They're the only local restaurant that efficiently and consistently caters with traditional Chinese 15 course banquet food. I'm talking stuff you find in San Fran and big city Chinatowns. It's only available on the catering menu due to specialized ingredients but I'm talking shark fin soup, abalone, fresh steamed and sauteed seafood, roast quail, jellyfish (absolute best in the country in my opinion) - the works. If you're ever lucky to be invited to a local Asian wedding, you've probably had their food. I've also been going to their buffet for years; their stir fry dishes are the best and unlike their competitors, actually cook lots of dishes with vegetables instead of just pandering to what they think Americans only want (meat). Try their custom soup bar - so good!

Everything looked old. Everything tasted old. Even the ice cream tasted old. How can you mess ice cream up? This place was better a couple years ago, what happened?

It was OK, the food seemed to have been sitting out for awhile.

I used to love coming here as a young kid, but this last time as an adult i went and it was not as good as i remember. few selections, and i threw up about 20 min after eating. I used to love this place when it first opened up, but the quality has gone down hill. MSG overload!

We ordered out not knowing that it was an AYCE restaurant, as the website doesn't give you practically any information on the place. The price was what I expected, and you got a good amount of food for your money but the food just wasn't up to par, imo. We had a huge piece of cooked egg in our egg drop soup, like they just dropped it in and let it hard boil. The sweet and sour chicken was stuck together in giant clumps, and some were just large pieces of breading without any chicken. The food wasn't terrible, just not that great.

Always consistently good: food and service is friendly. I eat there frequently. It's a good value.

My test for Chinese restaurants is their Egg-Drop soup. If they can make this well, then I look at their food in a much happier light. Unfortunately, Happy China's egg drop soup was bland. It had the texture, but the taste just wasn't there. I know that Chinese take-out is known for their greasiness, but this place went a wee bit overboard. Lots of grease, but no spices. I had to add soy sauce, pepper and garlic to practically everything we ordered. The price for everything was pretty cheap. After I doctored the food, my family ate for another day. I ordered the Mongolian Beef expecting it to be spicy as advertised, but I was sorely disappointed. My husband's shrimp and chicken dish was spicy. His, actually, wasn't too bad. I was just overall disappointed in the food. The customer service was very family oriented. They were very kind to my daughter and even gave her a deck of cards while she waited. (We did take out) I just wish the food matched the service.

For Chinese, I always go to Happy China on Mobile Highway. The quality is good, and prices are attractive.

I walked it with low expectations, boy was I surprised, it was worse than what I was expecting. First you walk in and it is a sad attempt at Chinese decor. The food is worse everything was overdone and just a sad excuse for cooking.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
