We came back for the second year in a row and although the food was good, we weren't as impressed as last time. It was pretty busy for a Wednesday night and they had live music which was nice. Again we started with their bread, butter and tapenade which was good. Started with the wedge, which was also good. I got the filet which didn't cut quite as smoothly as it did last time. The potatoes were still good, but I did not get the tomato bernaise sauce this time, instead the filet came with tomatoes on the plate. Not sure if that was an oversight or a change. My friend seemed to enjoy her tomato and burrata salad. My mom also got the filet and she was just not impressed with it at all. By this point we had tried the Capital Grille and the Grill at the Ritz Carlton so I think it was just hard to measure up to those places. Our service was decent, I wasn't wowed by our server's attention. We had to wait a bit for the check. The next day the manager called and left me a message thanking us for coming in though which I thought was a nice touch and they also gave us coupons to return but they expire in September so we won't be able to use them.

Our server Boris (from Bulgaria) provided outstanding service for our leisurely 2-hour dinner as we celebrated the 65th anniversary of the in-laws at this posh restaurant situated along the Moorings Bay inlet of the Gulf of Mexico. We loved the ambiance! Starting with the New England clam chowda' and a few orders of the Chilled Crab & Lobster appetizers, our group chose a selection of entrees including the house specialty Sautéed Veal & Shrimp "M", the fresh Honey Miso Roasted Black Grouper and an order of their night's special...the Pan Fried Great Lakes Walleye. The entrees drew rave reviews all around including the "best grouper I ever had" and "the veal was so tender that you could cut it with a fork". We finished up with three desserts including M's own delicious Key Lime Pie compliments of Mimi. Thanks Mimi!!! What a great finish to this enjoyable celebratory dinner at such a popular restaurant.

This restaurant has some really great qualities: the location, the atmosphere, a simple menu and long wine list. I was dining with a large group, there were 11 of us, 4 were children. The food was good, but not great, nice presentation but average flavor. It took 2 hours to get our meal- way too long for even a large party, and there were only a few other tables. They weren't busy enough for that kind of wait I think this place would be great for a special date night. Unfortunately it wasn't the right atmosphere for our group on a Saturday night.

Spent my 60th birthday in this fabulous restaurant together with family. Service and meals outstanding. Had our own space in the restaurant arranged. My hat of for personal and owner for this remembered evening.

Hidden Gem and a must try. My wife and I ate here for our Anniversary dinner. The food is something you think of from a Top Chef show. They create artful dishes with amazing flavors. I had the squash ravioli, which you would think is just vegetables. It was a combination of duck confit, pomegranate, roasted hazelnuts, and more. Every bite made me wonder what I was eating....it was teasing my taste buds. My wife had a seafood dish which was really good as well. They definitely helped us feel welcome for our day, and we will be going back for more.

Definitely a upscale seafood grill in the Naples area. Their wine selection is one of the largest I have ever seen! That being said I am more a a beer guy over a wine guy and I was very disappointed with their lack of beer list, on top of all of the beers being bottled. The food had awesome flavors and the dishes has interesting twists to them that gave a different interpretation of classic seafood dishes.

This place is excellent. Being in the service industry I usually find it very hard to say that. Service was excellent which is hard to find in Florida. They had live music during the dinner hour as well. Great views of the harbor. Vegan dinning is also easy at this restaurant, just let the waitress know. Prices are on the higher side however quality service and food make up for that. Certainly worth a visit.

Our reservation at M Waterfront was a happy accident. A friend talked enthusiastically about a restaurant in a shopping area with water views, and surfing the web, we decided that this must be the place; however, when we arrived, it wasn't the restaurant she had in mind. That said, we were intrigued! We had a reservation! We went in! And we were glad we did. Our party of four enjoyed everything - from the freshly baked bread to the well-thought-out compositions of fresh fish, meats and vegetables. And the gallant men of our group who sat with their backs to the water were rewarded with a different view, as the sommellier climbed a ladder to get special bottles down from the loft. As we left the restaurant, we were entranced by the mall's light show, a cross between Fourth of July and meteor shower. It was a delightful evening.

Went to M for our anniversary dinner. Made reservations and let them know the occasion. They were all extremely nice everyone knew it was our anniversary and had a very nice table for us. The food was impeccable. Everything was cooked for perfection, the mix of flavors was amazing. And the bill was not too bad. I live in Miami and for the same type of food and restaurant the bill would have been at least double. Service was excellent the server knew every item of the menu and of the wine list and was able to provide a very detailed description of what to expect. It was a great dining experience

Really nice place right on the water in a great area in Naples. I was visiting and had lunch with a friend there. I ordered grilled salmon over a salad. The fish was cooked perfectly and the salad was crisp and fresh, with house made dressing. Service was fantastic. I would go back again without hesitation.

Nice water view and attentive service. Ate at the bar lounge area. Had drinks and snacked on appetizers. Would definitely return if I make a pit stop in Naples.

Had a late lunch today. Service was fine, My wife had a delicious lobster salad. I am a big fan of clam chowder, and the menu said theirs was " award winning." What I received was a bowl of cubed white potatoes in a creamy sauce, and an occasional piece of clam, if you could find it under the potatoes. We both agreed the dish was mislabeled. It truly was potato soup. For the first time in my life, I asked the waitress to remove the dish, She did, but offered me a bowl of tomato soup. BEWARE OF THE CLAM CHOWDER!

Excellent food! You can not go wrong here. Try Sunday brunch. The beets with fried goat cheese is unbelievably good, be sure to try it! Make a reservation on opentable and bring your dog and eat on the patio.

One of the few restaurants with a view in Naples. Nice bar. I have been several times before and found the food to be good. My most recent visit was DISAPPOINTING as I ordered several appetizers at the bar and found a large, long hair in my french fries. The staff was apologetic, but did nothing more than take the fries off my bill. I understand mistakes happen, but I expected a bit more empathy. I won't be quick to return.

WORST PLACE EVER!!! Do not go on your weekend vacation. Our food was cold and tasteless. I walked in to pay the check before my boyfriend did, as a surprise to my boyfriend. The waiter said everything was already a taken care of. As I was walking out, a staff member yelled "GET OUT OF HERE". Worst customer service! horrible food and expensive for what you get. No! No! No!

My family and I dined here on Christmas day for lunch. We had come into town the night before and didn't have groceries, so off to M Waterfront Grille we went. Typical of many restaurants, M has both indoor & outdoor dining. We chose to sit inside and overlook the beautiful bay. They had a special Christmas day menu that offered items off the typical lunch & dinner menus. My mom and I decided to split the caesar salad "steakhouse style" and it was the perfect size when split... I wouldn't have been able to eat the whole thing myself (about 2 large wedges of romaine were on the split portion!). For my main course, I chose the short ribs with mashed potatoes & it was YUM-O! My husband had the filet mignon, which I took a small bite of and wasn't super impressed as they severely overcooked it. He asked for medium and got almost well done. That was a bummer, but he ate it anyway. I wasn't sure about dessert, but my husband and I decided to split something and picked the flourless chocolate cake that had a yummy pistachio dusting on it and raspberries... a lovely combo. The service was rather good, but as the meal went on the staff became less attentive. Overall, this was a great lunch and I'd definitely go back to M again.

Forgot to take photos. Just having a nice evening cap with a girl friend while we chit chat. Espresso, Key Lime Pie Martini, Swiss Chocolate Gateau, Vanilla Bean Creme Brûlée, and Cocktails. While we sat in the lounge sofa seating outside, enjoying the breeze. Desserts and Drink were delicious and well presented. Our server, Marco, was so friendly and attentive. The place was packed but still accommodating. Nice mix of clientele ages... Which is important in Naples.

Ambiance is excellent; food was awesome as was the service. I had the chiopino. It was not tomato based which I expected but it didn't matter, it was delicious. The view is great and the bar looked fun.

Nice atmosphere ... Waitress was horrible.... We didn't see her that much....the GM was awesome very personalable..Got the hamburger and it is not worth the money. Also had the salmon and it was great.... EXPENSIVE

Made reservation a month ago for our anniversary at the M. Arriving on time we were told it would be a few minutes. While we waited it became obvious that this place is just a over dressed Mel's Diner. (I don't mean to besmirch Mel's but it's not the environment one usually selects for a special occasion.) The M was loud and not inviting at all. As we exited the restaurant after canceling our reservation I noticed many empty tables outside on their porch and decided to sit there. After waiting for the waitresses to decide who have the table responsibility and encountering screaming kids acting like the area was a playground, we left again never to return. Went to Fish Restaurant in the same complex and received excellent service, food and atmosphere.

Went for lunch, which was ok. Nothing bad per se, just not 4 stars worthy. Not over the top good after two great meals the day before at Tulia and Fuse. Portions small with ok quality. Husband remarked they're spending all their money on rent, not the food! Service was good and attentive.

Worth every single penny. The food was exquisite , the service was great and the ambiance was serene ! I drove all the way from miami to visit Naples and yelp helped me find this restaurant. What a surprise. What an experience. All the dishes were filled with amazing ingredients. Thank you for the experience.

We eat here every time we are in town (2-3 times per year). It has become my favorite place, in Naples. It has a fun atmosphere and the staff is always spot on. If you ask to sit in the veranda (we also do) you may bring your dog. They will bring a bowl of water a treat just for him/her! Be sure the call and make reservations. If you don't and you have to wait the shops in the village are very nice and you can wander around or order a glass of wine/cocktail and sit outside and relax. They have a nice wine list including a good selection by the glass. Their menu changes seasonally with specials nightly/weekly. I like that the source local vegetables and that they are not your standard options. My husband always orders one of the steak dishes and I adore any of their seafood options. Portions are generous and after a starter and entree we are stuffed.

Nice place. Quiet and beautiful. The ambiance is nice with a good jazz in the background. The service is very very professional, no waiting time, with the smile and fast at it should. Just enough attention but nothing stressful. As French from Marseille, Provence, France, I tried the bouillabaisse. I was nicely surprised to get a little bit of tapenade with hot bread aside. The bouillabaisse came on a beautiful plate and nicely presented with fresh fish, clams... Don't expect the same high level as in Marseille, but this is way above average and a nice surprise, this is fresh and smell very fresh, the touch and design is very good. Overall this place is pleasant and I will come back. The prices are ok and reflect the food quality and professional service. This is the way to go.

Went here the other night with a couple coworkers. Our server was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. I had the beet salad with fried goat cheese for appetizer - AMAZING! For dinner I ordered the grouper with sweet potato purée and it was delicious as well. For dessert we had the bittersweet chocolate pot de creme - rich but very tasty! Will definitely be back again!

Enjoyed dinner at this restaurant last evening. We sat in a pleasant breeze on the deck facing the water. We tried this restaurant because they were pet friendly and allowed our standard poodle to sit with us while we dined. He enjoyed watching the birds and we enjoyed an an amazing dinner. The staff was friendly and dinners all enjoyed watching our well behaved dog share our vacation.

We had dinner here and it was wonderful. We started with the baked Brie and it could just melt your heart; the two of us ate every bit of it. My steak had a perfect crust and was cooked perfectly (medium). My favorite part may have been the blue cheese sauce for the frites - I had to ask for a second bowl of that stuff!

Have had some of the best Cioppino's in San Francisco, but M raised the bar. Wonderful taste, lot's of variety including lobster claw. Service from Marco was excellent.

It was our first time dining here and we were very happy with the view, the service and most importantly the food. Ordered the Black Grouper and house specialty of Veal and Shrimp both were delicious and presented beautifully. Our daughter had the ever popular chicken tenders from the kids menu. Food was great and the overall dining experience was wonderful. The kids menu has a QR code that turned the artwork, she colored, into an animated broadway type marquis and other things, very creative and the first time we had experienced this. We will be back!

I made a reservation very easy, no problems to get in. I got the table that I requested just like on the website with the beautiful views of waters, right by the window. The valet was waiting and run to get our car. All per perfect. The proximity to the house. The atmosphere. I was aware that the place maybe be somewhat touristy, but regardless the menu was pretty good. It was slightly overpriced, yet the quality was outstanding. Thus the prices were well justified. I would not expect to pay anything less for the taste and presentation. My favorite part was that the portions were small. It reminded me high quality European establishments. The stake was done up to my standards. This was the only time in my life it arrive well done as it was ordered! The server was pretty good. A young and attractive lady was there only to take the order, to serve and to bring the check. She was not annoying like many. She was there when it was needed! Now, I am putting this 5 start review because all was truly perfect. But, I do have one request is to get back on the cocktail menu Passion Mojito!!!! RAZZLEPEARY MAGIC was not bad either, pretty strong, but I want the PASSION MOJITO!! just like I saw it on the website menu. It was number two reason why I pick that place to begin with. My boyfriend and I had a very romantic evening. I am not romantic at all, but even I liked it. Well, I will definitely return!

Beet salad A++ really uniquely done and tasty. For my main I have the squash agnolotti, which was good but a bit too sweet and heavy. For dessert I had the blondie, the peach gelato on top really makes this a great dish! The server was also very friendly and funny.

I plan on coming back next time I'm in town. Everything from the view, the service, food selection and food preparation were nothing less than everything you want it to be. The lobster salad was great. The lobster was nice quality chunks of crab with minimal mayo. The steak frittes was good - steak was a little over cooked but the frittes were amazingly good. This was a brunch so the warm coffee cake they sent to the table brought me back to my childhood - mouthwateringly delcious.

This is such a dog friendly - staff friendly - good food - beautiful location. They bring your dog ice water in a bowl and a small plate of treats. So much fun to eat there. We love it. Lobster salad is incredible. Best veg. omelette.

My wife and I visited this place on a Thursday night. There were 5 tables in the whole place but in September that's not unusual. The Beet salad was great but the crab and shrimp spring rolls were just okay. We shared the Grouper on the menu that was the Signature dish but the Grouper was very fishy smelling and the watery orange sauce was bland. We both agree it was terrible and at $35, Ouch! The whole menu was way overpriced but I guess we were paying for the location. I will say the service was excellent and the server and manager were both excellent in attending to us but not overdoing it. Will we go back??? I don't think so. For the prices I expect to be blown away by the food and service but unfortunately the food fell very short.

I only came by to see one last bit of Naples before heading back to Miami and found this place (the village - where the restaurant is located) by accident. My partner and I walked around and loved the look of M so we decided to walk in. The restaurant is beautiful. We had some drinks and some wine. The prices were reasonable. Also, the dessert menu looked good but I decided to have some french toast. They were on grain bread with a caramel maple syrup. Now, I am all about eating healthy but some things should not be changed and french toast is one of them. The syrup was great but the french toast left me wanting something different. The ends were too hard and the center was too soggy. Also, they were burnt at the bottom :( Either way I saw other dishes others were eating and they looked great. Maybe I will pass by the next time I am in naples but it is on a side of naples I do not frequent so who knows. I do recommend it though based on cleanliness, attention, price and look. I think it would be a great dining experience.

I don't tend to write a review based one visit, last night was our third try. We were there twice about a year ago. The first time was wonderful. Seats by the water, outstanding food and service. The second visit that trip was less successful but any place can have an off night. We had reservations at 6:45 last night. We were greeted at the hostess stand after a few moments, and taken to our booth. They remembered that we needed one gluten free menu. Bonus points for that. We waited about 10 minutes and finally a busboy came by and asked if we wanted some water as our server Gabrielle was busy. About 5 min later our server arrived with water and took our drink order. Drinks arrived promptly. After a while she returned, read the specials to us. We ordered a shrimp cocktail to share. Shrimp were cold and good. I never understand though why when you order something to share why only 1 seafood fork comes with the order. We knocked off the shrimp and ordered a second drink. When the drinks arrived the now empty shrimp bowl and plates stayed with us. In fact they stayed with us for a long time. Where we were sitting was a super highway for staff including our server. And the managers. No one ever looked down to see we were sitting with our now dirty dishes. My wife who has the gluten issue ordered short ribs, i ordered the veal and shrimp with rosotto. Dinner arrived promptly, one shortrib with a few root veg pieced under it. Not much food given the price. My veil was ok, not great. Of the 3 shrimp, 1 was fine, 1 tasted like iodine, and didn't eat the third one. In all disappointing given the price. The Manger did stop by just after the food was delivered but before we had tasted. We never saw the server again till we were finished with the meal. Again, staff was walking by the booth all the time but we never had our water glass filled again, nor did anyone ask how the food was after we had a chance to taste it. I guess our feelings are that this is a typical place that has a great view so the prices reflect the view, and the food and service can slide. I doubt we will make the 45 minute drive again to dine there. .

We frequented "M" several times this season receiving kind & professional service every time. It is a great place for 2 or with family & guests. All of the entrées are creatively presented and delicious. We liked the fact there is variety of both seafood and beef to keep almost anyone happy. "M" is great for both casual and elegant occasions that simple call for good food & wine.

Not what I expected by reading the reviews. The menu is limited & I've had better meals elsewhere. I had the steak with the fries and it was good but for the price I would've expected something better.

The M has a great vantage on Venetian Bay. Very good. Very mediocre, however, are other details: We decided to try the highly touted Sunday Jazz Brunch at M. Oh, that's right. It was highly touted by the M billboard out front near the valet stand. The "jazz" was one earnest guy on a single guitar with an electric amp and an Easy Listening playlist. Mimosa starters were pricey but at least the champagne was still bubbling when the glasses came to the table. My steak frites was a skirt steak hiding under a blue cheese shmear. I expected a bit of leafy vinaigrette to make the dish worthy of its French name and true to form had it been served at any Parisian cafe. But Non. The salad was a $9 side order which made me think that the lettuce duked it out in the kitchen to see who would end up on the plate. Tough guy mescalun won. Wimpy but more real butter lettuce is probably still hiding in some kitcheny corner down at the M Waterfront. My daughter's Medium steak came in greyish Super Well Done tones. Both the waitress and the Manager apologized profusely, and even offered a slice of key lime pie as consolation for waiting for another steak at the requested temperature. That was good service following the kitchen's gaff. All very amusing, but I felt a bit robbed.

I organized a large get together here for some out of town guests. I was staying at the Ritz Carlton and they recommended it highly. This was an excellent choice. The staff was absolutely perfect, and the food was as well. They paid attention to the many nuances of our evening - with a large party, it was effortless. The wine was fantastic, although we had one bad bottle, they were very accommodating and replaced it upon request. Several of us were fisherman and seafood experts - the black grouper was absolutely perfectly cooked and presented well in several styles for different requests. The rib special was absolutely fantastic as well - what flavor! Thank you for a great experience, my customers and friends were very appreciative.

Rip off. This is solely based on getting robbed. Went for happy hour , special menu, selection of meats $5 I chose salami. You get 2 so thin , thin, thin slices of rolled salami for $5. Maybe 10cents worth, cheese selection $5. You get a thumb nail size piece of cheese, maybe 25 cents cost, bruschetta about $8 2 slices with topping maybe 50 cents worth. If you are stupid rich and love taking it you know where then come here. Otherwise run far away

The food here at the M Waterfront Grille is exceptional. The menu changes from time to time and there are always great selections. Last night I had Steak Frites. Fries were sublime, soaked in juice and blue cheese they could have been a meal by themselves. Appetizers are always well crafted. The main reason to go to the M, though, is what truly sets this place apart. It is not that we have a regular waiter or the manager knows our group. The service is offered as a well thought out, professional and unpretentious staple. It is apparent that there are standards that are important to making every guest comfortable and taken care of. The servers are friendly, but never overly familiar. They are thorough in explaining the dishes. They are able to answer questions. They move about in a swift unhurried fashion. Everything about the service says, "The management of this restaurant understands and takes seriously the art of serving guests." The food runners and bussers are quick and efficient and often un noticable. Plates are delivered properly to each guest without any questions or comments, aside from "this plate is hot, please be careful". There are appropriately timed offers of refills and pleasant non intrusive questions about the quality and taste of the meal at the right time. No beats are missed, the service is impeccable and it has been every single time I have been there over the past 5 years. I want to thank everyone there for not falling into the trap of "I work in a restaurant" as an excuse for not taking your job seriously. I appreciate it and even those who say nothing know that they are getting something of a higher caliber and an ever increasing rarity, great service. Thanks.

We liked this restaurant so much at we ate here twice the week we were in Naples. The shrimp and crab spring rolls are delicious. The Caesar salad looked great. If they have a grouper special, order it. I agree with another reviewer who mentioned this was the best grouper in Naples. Service was friendly. Food was served quickly, but we didn't feel rushed. I loved the coconut ice cream. The views are fabulous. I don't think there's a bad table in the place.

A dinner without the kids, so my wife and I chose M. Kind of a pretentious name but an enjoyable dinner. Our waiter was great, very knowledgeable about the wine they offered. Their wine selection is a bit pricy, but we had a good French Pinot Noir that us plebeians could enjoy and afford. My hangar steak was cooked beautifully, a great rare to medium rare, exactly as the waiter had described. My wife's grouper was flaky and delicious as well. We both had a great time, and look forward to returning when come back to Naples.

The evening started out iffy when we asked to be seated outside instead of indoors and this requested was not granted with their pleasure. Once shown to the outdoor seating in the back, when we thought it would be in the front, I again asked to be moved, back inside this time. That seemed an issue. . . .Otherwise, our server was very good, not great. When I'm paying these prices, I expect a certain level of professional service. The food was quite good, I had the brie which was fantastic AND the beet and fried goat cheese salad, which was also very good but very heavy on the beets, if you don't like them. I had the black angus filet which really was delicious. My husband had the chicken and that was wonderful also. The evening ended very well.

I always regarded this space as "old school" and not in the cool Mad Men sense, but in the "gray hair, where's my walker?" kind of way. Apparently the renovations did the restaurant well, though, and transformed not just the walls of the restaurant but the crowd as well. (I'd say the average age was about 55. Not young by any means, but by Naples standards, it ain't too bad). I enjoyed my lunch here a few months ago enough to return for a dinner out the other night. Admittedly, I went with my parents and their friends on both occasions, but M Grille's beautiful scenery (make sure to sit on the back terrace overlooking the bay), friendly service (even the owners stopped by for a chat), and delicious food (love the option to get any fish simply grilled) won me over. When our group of 10 people showed up at 9pm (that's the NYC equivalent of midnight in Naples), the staff quickly accommodated us and created a large table outside to everyone's liking. While I choose to live in the City for a reason, places like M make me understand why so many people call Naples their (second? third?) home. I agree with the other poster that M may be a great drink and appetizer kind of place. More upscale than a bar, but you can leave your formal wear at home. Come for the view and enjoy the added bonus of great food and drinks.

4 stars thus far.....really? I am not a snoot but let me tell you, for what they charge, the food should be alot better and the staff has to be prodded to get decent service. Had tile fish...very marginal...and filet...not bad but for almost $40, should have been much better. Drink prices are also off the charts high unless you go to their happy hour at half price....make sure though you order on time because they look at their watches to the minute...even on slow nites...you got to be kidding me....could be alot better if more customer friendly!

We thought we'd go here for a nice, but not memorable meal. The location was perfect and we got a table outside by the water. Then a great meal unfolded, quite to our surprise! A starter of crab and shrimp spring rolls was amazing and our two entrees of salmon (for me) and red snapper (for him) were very well prepared and presented. But i shouldn't forget the beet Napoleon.....a gorgeous tower of beets and goat cheese with a citrus vinaegrette and a side order of mushroom risotto. Add to that the breeze from sitting waters edge and the evening was perfect!

I made a reservation through Yelp and then contacted the restaurant and requested roses and champagne at the table to celebrate my wedding anniversary. Everything was done to perfection including their table selection. My wife and I were greeted by everyone, including the busters with well wishes for our anniversary. Needless to say our experience at the M will remembered for years because it was our 1st anniversary. Thanks Yelp!

Living on the east coast of florida, I experience many flavors from south beach, to boca raton but I have to say this restaurant is one of my favorites. The service is impeccable, the menu choices although limited will satisfy just about anyone's taste buds. I don't know how they take simple sauces and make them taste so spectacular. I had a barramundi with udon noodle dish that was complimented by the most delicious light sauce with a Japanese flavor. My friends had a noodle dish that was accompanied by a tomato sauce that I could have eaten alone and even the salad wedge had a blue cheese dressing that i found richer and creamier and tastier than any other blue cheese dressings I had ever tasted. This is a must if you're visiting Naples. I forgot to mention the exquisite desserts and the air conditioned tables with floor to ceiling windows that make you feel as if you're on a boat. The best part is, this is not part of a chain restaurant so they constantly strive to be even better, as if that were possible!

Came here as part of a group dinner while at a conference. Had a salad, a very fine filet and some key lime pie, which was good but not quite as tart as I would like. It is literally situated on the marina so has some nice views (I'm assuming, it was cloudy/rainy when we were there). Definitely a place to go for a nice dinner, though you're not too sure when you pull up and it's in the middle of a strip mall. Service was very attentive.

We went to M Waterfront Grille for dinner on a recent trip to Naples upon a suggestion from another chef who recommended their seafood. We sat outside on their patio overlooking the bay, with a beautiful view of nice houses, boats, and the dolphins who paid us a visit for a few minutes that evening - a nice, romantic setting. The food was excellent - we enjoyed the heirloom beet salad with fried goat cheese and creme fraiche, and for entrees the black grouper and the red snapper. All were delicious and simply prepared. The menu had a number of options for fresh, local seafood. The only complaint is that it was overpriced, but all restaurants in Naples seem to be overpriced.

TERRIBLE service and RUDE waitstaff. My parents live around the corner and were excited to take me to M for a festive Saturday night out, after just getting down to Naples for a long holiday week vacation. The place was empty, particularly for a Saturday night (7:00 p.m.) and there were probably 15 tables outside, of which all but 3 were EMPTY. That said, we assumed prompt service and at least a fairly quick drink order. We sat for 20 minutes and no one came by to even bring us water, let alone a drink order. Upon getting up and leaving our table (which no one even bothered to stop us or apologize for the delay in service) it was remarkable how empty it was inside, as well. The bar seemed fairly crowded, with only a few empty bar stools, however it validated the fact that the lack of service was a poor oversight by the management and waitstaff; it had nothing to do with being overcrowded or a typical Saturday night. Even if it was, I've been to many restaurants in and around Naples that can quickly accommodate at least a few water glasses and a quick cocktail order, despite a line out the door. After leaving, we went across the street to Bayside, got waited on immediately, had great service from Kristina and ate a delectable meal.

I was a little worried about heading to M Waterfront Grille for Valentine's Day with my wife and her parents. The reviews on Yelp seem to be very mixed. We had an amazing experience. The service, food, everything was fantastic. Yes it was pricey, but no more so than anywhere else in Naples. We had the Sea Bass, it was perfect. My wife's parents had the Grouper, it was excellent too. The wine list was very comprehensive, covering both regions and price ranges. The offerings by the glass were impressive as well. For dessert we had the molten lava cake, it was excellent. All in all, I highly reccomend M Waterfront Grille.

Loved it!! Everything is very fresh using seasonal and organics! Love the gourmet grilled cheese with Brie and truffle fries. Nice wine selection lovely outdoor seating in the front of the restaurant and gorgeous views of the water out the back of the restaurant .

One of my favorite restaurants. Great menu selection, food and service is always excellent, also very dog friendly.

Yikes. Talk about pricey! The average price of an entree was around $35. Portions are quite small, based on the dishes we tried - scallops, red snapper, crab claws. My wife's scallops seemed quite small, with slices of sweet potato scattered around the plate. She was easily finished by the time I worked my way thru the first crab claw. The crab claw special entree (5) sounded great, however was not. The crab was terribly overcooked and flavorless. In all honesty, we suspected they were microwaved. At $7/claw, they should sing. The red snapper given as a replacement was prepared very nicely pan roasted, but at that point my wife had finished 30 mins earlier. Little things: *the martini glasses are miniature - but priced as regular size. *the beer selection is not listed anywhere on either the drink or wine list. *its too dimly lit for dinner service. *the bill comes in this awesome backlit sleeve - way cool

One of my favorite restaurants in Naples and I have been coming to Naples for years. The parm fries with truffle ketchup are amazing, as are the shrimp and crab spring rolls. Everything tastes very fresh. Can get busy, but we almost always go without a reservation.

Food and service were excellent. If only they could contain some overly loud guests it would have been a perfect evening. IF you have to be aware of sugar intake be sure to mention this to the service, many dishes are very sweet.

Love this place! The food was amazing and loved the ambiance of the restaurant and amazing view! It was a bit pricy but felt like the food was totally worth it! If you have the time to stop off in this place when your in the area it is definitely a place that you are going to want to check out! The dessert Martinis are amazing and loved the Chocolate Cake!

Came here for lunch and got the bento box. All the pieces and parts were wonderful. The fruit was extremely fresh and the grilled cheese wasn't your mama's grilled cheese. It had brie and extremely thin apple slices, who knew something could make me like grilled cheese even more.

Stopped in for a mid afternoon hold-me-over. We sat at an outdoor table overlooking Venetian Bay: a magnificent setting. The appetizers we ordered were uniformly excellent, albeit somewhat pricey. The service was only fair ( perhaps because they were between lunch and dinner). Overall, this one goes on my come-back list.

Very good Sunday brunch, especially with elderly adults. Creative menu, attentive caring service staff. Has become a family tradition when we 'kids' are in town.

My beau and I decided to walk to this restaurant after renting kyacks earlier in the week. We sat at the bar around 8:30 to order appetizers and drinks - we were the youngest in the restaurant besides two of the bartenders. This crowd was more 'local' since the season just ended. The atmosphere is really nice - chic with the flamed entrance way and outside seating and dining areas and views of the bay- and the food we ordered was outstanding, mostly. We had the shrimp and crabmeat spring rolls (PS: go online to the M Waterfront Grill website and download a free coupon for this app!!) and the beet salad. Still a little hungry, we decided to order the lobster roll - bad choice. It tasted like it was microwaved and too rubbery to eat. The wine list is nice, a bit over priced - a glass of Sean Minor cab was $13/bottle $50 and the bottle in a wine store costs $22. Location and markup taken into account. A great experience and worth visiting at least once. Start off with the sunset across the street at the ocean and finish the night here.

On the inland waterway. Outside table is the key as the inside, although quite nice, reminds me of a place my parents took me to in my youth. Food is excellent. Heirloom beet and fried goat cheese appetizer excellent. Grouper excellent Salmon excellent. The waitress brought the wrong entree to my wife, quickly rectified the mistake. The manager came over to apologize and offered us deserts on the house. When we decided to split a single key lime pie nothing was said and instead of being comp'ed the desert they simply took 20% of of the tab. And then the manager called the next day to inquire as to our experience and further apologize. Would definately return.

M Waterfront Grille was a wonderful place for lunch. Recently renovated into a sylish, modern, spacious and airy establishment literally on the water (on the bay in Venetian Village), I will be back again and again for lunch and dinner. Excellent waterfront views while enjoying my food and company. I am a big fan of Ceasar salad, which is hard to find (good ceasar) in this town. It was delicious and served topped with anchovies upon request. The croutons were homemade and side of bread was fresh and chewy. Our server was happy, friendly and attentive without being overbearing. My mojito was also fantastic. The bartender paid attention to detail and knew what she was concocting. They had some well thought out specials that my friends ordered and staying true to tradition, I had a sampling of everyone's plate. Thumbs up for all. The owner was making his rounds with a smile, asking about his customer's experience, listening to feedback. There are some nice shops to stroll after your meal or before while waiting for your family/friends. Great place to eat for a large party of just the two of you. Also a mellow relaxing atmosphere for a mellow family with children. If out of town guests insist on taking you out for a great meal, consider M Waterfront Grille as your choice...

Restaurants come and go at an alarming rate in Naples. This one should be around for years to come. Along with five stars come $$$$$ prices but for a special occasion this restaurant has everything. Service was impeccable. Their signature appetizer of crab and shrimp spring rolls was delicious, as were entrees of a seafood sauté (think elegant and super fresh kind of bouillabaise with shrimp, mussels, chunks of salmon and other delicious creatures, with wonderful small slices of fresh garlic) and a snapper special. The birthday celebrant is rewarded with a complimentary dessert. We had a very delicate, apparently whipped key lime pie that for me needed a little more zippy lime flavor. A chopped beet salad featured fried balls of goat cheese that were wonderful. We didn't have wine. When I told the waiter that I had spilled part of my premium gin gimlet he supplemented my second drink with an additional ounce or so. The manager or chef apparently visits every table and we got a follow up phone call the next day asking how we enjoyed the restaurant. Situated on the water at picturesque Venetian Village with complimentary valet parking available.

Slow service kept this from a 5 star review. I loved my lunch of "gourmet grilled cheese", fontina, brie and Fuji apple on artisan bread. The M Waterfront Grille is in Venetian Village, a charming group of shops and restaurants on the water. You can opt to eat indoors or out on the patio overlooking the boats and waterfront homes and condos. A perfect setting.

We were hoping to like it, but really didn't. Actually, I'm glad I don't like it because it is expensive and if I liked it, I would be tempted to spend lots of money to come often. However, that won't be a problem because I probably won't be back. It is a refreshing contemporary upgrade to a great waterfront space in Venetian Village and I could really enjoy the place based upon the space and the views. However, even with a 2 for 1 coupon, the food was not worth the money. Instead, go for a drink and the view.

M Waterfront has a great location and its lovely and romantic to sit outside along the water. When we first started coming here I was very excited about the fresh organic ingredients they were promoting, with an ocean/garden to table menu. We try to come here every time we are down but lately the food has fallen off the mark and the wait for food is ridiculous. What was once fresh flavorful fish and veggies now is mediocre and bland at best at a price point that should require higher standards. In December I ordered the short ribs which were great but my husband ordered a fish special which was just ok and he ended up eating most of mine. Last night we ordered the spring rolls to start which were very good, the clam chowder and special mushroom soup which were also both very tasty. However the entrees fell flat and didn't come to the table for at least 20 minutes after the soup and that's being generous on the timing. I had the panko crusted walleye with risotto and my husband ordered the citrus miso glazed grouper with goat cheese dumplings which the waitress said was a signature dish. The walleye was awful-I am NOT a salt proponent but this fish was so flavorless combined with flavorless risotto I ended up picking the fish out of the panko and not eating the risotto. A simple lemon would have done wonders but I didn't dare ask for one fearing it would be another half hour. The grouper was just eh. The dumplings were undercooked which left an unpleasant mouthfeel when raw dumpling cominbed with goat cheese. The menu is not extensive and each plate should really be mastered by the kitchen by now and not decrease in quality. I totally understand a restaurant slammed on a weekend or high season night, however a restaurant needs to grow with its popularity and learn to handle the customers. It's pretty maddening to see waitresses hanging out gossiping while you're waiting for a simple glass of wine and bread. I understand why people love coming here but the kitchen needs to step it up

Good food. Great location. Acceptable but not spectacular service (after dropping off our food the waitress never came back to ask if we'd like another drink)

A friend searched far and wide for a good place to have a special Sunday brunch. She selected M, to our collective regret. The former Maxwell's has had an attractive redo. Its location is beautiful. The music was nice. All downhill from there. The Sunday brunch/lunch menu was very limited. The rather expensive lobster salad did have at least one or two pieces of lobster hidden in the mayonaisse. The smoked salmon flatbread turned out to be mostly flatbread and very little salmon. Lots of ingredients, none of which added to flavor or substance. Eggs Benedict, a safety choice, yielded the creative substitution of overcooked sliced bacon for the traditional Canadian bacon and left me with an afternoon of heartburn. Our waiter was very smarmy as he described all the above as mouthwateringly delicious. The best fun with him was when he came to ask how everything was and before we could answer told us it was really yummy and left. Smart move on his part. I'd say this is a great place to have a drink but to eat somewhere else.

This place is awesome! We tend to go here for a relaxing lunch outside with our maltese. They are more than welcoming to us and our puppy, which is UNLIKE the rest of Venetian Village. The baked brie appetizer is UNBELIEVABLE and I don't even really like Brie. LOVE IT HERE!!! A must for anyone with or without their puppy!
