I usually do reviews of high end dinning restaurant however, this USED to be a good place to eat when doing some local shopping in Viera, Florida. Food quality has declined DRAMATICALLY, taste is bland! Seems a "gringo" is cooking and not a Latino. The chicken very bad, the pork tasteless The black beans watered down Not to mention the flan was a a complete disaster! This used to be a good place to get some Latino seasoning! The service has declined The cleanliness is lacking Dirty in every crevices and under the tables! Will not come again!

Walked in and tried to get food - any food- about 7-8 minutes before closing. Yes, it's close and it sucks to have customers like me - but after driving two hours and feeling desperate, the manager was really rude. She said "actually we're closed" (actually you're not...) and said "we really have nothing" in a very sassy manner. If they'd been more polite, I wouldn't care. But it was exceptionally rude when coming in for anything at all. If you aren't actually open until eleven, CHANGE YOUR HOURS. Boooooo

Disclaimer: I'm a strict vegetarian... but OMG POLLO TROPICAL ACTUALLY HAS VEGETARIAN OPTIONS? IN LOVE. Pollo Tropical is a well-known chain throughout Florida / the South, but going to the Viera location was my first time. I went on a whim with my brother and sister, because we had time to kill and were curious if the chain actually had vegetarian options. We weren't expecting anything. But WE WERE SO WRONG. We went in to the extremely clean and kitschy Viera location, which had super kind / competent employees, free Wi-Fi, and ample charging stations (..we didn't use them, but they were nice.) My brother and sister ordered their own Vegetarian TropiChops, and I ordered a Vegetarian TropiChop with Yellow Rice with Veggies, Black Beans, Tomatoes, Kernel Corn, and Sauteed Onions. We all also ordered Yuca with Garlic Sauce, Caribbean Corn Souffle, and Sweet Plantains to share. Everything was brought to our table in about 10 minutes, and was really delicious! Yes, it's fast-casual, so you shouldn't be expecting mind-blowingly gourmet food, but it was exceptionally good, for our expectations. The Vegetarian TropiChops were HUGE, perfectly-cooked and spiced vegetables and rice. All of the sides were well-cooked and flavored as well, with the Caribbean Corn Souffle being the standout in terms of texture and sweet-savory flavor. But the REAL standout was the Signature Sauce bar. We tried almost every single sauce, and fell in love with the Cilantro Garlic, Guava BBQ, Pineapple Rum, and Spicy Poyo Poyo. They were great both with our TropiChops and side dishes. There was so much food in the TropiChops and sides that we probably have enough food for two more meals, which is incredible, considering that everything cost around $20 total for that huge amount of food for three people. So yes, vegetarians, go to Pollo Tropical, against your instincts. Be happy and very full for cheap.

Food ordered / check out complete at 8:20 PM on a Friday night. Restaurant less than 30% full. More dirty tables waiting to be cleaned than occupied. Drive through had less than two cars. Staff less than fully engaged in work. Staff moderately engaged in horseplay in dining area. Those not goofing off were standing around acting like they were doing something constructive. Burnt / dry / tasteless / incomplete food order delivered to table at 8:45 PM. Got refund. Took money and appetite elsewhere.

I WILL NEVER EVER GO BACK THERE AGAIN, they can't get an order right to save their lives. Every time I go there to order a meal I tell them no beans (because I'm allergic to beans) and every single time I tell them specifically NO BEANS, I find plop of beans everywhere in my meal and now I can't eat it every single time. Rude employees, crappy service, and crappy food basically . I prefer the one in Palm Bay actually because they can actually get an order right. All I can say is I will go else where and not here again, AND will let others know as well so they won't have to waste their money at that filthy dirty place!

This place is incredible!! I am always looking for good quality food at reasonable prices, and Pollo Tropical totally delivers! I first discovered this place in Orlando, and ever since then, I have been hooked! My go-to orders are either the quarter chicken with brown rice and black beans and balsamic tomatoes or the small Trop-a-chop with grilled chicken, half lettuce half brown rice, black beans, and all the way with tomatoes, corn, sautéed onions and peppers, and I top it with salsa, jalapenos, and the spicy Poyo sauce, YUM!! The grilled chicken on the bone is the most succulent, tender chicken I've ever had, and let me tell you, I know my chicken! I aint chicken though! Lol, never mind, don't pay attention to my wack sense of humor, haha!! The brown rice is perfectly cooked, the black beans are full of flavor, and the balsamic tomatoes are deeply flavorful! I love tomatoes with balsamic vinegar, because they seem to really make each other taste amazing!!! Give this place a try, and you will be hooked!!

Love the food, employees are awesome- but it is amazing how grossly understaffed they are every single Saturday evening. We were 6th in line tonight and it took us 20 minutes to place our order- with only ONE cash register open. It would be quicker to get table service elsewhere.

This restaurant was great when it first opened. The staff was friendly and fast and the food was great. Over the past couple months, I got a few bad meals from here. I didn't go back for awhile, decided last night to give it another try. I can honestly say, I won't ever go back and eat there. First problem, it was pretty slow and the food took nearly 30 minutes to arrive at our table. When ordering, I asked for no bread roll as I have extreme gluten allergies. The plate came with the bread touching the chicken and left crumbs behind. I couldn't touch the one chicken piece since the bread had contaminated it. (People with true celiac understand how just a trace can harm you). The chicken was dried out and flavorless. I was really disappointed in my dinner last night. I will not be returning ever again.

The food is ok when it comes to Hispanic food. I ordered a family meal today to find out it no longer came with rice! I had to pay $3 for a side order. I can buy a whole bag of rice for that and feed a village. I'm disappointed in you Pollo Tropical. Shame shame!

Excellent, fresh and really inexpensive. We had the TropiChops with chicken, which were very tasty with the fresh sauces at the salsa bar. Good kids options too.

This place is awesome. The chicken is expertly grilled. There are an abundant amount of sauces available. The sides are great. Try the Caribbean corn souffle and mac n cheese, both are to die for.

The name 'pollo' translates to chicken in Spanish, so it is pretty logical to think that the items on their menu would be basically all chicken or meat based. WAS I WRONG! I commend Pollo Tropical on their adaptation to its customers' dietary restrictions, unlike other fast food/sit in restaurants. This particular restaurant had a drive thru. I ended up going inside due to insecurity about what to order (since I am a vegetarian), and I am glad I did. Once inside, looking at the décor of the place, chicken-themed famous pieces of artwork, I couldn't help but smile at its comic simplicity. The order counter was nice and easily took our order. The entrées are nicely sized and extremely filling, enough for a lunch and dinner. The customizable Tropi-Chop is similar to the Chipotle burrito bowl, but offers many more varieties like yellow, brown, and white rice. It also tastes much better, as well as coming in for a better price. Pollo Tropical also offered various side dishes, suitable for anyone's tastes, because they range from waffle fries to guava bars. The yucca bits and the fried plantains were fantastic, and tasted so fresh. The corn soufflé was very warm, soft, and wasn't too dry. I feel sad that the food industry can't increase the quality of their foods to be of a higher quality, like this soufflé. The various sauces that Pollo Tropical offers are unlike those I've ever seen, with sauces like Pineapple Rum and Cilantro Garlic and I enjoyed every one of them. Seating was comfortable and clean, but it wasn't very adjustable for large groups. However, if you are coming to get work done, this is the place to go to. The restaurant was very up-to-date, with FREE Wifi and charging outlets at every table. Overall, I truly enjoyed my experience at Pollo Tropical and believe that it is underrated as a food chain. I know that I will come back, and will be able to enjoy even more great options there.

The chicken was succulent and tasty. They had a good choice of sides: black beans, rice and veggies, mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese, to name a few. There's a bar where you get sauces that was a mess. They need to rethink that setup. Workers are friendly, no tipping. I would go again and try the pork. This is fast food, but a little more pricey. Good service here.

Yes I am a fan of Pollo... Never had this up north. Its an inexpensive way to get grilled Chicken with a latin/ caribbean flare. Whole fam of 4 can eat for 20 and its not fast food. I always have been satisfied. Try the shrimp skewers too and Plantains area always a good side with black beans and rice. YUM!
