So I was trying to order from Pekin on Coral way but accidentally ordered from Pekin on 7th street. Since I ordered from them to pick up already, might as well drive an extra mile or two to get my food from there. Food was terrible!! It was nothing compared to the Pekin on Coral way. On top of that, the restaurant is messy like I can't describe it. In one little corner, there are shelves for things to sell I suupose?? The owner also have a very nasty face to go with it, rude to the employees and some attitude problems for the customers. Even if the food were delicious (which its definitely was not) I would go back just because of how they treat the customers.

I will give this place credit for 2 things: their general tso's chicken is nice and crispy and the food is quite reasonably priced. With that said, the food is what I would describe as across the board "slightly above average." Nothing was exceptional, but everything was pretty good. I had the general tso's (obviously), the boneless spare ribs, and an egg roll. The ribs were good, but a little sweeter than I care for. The fried rice that came with the chicken had all kinds of stuff in it (shrimp, pork, ham cubes, you name it). Under $25 and they deliver to my house. We would probably get it again.

The portions size's were large but I wasn't too impressed with the food. Ordered the broccoli chicken and I felt like my chicken wasn't fully cooked. They were quick, but possibly too quick? (since my chicken wasn't done). The people were nice and it's cheap but "meh I've experienced better" is a perfect way to describe Pekin Restaurant.

HORRIBLE customer service!!!! The "manager"/Chinese guy that takes the orders is a complete a$$hole! Super rude!!!! I know for a fact I'm not the only one who has posted a review speaking about how rude this guy is and I'm just hoping something can be done because the food is not bad.

We were staying at a hotel in Miami and wanted delivery and was recommended to try Pekin. We had the wonton soup, orange chicken and the happy family. All were great and plenty for left overs. The food arrived within 30 mins of ordering. Thanks for the great food.

I've been getting takeout at this restaurant for years, and over the course of these years I've had Chinese at many other places as well, there is a Chinese restaurant in every corner anyway. By far Pekin is the best. I introduced my boyfriend to Pekin and he agrees. We love the food. Hands down, the best chinese I've had. I've been to PF Chang, and all i did there was compare the food to Pekin. Pekin is better. No, really.

For the 2nd time in one weekend my boyfriend's cravings have led me to eat things I know I shouldn't, but loved just the same. Yesterday afternoon he decided he absolutely had to have Chinese food immediately. After arguing against it for about two hours I threw in the towel when I realized I would not be able to convince him otherwise. So off to Yelp we went and found great reviews for Pekin Chinese Restaurant & Supermarket but there was no website so we searched for the menu online and ordered Beef Fried Rice, Chicken Lo Mein, Pepper Steak and General Tso's Chicken. They don't deliver to Brickell, so as we were on our way to pick the food up we realized we didn't order from the place with several great reviews on Yelp. We'd actually ordered from Pekin Chinese Restaurant , which only had one review, because it was the only menu we found online. Since we'd already ordered the food we of course picked it up and hoped for the best. Although I didn't actually go into the restaurant because I had my puppy with me, my boyfriend said the restaurant was filled with Chinese people (great sign). After paying only $25 for all the food we got, we drove home and proceeded to enjoy the most fresh and savory Chinese food we'd have in ages. The food at Pekin is just as good if not better as anything i've had at Chinatown in NYC AND they don't use MSG!!!! The service is quick, the food is delicious and the prices are very reasonable. I definitely recommend Pekin Restaurant and will absolutely be visiting again.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
