This is what Thai food should be. When you walk into the place the first thing you will be greeted by is one of two smiling faces. Either of the proprietors [brother and sister] will be there to help you, help you to generous portions of some spectacular Thai food at a very reasonable price. This is a place where you will be remembered when you go back. The food is all good. Try the honey or garlic chicken. Try the Pad Thai. Try the See-Eaw. Really you can't go wrong, unless you don't order the Tom Khi Gai. Go there and bring your appetite because you won't be disappointed. All 5 out of 5.

One of my favorite restaurants. They know me by name and remember what I have. The food is excellent and the staff is great. Check it out.

My husband proposed to me here 7 years ago and we come back here every year for our anniversary. The food is fantastic and the ambiance is really cool. Try the Thai tea, it's the best!

Don't waste your money or time here! I ordered a shrimp dish and was still hungry after eating it, so I ordered an appetizer. It tasted microwaved, so I asked for something else. I was told "they don't really do that." So, I walked away with a $30 bill and still hungry. I was also the only customer in the restaurant, which should have been a sign...

Thai food for real vegetarians (without fish sauce or oyster sauce!) that actually tastes delicious. They have a vegetarian section that can be customized. Also, they actually asked if we wanted the tofu steamed or fried...believe me, this is a huge plus because this is very rare!

Delicious curry, pad thai, and Thai doughnuts. Fairly priced, and quick service. Perfect for the lunch hour.

Tried this place. Not bad but not special either. Had the steamed dumplins and special noodles ...both were as expected

This place just makes me happy... I've been coming here for over 13 years. This is the place to go for an delicious Thai meal. The Pad Thai, Tom Kha Gai, and Panang Curry are a must! I won't eat this anywhere else. It's a quiet and cozy restaurant with a friendly staff, and some seriously good food... What more can you ask for?

In Plantation?!?!?! This restaurant could be located in any fancy upscale neighborhood and give everyone a run for the money. The food is so delicious!!! Even my 10 and 13 year old kids were impressed. My husband and I found the Mom and daughter to be remarkably friendly to our brats. I'm sorry for anyone that had a bad experience here. We eat out EVERY Sunday and tend to stay on the beach side of town but WOW!! Please, please give them another try and then rate them again, after that.

Decided to try this place today since I keep passing it on the way to work. The food was so-so and my friend found a hair in her food. It took forever for someone to come to our table to address it.

Hidden gem tucked away in the shopping center behind the Chevron and CVS at N. University and W. Sunrise. Interesting décor with Asian style pergolas inside. We went for a late lunch on a Saturday (~3pm) so the place was pretty relaxed with only a few patrons. Don't let that deter you because the food was really good and the waitress was exceedingly polite and accommodating. We had California rolls, wonton soup (comes in a very large bowl not the standard cup size vessel), duck noodle soup (add sriracha sauce to give it some kick), laap (larb) gai which we didn't see on the menu but the waitress said they made it, tofu and to finish up green tea ice cream. It was all very good and the portions were sizable. Give it a try--there are many items to choose from.

I went here for the first time about two weeks ago, its a lovely little restaurant tucked into a shopping plaza- much bigger on the inside than outside. Very prompt, friendly service, we were seated almost immediately. Their food is deliciousssss. Four extra "s" delicious. I had the chicken pad see ew, with their house salad with home made ginger dressing. That ginger dressing was so fresh and delicious I would have been happy with just the salad. However, I'm a noodle lover at heart- my noodles were perfectly flavored, tons of chicken and veggies and didn't need any of the condiments they offered. We finished with the thai donuts which are just ridiculously good for anyone. I live super far away and still plan to come back again.

I'll keep it short, sweet & to the point. I used to come here a long time ago and it was great. In regards to the food both Thai and Japanese dishes are delicious. As for the service it leaves room for improvement. Upon entering one night we waited at the door for a couple minutes before someone approached us. It was not a busy night and we did see 1 server towards the back taking care of some tables but I feel every restaurant should always have someone at the door to greet guests. Our server was a nice young man but I could tell right away his english was not so great. My only issue with this is that he was unable to understand some of our questions about some of the menu items. Upon placing our order he misunderstood one of the items we wanted as an appetizer which came out as an entree. At that point we had to return it only because it was too much food coming out at once. After this mix up he never returned to our table to make sure we were OK. No water filling, no nothing. Frankly, this is simply just not cool or very attentive on his part. I felt somewhat as if perhaps he is new and I get it because everyone deserves a chance but these things need some work. Our dinner overall was fantastic! However towards the end of my meal I happened to notice bugs (small black flies) all over the window sill! It was nasty, and frankly right next to my seat. This is laziness on the owners not making sure their staff is cleaning properly and to many people this would make them never come back again. Please clean your window sill by the "OPEN sign in neon". Personally I will not go back to dine again however I would do take out. The food is good, prices are reasonable and the staff is nice but like I said there is room for improvement. Also one thing I noticed right away is the lack of music at all throughout the restaurant. It was kinda weird because I could hear a constant humming sound of an AC or something. Not annoying but I feel music of some sort playing in the background does help give a place of sense of ambience.

I searched for this place on several occasions, not easy to find....but worth finally experiencing this restaurant. It's quaint and food delicious. Thai iced tea was incredible and their mochi ice cream a superb treat! I recommend it and will be there soon. This was a great find!

Mmmmm...nom nom nom...what a munch! My girlfriend and I decided to meet at Chada for Sunday lunch and try it out as we'd heard good things and that it was under new management. What a winning decision that turned out to be! This hidden gem is located on the NE corner of Sunrise and University around the back of the Plantation Crossing strip mall, parking is easy and it's right off the beaten track. We were greeted by the very friendly waitress and soon were seated in a comfortable booth perusing the menu. They offer both Thai and Sushi and have a nice Sushi bar where you can watch Woody prepare a fine assortment of fresh rolls right before your eyes. As tempting as it was, we were on a mission to find a good Thai restaurant, so we asked for recommendations. Woody came out to greet us and very quickly we had our orders in. The Spring rolls were piping hot and crispy served with sweet Thai chili sauce - Delicious! We also tried their Curry Puffs, ground chicken and sweet potato puree seasoned with curry spice nestled in a light pastry shell - served with a cucumber dipping sauce - again, wonderful! In addition to the delicious factor, their presentation was delightful, each dish carefully arranged with a flower as part of the garnish and served with pride. (Yes, it shows!) The staff were very friendly and Woody was great. Knowing we were nearly swayed to order sushi, he prepared a taste of his Sushi skills and sent it over for us, a simple salad of greens and grated carrots with chunks of sashimi and krab anointed in a light garlicky dressing. Fantastic and the texture of the fish (plus the absence of smell) assured me that he has the freshest of ingredients available to him. What an unexpected treat! Next we enjoyed their Miso soup and their house salad with Ginger dressing. I had the soup and it was fantastic! The morsels of tofu were tender, the seaweed with a light bite and the miso broth perfectly seasoned. I realize these are staples in any Sushi place, but in addition to everything else, they really do this well. For our main course, my friend selected the Crispy Duck which arrived piled high on a platter, sliced and served with a Thai Basil sauce with onions and peppers. What a feast! The duck was cooked perfectly and despite being in the sauce, retained the crispiness of the breading. Can't say enough about it! I opted for the Masaman Curry with Pork which was equally delightful, served with sliced avocado and bathed in a creamy coconut sauce. Amazing! Add to that, individual covered pots of Jasmine rice and it truly was a fabulous lunch. Both my friend and I agreed we would have no hesitation about bringing company here and have declared it our new favorite local Thai place! Well done Chadda :)

I have been to Chada Thai over the years for weekday lunch because it is close to my work. I have to admit that I have never been impressed and was not a fan, lunch is served quickly and portions are small. I didn't care for their Miso soup, the food was very basic, some of it tasted pre-cooked. Last I heard from friends who have recently frequented it is that the place has gone downhill, they stated that the restaurant was dirty and the food was mediocre, I do not expect to be returning.

I have been coming here since I was 5 years old. It never fails to impress me. When ever i come here the staff is very friendly and the food is amazing. Recently they got new owners and added a sushi bar. But the thai food is still the same! And the sushi us amazing too. Coming here is the best.

The owners sold the restaurant 3 weeks ago and the menu has changed, all new staff, and it's now more of a Japanese & Thai fusion place. Was definitely saddened to hear the owners changed hands. My sister said the chicken fried rice was good, but I only ordered miso soup and curry puffs. I was sorely disappointed in the curry puffs as you used to get more, but now it's less (4), for the same price. It was also very greasy, barely any chicken pieces and was served with a dense looking peanut sauce. The waitresses seemed confused about sorting out customer bills, and it took some time. I won't be going back, and will be looking for a new nearby Thai place. There's always Sukho Thai in Ft. Lauderdale.

I'm deeply saddened. I called in an for a pick-up order tonight. I ordered Snapper Fillet in Basil sauce and Pad Se Ew with chicken. The girl on the phone didn't seem sure they had Snapper and asked the kitchen. She must have been new, I thought. I go in to pick up about 20 minutes later and the entire staff seemed new. I didn't recognize one face. I get home and as I opened up our dishes, I didn't recognize the fish in basil sauce. It was two small, possibly dried fish. The mrs said it was super salty. My Pad Se Ew was also prepared differently. The chicken was dry. Edible but dry. I was really disappointed. The mrs suggested I try to find if the restaurant changed owners and it seems a G+ entry for the restaurant confirms that there are new owners as of 09/2014. I'm open to trying this new ownership one more time but I have to say that the quality of my meal tonight has dropped signficantly.

Very good food! The staff really do make up for the 5 stars... We were attended to immediately with a very friendly welcoming attitude. A few minutes after being seated we were given complimentary Icey water (whether it was tap water or not, I dunno but that was still nice of them). Clean comfortable environment, delicious food, portions were average. Very satisfied all in all, friendly service really does go a long way. I'll be back one day.

We ordered takeout and everything went smoothly. Very friendly and our order was ready to go when we got there. The food was good. I was VERY happy that they offer the option of steamed tofu instead of the usual fried for my curry.

How fortunate was I to have found this place. About six months ago, I had Thai food for the very first time. I was raised by a family led by a woman who hated Thai food, so Thai cuisine was never part of my childhood rotation. As I got older, I never had the impetus to branch out and try what had been negated in my life. But one day, I met someone who wanted to go to a Thai restaurant. I went with her and, after explaining my tastes, was suggested to try the classic: pad thai. I did, and I said "this is awesome" and ever since I have been on a quest to find the best pad thai in the area. Since then, I've gone to many different places in Broward that serve pad thai. I've since learned there is a great deviation as to the style and quality of the dish, as well as the size of the portion given in each meal. I've been to maybe ten different pad thai-serving restaurants since then. Today, I went to Chada Thai. Today, my search is surely complete. Let's get this out of the way first: the quality and the taste of the food is the best of any pad thai I've had since beginning my little "science experiment." The noodles were excellent, the sauce was excellent, and the meat was objectively excellent. Personally, I would prefer the pork to be closer to medium rare style, but I have found that almost nobody cooks the meat in a pad thai to this level, so I cannot really use this as a negative against the dish. It was awesome and fresh and delicious. They ran a lunch special for nine bucks where you'd get a soup or salad with the pad thai and a bowl of rice, but I was super hungry so I ordered the dinner portion for thirteen bucks instead. I asked the server what the difference was in size between the two. She told me the dinner portion is "about twice" the size of the lunch. She wasn't kidding. This plate was MASSIVE. I say this as someone who reads Yelp comments where other people talk up the massiveness of a plate and find myself frequently underwhelmed. I say this as someone who, at a younger, more fatter age, participated in competitive eating competitions. The amount of pad thai I received today was probably double the amount of the full dinner portions at the majority of other restaurants at which I've eaten. My server was a tag team of a very soft-spoken, kind, sweet, and playful young woman and her doting, cheerful, friendly mother; the latter of whom evidently owns the restaurant. I went in as a complete noob and nothing I requested was denied; indeed, I was cheerfully provided with what I sought without delay, even as I am sure my requests seemed weird or out of place given the situation. Every question for which I sought an explanation was answered, and I never felt anything but happiness and quirky friendliness from either of the duo. While I have always been of the mind that the first focus of a restaurant review is the food, and while I have always been one to discount reviews that seem to have their final verdicts influenced by the decor or aesthetic style of the restaurant, I would be completely remiss not to mention one of the strongest, most immediately obvious positive traits of Chada Thai: the interior is BEAUTIFUL. It is gorgeous. As I went just now, for lunch, in the daytime, It's cheerful, floral, and cozy; yet, I can recognize how easily it is structured to transform in the evening hours into a locale extremely fitting for a romantic meal. All in all, I am extremely satisfied with my time here today. Chada Thai hits the trifecta: excellent food, excellent service, excellent interior aesthetic setting. And it's not even close.

I've been craving thai food all week and my friend and I were gonna try Manee Thai but for some reason they were closed for lunch, so after browsing around, we ended up getting lunch at Chada Thai instead. Upon entering with my grumbling hungry stomach, the asian lady host quickly sat us down but in a really awkward table that was too close to the entrance where me and my friend would be bothered by customers entering/leaving, take out customers, and those that were paying for their food. So, I requested that we take a table near the back and she was fine with it. I'm very picky with where I sit because I do not like sitting next to bathrooms, trash cans, or tables near distractions. I feel like these things take away from the true restaurant experience and food-taster connection. My friend ordered the Panang curry and I ordered the Green Thai curry. We were in luck because their lunch special included a free spring roll and soup of the day. My friend isn't really fond of spicy foods so the waiter recommended the Panang curry to him and he really loved the taste of it, he finished his whole plate! The soup we got was the Tom Kha Gai and it was amazing and my curry overall tasted delicious! The ingredient seemed fresh and the curry was of high quality with perfectly blended vegetables and flavors all mixed in the entree. They lost 2 stars with their customer service and price. The waiter did not come to our table to refill our empty drinks; in addition, my friend ordered the thai tea and our entire entree was served to us before they brought the beverage because we reminded them about it. In addition, we were waiting for quite awhile for the waiter to take our lunch order and I became slightly agitated at the long wait. The serving sizes, although it included free soup and spring rolls, were too small. Other thai establishments serve bigger curry sizes that I have enough to take home for dinner; I finished my entire lunch and I was still starving! For the small serving sizes, it was about $10 per person. Overall: I commend them for their high quality tasting thai food with a great blend of ingredients. However, next time I am craving thai food I will probably eat at other establishments that give me a better bang for my buck. I will probably come back here only for take out if I cannot find any other alternative or if my friends invite me to have lunch here again.

The food here is ok...not the best Thai but its not the worst either..the people here are friendly...the ambiance is nice...the thing that bothers me about this place is their prices vs the portion sizes... My wife really liked this place..so I decided to give it a try...we went here for dinner once...and I was really hungry..I ordered some vegetable dish...it took them about 20-25 mins to stir-fry a few vegetables.....looking at the price of the dish($13 i guess)..I thought they would have decent portions...then my food arrived..it was half a plate of water with some veggies..and the rest of the plate was shredded carrot and cabbage nest with a turnip rose...ok that is pretty ...but where is my food????? I was still hungry after finishing my plate...I spent $35 for two of us and I was still hungry... If I want good thai food..I would go to Thai Thai on sunrise and pine island or Japan Inn...the taste is better...prices reasonable and portions are far better...

The food here was just okay. Nothing bad about it, but the taste was just not as good as many other Thai restaurants I've been to. It also was really hot in there, definitely needed to turn the AC up.

This joint ain't bad. I've been here a few times and have not been disappointed... Also not incredibly impressed... But this place is good. I would give it the 1 mile rating... If you're within a mile, do it but a longer drive than that is not warranted

Came here for lunch and it was ok, I've definitely had better. I ordered the typical beef pad Thai and a bowl of Tom yum goong soup. The soup was VERY Lime-y....it didn't have enough lemongrass and spiciness. The pad thai was ok also. You can tell it's family owned like the other reviewers said, the staff knows almost everyone's name that walks in....which I think is kind of nice. The decor is very outdated, and I think that they should get rid of those bright pink napkins (yikes!)

We ate here for a Friday lunch. We both got lunch specials. My brother had one of the curries and I had the chili paste. Each included a soup (it was wonton- not bad) and a mini spring roll. The portion sizes were perfect and it definitely hit the spot. We topped it off with the Thai donuts yummmm!I am never in this area but would like to come again and will recommend it to others!

Did you change owners???? We've been coming here for years... This place had the best duck curry. I dreamt about it. It was always authentic and had some of the best brown rice. It was closed down a few days for "renovations," and now there's a whole new staff and the food quality has gone way down hill. The curry was thin and generic. The vegetables were all different: dominated by lemon grass, cherry tomatoes, and lychees instead of the former green peppers, broccoli, tomato wedges that integrate into the sauce, pine apple chunks... And the duck was no longer the succulent, flavorful chunks we grew accustomed to but rather more generic, dryer slices. Even the Pad Thai noodles tasted thicker and less authentic. I feel like my comfort food has died... Please contact the previous owners for recipes! I don't know how to live without that amazing curry! I haven't found it anywhere else as good...

I met some friends here for lunch this week. We were seated right away. The waitress came quickly giving us water and soup. It was a light chicken broth with some ground up chicken with vegetables. There wasn't a single green item in there so I just tasted it and put it aside. I liked the booth by the front window. It gave privacy for friends to talk freely. The Thai iced tea looked delicious but I was holding off on the heavy stuff as I was having the red curry. I wasn't overly impressed with the vegetable curry. The vegetables were not as crisp as I'm used to. There were very little bamboo shoots and no green peppers. The curry didn't have much kick to it but it was creamy and went well over the jasmine rice. It's funny how we become attached to a certain way food is prepared. Many people really like this place. Personally, I've had better Thai food.

One of the best Thai restaurants in my experience. Superb flavoring, good portion size, and excellent service. Try the curry puffs appetizer - heavenly home made flaky little football shaped puffs filled with curried potato. The pad woonsen and the penang curry with fried tofu were both delicious. The only caveat is that the menu descriptions vary slightly from what you receive. For example, the curry puffs are described as having a chicken filling which was not the case. And the toppings for the pan woonsen were slightly different. Still not anything that would detract from the 5 star quality. Staff is warm and friendly and very welcoming. A place to return to for sure.

Found this place with the help of yelp while we had time to kill in Davie. Place is nice enough to take a date (maybe not a first date to impress). Very friendly and accommodating staff. We ordered a bowl of Tom Kha soup, pad Thai and steamed vegetables, although the vegetable fish was a bit skimpy for $11.50. Presentation on all was very good, especially the pot of soup. Nice touch was they served the rice and eagerly fished out more from the service bowl they brought around. They were attentive and didn't rush us. Although I wouldn't make a special trip to come, would definitely return if I was in the area.

On first getting here I was a little skeptical as I smelled a strange smell but that can happen. Anyway, the decor is a little strange but I guess it's different. We had the steamed dumplings as an appetizer which were pretty good. For lunch I ordered the Siam chicken with white rice, which came with a soup as well. Everything was pretty good but the star of the show was the Thai donuts, they were just hot and fluffy and probably the best ones I've had lol, even though it's hard to mess those up. The server was very attentive and made sure my glass always had water. Their seemed to be a decent sized lunch crowd and did notice a few regulars (I'm nosey) lol. Overall, not bad.

Great place for a tasty Thai lunch - not been there for dinner. Food is always fresh, tastes great, and cheap! Lunch for ten bucks isn't hard at all. Pad Thai, Green Chicken Curry, spring rolls and most of all the Tom Kha Gai soup are my favs! Decor leaves a little to be desired, and a few of the booth seats are uncomfortably close to the tables, so if you're big, ask for a table. You won't be disappointed here.

Wonderful staff here!! A friend of mine who lives not far from Chada Thai told me about this place a couple of years back. We both go there from time to time when we have a craving from Thai food. We are basically regulars that the 2 owners know us. The price is very reasonable compared to other Thai Restaurants I've been to. There food is fresh and steaming hot!! Their Pad Thai (my fav dish) is excellent!!! And there Sauteed Chicken with Vegies is amazing!! And don't get me started with there Thai Donuts!! So good. Comes out nice and hot with a little cup of frosting in the middle. All in all I look forward to going there. The environment is calming. Friendly staff. Only thing is they need a new choice of music. Everytime I go there they play Yanni-If I could Tell you CD, lol!!!

Chada Thai is a favorite for dinner. The staff is friendly and the food is great. Their Pad Thai is delicious as is their Pad See-Eauw. Appetizers are not to be missed, and the Chada Platter has enough appetizers for 3-4 people. Service is quick and prices are very fair. Takeout is a breeze, and if you order online, you save 10% off your bill. The food deserves a 5 star rating, but the dining space is lacking. While the location is convenient, there are a lot of tables crammed into a little space. Most booths barely fit 4 and there are only a few tables for larger groups.

delicious thai food. Tom Kha Gai is wonderful. The prices are reasonable, expect to spend $40 for dinner for two, with an appetizer and cokes. The place could be a little cleaner, if it were I would give it 5 stars. I usually get take out.

This place is fantastic. Not only is the food delicious but the edible garnishes are adorable and very well done. I am a vegetarian but there are SO many choices here, unlike most restaurants here in South Florida. I recommend the eggplant dish with the basil sauce - amazing. Also, the panang curry is quite tasty. Friends that I have taken (who are not vegetarian) have become obsessed with this restaurant and it's easy to be. Great prices for amazing food that isn't pre-packaged and microwaved from a corporate box.
