Went to this restaurant because of the reviews here on yelp and the fact that they share their name with a place in Manhattan that we loved (unrelated). Roasted chicken and calamari was delicious and the lomo saltado was favored very well. The staff was very attentive and all the food was fresh. My wife had a glass of sangria that was just okay, but every this else was great, including fresh squeezed lemonade that my daughter and I loved. I would return.

We came with very high expectations but unfortunately the food was not as good as the reviews in 2012. We asked for lomo saltado, but it wasn't the lomo saltado we are used to eat... For people who knows how a lomo saltado taste, this can't name lomo saltado.

I went to this place a few times for La Bandeja Paisa which is good, everything fresh, decent potions and affordable prices. The owner a Colombian guy really knows how to treat his customers very polite and talkative. The service was fast. I recommend you to try El sancocho which is really good and fresh

The food is here delish! I come for their chicken soup w avocado and keep coming back for the amazing service. The waiters are very polite and acommodating. Sangria was very good too. The passion fruit juice is awesome. Counts as dessert because it's pretty sweet.

This is by far the best Columbian restaurant in the area. The service is always prompt and friendly. The owner Andres does a great job and is kind and personable. The food is fantastic! Their grilled chicken with onions is excellent and the meals come with two sauces, one garlic and one spicy jalapeño, both are excellent additions to any meal. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a quality meal at a reasonable price.

I choose Pio Pio on my last vacation to Orlando as my girlfriend is Spanish. I made a reservation several weeks in advance however once I arrived I was told they don't accept reservations. I was frustrated however my girlfriend stepped in and spoke Spanish to the staff indicating our dissatisfaction. We were eventually seated and my girlfriend placed our ordered which consisted of Sangria as well as sweet plantains and several other ethnic dishes. The food was very good but we agreed we would probably not return based upon the fact that the service was mediocre and our experience in getting a table

Not having been to a Peruvian chicken joint in quite some time, we were SO excited to stop by Pio Pio. We were there at lunch, and it was pretty quiet, so we had the place almost to ourselves. We both ordered a lunch special including a quarter-chicken, a side, rice and beans. Everything was fresh and tasty, well seasoned and delicious. The beans were on the salty side, but flavorful. Whoever said watery may be expecting Mexican refried?! That's not what these are supposed to be. The chicken was moist and juicy. I don't usually go for the skin, but this was irresistible: charred and not too greasy with awesome spices. I had a chicha morada, refreshing with pieces of apple in it. Also on the table was a mora (blackberry) shake, which was reportedly so good the orderer was unable to save me a sip. Service was prompt and friendly.

This place was bought and is under new management! I normally order to go but I should stop by one of these days... the food is tastier now and the place looks a lot better ;-) If you are in the area, you should give it a try ;-)

Always amazing. Not much where ambiance is concerned but excellent food and decent service. Great for lunch or dinner. Sangria is delicious! Parking is sometimes an issue but there are plenty of spots open around the front of the plaza.

This place is just not for me. The decor is ok but the service is horrible ( at least when I went). I waited for someone to come to my table for 10 minutes and then finally when the food arrived...25 minutes later, I was so disappointed. The chicken was dry, the rice was bland, and the beans were watery. When I told the server that my chicken was dry she said that for that reason is that they give you sauce on the side. She gave me attitude and walked away. I left that place and took her tip with me (shrug). *Perhaps I should give it a second chance.....maybe

Pio Pio has some of the best chicken in town. They should - they are known for their Chick on the Grill. :-) Every time we go, the chicken is cooked perfectly and is fresh and juicy. This location is a bit hidden since it is in a strip mall next to Big Lots and behind KFC. The service is great.

I usually go to the Pio Pio on I-drive, and it's better than this location, which is missing something. Perhaps it's the crowd. This location was very slow and quiet, while the other location is always bustling with people and has a certain energy to it. I'm also more comforted when a place is busy and they're constantly making fresh food to fulfill the turnover, versus a slow restaurant where I'm worried the food is being stretched for too long. The food here was good. They offer a $6.50 lunch special of Chicken, Rice & beans, and drink. This is very reasonable for the quality of food you're getting, but I think I'd still rather spend a buck or two more and go to the I-drive location for the full-fledged experience. The chicken was good, the beans tasted not quite as good, and the sauces were not quite the same (not necessarily worse, but not better either). Again - it could be a mental block due to the lack of patrons, but somehow for as much as I like the I-drive Pio Pio, this experience left me only 85-90% satisfied. I realize this review sounds critical, but I did like the food (I'm giving it 4 stars), but do yourself a favor and go to the one on I-Drive & Kirkman before you judge Pio Pio.

Everytime we leave this restaurant, I walk away feeling completely satisfied. I have tried everything on the menu and they can not go wrong. The Ceviche is perfect. My favorite meal is the Skirt Steak. Tender and tasty. The chicken is yummy. Everything is fresh and made to order. Even the lemondae is fresh squeezed! What makes each plate well rounded are the choices of Yuca, Plaintain, Tostone and the rice and beans all served with the most INCREDIBLE sauce, garlic or jalapeno. Drizzle it on everything, is my motto!

What a great meal! Had the half-chicken combination with rice, beans, fried yuca. Chicken cooked perfectly and the food flavorful, fresh, and delicious! The restaurant is in a strip mall beside the Big Lots and we would never have gone except for the Yelp reviews, but we were delighted with the food and the super-friendly service.

Being a latin, living in the latin mecca known as Miami, I entered this place with a slight bit of trepidation. I mean, really, Peruvian in Orlando? Let's just say, this place was incredible. The food was tasty, better than many of the places I've been to back home! The staff was super friendly as well, and THAT was refreshing as well. Go. Affordable, good portions, super tasty!
