Really squared away little bistro. Prices are really affordable, and lots of outside seating under perky ted umbrellas have been added. Also, a magazine rack offers periodicals to share and return. Easy listening music is unobtrusive. Tuesday's luncheon special ($9.95) sounds delicious. "Szegedin" is a hearty dish of beef and boiled potatoes and cabbage. Looking forward to returning for dinner sometime.

"You had me at basil mayo." Very quiet outside seating, excellent coffee and the breakfast sandwich is quite amazing.

Don't let the name fool you. This is a tiny gem - a family restaurant with a quite talented chef. French toast was great, pancakes light with crispy edges. Loved the sausage - not same old breakfast links. Dinner was even better - we tasted everything from goulash to roast duck to schnitzel. Red cabbage was best ever. German Chocolate Cake was light with a wonderful Caramelly frosting. Everything was done well - but never overdone or fussily garnished. Kind of like eating at a close friends - if the happened to be a great cook! They are closed in the summer to return to their native Slovakia to visit family, and as another reviewer noted, are not open on Sunday. Prices are reasonable for what you get, the ambiance is casually upscale, and the owners are onsite. Even in a town where many great restaurants are tucked away in strip malls, this one will surprise and delight. Just go....

Excellent food and service and well priced breakfast. Newsstand Omelette with artichoke was outstanding, as well as blueberry pancakes.

I've eaten here 3 times now and feel I've gotten a feel for the place enough to write a solid review. The family owned place is super clean, nicely laid out, cute, family owned with about a doz tables in side and a doz outside in a semi shaded area that seems nice to sit at on a cooler day. Parking has never been an issue because they never seem to be busy enough. They are right next to NCH. The menu is very eclectic and goes from one extreme to the other. I've posted photos of the menu so you can see what I mean. Is it European or French or Asian or American?? There also isn't a lot to pick from choices wise. It's a lean menu considering the size of the kitchen and how eclectic the selections are they could add a few things to broaden the appeal of the place without going to far off the map. (Example: add different burgers and chicken dishes.) There is ZERO theme or "feel" for what direction the place is going in from the name of the biz to the type of food. It's kind of weird but then again this is Naples and we have an eclectic mix of people so maybe it works for them. Trip #1 - I had the Eggs Benedict and sadly the yolks were way over cooked and the English muffin wasn't even toasted. The fresh fruit was great. The waitress/owner gladly replaced my over cooked eggs though. The hollandaise was amazing! Service was good but there was only one other couple in the place. Trip #2 - I had the Angus burger that was over cooked and the bread was so cheap it literally fell apart so bad I ended up having to just eat the burger with my fork and knife. The burger didn't taste bad but it looked and "felt" like it was frozen pre-made. The side salad was a large serving and the homemade balsamic dressing was delish. The homemade basil mayo was a nice touch. Service was just ok. Got there at 11:15 on a Saturday and there was one other couple and then once I sat several other people showed up and the place was about 1/3 full. There was a young man as my waiter this time. He was not a bad waiter just wasn't very attentive and I had to wait and then ask for my drink to be refilled, dishes to be cleared etc. Nice guy in general but he seemed like a rookie. Trip #3 - I had the Wiener Schnitzel. I heard them pounding it out in the kitchen and when it arrived it looked fresh and tasted good but it was over cooked and seemed to miss some seasoning. Maybe I'm just spoiled by my German grandmothers cooking :) I was so hungry I didn't send it back and just dealt with it. I had French fries with it and like most places they were semi cooked and had hardly any brown color to them. I prefer my fries golden brown and cooked so I tend to be picky about this. The brown gravy was good and tasted homemade. Service was par for what I've experienced the prior two times. Overall, this isn't a bad place BUT for the prices/food/service there are a lot of better places in Naples to go. Would I go back again....yes/maybe. I love to support locally owned places and I didn't have any truly bad experiences but nothing really stood out for me and I'd rather spend my money where I can get better food, better service and more choices. I gave them 3 stars vs. 2 stars because the place was super clean and well put together. I enjoyed sitting there, listening to the classical music and that means a lot to me.

Cute place. We went for brunch. It was not the greatest place, but it is small and not overly crowded. We got good and fast service. The French toast was good....it was made from baguettes instead of big bread pieces. The Eggs Benedict was ok....not overly flavored with fake hollandaise sauce but also a little under flavored...sort of plain. It's a cute place for a quick bite, but much better places in the area.

Mediocre. Omelette? Usual hard flat thing served in diners. Not really an omelette. The rest? Really ordinary.

This is a true neighborhood gem. Fresh ingredients, expertly prepared food, and very reasonable prices make this a place not to be missed. Julius and Martina are wonderful hosts, and they will make you feel right at home in this fabulous North Naples restaurant.

We had eggs Benedict and Mediterranean omelette and they were both very good. I recommend. Nice casual atmosphere. Very nice service.

Really good breakfast but not open until 8:30 which seems very late to me (and removes any of my dad and his friends from coming here which is too bad.).

You've got to wonder a little bit about a restaurant that has spring rolls, lasagna, beef bourguignon, AND wiener schnitzel on the dinner menu. Can anyone possibly do all of those different cuisines any justice? I don't know the answer to that yet, because I have only been there once and had one meal, but I know I liked it well enough to go back for more. And more. I like wiener schnitzel so a friend recommended this place. I am still not used to Naples customs when it comes to hours, and I showed up on a Sunday when they are closed. They had the good sense to leave their carryout menus outside, though, so I was intrigued enough to return two days later. There are only about 36 seats inside and perhaps a similar number outside. The decor is pleasant. I was there on a June weeknight so parking was a breeze. I ordered the wiener schnitzel as I was told, with escargot as an appetizer. I like traditonal escargot with lots of butter and garlic under most circumstances, and the dish served at NewsStand was no exception. It came with small slices of warm french baguette. I had to ask the waitress to take the bread basket away so I wouldn't eat it all and spoil my entree. The wiener schnitzel usually comes with mashed potato, but the server apologized when I ordered and asked if scalloped potatoes would be acceptable as they had just run out of mashed. Not a problem. The scalloped potato was wonderful - hand sliced potato with a creamy sauce and browned just so. I was truly reminded of my mother's, the likes of which I have not eaten in 40 years or so. I advised them to substitute scalloped for mashed permanently. The wiener schintzel was excellent as well. Thin pork cutlets were perfectly breaded and browned; I polished off two good sized pieces. I declined dessert, but if I was allowed to eat sugar I would have tried the warm berry cobbler with ice cream. Like Arnold said, "I"ll be back."

My parents are regulars here and for good reason. The berry pancakes were very good, not loaded so you can't taste the pancake. Sausage was wonderful and good tasting coffee. My parents have also had dinner there but I can't speak directly to the quality of the dinner food other than they said its wonderful. I highly recommend this place.

Fantastic European Bistro serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. Immensely enjoyed the lorraine omlette with fried potatoes and my wife raved about the chicken salad special. We can't wait to try it for dinner!

Great food and amazing prices. Not well known yet, but I'm sure it won't be long before the word gets out. I recommend stopping in for lunch if your in the area and find out for yourself

don't be fooled by its location in a strip mall. Owners had a restaurant in Kansas and it was exceptional food. We were pleasantly surprised. Staff was great and service was 5 star. food was very good and we had sole and crabmeat and Mediterrean shrimp. probably the best dinner I had in the last 11 days of eating out on vacation. This is a don't miss in my book.
