Excellent place if you've hot to feed kids and family. However their food was great regardless. I could not remember what I ad as I'm posting this review a few weeks later. But all of their stuff was excellent. Can't go wrong here. Great customer service also

Food here is phenomenal--margherita pizza is the best in Naples. Must try the italian wings also. So good. Staff was helpful and had great recommendations. Ambiance is OK--nothing spectacular. Take out is quick and catering is great too! Two for lunch was about $30, we felt that was great for the quality and portions. Enjoy!

It's the okayiest pizza I've had. The strongest flavor was the spinach. It won't disappoint you, just won't wow you. The restaurant is clean and decor is nice. The service is good too.

Tasty pizza and great eggplant parm. Interior is mighty cramped but I prefer to take out.

We actually have been coming here for years. The rolls are the first turn off. Like very doughy. Seems like. Salad mista is excellent, and the clams with linguine really good! Lots of clans in the shells. The wire pizza is also definitive! And it's nice to have an occasional group on! Also really like the bolognese. Servers are good.

My husband and I came here last night and had the margarita pizza with Italian bacon and pineapple. It was DELICIOUS! The atmosphere is great! The servers are always attentive to refilling our drinks, very nice and friendly. The food comes out fast, no waiting time. They give you bread with olive oil while you wait on food. Place is clean! We had the cheesecake as dessert and it was very good as well. Five stars all the way!

Tonight was the first time I have ever been to this place and I am happy that I finally got to try their pizza. I ordered the Italiano pizza and loved it. I'm not usually a fan of thin crust pizza but this is one of the best thin crust pizza I have ever had. I am definitely going to coming back!

We were looking for a quick dinner close to the Naples Grande. This place is about a mile away and other yelpers seem to love it. We were seated immediately and our server quickly appeared. The fresh baked garlic rolls suitable for olive oil and pepper dipping are always a good treat. The house and Caesar side salads were well prepared. I've never had the pizza appear before I could even finish my Caesar salad. The thin crust pizza was phenomenal. New York City and Venice Italy pictures and motif. Reasonably priced, overall a very impressive place.

Rosedale shares a small building space with Starbucks on Pine Ridge Rd. It's a bit difficult to turn in and park, but the pizza is worth it. We dined in and had a terrific waitress on a Sunday evening. We shared a Mista salad, mixed greens with dried cranberries, walnuts, and gorgonzola cheese. It was a good starter. We shared two pizzas, the margherita and the Italiano that had pepperoni, hot Italian sausage, and roasted red peppers. The crust was thin and crispy and the toppings were well prepared and tasty. We will definitely stop here again, but only for takeout. Dining in wasn't the best experience. Our waitress was very good, but the music was a bit loud (and generic...how about some Frank Sinatra?), the bathrooms needed attention (not very clean and no soap), and the manager was unpleasant. He just stood and lorded over the waitresses. So takeout it is.

Our caesar was excellent. Great dressing and croutons. Perfect for 2 (the sharing size). Ordered pizza well done. And it was good. A little more cheese would have been better but it was a good pizza. The rest of he menu looks good. Will come back to try. Our service was slow and not great. May eat at bar next time.

Woah! This place is bomb! Eggplant Parm and Veggie Lasagna are killer, and huge too. Absolutely delightful and helpful staff as well. Going back, today? Yeah, I'm going today.

By far the best pizza we've had in SW Florida. Delicious thin crust pizza, crispy and slightly blackened on the bottom like a real pizzeria..to us. My only complaint is the portion size. I found out the hard way they don't offer small medium or large. I ordered two 'large' pizzas to feed 3 grown men and arrived to 2 alarmingly puny, personal sized pizzas. It's a good thing we ordered apps and antipasti. If only the daft girl over the phone had cared to take the time to tell me that there is only one size when I clearly asked for 'large' we probably would have ordered another one to feed everybody. Oh well. Other than that one discrepancy I will certainly be back because of the quality alone. we may have to try the tiramisu as well.

Rosedale was hyped by a friend that loves their Bolognese gravy. First of all. The wait staff seemed very untrained and the atmosphere seemed like a mini Carabbas with comparable pricing. I did not see any value here. The Gemelli Amatriciana was so bland... I watched my wife put salt and pepper and red pepper on over and over. My Rigatoni Bolognese was OK... The meat lacked some zest. I prefer more sauce "gravy" in it to make it stick to the pasta. Especially rigatoni with all those ridges to hold the sauce. Oh yeah... We shared the meatballs. BLAH! We ended it there. Felt no desire to explore any other menu items. Left in a disappointment that saddened me. I wondered if they even think they are Italian. No breads offered or a decent salad with the meal. This is just a blah place in a blah spot with blah food and blah ambience. Take away a star again for my wife's opinion. BLAH!

Full of flavor! Excellent food-best in Naples. I was solo and sat at the kitchen bar. I was amazed and thoroughly entertained watching the 3 chefs prepare and finish all the plates at break neck speed. Well DONE!

We come here a lot, we love the pizza. They use fresh mozzarella cheese unless you ask for shredded, their salads are always fresh. The service can be spotty though and they could improve their customer service policy.

Soggy pizza & 'dead-in-the-eyes' servers. Grouchy owners & amazing wings! Seriously, get the wings, but ask for the lemon wings, the way they did it when they opened, you need to stress the LEMON to the wings because zombie 'who-cares' waitress has zero care for your want or need as a customer, the servers here are horrendous... My parents claim there is a great server that works at night, but in this place, you have a better shot at finding Bigfoot to give you better attention. Used to come here a lot to support the local biz people, but Jo & Joe seemed not to care, so any 'these guys are great hosts' are clearly written by their friends... they are grumps, their servers are bottom of the barrel, pizza soggy... but good wings when done right! I give 3 stars because there's a guy in the kitchen, wears a NY hat all the time (Giants or Yankees) who is above & beyond a great host, welcomes people while the waitress caught at the door, who is stuck greeting you, stares blankly...., NY hat guy says good-bye, while the staff & owners just stare blankly as customers come & go... NY ball-cap guy should open his own place... unless he's the pizza maker. ... but the wings are really, really, really good... Plus, they had 'Abbott & Costello meet Frankenstein' playin one time, so that, wings, & NY guy in kitchen gets 3 stars. HIRE BETTER SERVERS!! .....soggy pizza........ had to be said.... one more time.... soggy pizza....

My family and I ate here will visiting during Easter weekend. We had the margherita pizza and the pasta primavera. The food was superb, tasted very fresh. The pizza was delicious and a good size for 1-2 persons. I definitely recommend this place! Thanks to Roxana for the great service!

I have eaten here many times and this place does a few things really well, like the brick oven pizza, pasta dishes, and salads. I have no idea how some yelpers gave this a low rating but this place has been an easy 5 for me. Great family meal spot.

  • Sal N.

A lot of hype around this place but the facts are the foods pretty good the portions are pretty small and the prices are average. The service is real lackluster and the menu is too limited and faux "true" Italian for me. Being an Italian American I know the food and the culture pretty well, and the menu comes across as limited and peculiar. Id give 2 stars but the two times I've gone the food has tasted good. And thats the most important to me.

I was in Naples, FL for a couple of days but I usually spend every summer in Naples, Italy. You could only imagine the standards I have for pizza, pasta, and italian food. This place had easy parking, we got seated very quickly, the food was very good, and it wasn't super fancy. I was able to get a table with an outlet so I could charge my phone during the meal, they were playing the original little rascals on a small tv by the bar, and the waitress was very good. For an appetizer we got the pasta fagoli. It was very good and very authentic. also priced well. For the main course we got a shrimp rigatoni with mushrooms and spinach as well as ordering a pizza. The pasta dish was pretty traditional and tested very good. The shrimp were full of flavor and the sauce was nice... the pasta itself wasn't top quality though. The pizza we ordered (you shouldn't even review this place without trying the pizza) was the bomb dot com. It was the most authentic pizzas outside of italy. Very good mozzarella, prosciutto crudo, parmesan cheese, and greens. the sauce was delicious and the dough was just soft enough to have to be folded as to not fall over (the way it should be). In italy you mainly eat pizza and almost every other food with a fork and knife but we folded the pizza and it stayed for the couple of massive bites I was attacking it with. It seemed to be like a regular bar with take out pizzas with the other half of the place as a restaurant. I have to take a point off though for the pasta itself and the waitress/specials board for never telling us the price of the pasta dish (23 dollars!!) - that's something that should have been told. All in all it was 50 dollars with tip and I was full of very good authentic food and my cell phone was charged in the process. a little upset about the lack of price disclosure but really they were doing italian food the right way!

Outstanding restaurant! I stopped to eat at Rosedales on a whim. Thought a pizza would hit the spot. Well, as I entered I quickly realized this was much more than just a pizza place. The large bar on the right with open kitchen behind it, spoke of real restaurant services. Since I was alone, I sat at the bar instead of tying up one of the many booths. I was quickly approached by a waitress and given a menu with info as to specials of the day, and to take my drink order. The menu was extensive and impressive. The owner was at one end of the bar managing each order going out and inspecting each plate for appearance and completeness. He even sent one plate back because the sauce over one lasagna order was not applied properly from front to back. Commenting to the chef, that that much sauce just turned the lasagna into a mushy mess, not lasagna. The food was excellent and the spaghetti firm. I will return and already recommended it too others.

This my friends is the real thing , this is what we call real italian food. I think all these new restaurants calling themselves the real thing are a joke. Bonita Springs go and see what a real italian restaurant serves. BRAVO ROSEDALE

Great little place turning out good food Oven baked sammys are fantastic - almost like a calzone and pasta is quite good too. Perfect for lunch and priced right except they give you too much food . Excellent pasta fagiole

Excellent, authentic italian wood fired 'za's. And a surprisingly good list of wines by the glass. This busy place isn't atmospheric- but the quality of the food and the chipper young staff more than makes up for the storefront feel.

Haven't been to Rosedale for a while. Their mista salad is super with dried cranberries, nuts, blue cheese...,And the basket of Hot bread and lots of oil is a vicious temptation. We love their clams (white with linguine and delicious chunks off whole sweet garlic and lots of shells!) In the past I've loved the bolognese sauce with any pasta. All the servers are terrific and i love that the boss even serves. It's such a NY feel. Roxy was super tonight, and there's a casual bustling family atmosphere. We also appreciate the occasional groupon! Molto bene Rosedale! We wish they could bring back the definitive Sunday brunch of a few years ago. Sigh!

My co-worker recommended this place for lunch, and I had always heard good things about their pizza. My first impression walking in was that the decor had a very homey, warm italian pizzeria feel to it- exactly what you would expect without expecting it, perhaps. Lunch service was not incredibly busy, which probably allowed us more buy time with our waitress. Seeing that it was my first time there, the waitress was very informative about what is popular, the availability of their lunch menu, and gave us the soup of the day. She was very much open to answering questions. All of us ordered something different off the lunch menu, which says that there was great variety. Across the table, there was an italian sandwich, lasagna, neapolitan pizza with prosciutto, and I had the meat stromboli with pasta fagioli. Lunch specials are $9.99 which include a lunch entree, soup or salad and a fountain drink. I was impressed by how our waitress handled my questions which allowed me to narrow down my choice. My portion was more than plenty for a lunch portion and it was served with marinara. The meat stromboli was seasoned well and was incredibly tasty with lots of jampacked meat and cheese. The pasta fagioli was hearty and just the right size to accompany any lunch entree. Service was quick, but I would expect that with most places that serve lunch to business people. I'd love to try this out again for dinner and update my review then. All in all, quality food, good service and definitely a breath of fresh air after having experienced poor customer service the night before!

Potentially the worst service EVER! We waited over an hour for a table when they told us 30 minutes. Ok. No big deal. Tried to sit and have a cocktail first. That took 20 minutes to get someone to even look at you. Apparently they have perfected the ability to see through people! When we finally sat down we ordered ASAP but again waited well over an hour for food! When we asked the owner he was about the rudest person I've ever encountered in Naples! He said what's the big deal it's only been an hour! He brought our food to the table with an attitude the size of Brooklyn itself! Food was fine but I have to admit I was concerned after his attitude. We also had to ask twice to get bread after watching other table get multiple baskets! To top it all off we paid for our drinks at the bar but they showed up on our check anyway! When we told our server, who was a nice girl, she asked the other not so nice girl and that girl accused us of not paying! What? It was so upsetting. We don't make a practice of not paying our bar bill! We knew exactly how much the check was and the cash we left. She was so accusatory we were horrified! Bottom line the food is fine but the extra helping of bad attitude and poor management is not worth the just ok food!

We love this place! Always delicious. Gets busy and we've had to stay away during season but now that the tourists are leaving we can go back and visit the place. Love sitting at the bar and watching the action as they cook. A must if you are in the area.

I'm giving 5 stars to help with the rating because "you people" clearly don't know your pizza. This is a Neapolitan style pizza. The crust is supposed to be "charred" and the pie is supposed to be thin. This is a quality pizza if you like the style. I eat pizza all of the eastern part of the country and this is a good pizza with fresh quality ingredients. The calamari is really good also, light breading , solid taste. If you are giving this a bad review them you really don't know food. Now, I understand not everything is great every time but the ratings I'm seeing are not true. I live in IN and just happened to stop in, I don't have anything to do with this place other than to say it is good and should be tried.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
