We just moved into the area so this was our first time here. With only five Yelp reviews, we weren't sure what to expect. I am pleasantly surprised. With a large family, I had a large order. After finishing up my order, she told me the total. It was clear that I wasn't expecting the order to be $65.00. She asked how many I was feeding and helped me get the price down to fifty bucks by making substitutions and other suggestions. Any place putting customer service ahead of initial profit has already made me the happiest customer around. Naturally I was already happy when we sat down to eat. It could have been mediocre food and I would have been happy, but the food was excellent. The egg rolls were deep fried perfectly, not at all greasy. The Krab Rangoon had a nice flavor, and were well stuffed. The rice and noodles were flavorful, and not overly salty like many take out places. The beef and broccoli were tender and not mushy. The sesame chicken had a pleasant sweetness, but not overly syrupy. So while this place may not be gourmet food, it is the best take out I have had in a long time, if not ever. We are happy with this place and will gladly return here.

I've been coming to this little takeout place for the past few months for their lunch specials. I make it a point to try as many of the 40 or so offered. The ingredients are fresh, portions are generous, only $6.35 out the door! Definitely worth considering for takeout. The owners are from Fuzhou, China. Fuzhou cuisine is one of the four subsets of Fujian cuisine, which is one of the Eight Great Traditions of Chinese cuisine. Fuzhou cuisine's taste is light compared to other styles, often with a mixed sweet and sour taste. Fuzhou is famous for its soups.

Best Chinese food around this area. Ive tried them all near by and usually there is something I don't like. I ordered a decent amount of food from here and it was amazing! Pork fried rice was amazing, lots of flavor. The honey chicken and sweet and sour chicken was full of flavor too. I also got a couple of other things. Oh, the sesame chicken I usually don't like it at most places here I have to say is my favorite. China wok do not change!!

Let me first start off by saying that my wife and I began coming here about a week after they opened. The very first trip here was not a great experience BUT they were only open for a week and with a family owned and family operated business, there is bound to be a few kinks. We gave them about a month to work out the challenges and went back. The food had been consistently good ever since. Last week I was looking at places I have not been to since I started Yelping and saw China Wok. I was actually surprised there were only a few reviews and when I read them I was surprised that they were inconsistent and only a few. Well it has been a while since I was last there so I wondered if the place had slipped since my last visit and today I was in the mood for some hot n sour soup again! Usually my wife just stops for some takeout because they have a small dining area and are really setup for takeout. I chose to dine in so I could see first hand what was up. When I walked in, everything was just as I remembered it including the young lady that always works the register. She just happens to be the owner's daughter and is always very personable. I ordered a small hot n sour soup, spring rolls, Singapore Chow Mei Fun and a bottle of water. The total came to $13.75 Since I was being kind of indecisive with my order, it was no surprise my order came out a piece at a time because they are really geared for take out and I know that. First out was the hot n sour soup and it was piping hot. That first spoon was just as I remembered it so our course I had to see if my fried noodles were crispy or soggy. It was pretty apparent that these were recently fried because they were NOT stale at all. One thing I hate is stale fried noodles with my soup. The soup itself has a nice balance of hot and sour and as usual it has the SAME flavor. Another pet peeve of mine is when the hot n sour soup varies in flavor trip to trip but never here! Next out was the spring rolls... Light and crispy on the outside and an flavorful filling on the inside. The ONLY difference is they were VERY hot because I was dining in and not getting them after a 10 minute trip home in the car. As I was finishing my spring rolls up, the Singapore Chow Mei Fun arrived. I have had Singapore Chow Mei Fun years back while on business in San Francisco. My client took me to a place in China Town that served up some of the best Chinese food I have ever had I have to say that if it was on a fancy plate in a posh setting with a garnish and NOT in a take out container... You would not have been able to tell the difference... WELL DONE is what I have to say... It also did not cost $45 and that was back in 1997. For OVERALL food TASTE - 5 (TASTE is KEY) For dining ATMOSPHERE - 3 (It is a take out joint so what did you expect) For SERVICE - 5 (Great customer service and a smile go a long way) BONUS - She actually remembered my wife by her order and described her to me. I was actually surprised by that because we rarely go there together. In the past I have had the General Tso and it was very good but I would have liked a wee bit more heat in it. The Moo Goo Gai Pan which was perfect in my opinion. The Shrimp with lobster sauce just needed a wee bit of salt for me but that is what soy sauce is for anyway. The Sesame chicken was off the chain good. The bourbon chicken was also very good. The ONLY complaint I truly had tonight was that the soy sauce bottle on the table was almost empty but again... What do you expect in a place that does 90% take out? Nobody's perfect but the food WILL NOT DISAPPOINT YOU!

Won't be back. Got chicken noodle and rice soups to go. Broth is heavy and oily, and bland and chicken rubbery, crispy noodles stale.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
