Ordered a cheese pupusa... best pupusa I've ever had. Delicious, fresh, and at a great price. 2.75 each.

Late salvadorian restaurant We were craving a place with good pupusas so We search in yelp for salvadorian food and this was the first in our way so We try this place the place is very small and not family environment but the pupusas was very good. We ate outside because is very noisy inside because they have a rockola that the volume is so high. If you are looking for late dinner they have the kitchen open all the time.

I ordered a a couple pupusas to go. It took about 40 minutes to get them. I'd suggest coming if you have a lot of time or have no real plans for your day after.

This place is just ok. Service was good. Food was just average. Lots of hits and misses on the combo platter. The sopa de Rez was good.

2.5 stars the restaurant itself is more on the upscale side of Salvadorian restaurants. The service was not as friendly as I expected, I didn't feel welcomed. The pupusas $2.75 each were just okay a bit on the dry side on the outside. It's nothing to come home to talk to Mom about. As a matter of fact I told my husband we wouldn't be returning. The carne asada lacked the authentic Salvadorian flavor I was craving. Put it this way I could have made a better dish at home.

20 minutes after i had ordered they told me they didn't have my plate. No thanks! Food is good but I go out to enjoy myself, not to come home irritated. Not worth the horrible service. Never again!

Overall a 3 star spot. I was misled by the 1 dollar sign rating on yelp and assumed this would be cheap eats. It's more like a 2 dollar sign place. We ordered 3 items: one pupusa appetizer and 2 entrees and the bill was around $42. No drinks. Service was very slow but friendly. I was glad our waitress spoke good enough English so we could communicate. I was annoyed that the people who came in after us were served way before us. I didn't deduct any stars for it, but I was not happy about the long wait we had to endure while no one else seemed to have to wait that long. The pupusa was heavenly. I ordered the one with pork in it and I LOVED every bite of it. It came out with the pickled veggies. Yum! My husband ordered the churascarro plate. It was good. I ordered the mixta plate and it was just ok. It was beef, fish, shrimp, and calamari in a soupy broth with cooked veggies in a 'bowl'. The rice was on a separate plate. I would've preferred the rice to be on the same plate and minus the soupy broth. The carne asada was sub-par and probably not representative of the carne asada plate. It seemed like left over carne asada or something. If it were cooked fresh, then I doubt it would have all been mixed up in a broth to mask the flavors. The dish was decent but just not my kind of thing. Maybe someone else would like this sort of thing.

Did I ever tell you I love pupusas? No? Well I do, and La Pupusa Factory did not let me down. As I was riding back home from work, dodging cars and pedestrians I spotted this place. Painted in the colors of El Salvador's flag its kind of hard to miss. So I stopped, turned around and took a look. I walked up to their cafe window and asked for a menu. Oh man, did they get the name right, one page of the menu is dedicated to their different types of pupusas! My mouth started to salivate... After a couple of minutes the waitress came back and asked if I wanted to order anything, "Que quieres mi rey?" Hmm, the king wants "Dos pupusas de queso y loroco, por favor!" I had them to go and thankfully when I arrived home they were still nice and warm. They even included curtido, which was surprisingly fresh! It was great and I ate my pupusas with joy. Would I come back here again? Yes! In fact....I DID THE VERY SAME NIGHT! Yes, I came home, told Ashley S. about this place and we went there for a round two! Everything was simply delicious. Quite possibly the best pupusa in Miami for me.

After reading a few good reviews about this place, i took my wife to eat some pupusas. well i got there around 9:00pm on a Tuesday and the place was really empty. we went in and had a seat and the waitress took her sweet timw to even welcome us to the place. the food was really good but really bad bad service. i had to walk aroud looking for waitress to get some NAPKINS. and like i say in the beginning the place was empty so there is no reason to be looking for the waitress.

I second Rob C's review - I was greeted with friendly service from a young nice Honduran woman, and the interior was clean which is not always the case for many Central American eateries in this part of town. I had thought that the baleada was a Honduran dish - well, it seems that it's also Salvadoran - and I liked it a lot here as it did not have any salty cheese. The tortillas were fresh and as thick as I liked them. And of course, as cheap as it should be! I'll definitely return and try more things! CREDIT CARDS: Minimum order of $10 Parking in the back

la pupusa factory. i bookmarked this place on yelp months ago, im so glad i got a chance to try it out for lunch earlier today. i got there like at 2pm, its saturday... i thought i was going to find it full but the restaurant was actually kinda empty. yes, la pupusa factory is more organized/family oriented than most of the other central american places in the area. i sat by the bar, a lady then asked me if i wanted anything to drink. una modelo especial i said (imported beer $3.50) she immediately asked me if i was going to eat. i guess they only serve alcohol if youre eating which, considering the character around the area, thats a good thing. i went for the carne asada and a pupusa de frijoles. my meal came with a side or white rice, beans, cream and a tortilla. good stuff. the meat was juicy, tender... did not stand a chance on my plate. the pupusa although it took a little long to come out was awesome. i had another beer just cause its saturday so in the end i payed around $20 for everything. very good cause im full of yummy food and i drank two beers. whats up?

This place lives up to it's name, having a whole page on their menu dedicated to all the pupusa's they have to offer. For anyone that doesn't know what a pupusa is: basically consider two tortilla's with stuffing in between them. But the best thing about their pupusa is their low price! The average price of a pupusa is $3, and with just two your good to go(or just one of the bigger ones like Carne/Res). Garnish it well and you'll be stuffed. The restaurant is nice and cosy and if you're not in the mood for pupusa they have plenty (and I do mean plenty) of other dishes available that are also well priced. Even their breakfast seems awesome. (I would love to come here for their Breakfast and Meat dish. Along with interesting desserts and drinks, this place is a sure hit to your appetite.

Sorry Guys and Gals - but from my experience I couldn't share your enthusiasm. The place is dumpy and empty - not a good combination for a place right on Flagler during lunch hour - BTW, across the street from a fave - La Camaronera. I've eaten pupusas in El Salvador, and I can assure you these are just as good, if not better. The sweet corn tamal is also awesome. But the steak looked like it was grilled yesterday and was overdone. The fried chicken chunks were also dry and bland. Go for the pupusas and you won't regret it. But I would stay away from the main dishes. Great prices.

So far this is the best Salvadorean restaurant I've found. I've tried good pupusas in other places too, but what I think really defines this place with an authentic flavor, and by far surpasses other salvadorean places are their refried beans. They're not the typical watered down light color flavorless beans but the truly authentic dark red beans, fried in oil with a thick consistency and the right amount of ingredients to flavor them perfectly. That's why everything there taste so good when you spread those beans. Don't forget to always order "cremita" on the side. This "sour cream" like substance is the real deal, thick and salty, makes anything you other there taste even better. If you're ordering "to-go" I recommend ordering the pack of 5 pupusas for $10.

The pupusas are great. The baleadas are amazing. We also had the large sample meat platter. The steak was great but the chicken was a little bland and the tamale didn't have much meat.

This was my first experience with Salvadorean food and it was delicious. My friend and I had 4 pupusas, two beers and a coke for $21 so I can't complain about the price. The service was friendly, the restaurant is a tiny, qaint little hole in the wall and I look forward to going back and trying some new things.

el verdadero sabor salvadoreño! (location #2) they make the baleadas just the way i like em with a hearty, thicker tortilla (had the baleada con carne) also ordered the bandeja garcia (mixed plate) with tamale, pupusa revuelta, taco, etc -- was good overall, even when some of it got cold later horchata was too watery for my liking
