What a find! My wife and I absolutely love Middle Eastern food and as it just so happened, we were on the hunt for a place to eat when we stumbled onto this little gem tucked away just off Palafox Street near Seville Quarter. Not only is it a restaurant, but a hooka bar too. Upon entry, we were met by the faint sweet smell of flavored tobacco. The weather was great so we opted to sit outside. It was between lunch and dinner so we were in there all by ourselves. Our server was very attentive and friendly. We ordered the grape leaf rolls and the mixed grill. Grape leaf rolls were just ok. They were a bit too dense if you ask me. Not near as good as my mom makes. The mixed grill was in-cred-i-ble. Two types of chicken, beef, and gyro meet. It came with a basket of bread and humus. Their humus is great. It's puréed so the texture is very creamy. The flavor is 100% delicious. I would have liked if the bread had pockets to make little sandwiches out of the meat on the mixed grill, but I made do. I have a healthy appetite, but these two things were more than enough to feed my wife and I. I think we made it out of there for just $22. Not bad at all. We'll definitely be going back.

Felt invisible here. Took a while to get a seat and for someone to take our order. when they finally did, it took another 45 minutes to get our food, and the place was nearly empty. When the food came it was some of the worst we have ever had.

    1. If two people at a table order greek salads, and one person orders a large and the other orders a small, you CANNOT bring the two salads to the table in the same size (small) soup bowl. And when the two diners point out that one was supposed to be a large and one was supposed to be a small, you can't respond with "oh, they made them both large." And when questioned why a $14 "large" salad arrived in a tiny soup bowl, you can't then say "Oh, I guess they made them both small!" And then when the person who ordered the large salad says they'd like to actually receive the large salad they ordered, you can't then try to convince the table the orders are correct by saying "well, yours actually IS a large, they put more in your bowl than the small", when both salads are clearly the exact same size... SMALL. For FOURTEEN DOLLARS. (This seriously would have been a $5 side salad at any other restaurant.) 2. When a customer is paying their fourteen dollars for said tiny @ss greek salad, it better have the things described in the menu. Like the onions. And kalamata olives. 3. You also cannot grill the beef to death and serve it on top of a salad, regardless of the size you are trying to convince me it is. The beef chewed and tasted like pencil erasers, was almost inedible, and was certainly terrible. Pitiful food, terrible service. Never again. I've tried you three times and it's been a crappy experience every. single. time.

Ordered the tandoori Chicken and both my wife and my plate both come out dry ...the only plus to the meal was the hummus and pita bread..... noisy hookah bar next-door made for an uninviting atmosphere on Friday night

Good, Gyro! We lunched on a Gyro, hummus, fries this afternoon. The Gyro was a tasty and generous portion of meat, lettuce, tomato, onion, and yogurt sauce on a lovely flatbread. The hummus was flat on the spices--I like a robust garlic and lemon in my hummus--but seemed to be freshly made. I will definitely go back to try the other specialties such as Kibbe and Kabobs on the menu.

I went in to pick up lunch for my amazing fiancee. Short notice and in a hurry, I went in and ordered 2 lunch specials @ $7.99 each, and an adidtional small order of hummus @$4.29. So I'm spending over $20 for lunch, and things are looking and smelling really good. I ask if we can sub the chips with something a little healthier like a small thing of tabuli (for my girl). There was discussion behind the counter, and the girl (sweet as could be) said sure and gave me a (no lie, after the person in charge sort of scoffed) condement sized portion of the stuff. Ok, fine. no biggie. Then I got my order, and looked in the bag, and noticed that there was ONE pita bread, sliced into quarters (totally, no lie, 4 pieces of hummus scoopers), to go with my hummus, which clearly was enough for about 4 or 5 pita breads. I asked if they could just throw in one more, so my girl and I would each have one, and, after asking blue-dotted hair guy, she said sure. She gave it to me, then just as I was leaving, hollared out that she (blue-dotted haired guy) had to charge me A DOLLAR for frigging pita bread. ONE PIECE. AFTER they already said sure and didn't say it would cost me more. I coudlnt' believe it. PITA bread? Are you kidding me? I won't be going back. Whoever was "in charge" that day stunk (blue-spotted hair guy, thanks alot). The two Gyros were good, but the HIP POCKET (best Gyro in town, possibly the state) off Barrancas totally kicks their butts. And the hummus was just average (have had better store bought). That little greek place off 9 mile has some amazing hummus, but the garlic will peel paint off the walls, lol. I haven't tried any of their other food, but after this less-than-impressive experience, I won't be easily convinced to go back.

I stopped here for a light lunch consisting of a small Greek salad and some of the best hummus I have ever had. The wait service was very friendly and efficient. We ate in a clean, comfortable environment and was overall impressed with the place based on previous reviews. I agree with those who say this place is good, not great, but I will/ would go back!

Service poor, the staff/ cooks clothes were dirty not what you want to see; unfortunately, I did not notice until we were paying the bill. Food average at best. I am from Detroit which has a large middle-eastern community. This restaurant wouldn't make it a week in Detroit.

Fantastic spot. I have no idea what anyone could possibly be complaining about. I've been three times and had attentive service, great food, and an overall awesome time. The sampler platter is just a ridiculous amount of food for $10. The baba ganoush and hummus are both top notch as well. I lived in Jerusalem for several years and have traveled from Morocco to Dubai and many points in between...this is good stuff. Need to serve alcohol though. That point is hard to over state.

Had the mixed grill, delicious and extravagant amount of food for the price. Doesn't come with much in way of vegetables (the salad is not included), but great nonetheless. Had tabbouleh salad on the side which seemed a bit expensive but was yummy too. I recommend for a break from the seafood and pub fare that seems to dominate in the area.

Not a bad Greek spot if you need a fix. Place is a little sketchy but all In all worth a stop.

Yesterday was my second time going here. The first time was on last month's Pensacola's Gallery Night. It was crazy busy, but I was still able to get a table and seat with my husband. I ordered the grape leaves and a gyro. The gyro was delicious, but I didn't really care for the grape leaves. It was sour, and just not what I care to eat that night. Yesterday I went with a few friends, and we were the only customers there. Maybe it is because the Pensacola Greek Festival is going on this weekend as well. Yes, we are weird for not going there instead. LOL. Anyways, everyone loved what they ate. I ordered the Beef Kabob platter with a side of hummus and baba ganosh. It was so good. I also had deep fried feta wrapped in felo dough. That was really good too. The only thing that bothered us was a bug that keep flying by. They could also redecorate.

..Located where the Rag Tyme Restuarant used to be, we decided to try out the new spot. Ive been to the hookah one on 9th Ave, and I like this one better. My boyfriend had the gyro pita(with a poor cute baby lamb stuffed inside of it!!) and I had the chicken shish kabob pita with marinated tender cubes of chicken grilled and rolled in pita with hummus, lettuce, tomato, pickles & Tahini sauce... all VERY GOOD! Im not a fan of "ethnic food", unless its fried chicken, so I have no idea if this was authentic mediterranean food or not but I liked it. 4 stars, although service was freakin s l o w... You can opt to eat outside on the patio, or indoors. Went on Lunch hour and it took almost 40 mins to get our food. They need more waitstaff during lunchtime hours..but I enjoyed it overall. Good spot for also doing hookah outside on the patio..and its BYOB which is super cool to bring your own wine or beer. There's a little liquor store right around the entrance. A great spot.

I'll be upfront and admit that this is review is based strictly on Jordan Valley's hummus & pita bread. Based on what we tried, I'd definitely say this was a 5-star experience! I can certainly understand the objections to price - but then again, they are located in the middle of the best area of Pensacola for shopping (Palafox), so I don't expect bargain prices in this area. I was impressed with the quantity of hummus that we received. It was a generous portion to say the least!

Unimpressed. The chicken plate I ordered was microwaved and served barely warm. Also, the sole employee there was cleaning the dining area while I was eating, which gave the place the ambiance of a school cafeteria. I recommend trying Jordan Valley Restaurant on New Warrington or Mediterranean Plus on 9th Avenue instead.

Lunch today in their new location. Very busy, could use another server. Had the gyro sandwich ... delicious.

Not the best Greek food in the world, but it's decent if you're craving it. Their hours blow. I think they're only open for lunch. Decor is cheesy, but whatever. I agree with others that it seems like it has sat too long before serving it.

I liked what I had (baba ganoush) and my husband (who doesn't really like Mediterranean cuisine) liked it too. I need to come back here!

I ordered 1 fountain drink,a small greek salad with grilled chicken with the side of black olives. I was charged $10.50. The salad was served in a tiny foam bowl with a few unimpressive semi-green tomato wedges, no chicken, a good amount of feta, and maybe 3 half slices of cucumber. No pepperocini as shown in the picture on yelp. The salad was topped with warm flatbread. Again, no chicken. Obviously I felt I was mis-charged, no receipt was given though, so hard to prove. The side consisted of halved kalamata olives, which are not black. They are purple. Excellent BLACK greek olives do exist, and many types as well.... just not here at "Jordan Valley." Guess I shoulda known by the name. NEVER AGAIN.

This place is fantastic! The food is fresh and very flavorful. I have only tried the vegetarian dishes. The tabuleh (sp?) and hummus gyro sandwich and the tahini and the yogurt sauces are delicious. Check it out!
