Unfortunately I have nothing good to say. They forgot our order for at least 45 minutes, then came to our able to ask what we ordered. We had our two year old, yet they still wanted us to wait for another half hour! Didn't happen! Sad because I went there as a child nearly thirty years ago! Staff was not qualified and didn't know what was going on. They ran out of things, yet never told the tables till the food came out... Get your act together or It will be another place that sits empty!

We went to The Deck on a Friday evening In February with a large group of friends. There was a live band (Alita & the Boyz) and the place was packed with a 45 minute wait. The Deck is ultra casual, with a spectacular view. Our waitress was busy, really busy, but still found time to pleasantly take our orders. I only had a drink, because I had eaten late that day. My husband and daughter (who was visiting from NYC), both ordered meals and raved about the food. My daughter's meal of grilled salmon, salad, and baked potato were excellent - actually, she said it was the best food she had on her trip to Florida. The hamburger and fries my husband ordered looked delicious and he said it tasted great. Overall, there were about 10 members of our party and everyone said their food was very good. No complaints in our group at all. As I mentioned before, The Deck was packed that night, and our waitress never seemed to stop running from table to table. If we needed something, which a few people did, we just waved to the waitress and she came right over. No complaints about the service at all. The Deck was a fun and casual place to go on a Friday evening. We will definitely go back and this time I'll order a meal. Really a spectacular view. Throw on a pair of shorts and some flip-flops and you'll blend in just fine.

We stopped in for a late night bite and a beer Thursday. I had the best burger that I've had in years. The service was great, the food came out quick and the beer was ice cold. Live music was playing outside and the atmosphere was great. If you are looking for a place to kick back on the water, this is your place. Great job to everyone at The Deck!!!

Convenient, because you can pull up here on your jetski for lunch. Unfortunately, the service seems to get worse each time. Last time we came here, we waited 15 minutes for a menu (plenty of tables were open) as a handful of waiters casually passed up by, another 20 minutes for our drinks and a half hour for our food. It's not exactly a complicated kind of place. We ordered a beer, a wine, a couple salads and a fried appetizer to share...how could that possibly take so long? On a positive note, the battered jalapeno corn bites are awesome with a serious kick!

We arrived early and sat around enjoying the scenery and before we knew it the server took our order, very nice staff in a beautiful Florida setting!

A great Florida experience. Choose your steak, cut to order, then grill it yourself on the Commercial gas grill. Sit out on the deck at wooden picnic tables overlooking the St Lucie River basin and a marina. Sip Maker's Mark from a dixie cup. Yes!

Definitely worth the trip. This little gem offer a lovely water view and friendly service. Food is well prepared and reasonably priced. Give it a try!

Instead of discussing our question on the bill, the owner said "If you don't like it, get out and don't come back". We will definitely follow this rude mans advice.

Just left the Deck. Talked extensively with John Shaft(owner and Chef).Architect has drawn plans for a new cooking line in the kitchen. The whole problem is that the city is poking along. John hopes to have everything in place and ready to go right after the first of the year.Currentl serving a very limited ; albeit very good lineup of dishes.

Have eaten here a couple times during our past two visits. Good food, had the fish dip and blackened chicken Alfredo this time. As you might expect, chicken fingers and mushrooms are frozen and fried, but the live music, great staff and dockside deck make up for the grungy dive atmosphere - definitely get a seat outside.

Despite the waterfront location and nice atmosphere, I can't summon up the courage to go back. Sadly, even with those assets going for them, the food was so so and the service was absolutely terrible. As I waited at the hostess stand, and waited, and waited, I started to wonder if they even wanted me there. It was odd. Then, once they did seat is, it took FOREVER to get a menu and then to get a drink. Our waitress never once smiled. She seemed angry at the world. It's a waste, with such a cool atmosphere (drift wood and on the water). Maybe one day, I will try it again, but I'm just not ready yet.

The Deck Restaurant is a cool place to relax and enjoy dinner. The food is delicious and watching the sunset over the water is a bonus! I do recommend coming on Friday night because of the live music.

Adriana was great!! She was super fun, and efficient. Food was great and the live music was wonderful. You can pull up on a boat or a jetski!!

Enjoyed the food and the live music. Servers were wonderful but the attitude of the bar tender really soured my taste. Unfortunately, because of the impression and experience I got from him It would be very likely that my return business will not be had. It's not often I get service so bad it's hard for me to return, but just something about his appearance and the way he treated other customers just rubbed me the wrong way.

We stopped in Valentine's evening.... cute place with a fun atmosphere. There was live music on the deck. We thought we'd have to wait but got a table inside right away. The place was definitely busy but our waitress was there within minutes. The drinks came pretty quickly (my martini was great and I'm pretty picky). The kitchen staff was able to accommodate my request for mixing two of the main dishes to a dish that I wanted. Yahoo! The keylime pie was advertised as "deep dish" but it was just a slice however it was fantastic. Not an extensive menu but well rounded (even hot dogs). We will definitely go back when we have friends in from the West Coast.

I've been coming several times a month for years, though admittedly I come more on slower nights and generally prefer off season. I've always brought friends with me, and it's a place my boyfriend and I love to sit and watch the sunset, listen to music, or even sit at the bar and watch a game. We know many of the other regulars also. But after tonight, I don't ever want to go back. We arrived an hour before the band was supposed to come on. We planned to sit inside for a drink and an appetizer then move outside when the band came on for another drink and dinner. The band's are hit and miss, but we were pretty sure we had seen Broke and Tired (B&T) before and recalled we had liked the lead singer so we chose to go to the deck tonight for drinks and dinner. When the bartenders switch shifts you have to cash out so I paid for our appetizer and our drinks from Christine. She is awesome! Then Miller came on, he's just Ok. My boyfriend ordered another beer from him when we realized the band was about to come on. To move to sit outside you also have to pay separately, so again, we cashed out, told Miller we were going to eat outside, and carried out drinks out and snagged a table near the band. The band came on and played just 4 songs the first hour. And nothing special music wise. I've heard the guy before and as I recall he had played great stuff then but tonight he felt off, and his 4 songs were not particularly great songs. Not his playing, just fairly blah songs even in their original format. But he and his band are tempered it with cheesy but cute jokes and trivia with a free drink to the winner at the end. After 45 minutes no one had come to check if we needed refills or another round or brought menus. So we asked and finally got a waiter, who was nice but slow. Then the band leader decided to start picking at me. Asked why I looked unhappy. I wasn't. The. He asked what we would like to hear. My boyfriend said something beach u, I added like Jimmy Buffet or Beach Boys or something to set off the mood of sitting on the water watching boats come in. Instead he mocked my age, told me he didn't know anything by Justin Bieber, and said he only plays 70's music. I like the 70's just fine but the rest of the night he picked on me telling the small crowd that I essentially was a baby, and other rude comments about my age, etc. I'm 34 and my boyfriend is 48. I'm flattered he thinks I was so young but it was uncalled for. Around 620 the manager came over, placed a reserved sign on our table and told us someone had reserved our table for 7. No offer to move us to another table (or place them at one of the other empty tables). I was so upset. We still hadn't eaten dinner. Clearly the point of having trivia and a band was to make people sit and stay AND spend money. The kitchen had run slow with our appetizers so it was clear there wasn't enough time to order and eat before we were to be booted from our table. I've never been treated like that. I felt like we were being mocked by the band and thrown out like trash. I can, and will, take my business elsewhere. The Deck has a great view of the sunset, but so do a host of other restaurants in town. All of which will happily take my money and welcome me back each and every time. The Deck has always been my favorite place in town, feels like it's time for a new favorite.

The only place in town to get fresh (not fresh-frozen) Mahi! Dolphin fingers are the best in all of Florida! Cool, waterfront, casual atmosphere. A don't miss for sure!!!

We had great food, quick service and very cold beer. They also have a full bar- bonus! We met really nice people there. Cool outdoor seating on the water and dog- friendly. It doesn't get any better than that. Can't understand the bad reviews.

I am so very sad to post such a terrible review of one of my favorite places. We have dined here at least 5 times in the past 2 months, and have been very pleased. Great food, good service and beautiful sunsets. Well tonight may have been the last time we visit. Walked up and stood for 10 minutes before we decided to just sit at an open table. Sat for 23 minutes before anyone actually acknowledged us, and offered us drinks/menu. Ordered a salad and veggie burger with sweet potato fries and coke slaw. 2 hours later, our food finally arrived. Burger was cold, fries were overdone, and coleslaw was forgotten. Our waitress, who seemed to be hustling about was very nice and told me when she dropped the plates "whoops I forgot your coleslaw, be right back" 20 minutes later, some sweaty guy dropped it off and I told him forget it we were done eating. Waited another 20 minutes for our check. Table behind us was never bussed even though people were sitting there. Eventually, they just pushed the previous diners dirty dishes to the end of the table. Seriously, waitress served their food, yet still never took away the previous customers plates. Gross. Another table got up, and got a wet towel from the bar to clean their table. Gross again. Beautiful sunset, terrible margarita, not great food, worst service ever. It was pretty empty inside, so I'm not sure what the problem was.

After reading reviews, I was pretty nervous about coming here but a drone was in the band so why not. It was actually pretty darn tasty. Had the mahi dinner. I'm from Florida and it was Definitely fresh fish. 2 huge chunks which we could've split. Another had steak, not so great. Well, you're on the water and you're expecting good land animals, come on. Enjoy the seafood. Manager came over twice to make sure everything was good. Will be back.

I liked this place. I love any place that has a waterfront view and a dock to walk out on. My food was good. Fried Dolphin PoBoy..it wasn't on the menu, I put in a special request. My friends however, did not like their dishes. One person ordered a chicken sandwich and it came with nothing on it, only chicken! lol The other guys got burgers and shrimp poboy's and thought they were average at best, especially for the price. My Bloody Mary was delish! and I also enjoyed the live music. The service was very slow, which bothered most of the people in my group. I didn't care because I was too busy enjoying the view, my drink and the music :)

I've been to the Deck twice now and really like it here. It's a great location - right on the water. Great place to go to if you have a boat. I can believe the sunsets are fantastic from there; it's the perfect location for it. I was there during the Stuart Boat show and they were hopping and had a limited menu and the service was great. Our server was friendly, fast & knowledgeable about the menu. I had the mahi tacos which were ok - i wouldn't rave about them - the were satisfactory. Nothing over the top, nothing specialized, but they were good. The fries were really good :-) My bf had the pulled pork sandwich & he loved it! They had a guy singing & playing the guitar - there's always music there - so we'll definitely be back! Fun little place to go to to have a sandwich, cold beer & good music.

This could be a great place - but it just doesn't have what it takes to bring in the locals. The picnic tables were sticky and dirty, and they do not pour a good drink. The food is mediocore at best and the prices are high for what you get. The entertainment is fun but it almost isn't worth suffering through the lousy service and weak drinks.

Two stars only for location and band. We waited an hour for our food and when it finally got it was just barely warm. My husband ordered the hot dog and when he asked for mustard and onions the server looked at him like he had two heads. In short service was slow, food was cold, and it was a generally bad experience! Will only be going back for drinks and music.

I thought they almost had it right last month when I visited the restaurant. In fact we enjoyed ourselves so much we were really looking forward to going again last night. To our surprise they had changed the menu. Many entrees had gone up in price. I had the nightly special of crab cakes with 2 sides. They were mediocre at best with much filler and not a lot of crab. Sadly, we are still looking for a go to place that has great food, fair prices and great local flavor.
