I agree it is a bit over priced however my husband and I enjoyed our breakfast it was really good. We pulled in at a bad time so the after church rush was put us at around a 20 minute wait but we walked down to Tuesday morning did a little shopping and only had to wait about 5 more minutes when we returned. I had the Parisian Benedict loved the twist with a croissant it was delicious. My husband orderd an omelette and it was big and he enjoyed it as well. The waitress was promt and very kind. We will definately go back.

I don't believe the food is worth the price. I found nothing special about this place. I ordered Huevos Rancheros and was not impressed. I understand it's not an easy breakfast to get right. but it was pretty bad. My friend enjoyed his Swiss cheese omelette, but said it was nothing special and not worth the price.

Stopped by for breakfast after many drive bys. We were seated promptly and our drink order was taken right away. The coffee here is pretty good and they give you a pitcher which made refills convenient. Orange juice was OK, probably Tropicana. I ordered the breakfast burrito and potatoes. My breakfast was delivered in a reasonable amount of time and it looked tasty. In the end it was a not so inspired dish tasting just OK. It was filled with eggs, sausage, peppers, and onions. Topped with cheese, guacamole, and sour cream. Nothing to write home about. Pretty bland all together. The service here was very good and our server was very helpful and friendly. I just wish i could say more about the food other than it was average. I am sad to say that I probably wont return. I was hoping that this would be a new great spot for breakfast but it just wasn't meant to be. There are much better placed to get breakfast around here at a more reasonable price.

What a fantastic find in Melbourne. Stopped in for breakfast and was not disappointed. Great service with great options for breakfast. My buddy had the Vera Cruz Chicken Omelette and it looked delicious. I had the Sunrise Chile Rellenos and was in egg utopia. What a wonderful combination of flavors so different from the local traditional breakfast spots. I'm already looking forward to going back.

Slowest service ever from the time we sat down to food was 90 min. We ordered from the kids menu the quesadilla which was dripping with oil (sent it back). Asked for a plain pancake. I came and was dark but edible. Mine and my wife's dishes taste as if everything came from a can. My eggs in my burrito were over cocked. Orange juice comes from a machines we were told and it taste flat.

Service was good, but the very worst omelette I have ever had. Go with one of their menu items instead of a 'build your own' option...was just eggs & virtually nothing else. Coffee is very average. Prices command all around better presentation. The other person eating with me had a chicken salad on lettuce. They got sick few hours later. Who knows if it was the lunch, but they didn't eat anything else.

I made a yelp account just to write a review about this place. My fiance and I went in a couple days ago early in the morning for breakfast. Our 40 dollar breakfast was mediocre, but fortunately we had to deal with a rude waitress that kept making remarks implying we might be too 'low rent' to eat there. We weren't dressed in our Sunday best, I suppose. We ate our overpriced lukewarm egg-based atrocities and enjoyed the senior citizens glaring at us and left disappointed. After about 7 or 8 hours we both began to get incredibly sick. My fiance moreso than I. Symptoms of food poisoning. FOOD POISONING. Surely from this bland breakfast slop that we had just eaten, because we hadn't eaten anything afterwards. Paid 40 bucks, got food poisoning and a guilt complex for wearing an iron maiden t-shirt to a diner. Would vomit in the college parking lot again.

Have been here a handful of time and the majority of the time I had a good experience. Most of the wait staff are very friendly and the breakfast is amazing. The only complaints I had is the wait time. If they do not have big parties there you will get your food quickly but if there is a conference going on, expect delays in getting your food. We waited about 30 minutes for lunch due to a large party in the convention room. I still would return!

Great food, good service. About $9 a plate per person. Eggs every way you could have ever imagined. The bacon is thick cut and very delicious. It's a new place and it's very popular. They have many different coffee blend options, about 4 or 5. I would recommend this place to friends and family. I had a very good experience!

I was extremely disappointed in the food at The Egg & I. Yes, we were promptly seated and the place was clean, but don't you expect that? Every item was over-priced. I ordered an omelette with potatoes and an English muffin because they don't have buttermilk pancakes(only wheat). The muffin was not fully cooked or toasted and it tasted like Wonder Bread. The potatoes were frozen with powdered ranch dressing sprinkled on top. My husband's hash tasted very strange. I'm taking my money elsewhere.

Food is on point! My kids and I eat there as much as possible. Great staff & management! Definitely just the thing the Melbourne area needed :)
