We were very pleased to find a bagel store that is 'almost' as good as some NY bagels. Their selection is great. The bagels are very well seeded and also have a great taste and texture. Just discovered the cheddar/jalapeno ones today and they are kickin'. Now....if we can find pizza like NY I could die in peace.

I give it five stars because in Naples and it's got the best bagles without question. Great spreads as well. And fresh bialys too. This was my first visit and I found the service to be just fine. No issues. On an absolute basis, I'd only give it three stars. But to get anywhere north of three one has to drive to Florida's east coast. The bagels are fine but the guzintas are limited. No smoked fish offerings. No chopped liver. Short variety of cream cheese offerings.

On a scale of O to Bagel, this is Amazing. Some of the best bagels I have had, especially down in Naples. This is how bagels should look and taste. I got the Nova Lox bagel sandwich and it was great. Their French toast bagel was so good....it's just a regular bagel that tastes like French toast, but you eat it normal with your hands. It has some sort of syrup on it, but it's not dripping off and not overly sweet either. The breakfast sandwiches with eggs are really good too.....you would never want to get a breakfast sandwich from a fast food place again. The coffee was really good too. I plan on going back!

I'm from New York. These bagels are not even remotely comparable to NY bagels BUT halfway decent for a Florida bagel. Dare I say, better than most South Jersey bagels I've had. I was impressed that they had an egg everything, which is a rarity outside of Long Island. Overall, weird place. It's pretty gigantic for bagels and they didn't have enough items to fill all the counter space. It was fine for passing through on my way back home to real bagels though.

READ THIS FIRST: After a very rude and bad experience I had given this place 2 stars based on that experience and lack of action by management. However I have continued to go there over the years because the bagels, althought very pricey, are the about the best in town.

  • JJ K.

Not comparable to a New York bagel. Menu prices are too high. You are better off going to a chain like Panera or Einstiens if you want a bagel like this. I gave this place 2 chances. Won't be coming back.

Have never had a bad bagel experience here. Bagels and spreads are great. Lots of flavor, lots of variety and the bagels taste great. Best in the area. Staff is also great. Can't go wrong here with the bagels or the egg sandwiches.

Wow! What a great Jewish Deli in Naples! We got great bagels, lox, and cream cheese there for a party. Very nice and helpful people work behind the counter. They have a great variety of bagels, flavored cream cheeses and awesome Rughelah! Yum! The Apricot and raspberry rughelah were great! Perfect for any east coaster that has relocated to Florida or is planning an Oneg Shabbat!

I used to love this place, the bagels are amazing, but the customer service is lousy! I had one guy throw a fit at me when he was the one who got my order wrong, three times! Despite me standing there and telling him what I wanted. Horrible! Ill never go back!

Let me start off my saying that the bagels here were amazing. Bacon, egg, and cheese on plain, cream cheese and lox on a jalapeño cheddar bagel, and cream cheese on Asiago were all superb. For that alone, the establishment would have received a full 5 stars. However, the service was laughable at best. Each member of the staff was absent minded and seemed to not pay attention to the requests of their customers. The man (owner?) who was taking our orders and payment allowed us to order three items which they had sold out of. Ok, fine. We changed up our orders and left satisfied just the same. The same man then continued to charge one of our party for two bagels and when she returned to the register/ counter to inform the staff of this issue, the same man simply stated, "well I can't resell this, so you can just keep it," neglecting to understand that he made a mistake and ought to have fixed it. Attempting to explain to him that we were charged for this bagel was fruitless, as he continued to speak over us and essentially ignore the fact he had made a mistake. Furthermore, the kitchen staff did not provide us with all of the items on our ticket. We had to ask them twice to provide us with our cold foods. To be honest, I don't know what the issue was with the service here because the food was great. Management ought to read the posted Yelp reviews and take notes.

These are EXACTLY what's been missing from my life! Seriously they are comparable to NY. I wouldn't say they're the best NY has to offer however they're good!! They're like an average NY bagel. Yes the staff could use some manners however it's worth it. YUM. Try the everything.

  • Christina M.

Meh. While the bagels are very good and the lox spread was something worth writing home to, the service was below average and the tables were dirty and the prices were ridiculously high. Also the presentation was lacking. I walked in and saw an empty pastry case and a cashier attendant that looked annoyed to take my order. Smile lady, you are in the service industry, if you can't be the least bit friendly then you have the wrong job. I would understand if it was busy and the place was a mess, but we were 1 of 3 patrons sitting at tables. Unacceptable. I would come back but only take my bagels to go.

I recently went on a mission to find the best bagels in Naples for a work client of very high standards. I visited 8 places (panera, Eisntein, Empire, EJ's Bayfront, Skillets, etc)....this place is best for bagels no question about it. They're fresh, soft, and fluffy, slight crisp to the bottom. As close to New York as you're gonna get without being geographically near. Kudos to the employees working there today (3-27-15). They seem to be the perfect balance of lightning fast & efficient, but yet they don't rush you in any way. Recommend this joint to anyone...it's worth the drive.

Owner and workers were pleasant. Do not think he knows about the poor reviews on service, didn't have the heart to tell him. You order and sit down till they call you. Nothing special here. Came with a group. They all got their sandwiches and fancy salads first, guess my simple little side salad took longer to grow? I had to get up and ask for it. My hubby had the muffins and said they lacked taste. Dressing was good but I was bored with the menu. Asked for Gluten Free and veggie items, worker said many people ask as well.... however...... Nice eat in area, private parking lot, not much more to write home about Momma.

Worst run business in Naples ! Over priced - underdone bagels. Anyone from New York will know this is lousy quality and the worst service! Many mornings they have no bagels. They charge 1.35 for a bagel and 3.18 for one with cream cheese. $ 1.65 for a lousy schmear !

    (1)
  • Jim S.

Excellent New York style bagels. Be even better if they'd put the toppings (garlic, salt, sesame seeds, whatever) on both sides of the bagel.

Bagels and flat bagels are OK (not great). Salmon, cream cheese fairly good, although they have no clue how to slice Nova. The service is absolutely appalling; SLOW, totally disorganized, nobody is in charge and permanently understaffed (weekend mornings, forget it). I tried them several times over 2 months. Walking-in is hopeless, so I started calling my orders after being assured, that a separate cash register was available for pick-up orders. Not true. On 2 occasions I came to pick-up the order and the line had over 15 people in it, so after the hopelessly inefficient cashier took 5 minutes to process the first person, I simply went home and called to cxl the pick-up. Also, if you go that route you must double check the bag, since they often mix things up and your order is either incomplete or wrong altogether. Today was my LAST attempt - I called in, someone answered and asked me to hold just one second. After 8 minutes I hung up. Too bad.

Not impressed with the staff these days..not at all! Wondering, is this under new ownership or something? Doesnt seem like anyone gives a shit! nothing is consistant

  • Chris B.

While the service is a little slow the food is terrific! Even a sign that says line forms here would be a good start. The entrance doesn't have a good flow when you walk in.

On first try, I loved the everything bagel. The service was nice. On the following trips (I was becoming a frequent customer), the service went down. Counter help was not friendly and when I suggested they make a buy so many bagels get the last one free (like they do for breakfast meals), he just rolled his eyes at me. I let that slide though since I really liked the bagels. Also, there was no recognition as a regular customer. No genuine appreciation. The last bagel I had sucked. Nothing to write home about. So, it's inconsistent. I think they only care about quality when season is here. They don't care about locals. The place is super dirty. Gross floors and seats. Unattractive. Again, they don't care about the customers. The muffins aren't covered up. I think there is definitely a health hazard thing going on. The last time I went, the kid behind the counter didn't toast the bagel really. My Mom asked if she could have it toasted again, so it looks toasted. He just rudely grabbed the bagel out of her hands and then proceeded to "toast" it. He BURNED it. Then tried to hide it by putting them together. She noticed and said "Hey, you burned it." Then he gave her major attitude. Some other helper (family member) came in and took over. Overall, they are your stereotypical rude New Yorkers (no offense to the millions of awesome New Yorkers - I'm talking about the stereotypical rude ones) who don't care about their customers, who make a potentially health hazard below par bagel. Just go to Einsteins.

    (1)
  • B G.

We New Yorkers are always on a rush and a bit rude, but efficient and quick. Food was average, coffee was below par, and employees didn't seem confident in their service.

Went for Cheese Danish today (Memorial Day). No Cheese Danish. Said they ran out of dough and wouldn't have any till late Wednesday. They can't tell they are running out of dough?! Hmmm.

back in Straight From New York again today for lunch this time...had a toasted ET with Chicken Salad, swiss, let&Tomato...was off the charts good...new owner has turned this place into a crave for me...

  • Danielle L.

Finally decided to try this place the other day, since I have passed the "hot bagels" sign many many times and always wondered if it was good. Got a powerhouse bagel with veggie cream cheese and it was delicious! Chewy on the outside and soft in the middle. I would definitely recommend this place!

    (4)
  • M. D.

The Yelp reviewers nailed it. Fair bagel but surly service. If the New York bagel experience is to be served by someone who doesn't want to be there, then this place has it down pat! Also they ran out of sesame bagels by 8am..

  • Julie C.

This place is awesome. I live in Boston and every time I visit my parents I come here and get an everything bagel toasted with veggie cream cheese. Amazing!
