Excellent Service and Quality Food! Unfortunately, Maria P. wrote an untrue comment of AnaCapri Rest Miami Springs. And I want to clarify that Sunday not expect to sit because I visited with my family this restaurant almost every Sunday. Part of this Lady mention salads like mushrooms, not in the menu . I am a customer of this restaurant for quality and service they offer and I think you got the wrong place . What you mention of the waiters is uncertain because he or they do not get to customers as you say and do not offer wine. Excuse me , but I'm completely sure that you are mistaken Restaurant . Thank You, Good Day

What is not to love about this cozy, inviting restaurant. Right down the street from work I had been wanting to check it out. Last Friday I got off early. Yay perfect it's Friday I can drink wine and eat yummy food and not have to go back to work. My husband met me for late lunch. As soon as we walked in I loved the Italian decor. Beautiful pictures of Naples, cool wine wrought iron bikes on the wall filled with wine bottles. Then my favorite is the swirling iron staircase to the second floor. Oh what a pretty place. Our server was awesome from start to finish, never missing a beat. I rushed to look over the wine list and the bottle I wanted they were out of but the server suggested another good bottle I was familiar with. Nice wine list and reasonably priced. So all of their pasta dishes are $10 at lunch time. Keep in mind they do close at 3 and reopen for dinner. Our server did not rush us as we had gotten there around 2:15. He made us feel so welcomed. We started with Calamari that was so lightly breaded, fresh and cooked perfectly with marinara delicious sauce. I have not had such excellent calamari in a very long time. Then I ordered pasta Bolognese which was so good. Pasta was cooked perfectly. Hubby enjoyed his pasta dish as well. The sauce was just how I like, not sweet. Fresh ingredients, great prices, awesome service. Truly a fabulous Italian restaurant. Can't wait for many more visits. Grazie!!!!!

Everything is delicious here! I one of the specials mixed ravioli with Alfredo sauce. It came with meat, cheese, and Spanish, all of them were extremely delicious!! I came with my parents and grandma, they got veal Marsala, veal parmesan, and pasta carbonara. I sampled them all so I can tell you from experience they were amazing!!! You will not be disappointed when you come here!

ANACAPRI in Miami Springs!! The family and I go out for pasta at least once a week, the kids love pasta. Last night we landed at Anacapri in Miami Springs which from what the server said, that location has been open for around a year. We were first presented with a sampling of there featured wines which were Finca Torremilanos white and red, beautiful wine to pair with the lasagna I had. The wife had the usually Bolognese and the kids raviolis and mozz. Everything we had was well presented, fresh and delicious! Good job you'll and thank you for bringing fine dinning to Miami Springs :)

Good afternoon, My husband and I decided to try a new restaurant and we thought of Anacapri. The food was absolutely delicious , they could train their servers to keep water glasses filled at all times. Most important they need to ask the consumer if they are done with dinner before they bring the check.

If Ol' Blue Eyes is on heavy rotation and the walls have a pic or two of even celluloid organized crime figures, your Italian restaurant has some credibility. When your marinara sauce is hearty, hey, you got a winner. A friend who lives in the area suggested this spot for dinner, and let's just say I have a new go-to Italian restaurant in Miami Springs. For starters, we were received with a pleasant smile at the door and promptly seated. The lighting was perfect - not too bright - and the aforementioned soundtrack had me feeling like I was John Gotti. My friend ordered their Portobello appetIzer, and though I'm not fond of mushrooms I found it ok. My choice was the classic caprese salad and prosciutto, amped up with san marzano tomatoes. Fresh and seasoned with balsamic, it served as a perfect lead-in to my main course chicken parm. As you can see, the chicken parm was richly cheesy and a delicious sprinkle of fresh ground black pepper and basil. They were very generous with the marinara sauce and penne pasta side. Chocolate Chip Cannoli - sweet crispy..just order it dammit!

Excellent, why I waited a year and it's a few blocks away I don't know. The food is authentic. Comparable to Italian food in Chicago. Service was spot on.

Place was vacant for lunch, but what a great treat this was to find quality Italian eats for low prices. Both the eggplant parm and side salad were fantastic ... and for 9.99 was hella cheap for this Seattlite.

The staff is extremely friendly. I look forward to place that serves traditional Italian food and they didn't disappoint. The bruschetta was delusions and the food portion is adequate to the prize. I recommend if your craving traditional Italian and don't want to big food chains. I enjoy going to restaurants that are family owned. You can tell the quality right away.

Truly worth visiting. My parents invited me to celebrate their wedding anniversary with them. I managed to drag the two love birds out of their comfort zone and take them somewhere new. The food was sincerely delectable. We ordered anchovies with red Pimentos peppers and eggplant rollatini as appetizers. I usually despise eggplant... but I absolutely ate this one. And I actually enjoyed it. A lot. For my entree I ordered the fiocchi (pasta purses filled with pear, four cheeses, draped in Gorgonzola cream sauce) Worth. Every. Damn. Calorie. My father ate the ma le femina (sorry for the massacre spelling there.) Amazing seafood over linguini. Clams, lobster, mussels, olive oil, garlic..... Drool. The service at Anacapri is perfection. Friendly hostess, amazing wait staff. Our waiter was thoughtful enough to bring out a desert that had "happy anniversary" written in chocolate. (Didn't ask him to!) They were also very patient with my parents who can sometimes be... ummmm... slightly overbearing. :) Cannot wait to return!

Being born and raised in New Jersey my standards for Italian food are VERY high. I have grown up basically consisting of a diet of bruschetta and pasta with vodka sauce. This place is a real contender as far as south florida goes. The best italian restaurant I have found here in Miami, which is only a little above average. I have gone three times now and I will say consistency is what they really have going for them. They always make a good calamari, vodka rigatoni, and eggplant parm. Where I find they REALLY fall short is in the veal category. Anyone who is Italian or has had a lot of exposure to authentic Italian food will truly be disappointed in the veal. I will say this, their service is excellent. The staff is really friendly and the food is consistent and better than any other Italian restaurant I have tried in Miami. Believe me I have searched. So it is a consistent place for your average meal of "Italian inspired food".

Good to have a nice place for lunch. Office is passed the canal and all we have as options is cafeteria food and fast food. Nice penne arrebiata...decent price and good service. I will return.

Hands down this has got to be my favorite Italian restaurant. I came here to celebrate my birthday with my family. It was my first time here but I wanted to try it out due to the superb recommendations some of my friends made in regards to Anacapri. Well we first started with the sausage and meatballs. I don't think I have tried meatballs with so much flavor. For the main course my dad had the fiocchi which is a pear filled pasta with creamy white sauce on top, needless to say it was amazing. To end the night the manager was nice enough to bring us Chocolate Anacapri's for dessert, the melted white chocolate made it so creamy. Overall the customer service and food was great, will definitely come back.

How this place has so many good reviews is beyond me. I really wanted to like this place but it truly fell short of my expectations. To begin I walked in and asked about wait time and was told 45 minutes. I see a huge table paying their bill and asked how many people were on the waiting list and was told none...it doesn't take rocket science to figure out that it wouldn't take 45 minutes to clear table and seat us. We were seated within 10-15 min but looking back we should have taken a hint and left. After we sat a young man came over to take our order...we wanted the Sunday meal which comes with a glass of wine, meal and dessert. We were told that the chef said they were out of it. Since it was on a regular menu and it didn't state "while supplies last"..I asked what exactly they were out of and I was told that basically we just couldn't have that special. So we went ahead and ordered dinner...kids spaghetti and meatballs, kids chicken Parmesan, pasta fagoli soup (not sure I spelled this correctly), garden salad, eggplant Parmesan, a mushroom and chicken dish. I would like to note that we tried to order a fettuccini dish but were told that they were out of the sauce. I'm a bit baffled by this because the white sauce is made with butter, flour and milk/cream. How can an Italian restaurant run out of any of those ingredients? Or do they give you sauce out of a jar? Food was mediocre. Soup was bland. Never got salad. Eggplant Parmesan was uninspiring. The chicken and mushroom dish and kids meals were well prepared and tasty. To summarize I think the main problem is lack of management and inexperienced staff. I hope they get their act together because it would be nice to have a good Italian restaurant nearby when I visit my parents. I forgot to mention that it was also steaming hot and uncomfortable. I don't know if the air conditioner was broken but it was not pleasant.

I would be giving them 5 stars if they had not raised their prices. The food is good but $22.00 for chicken is just ridiculous. Unfortunately, I wont be coming back now.

I was excited to see the reviews and wanted to try this place. I love seeing little hole in the wall places and supporting mom and pop establishments. However I still need to rate fairly for all you other Yelpers. I was one of only three tables. The area seem dead too. Staff was good. I was greeted by a nice hostess. I said for one and she said well let's get you by the window. Great server team. I should have gotten their names but missed that one. The back server was very quick to fill glasses and remove dishes. Would be a good server anywhere. I kept it simple after reviewing the diverse menu. Glass of Pinot, start with the caesar salad, lobster ravioli for the main. Caesar was nothing to write home about. Dressing did not have much spunk you would expect. Lobster ravioli presents well but again the taste was not on par. Again I want mom and pops to survive but maybe if listening to customers they can correct some of these things. Good luck!

The new spot is really nice: beautiful flower arangements, a staircase to a private dining area, a super cute and very friendly hostess (YAY Crystal) and a very generous manager. We started off with the Fried Mozzarella. It took a while (they brought us bread while we waited, the butter was hard but the bread was warm) but when it arrived it all made sense. It's a fried loaf of Mozzarella, crispy on the outside, melty on the inside, easy to slice and delicious. It would have been enough to serve 4 people easily. I was hoping to have the Linguine in Clam Sauce but that wasn't part of the deal (bummer). I ordered the meat tortellini Bolognese and he had the pasta Alfredo with chicken (an extra $4 was tacked on for the chicken and it was flavorless, so I advise skipping the chicken). The tortellini was AMAZING. The sauce was perfect, my favorite thing that came by the table. Now for the best part: They were having a Wine Tasting in the upstairs dining area (I signed up to get notification of the next one). They had a 5 course meal with wine pairings for $50. The manager was kind enough to bring us samples of the last two wines, including a superb moscato, and a poached pear in a red wine reduction for dessert. I would have never ordered a dessert like that but it was so good I'm glad I got to try it. I was a great evening, romantic and full of surprises. I plan to go back soon with my ladies for a pasta feast.

It's great to have a good Italian place nearby, it's pricey for the area but u get what you pay for, so stop being a cheap ass and support this great place! I wish there were other good restaurants similar to this in the Nieghborhood, the springs needs other things besides sports bars and diners. This place is great!

I've been here with a group office lunch. The meal was very good. However a few months later I went on my own ordered a salad to pick up and what a dissapointment. I ordered the spinache salad with added grilled chicken. I opened the bag at the office and the little things like wrapping bread is something I think is just hygienic, this bread was just tossed into the carry out bag along with a fork (no knife) fumbling around. The spinache was flimsy, barely any in the container and I'm not sure if there was any pancetta. Perhaps what really was the icing on top of the cake, thinking back to when I was waiting for my meal that an employee was clipping their nails behind the wall. Eeeshh..

The staff was very nice but the evening that I visited, the staff seemed overwhelmed and did not have a good service process. The food was plentiful but not as tasty as I'd expected. I was really hoping this place had great Italian food as it's really hard to come by around this town. If Robert Irving is listening, please help this restaurant be a success. We really need it to be!

Well tonight, my family and I went to eat for dinner and found Ana Capri. We ordered the lentil soup, eggplant Parmesan, and the dish with pears which were all delicious. Definitely coming back for desert because I did try it yet. Lol. Great place.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
