Service was good and I liked the atmosphere. Not too expensive. We had the Narutomaki appetizer, Sunshine State & Snow Crab roll.

This place has great customer service. The sushi was ok. It's not the worst I've have nor it's the best.

Love this place. Always great, fresh sushi. Great variety. Lots of unique rolls. Best seaweed salad in broward.

Very surprised at this place, very small, yet the taste of the food is amazingly big!! Loved the chicken katsu and cheesecake tempura. Not a big sushi eater but they have options for everyone!!!

This place is now my new favorite sushi spot !! My dad, my sister and I went last night, we ordered the spicy shrimp tempura and the Hawaiian special roll. They both were really good! I loved the spicy shrimp more because I love the spicy flavor. The Hawaiian one had pineapple in it. It was different. I never had a fruity sushi before. But it was yummy too. The place is cute and small. The staff was really friendly. They are definitely going to see me more often !

Came here on a Thursday night around 7 with a group of friends. FOOD- I strongly recommend ordering any of the sushi rolls with fruit on it. I had the Kiwi Lobster roll and it was fantastic! The gf and I have eaten our fair share of sushi, and this was definitely up there in ranking. Not too sweet, it was just perfect. Nothing really stood out with the other rolls. The rolls are a bit on the smaller side, but the prices are very cheap. SERVICE- The waitress was extremely friendly and nice. When we first sat down, only one other table was in the restaurant. Within a few minutes the entire restaurant was full. She was the only waitress and there was only one sushi chef. It took close to 30 minutes for our rolls to come out. ENVIROMENT- Your basic strip mall sushi place. Plenty of parking. Outdated decor. OVERALL- Four stars. Only because the Kiwi Lobster roll was that good!!!!

Ordered the party platter a. It was large and in charge. Definitely enough for my girlfriend and I. We had the saki sampler while we waited for the sushi takeout. The sake was delicious. One was pomegranate one was plum and one was raspberry. All were delicious and gave us a pretty decent buzz by the time the sushi was ready. Had a great time nice little place super friendly . Strongly recommended for plantation people

Do not go here unless you want to get sick. I was craving sushi and thought I would give this place a try. What a mistake. I ordered delivery and it was very tasty when I ate it, unfortunately I woke up 6 hrs on the dot later and was violently Ill with food poisoning. I have never been so sick in my life and was expecting the owners to be concerned about the condition their food left me in. They returned my call only to be defensive and tell me plainly that they "do everything right" and that no one else got sick.. This was irrelevant to me as I spent the night with my head in the toilet, missed work and school, and still don't have an appetite. Raw fish is something that requires a great deal of caution in storing, preparing, and transporting and this place dropped the ball. Never did they offer to refund my almost 50 dollar order, or apologize at all. Because of their terrible customer service I am calling the health department and writing this review so hopefully no one else has such a foul experience...

It's what on the inside that counts! This restaurant doesn't need big flashy lights and huge advertisements; the food speaks for itself. I have had an affair with sushi for over a decade and I can say that this place, hands down has THE BEST sushi I've ever had! It was so fresh and delicious my husband who has refused to jump on my sushi bandwagon, was fighting me for my food! I never need to go anywhere else again!!

Super awesome place. A true gem and a pleasure. Be easy when you come in. It's a true home setting and family run. Meaning no employes. Plan to take your time and don't expect a 5 star rating. The good is fresh and comes out pretty fast once you get to order. The service is pleasant and we will come again for sure.

Service was excellent and sushi was pretty good. But the spicy seafood soup was bland. However, I liked the fresh veggies in the soup.

My wife and I found Jin Sushi on Yelp and love the place. We wanted to try a few different things in case we weren't too crazy about the food but eat it ALL. We ordered the Austin Power Roll, California Roll, Mexican Roll, Katsu Chicken, and for dessert we had the Cheesecake Tempura. It was all so good! The staff is very friendly and the place was very clean (including the restrooms). I'm pretty happy to have found a good local sushi spot. We'll be back many times, I'm sure!

This place has a wonderful atmosphere. It's a small restaurant and it has a peaceful vibe with it's Japanese shades and décor. The sushi is great and the staff makes you feel at home. Great for an intimate date!

By far one of the best sushi restaurants I've ever been to, portions are amazing, price is reasonable and every thing is fresh. The staff is great also, they make you feel like you're important. I will be coming here many times.

Seeing all the glowing reviews on Yelp about this place, I was very intrigued. A great place for sushi takeout practically under my nose? How could I have missed it?! So I went over one day to investigate and grab some takeout for lunch. On first glance, the restaurant is small but clean and decorated with Japanese influences. I called ahead with my order and arrived 15 min later, but it still wasn't ready. The lady behind the counter was nice enough about it, but considering the restaurant was empty, it seemed a little weird that my order wasn't ready. I ordered the lunch special ($10) which consists of two special rolls and soup or salad. I chose the salad and tuna and dynamite roll. The salad was bland, and consisted solely of some sad lettuce and few pathetic shavings of carrot to top it off. The tuna roll was skimpy, with hardly any tuna, and the dynamite roll was poorly constructed, as practically every piece fell apart the second I picked it up. To add insult to injury, the dynamite roll tasted funny - and not funny ha-ha, either. I love dynamite rolls and get them often, but the white fish tasted weird and the roll was drowning in eel sauce (since when does eel sauce go on a dynamite roll?! But I digress). Furthermore, the eel sauce tasted funny - like that artificial or old taste. Either way, the roll was no bueno and I ended up leaving it. Honestly, for the money I spent I would have been way better off at a sushi buffet like Koizumi or Shinju or even another sushi place with less funky tasting and better made rolls. All in all, Jin sushi left me feeling kind of grossed out and ripped off - certainly not amazed by the wonder of their rolls. What restaurant are all these other Yelpers going to? Jin sushi is sushi in a strip mall, and bad sushi at that. This place is nothing to rave about.

I plan to leave another review in the future which will hopefully reflect my normal experience at this restaurant which is great. Today the service was incredibly slow. It took a solid 15 minutes to get our drink order. The sushi was fishy. I ordered Gyoza soup and was asked much later if I wanted it fried or steamed. I've been here several times and had the same waitress and chef - today they were different. I could do with a bit less change here. I originally gave two stars, but then I waited for about 15 minutes to pay.

Service was excellent. Everything ordered was good. The price for the portion of food is very reasonable. Don't leave without trying the red bean mochi!

The food was very fresh and tasty. The place is very cozy on the inside. The outside is going through a make over I guess and the area isn't that great but we will definitely be back because of how good the sushi is. As a 22 year purveyor of sushi I would recommend this place. It's a hidden joy!

I just don't get all the stellar reviews for this place. It's not that it's horrible, but there is absolutely nothing special at all about this place. It doesn't have a great atmosphere. It's just another strip-mall sushi joint that are ridiculously plentiful in South Florida. The decor is older and probably could stand some updating. The food was also nothing special. We ordered the sushi/sashimi dinner for two. We received the standard salmon, tuna, and escolar mix that you would get an any other strip-mall sushi joint. It was just okay. That salmon was good, but the tuna and escolar is tasteless. Ultimately, this wasn't worth the drive. We passed at least half a dozen strip-mall sushi places on our way to this place. We could have stopped at any of them and experience the exact same meal for the same price (and the decor would have probably be better).

I found this place on Yelp. Thanks for the great find. The Sushi was great! I had the Super Spicy Tuna roll, the Mexican roll and the Spicy Salmon roll. All three were amazing. Now the reason this place only gets for stars instead of the five it should get is I ordered Chicken Yakitori and it was really dry and over cooked. There was also on waitress for the whole restaurant so service was a little slow.

Small, no frills family run sushi spot. Staff was very friendly, the menu is small and inexpensive. Since I no longer eat fish I ordered the Special 2 roll lunch special which consists of Miso soup or ginger salad and your choice of roll. I had the ginger salad and the Veggie roll with brown rice. The ginger dressing was just ok and a bit runny, I have had much better, but the veggie rolls were delicious, packed with fresh veggies, I very much enjoyed them. Some of my friends who ordered regular rolls said it was very good, some did say that it wasn't top notch but it is very good for value and the food was very fresh. The restaurant is small and clean, nice ambiance. Food - 3.5 Value - 5 Service - 5

Love going here for lunch a few times per week! The food is fresh, service is friendly, always clean! Jen remembers what you like and how you like it! Quiet, friendly, fresh and delicious. Great lunch specials, too. A hidden secret on sunset strip and university! Definitely try and stop by!

My daughter and I were looking for mochi ice cream and stumbled into this place on yelp...once there, we decided to order a couple of rolls, we thought why not. Soo glad we did, mochi was good and we'll definitely be back for sushi and mochi ice cream. Great find!!

Don't you just hate when the food is good somewhere but the service is bad? It's that sacrifice that makes you question yourself late at night. Well, that's not the case for this place at all! Service is always very friendly which is a huge plus because sometimes these strip mall joints can come with either really crappy service or really crappy food. The only thing I have gotten here is their sushi, and I have to reason with myself not to get it almost every other day. Sighhh, the struggle is real. I've tried both dine in and take out, and the sushi is spectacular either way. The prices are all very reasonable compared to other sushi places in the region. I've tried a various amount of different rolls including their specialty fruit rolls, but my top favorites are the Supreme Dynamite Roll, Magic Roll, and Austin Power Roll. The place is pretty small with only 3 booths and a few tables, but still cute enough for a casual date (wanna be boogey people have been warned). They are located right along the corner next to the YouFit gym, and I just cannot believe how many years I have bypassed this place! So many years of lost sushi time, but now that I found my go to sushi spot; we shall never be apart again :)

Best Sushi in West Broward. This is truly a hidden treasure. I always order the supreme dynamite roll. If you are a conch lover this is your roll. The spicy tuna is another favorite. Anyway you go you won't be disappointed.

A bit slow because there was only one girl waiting on tables and one guy making sushi, but other than that it was delicious. I'm not the biggest fan of sushi, but my husband loves it hence reason why we went. I got the California roll and tempura roll. Both were pretty good.

Nice place, good food and very clean, had the Jin Roll, very good but for me i forgot to ask for the "tropical" sauce on the side, will get again, just think the tropical sauce hides the real flavor.

  • Vanessa R.

The staff is very friendly and the sushi is absolutely amazing. I love the tropical sushi, which has tuna, cucumber, avocado, cream cheese and mangos on top with their tropical sauce. It has such a sweet taste it and I get it all the time. Their JB Tempura rolls are also the bomb diggity. I definitely recommend this place to anyone who loves sushi, it's one of those hole in the walls that you are glad you discovered. The atmosphere is also very laid back and chill, the music is jazzy, and again, very friendly staff.

Food was great. Had shrimp tempura and Mexican rolls, and they were gigantic. Very rarely does sushi alone fill me up, but I even had extras to take home. The food is great, and the customer service was excellent as well.

Went for lunch. Calm, relaxing place. Lunch special is basically a normal priced item with a free soup and 4pc sashimi or roll. A little extra price compared to other lunch spots, but it's worth it for quality.

Wow, really impressed! Found Jin Sushi through Yelp and it did not disappoint. The restaurant is small and cozy, but with a bright, authentic Japanese feel to it. My sister and I ordered four rolls (kiwi lobster, crunch tuna sashimi, supreme dynamite, and hawaiian special) and they were all delicious! Such unique flavors and textures that I'll probably be dreaming of tonight. Portions aren't too big, but they were brought out promptly and the prices are very fair. Almost all of the full rolls are less than $12! A roll with lobster for $11? Yes, please! As other Yelp users have said, the owner is so sweet and adorable that she made our experience even better. She recognized that we were first-timers without me even saying anything and gave us some recommendations. I'll definitely be back to try more items next time I'm in the area.

It was raining and we wanted to stay 'local' so we ate at Jin Sushi - a restaurant worth the trip! The restaurant is small but they set it up so that people at each table can feel a sense of privacy. There were many orders prepared for pick up but even so we didn't wait long for our food. We ordered a Miami Salad - a great blend of chunks of fresh fruit and sashimi, with a garnish of sesame oil spiked seaweed salad. It was refreshing and delicious. We also ordered the Tropical Special roll and Sunshine State roll. Both rolls were studded with creamy, fresh fish and either sweet fruit or chilled veggies. I wish there was a bit less cream cheese in the Tropical Special roll but even so, it tasted great. We ordered Pad Thai, which was a rice noodle dish with small shrimp, scrambled egg, a couple of peanuts, and slices of onions and peppers. The sauce was not a traditional Pad Thai sauce but instead a rich brown gravy. So while it tasted good, it should be renamed something like 'rice noodles with brown gravy'. For dessert we ordered the glazed donuts with peanuts. The plate of warm, oblong dough balls had a condensed milk glaze over the line of donuts. A garnish of chopped salted peanuts provided a texture and taste difference from the soft, sweet dough pillows. They were so good that we finished the food before the donuts cooled! Overall, the food is a hit and the service is stellar. We won't wait for rain as an excuse to stay local -Jin Sushi is now a destination for us, rain or shine!

Went for lunch on a weekday - the place was empty. Service was friendly and the ambience is ok. Sushi rolls were below par. Rice was not good and the fish tasted old.

  • Jordanna S.

The food and service were absolutely fantastic. We ordered edamame, and received gigantic portions cooked to absolute perfection. For actual sushi, we ordered a Mexican roll, a rainbow roll, a tropical special roll, and one other uncooked roll. The food was so spectacular, we ordered a second Mexican and rainbow roll. The woman who was serving us was SO incredibly warm and kind, and honestly, she made myself and the rest of my family feel extremely comfortable and welcomed. Overall, we recommend this diamond in the rough to any and all sushi lovers who come to Sunrise.

In my opinion the best Sushi spot in Broward. Its a small spot tha'ts big on freshness and service. I've experienced it in take out and dine in form, and it was always pleasant.

I'm a sushi lover and I've driven by this plaza sooo many times and it's right next to my gym and I've never entered this cute sushi restaurant! The sign in Red only says SUSHI and from the exterior you wouldn't expect it to be so clean and neat on the inside. I came in at 2:20 and apparently they close from 2:30 -5:00pm ; Monday-Friday to prepare for dinner although they are NOT a buffet. I decided to take my order to go although I was skeptical I've never had sushi to go ...IT WAS BOMB! I had alight lunch I ordered the crunchy tuna and the vegetable tempura. Yummmyyy! kinda pricey (for the amount)but very good nonetheless . There is a sushi chef on front and a kitchen in the back ... Remember it's small so be aware AND THEY DELIVER! But I don't live that close ...unfortunately.

Pleasantly surprised by this little neighborhood gem. The fish is fresh and the ambiance reminds me of one of the intimate shops in the Tsukiji fish market. Definitely try the Tropical Special Roll (tuna, cucumber, avocado, cream cheese, and mango). It's an unexpectedly delicious medley of flavors I would highly recommend.
