who took my order for her helpfulness and courtesy. She helped in getting my order exactly the way I needed it to be without seasoning on my Dallas Fillet and a plain potato without salt on the outside. My spouses Fort Worth Ribeye and my fillet was cooked as ordered medium rare. We so appreciated a nice meal from a very professional wait staff.

I came here for my birthday, with my family. As soon as you walk in, you can chow down on some roasted peanuts and rolls. Rolls are phenomenal. My server was very nice and didn't screw up our orders. My fried chicken and gravy was very good, I'll be back for sure.

Best steak for the money in Tallahassee. So much to love about this place, but if for nothing more then a great steak this place is it. We come here often and are never dissappointed. Word of warning. Monday nights are kids nights so the place is overflowing with little ones. We usually don't come then.

Love this chain and so glad it is here in Tallahassee. Our last visit was for Mother's Day, as my mother-in-law likes the restaurant. We were wise, getting there as the doors opened, and avoided the rush. As we were a table of 6, we were seated promptly and the service was fantastic, as usual. The visit was very good, aside from having to send my pork chops back. They had a chemical taste to them and they looked as though they had been cooked with weights on them. The replacements tasted great as they normally do, but again, the chops were squished due to being cooked with weights. Not really a big deal, but as an old restaurant guy, I wish they would knock that off. Would not usually mark a star off of an establishment that has been great in the past, but last visit they pulverized my son's kid cheeseburger sliders. They replaced them happily, but 2 incidents in two visits is worth a mention. Honestly, two small issues aside, we really need to eat here more. The food is fantastic, service is great and the price is hard to beat.

Omg, I'm so disappointed on why this doesn't have 5 stars! This place is my favorite place in tallahassee! Good steak, good prices. My go to meal is the prime rib (medium). I have also had the sirloin which is just as good, but I would splurge on the prime rib because it's SSOO good! The staff here is also really great and accommodating. If you want prime rib, you can call ahead and they'll put one aside for you. I just absolutely love this place! Will definitely keep going back

Went for lunch on a Friday. Food was excellent & there was plenty. The server Aubrey, provided the absolute best service we've had in a long time. Chicken fried steak was better than Cracker Barrel & may be best ever. The occasional line dance by the servers was entertaining. We will be back often.

EVERYTHING is good here. From the service to the rolls with cinnamon butter to the steaks and baked potatoes to the LOADED sweet potatoes and even the green beans are good.

Had the sirloin for the first time. Cooked perfectly and awesome flavor. I know that I always get great food and service here. Yes, I'm a TR regular and for good reason. Hint: if you can sit at the bar you will get superb service AND no waiting for seating.

Favorite restaurant in town. Steak is cooked just right and I love the bread. I always ask for Anthony when I go. Highly recommend him and this restaurant!

Update: we went back because I was craving meat. I decided I wanted to try the pork sandwich. My sweetie had raved about it the last time we were there. Boy, was he ever right. I had the sandwich with one side of applesauce. Forget the bun, just eat the pork, folks. While the bun was fresh and perfectly toasted, I set the top aside to taste the meat. It was moist, tender, melt-in-your-mouth delicious. It was very lightly sauced, and I would have liked a bit more of their mildly spicy-sweet barbeque sauce. Otherwise, this was a perfectly delicious sandwich that just fell apart in my mouth. I did not eat the bread, I just ate the pork. The TR is using a cut of pork that has the right fat to meat ratio, and this was not dry in the least. It also had an excellent pork flavor that came through with the sauce. Another winner. We have not had a disappointing meal yet. At this rate, my vitamin levels may improve...

My husband and I were taking our children (3 yr old and 4 month old) to visit the grandparents in Tuscaloosa. We treated everyone to dinner at the Roadhouse. It had been a busy day and we got there right around 6:30 pm. The parking lot was full and the restaurant super busy. As we are pulling into the restaurant, my toddler had an accident in his pants. We were seated quickly and did not have to wait. My toddler then threw up on his and my husband's clothes. Luckily my husband had another hoodie, but we were out of spare toddler clothes. Justin, our waiter, quickly found a toddler Roadhouse t-shirt and handed it to is free of charge. He then quickly served our drinks and bread. Justin saved our evening with his quick and kind service. Our good came out rather quickly and it was delicious. My husband's steak was cooked perfectly. My vegetable plate was hot and yummy. Despite being as busy as they were, our service was never lacking. It was a bit loud where we were sitting, but that might be somewhat expected. The waitresses danced to a couple of songs which we found very entertaining. My toddler wanted to join them.

This is a lunchtime review. The place was packed but my wait was less than 10 minutes. I started, like always, with a cup of their amazing chili topped with onions and cheese. It is always consistently good. I opted for a lunch special @ $7.99 of country fried sirloin and mashed potatoes. Nice sounding comfort food! I got the brown gravy on my potatoes and the cream gravy on my steak. Next time, brown gravy. Save the cream gravy for county fried chicken. It was good, but brown would have been a better choice for me. You could also order sirloin, grilled pork chop 1/3 slab of RIBs for the same price with one side. Lunch sandwiches and burgers are available for $6.99 with steak fries along with a couple chicken baskets. My server Senol, was attentive without being an imposition. This is the first time at lunch - all others have been dinner and also the first time I saw the line dance by the wait staff! Fun!

Went to Tallahassee to visit our daughter for graduation from the law enforcement academy. Took her out for dinner. What a disappointment! We all ordered steak - 2 medium and 1 medium rare - all 3 came medium well after a long wait. The service was slow and even though we were seated right away, we waited more than 1/2 hour for our dinner.

Started off the night by calling ahead to ensure a table for 9 guests would be readily available. Upon arriving, we waited for an hour and a half for one of the only 2 tables set up for large groups. It took them 30 minutes to then clean the table and seat us. Apparently they were having a bad night because the servers were very slow. To compensate with the long wait, they gave us free appetizers. The appetizers were overcooked, overly salted and were brought out before the servers had even remembered to bring our silverwear. They messed up our orders when plating out entrées and it was chaotic to say the least. The blessing was that management gave our meal for free. My family and I will never be back.

Have been there twice for late lunch and early dinner. The first time was extremely busy, but for the most part the experience was okay. Platting issues with the gravy on the Chicken Fried Steak -- slopped all over and down the sides of the plate. Second trip the restaurant was dead. The fried pickles were AWFUL. I again ordered the Chicken Fried Steak and it was cooked to death. When I tried to cut the meat, the breading would FLY OFF! The meat was like jerky! And, once again, the gravy was slopped all over and down the sides of the plate. Manager was apologetic, but we'll never go back there again.

Went to this location around 5:00 on New Years Eve and there was an expected long wait. After being seated and ordering the meal was delivered in phases which was explained as baked potatoes and rolls were cooking. Finally got baked potato after the rest of the meal was completed. Don't think we will be returning here.

Awesome wait staff and fun atmosphere! Great fresh baked bread, made from scratch sides, hand cut in house steaks, and fall off the bone ribs! Don't forget to try a Legendary Patron Margarita or an Ice cold 22 oz Bud Light. Hands down the best steakhouse in Tallahassee!

We ate there Friday lunch. The restaurant is new, but the staff are all very friendly and attentive. And our fried pickles were hot and fresh. Slabs of BBQ ribs were good, but a little dried out. We were disappointed in the rolls and in the baked sweet potato. Both used to be better, back when the roadhouse on north Monroe was here. It is a shame they are not open weekdays for lunch, that is more convenient for us.

Enjoyed a sirloin with a baked potato and Caesar salad. The steak was cooked just as ordered. The staff are friendly and efficient. Our drinks were never empty and we had plenty of peanuts and bread to enjoy prior to our meal. I love Texas Roadhouse and this location is off to a great start!
