While visiting Pensacola on a business trip, this restaurant was recommended to us by the front desk at Holiday Inn express. While the building itself is a typical building that you might find any restaurant in, the food and the service were really quite good. The boyfriend had a ten inch steak burrito which was amazingly delicious and a chicken quesadilla flavorful juicy and spicy Unfortunately they were out of the pork dish that I ordered but I ended up having an enchilada special that was also very very good If you order a large margarita, be prepared to stay a while. It's served in a bird bath and is quite delicious I'll definitely come back when in the area again

Horrible! There was a party of six of us, when our food arrived the server told my husband and our friend that what they had ordered they were out of, my husband ordered a shrimp dinner and our friend steak. The server should have been told once she brought the orders to the cook, or they should have been told earlier in the day that they were running low on shrimp and steak! Ridiculous.... Thie staff were not at all organized, and my food was cold and disgusting. I didn't eat but a couple of bites and couldn't eat the rest. The server did apologize to us but in my opinion I felt the manager should have came to the table and apologizeed himself and offered at least a discount. Once I returned home I called the restaurant and spoke to a man that could barely speak english and probably not understand english either! I asked to speak to the owne/manager and he told me he wasn't there, I then asked for the manager's name and this man hung up the phone on me. I found him to be rude and disrespectful. I called back and spoke to another man and he told me to call back tomorrow, I tried to explain to him what had happened when we in the restaurant and he acted very uninterested. These employees are very unorganized and unprofessional staff who operates this Mexicn restaurant! I would never recommend this restaurant to anyone. I rate Casa Ole "0" Margaret D.

Went there for dinner on a Wednesday night. Had decent expectations going into the meal. The service is pretty lousy and the waiters seem like they want nothing to do with you other than bring food out. The problems arose when the food arrived. Disgusting, bland, greasy food is how I would describe it. Both me and the other person I brought couldn't eat two bites. We asked nicely if they could switch it out and instead we got and extremely rude and unprofessional manager. He decided to make a big deal of the situation and refused to give us a refund or exchange our food for something else. He told us nobody ever complains about the food and his food was "authentic Mexican food". Its frozen food brought in on trucks topped with sauce to hide the tasteless food. That's not authentic at all. After he went away, the entire staff was afraid of talking to us and would no longer make eye contact with us. We sat there for about 10 more minutes and the manager was eyeing us the whole time thinking we were going to leave without paying. Keep in mind the dinner was no more than 19 dollars. After we got home, we both felt sick the next day. Overall, horrendous service, disgusting food and decent atmosphere. I would not recommend this place to anyone who likes good Mexican food. Pass and you will be thankful you didn't have to suffer through one bite.

I live around the corner and eat here a couple times a month. Food is amazing! I haven't had anything that was not delicious. The service is great, no complaints here. Margaritas are good and it's a great atmosphere! Ole!!! Amazing!

Let me start off by saying that I love this place. However, this is where I go when I want to just eat greasy, delicious food... And lots of it. You get a lot of bang for your buck. The vegetarian fajitas and burritos are so so good and are consistently good every time that I get them. The staff has always been friendly to me but I don't expect my servers to go above and beyond the call of duty. They refill my salsa and my water and that's all that I require.

The Good: One of the most clean and classy looking interiors of any Mexican restaurant in Pensacola. The margaritas were tasty. The Bad: Was not greeted with a friendly face. No host staff, the wait staff seats you and it seems like none of them wants to work there. Our waiter was basically just an order taker, when we asked about a menu item he, in broken English, spoke so quickly we could just barely understand him. Now don't get me wrong, I have no problem with bilingual waiters. The issue is if your customers can't understand you how can you give them good service? The Ugly: Absolutely the worst food I have been served EVER. The food obviously came off the truck frozen then microwaved with a cheap, manufactured sauce ladled over it. The sauce was not even close to authentic, it had a dark brown-red color and it tasted like BBQ sauce. My wife and daughter could not continue eating after just one bite. It was so bad they didn't want to replace their dinner with another menu choice. We paid for our drinks and left without anybody asking why we didn't like the food. It was as if it had happened so many times it was expected. Where was the manager? Did they employ a manager? Conclusion: Do yourself a favor and DO NOT waste your time or money on this place if you want good or even palatable food. The only positive would be if you live in the area and are craving a good margarita.

This place was one of my favorites but I was disappointed last time I visited. It was a holiday so it was not busy, food was greasy and bland, waiter took a while to bring us the check. This seems to be a trend when they are not busy. I hope they recover and bring it back up.

Went Wednesday night and the food was outstanding, as usual. The $1 margaritas might not make you do Daffy Duck backflips after one, but six or seven should make you feel it. I had the enchilada plate (four standard-size ground beef) and could barely finish what I had. The chips were hot and fresh, cooked in clean fat, and the salsa was delicious, if not a bit oniony for my taste. For standard, Americanized Mexican food, I heartily recommend Casa Ole, although I did have a Brazilian friend at UWF that loved--loved!--the steak here. For this area of town, and if I am craving Mexican grub, I always think of CO.

We're from Texas & thought this was our chain Casa Ole we have at home. Well it wasn't. Lol the food was ok. It's not tex mex. I'd give this place 2 1/2 stars.

The Taco Salad was good and the Salsa was better and very fresh. The Margarita's are awesome. Hate we didn't come during Happy Hour. I will come back again. The service was good and fast....yet the server made us feel that we were unwelcomed, unannounced house guests. Their facial expression was, OMG not another person here to eat!!!

Went here the other day. The staff was not very friendly, and saw a roach crawling on the table. I've had previous positive experiences, so I will most likely try again in the future.

Great service, great food and very clean! The meals are cheap and fresh and the servers are extremely courteous. Try it out, in my opinion it's much better than Vallartas.

Awful. Everything was awful. Unfortunately this place has gone down hill, which is sad, because I live so freaking close to the place. Having a good restaurant but five blocks away? Would be nice, but nope! We went when it was quiet. The food was greasy. Very greasy. I expect that sort of thing at a dive restaurant, which given the building and the feel, this place should not be that. I had the Mango margarita. That was the nastiest drink I have ever drank. I'd drink shots of jager before I'd have another of those. It was thick, syrupy and it had a really foul after taste. I do not believe there was even in a drop of tequila in it. Our server was Jesus. ( Yes, we found Jesus, and yes, we know, in Spanish it's pronounced differently, but it was about our only amusement for the place. ) Jesus was a horrible server. Absolutely horrible. I'm used to dealing with servers at Mexican places not having a lot of English. That's okay, as we all need to work, and we all need money to pay the bills. That wasn't the problem. Jesus ignored us! He did the absolute minimal, did not pre-bus, did not check in on us. He took our order, and the foodrunner brought out our meals and drinks. He finally dropped the check after we were done for well over 10 minutes. It was not busy. We were one of two tables in the main dining room.

I had the shrimp quesadilla, which was delicious. Clean, family friendly. Advertised $1 margaritas on Wednesdays.

My husband and I live right around the corner from Casa Ole so we decided to give it a try tonight. Overall we both agreed that we would come back again. The atmosphere is good and the service was great all throughout the meal. We both got the 2 for 1 draft beer special that they offered tonight which was a good deal. We got the Casa Ole sampler for an appetizer and talk about a disappointment. The only thing that was really good was the quesadilla. The other items were two TINY "wing dings" that they read as their jumbo wings in mexican hot sauce , two jalepeno poppers, and a chicken finger that was cut in half to look like it was two of them (more or less to fill the plate) and two mozzarella sticks! disappointed because I have seen all these exact same items in the frozen aisle's in big bulk bags at Sam's club. Not so much on the authentic side. That was really the only negative aspect to the night. My husband ordered the steak fajitas and they looked, smelled, and tasted amazing! best I have seen in a while. Very tender and seems like they marinate them or have a delicious glaze they are tossed into. I got the pick three. I ordered the chile relleno (I have to everywhere I go), a chicken burrito and chicken chimichanga. All good, the burrito was my least favorite. The chicken was on the dry side and didn't seem to be seasoned with anything! I was pouring chaluhla on every bite. All in all it was good, very reasonably priced. The manager also came over to make sure we both enjoyed our evening and with a background of restaurant management that is very important. I feel if they made a few changes and eliminated using the frozen bulk items that make them look bad and did more from scratch (because we all know they can) I feel that would give Casa Ole that special touch that would bring people back and attrack a new crowd from around the corner La Hacienda. Great job though Casa Ole!

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
