Great homestyle cooking, large portion sizes, wonderful wait staff and everything is cook to order. The decor is what you'd expect from a kind of a greasy spoon type place but it's clean and thats what really matters when you're eating out. I have had breakfast, lunch and dinner here and every single time I have loved what I ordered. My favorite is the steak and eggs and the fried chicken is amazing!

We have never been at this restaurant for dinner BUT it is by far the best restaurant in the area for breakfast and lunch. The food is fantastic, the service fast and friendly, and the facility very clean. No menu recommendations, just pick whatever "tickles your fancy" and order it, you won't be disappointed!

Breakfast is terrific. Employees are friendly, super busy but seem to meet needs of all customers. Pancakes are excellent. Eggs Benedict is also a great choice. Place is very.busy on weekends.

I ended up eating here while waiting for AAA. The sweet tea was great, service was prompt and attentive. Unfortunately, my open-face beef sandwich with gravy was tasteless and completely bland. The gravy looked tasty and was a good color, but I had to add tons of salt. My friend said her french fries were fantastic. Decor was very basic. Kind of a Mayberry, small town flavor with.

Nicest servers around and great food. I go about once a week! very quick service and good prices. Highly recommend!

Could use a little more variety in breakfast but otherwise great! Good little mom and pop place. Had fried catfish and eggs with tomato slices. Really enjoyed it! Service was good. Diner style.

  • Mike N.

Simply the best breakfast food I'd ever had! The pancakes, French toast, and waffles are all perfection on a plate. My only complaints would be that sometimes the service is underwhelming and they don't have a hostess stand. So whenever I walk in I have to stand around looking like a deer in headlights before one of the servers notices me and tells me where to sit. In a small, crowded restaurant like this, that just makes me feel uncomfortable.

Awesome food and incredible service. The wait staff is amazing. Really make you feel like family. Didn't mind that we sat and talked for a few hours after closing while they did side work. Prices are very reasonable. You get allot of food. Lunch was really good - can't wait to go back.

Good food, reasonable prices, and very attentive service. This place has been around for decades and is a reliable and predictably good lil eatery. That's why there are so many locals who frequent this lil place. Their breakfast is especially good. I've never been disappointed. The coffee is good and I always use an establishments' coffee as a barometer for their overall quality.

The absolute best place for home cooking. No matter breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Awesome food, great service. and no bakery can beat their cakes, pies, muffins, and cookies. Try the porkshops for dinner. Best chef salad for lunch. And the loaded waffle. Yum.

We were one seriously stuffed family after this visit. You can tell everything is made from scratch and the biscuits were the best! Gravy was good enough to eat on its own. Coffee topped it off perfectly.

Excellent place for breakfast . Would recommend the home fried potatoes with onions and peppers. Everything was reasonably priced and staff are wonderful

Great little place to take your family. My Grandma loves this place and has been taking me ever since I was a little kid. If your looking for Homemade Food this is your place.

Few places fit their name as perfectly as this. That Little Restaurant doesn't try to be more than it is. If you are looking for a good breakfast or lunch that isn't just another chain this is the place to go. It's located in the far corner of a small strip mall. I highly recommend trying a grilled Chocolate Chip Muffin. This was an excellent suggestion by our server Rob. They cut the muffin down the center & put it facedown on the griddle to add a perfect texture & melt the chocolate. All the food was good & the food came out quickly. The only negative I'd say was the Biscuits & Gravy was a bit watery. The biscuits were excellent but the sauce needed a bit more substance & maybe a bit more pepper. Overall, The staff is friendly, the prices are fair, the place is clean, & the food is tasty!

Really overpriced for the quality of the food. Not amazing. My breakfast at home tastes the same if not better. Left unimpressed. A lot of elderly, which I don't mind, but the place had an unpleasant odor.

My wife and I discovered this restaurant few years back and have been eating there ever since. Their service, and quality is second to none. It seems everything is made fresh, and if you're in a hurry their staff won't keep you waiting.

Not sure how this sweet little mom n pop restaurant has a 4.5 rating. Dinner was a fail! Breakfast stops being served at 2 p.m.

When I think of country breakfast, That Little Restaurant comes to mind. Hands down it is the best breakfast in Melbourne and it might quite possibly be the best breakfast in Brevard County. Every time I have been there I have ordered to Country Fried Steak and Eggs. It is absolutely delightful. The steak is juicy and tender, the eggs are made to order, the potatoes are seasoned well and fried right, and the biscuit and gravy is yumtastic. It literally took less than 5 minutes from when I ordered until it arrived at our table. The Waitresses and Bus staff are what southern hospitality are about. One bus guy or dishwasher was so excited to tell me where the bathroom is that I thought his mouth would fall of from smiling so hard. Also, I Left my yelp sun glasses on the table, and before we left the waitress ran them out to our car. I really appreciate the warm welcome, and would recommend everyone try this place out; I will be back.

Service was amazingly fast. We were a Party of 6 (2 adults 4 kids) that Came for breakfast when they were busy and got our food in less than 5 mins after ordering. Food was delicious. Portions were huge. Prices were low. Servers were friendly. We will be coming back for sure. In fact all our kids said this is the only place they want to go for breakfast from now on.

Hot, fresh, fast breakfast to go but would not describe their biscuits as flakey. They are giant crumbly squares of grease that are probably excellent at soaking up butter, gravy or eggs but are definitely not flakey or made in the southern tradition. Ordered breakfast to go while on a road trip. When I unwrapped my package in the car I saw that my order was hot, fresh and complete. Eggs and meaty, thick bacon both cooked to perfection. Great little slice of rhubarb pie with a toothy texture and a bit of tart to cut the sweetness. Picked up during the Saturday morning rush. Restaurant was packed but everything went smoothly and order was ready promptly. Would recommend if you are looking for a greasy spoon type of breakfast. Based on other reviews by locals it sounds as if this is one of the more decent kitchens in the area.

Had the best breakfast with great service! Love that it's so close with loads of parking space. It seems mostly locals know about this place! If you like biscuits, you are in for a treat!

Nice little eatery. Decided to stop by today, and the food was good, even during the Saturday lunch rush. Had some country fried steak and chased it down with a piece of strawberry rhubarb pie, all for a very decent price.

We head south to Melbourne this morning on our annual pilgrimage to the city's art show. We decided to throw caution to the wind and NOT eat at Simply Delicious, but to try something new. We've been seeing solid YELP reviews for That Little Restaurant, and decided to give it a shot. The breakfast was fantastic, and we had only a simple two eggs, potatoes, bacon and biscuit/toast. But they nailed it. The only weak spot was the weak iced tea. It was home brewed, but hardly had any flavor. The restaurant looked dated and a little worn down and the bathroom was like being in a janitor's closet. So, a solid four stars and it will become part of our annual pilgrimage to Melbourne.

HOW does this not have five stars?!?!?!?!??!?!?! I have never seen a restaurant with hand sanitizer on the tables for you to use and trust me, it's MUCH appreciated. Came here on July 4th for breakfast and almost every seat was taken. They quickly wiped down a table for us and we were seated within a minute. Great service from the start! After seeing the country fried steak picture posted here, I decided to give it a try. It is even more delicious than it looks! Portions are big, prices are EXCELLENT, and there is a ton of things to choose from for every meal of the day. I wish I had caught the name of our waitress --- she was terrific!!! Refilled our coffee quickly and without us asking, and never missed a beat despite the packed holiday breakfast crowd. I'm incredibly jealous of my family that lives near here, as I was only up here on vacation. Definitely try That Little Restaurant!

I've been coming to That Little Restaurant for years, and it honestly keeps getting better and better. I can't ever remember having a bad experience here. For example: today I ordered the Greek Omelette (which is KILLER, BTW) with home fries, but the home fries were about half as much as normal and half as much as everyone else's at my table. So, I asked if I could have just a bit more and....they brought out an ENTIRE PLATE of home fries with a smile. :) The service is top-notch, along with the food. If you've never been here, you're missing out! I will say though, that about 95% of my experience here has been for breakfast. I've never come for dinner and only been for lunch a handful of times. But judging by the home-cooked breakfast and lunch I've had, I can only imaging that the dinner entrees are just as awesome. :)

We eat at That Little Restaurant at least twice a month. Either breakfast or lunch. Happy to report food and service always good. Wish we had more "mom & pop" restaurants locally with great veggies and southern foods!

Great little place. Good quality food at a great price and just the right sized portions. It is probably the only place to have a somewhat southern breakfast. I really do love the biscuit my omelette came with. There are a couple of people who are complaining that the biscuit is not flaky enough. Clearly, they have never had a biscuit that did not come out of the can. it is easy to tell that the biscuits are made in house, and are fresh and just the right texture. Coming from Texas, I can tell when it comes to a biscuit. I got mushrooms and cheese in my omelette and the filling was generous. The omelette was overflowing with mushrooms. They are definitely not skimpy with the filling - no matter what you get. My friend and I both had potato hash on the side. we asked them to make our potatoes crispy, and we added peppers and onions on the waiters's recommendation to the hash which really enhanced the flavor. It was probably the best breakfast I have had in a while and I will come back to try their lunch and other breakfast options.

I had biscuit and gravy my partner had eggs and bacon. The biscuit gravy was disgusting. I had a friend make it for me 109 times better. Too much gravy, gravy was not right did not taste good. Outside tables smelled horrible like they used same dirty rag everytime, nasty.

Pretty much a hole in the wall, but if I wanted to find a hole this was a good one. The only thing I would rate low was the coffee wasn't that great. The flavor and the strength was lacking. I had the waffles which were great and it seemed like we just ordered and bam! The food was ready. I would definitely check this place out again and tell all my friends and family about it.

Great food at great prices. One of those little café/diners that just makes a good basic meal. Service was good with hardly any wait for our meals. We'll be back. Also, if you are military AND in uniform they give you a great discount!

Cindy took my order, she was superb. I had the grilled chicken salad. Pretty typical salad; tomatoes, cuc's, onions, hard boiled egg, shredded purple cabbage & carrots and I'm guessing about 3 ounces grilled chicken diced up, which is a nice touch. I am disappointed that the greens were of the pre-cut mixed bagged type; the preservative that is put on the greens always seems to permeate throughout the entire dish. The dressing however was spectacular; I tried the honey mustard and the ranch, which I was told were both home made. So after I placed my order I see all the desserts (I am a SUGAR ADDICT) in the display case!!! OMG. So Cindy named all of them for me. I chose the home made Pina Colada cake. It's 3 layers and about 6" high. I broke out in a sweat just looking at it. It looked like a cross between pineapple upside down cake and coconut cream pie!! And it tasted incredible. I will definitely be returning to That Little Restaurant. I cant wait to try some more dishes (a salad is a kind of difficult dish to be impressed by). Because as I sat drooling while I waited for my food, and saw some of the other meals coming out of the kitchen I thought to myself "that looks good, maybe I should change my order"!!

We stopped here for breakfast yesterday. The place was hopping, but we were waited on right away. The pancakes are huge! I got the biscuits and gravy and it was excellent. Our breakfast total for 2 was less than $20. I know we will be back and try something else.

Not bad, but pretty average breakfast and lunch. Not pricey; but above all else, they have THE best fried chocolate chip muffins anywhere!!

Everything here is homemade. Everything. I've been for breakfast on numerous occasions and can say without a doubt they have the best breakfast in Melbourne. The grits are real--no instant crap. The biscuits are homemade, and when they run out, they run out. Get there early! Also, if you go for lunch or dinner, they have the best fried chicken EVER. I've had a lot of fried chicken in my day, but this is absolutely the very best. The waitstaff is super friendly and there are always regular customers hanging around. It's not fancy by any means, just a good neighborhood cafe with homey food.

This is a great place for home cooked meals. My favorite meal on the menu that I have tried seems to be the fried chicken. The fried chicken is crispy with the option of honey dipped or plain batter. I usually order the mashed potatoes and gravy as well. They offer fried okra and zucchini as a side vegetable. Don't forget to try the peach cobbler, it is excellent!!!

  • Jim B.

My home away from home. They serve plain old fashioned diner food from the supply truck, but it's cooked decently and is clean. That's #1 for me. The wait staff are very friendly and personable. Prices have gone up a little high for the kind of food they serve or I would rate them higher. Also, I wish they could just leave sweetener on the table rather than having to ask for it because it always comes out of the pocket of a sweaty waiter's apron which is kind of yucky.

The food here was very good...the customer service was great...my husband and I really enjoyed our brunch dining experience. Also, the prices were good...we loved the fact that the menu had so many options to choose from.

This is a great little breakfast place, fast service and very quaint. I prefer my home fries to be cubed though and they slice them, but thats the only thing different that I could tell. The value is very good and everytime I pass by the place is packed!

I am a fan and it's local for me. Excellent omelettes and grits. It gets more traffic than Slackers across the street and "we" think it's because it's cuter with a cuter name. The food at Slackers is excellent, too, so either is wonderful.

If you go expecting a five star restaurant you will be disappointed, if you go for excellent food you'll be glad you did, a solid 5 star diner.

I was greeted and seated immediately. The server took my drink order and returned with it quickly and took my food order. It too arrived quickly. The grits were perfect, the corned beef hash good. I was asked if I wanted gravy with the biscuit. The biscuit and gravy were good. Everything about this place is good enough.

This place has the best breakfast in Melbourne! I have ordered once on my way to work, and I haven eaten in the restaurant once. On both occasions I ordered the biscuits and gravy....mouth-watering!!!! I made the mistake of ordering a double the first time...that is two HUGE biscuits piled with a ton of gravy! I could have easily been full off of a half order...plus a side of bacon...something I cannot forget. =) The restaurant is located on the corner of Wickham Road and Aurora so it's easy to locate and park unless it's in the morning around 8. Get ready to wait if you come during the mid morning breakfast time (or as I like to call it regular breakfast time). This is a nice sized restaurant, but with the amount of people (even during the week) you could be waiting for a decent amount of time. When my family and I went on a Saturday morning around 10:30 we had over a 15 minute wait for a party of 7. It was well worth the wait even with two small boys. We were seated by our server that was very outgoing and hospitable. She brought water to us and gave us a few minutes to check over the menu. Between my family and myself we ordered: meatloaf, biscuits and gravy, omlets, steak and eggs, and pancakes. I tried each item and was pleased with everything. Everyone was amazed with the portion sizes too. You can easily be stuffed and have enough for almost another full meal. I seriously don't think they make anything that is mediocre. The menu has a nice variety of breakfast options and a large lunch/dinner menu. You also get a nice look at the yummy looking desserts that they have displayed in the tall cooler beside where you walk in. The chocolate pie looks like it is calling my name next time. =)

We ate here based on the Other Yelp reviews. We are thrilled we did. Last year my inlaws took us only to the chains & we refused to do that this year. We ordered the Chicken Fried Steak & Eggs & a Western Omelette with cheese. We went with loaded hash browns & biscuits based on the other reviews. We had a ton of food and it was all fantastic. We will definitely be returning for some of those homemade desserts. I might even have pie for breakfast.

Food for the price good pancakes. Looked fluffy but was not eggs were good hashbrown little undercooked. Overall flavor and quantity was good didn't have to wait longer than 10 minutes to be seated I would recommend it

Fast & friendly service, delicious homemade food, and reasonable prices! We will be making this a regular place for breakfast. I had the corn beef hash and it was perfect. The buttermilk biscuits are huge, soft and moist. The pancakes were huge and filling. All 4 of my kids left full and happy, as well as my husband and I. The servers were kind and gracious to our kids. 5 star experience
