Been going to this place just off US 1 for a couple of years. It has a warm interior, you feel like you are going home when you walk in, friendly staff, with very reasonably priced food to make paying easy. My favorite is the Sea Bass along with a nice bottle of white wine and my girlfriends for great conversation.

The wait was longer than what was told and the general service although slow, was courteous, the Chilean sea bass was worth all the wait and inconvenience. The fish was so tender and flakey but had a crispy crust that was just delicious. I'd definitely order this dish again.

We seem to wind up at this place every time we go to Florida (former residents, we go "home" a lot). The menu has lots of great options -- of course, plenty of local seafood is represented. That's what I had, some grilled grouper. The service is good, the food is excellent, the lighting is dim and the ambiance is nice. If it was only out on a pier or a dock I'd give it five stars. Still, a great place for a date night or a gathering with good friends. Bad friends, meh...take them to Taco Bell.

Although it doesn't look like much from the outside, Pineda Crossing is a great spot with delicious food and even better service. I had dinner there Friday night before a show at the King Center. Even though the restaurant was packed, the waitress was extremely accommodating and attentive, and made sure we were out in plenty of time for the show. I had the Hawaiian chicken soup - which was surprisingly tasty and the seafood and pasta entree which was also good. My wife had the fried shrimp with mashed sweet potatoes. Also very yummy. My inlaws had the chicken marsala and the Caesar salad with mahi mahi. Both were excellent. My mother in law ordered the chicken with the sauce on the side and low salt and it came exactly as ordered. We definitely will be back.

Wow. I have nothing but great things to say about this place! Went for lunch on a Thurs. decided to go a bit big and got the Soup & Salad with the Lobster Bisque, plus an order of the Fried Oysters. The bisque was out of this world, with a very generous portion of the sweetest lobster included. The salad was great (loved the house champagne vinaigrette) and the fried oysters were big, fresh, and crispy. Plus the Cajun dipping sauce was a neat kick! My service was outstanding, and I will go there again when I'm back in town!

I have been here before but honestly it has been some time. My group of five arrived and were promptly seated. Our drink order was taken, maybe not very promptly but in a reasonabke amount of time our thirst was quenched. After hearing the specials I irdered the blue crab bisque and jambalaya. The bisque was very tasty and the jambalaya was unique and plentiful. There was just so much food that regretfully dessert wasn't an option. The staff here was very friendly and helpful in explaining the menu. We really enjoyed our time, food, and the service at Pineda Crossing. Well be back soon.

Apparently I have this place confused with Pineda Inn in the same area. That was pretty bad marketing in naming a place nearly the same as the other in such a small area, but I have zero clue which came first. So this review is for Pineda Inn. I cannot even believe that this place has 4 stars! Way to go Pineda! I mean the staff was so nice that I am honestly glad that they have a 4 star rating, and for the area, I hope they continue to do well. With that said, let's get back to reality. If you are living in Melbourne, or living in a small town with little to no options and no exposure to a great restaurant, then maybe this is actually a 4 star, but in reality if you are from a big city or live in one and exposed to many more options and quality, than no this is not a 4 star. So, we came here from Los Angeles for the Nationals spring training, stayed for a month for work and couldn't catch a break as far as a good dining experience or even a good atmosphere. We didn't eat at Pineda as we had just come from a horrible meal at River Rocks down the road and swore off eating out ever again in Florida. Pineada served its purpose, a few drinks, very cheap. The bartenders were super nice, but I think it's because it was a Sunday afternoon and the two girls were already shit faced behind the bar and it was only like 4PM. I don't blame them one bit because every sleaze ball old dude in there was hitting on them hard core, I would have to main line vodka to put up with that shit. The place is a bit dirty, the outside bar was closed. I don't know, Melbourne is just a dump of an area in general, I don't want to take it out on this place, but really there's no winning place to hang out in the area at all, so if you can muster a smile and a cheap drink here, go for it, for what's it worth. But in reality, it's a depressing area as a whole and we were pretty bummed their gaming equipment was all busted. Try throwing electronic darts at a plastic dartboard on the wall that was broken for years as the bartender told us finally.

This restaurant gets 4 Stars because it's in the Melbourne area, where frankly I haven't found any restaurant that would qualify as a 4- or 5-star in other cities. That being said, the service is outstanding, the kitchen knows how to cook vegetables, the complimentary salad is terrific, the bread is fresh and excellent, and for the most part, seafood is prepared with respect. Like most restaurants in the area, they tend to slightly overcook flat fish, and they tend to oversauce everything, but if you order carefully, you'll have a thoroughly enjoyable meal. I'm personally partial to the seared tuna.

Lunch service is wonderful! You can still enjoy a gourmet meal and be back to work on time! The servers are friendly and know the menu from front to back. Dinner service is more a fine dining experience. The atmosphere is still casual but the food is amazing! I've never had a bad meal here. I recommend the mahi for lunch, and you can't go wrong with any of their steaks or dinner specials.

I was not welcome here, for reason I can only extrapolated. I dressed in resort casual attire, and smelled nice. My only problem was probably being a woman, or being Asian, or both. The hostesses looked at me as I walked in with a smile, and carelessly looked away. My husband was behind me, holding the door for another couple, whom she greeted. I said hi to get her attention and got no respond. My husband, a Caucasian man, quickly noticed that I was ignored, so he asked for a table. One of the hostess responded that we would have to wait about 15 minutes. As we sat down at the wait area, he asked me if I wanted to go somewhere else. He thought her reaction toward me might be sexist. I thought it might be sexist, racist, or both. Her reaction may or may not reflect the business' general attitude. Nevertheless, I did not feel like spending my money at a place where my presence was not welcome. We left and went to Seafood Atlantic (see my review for them), where we got an outstanding service and fantastic food.

Great food and service. We had grouper and snapper with crab bisque. Bread pudding for dessert. Always a good choice for dinner.

We got here before our reservation and found the early bird special. Great prices. Very fast and attentive service. We had the fried mahi Mahi with rice, vegetables and salad. Beer and wine were half price but good. Decor was fine. Not gourmet but tasty food at a good price and fast service. Sauce was good. Veggies were so so. Salad was'ok' but not more.

Excellent food. I had the fish special which was cooked very well. Date had steak and it was amazing! Creme brulee was excellent end to fabulous dinner. Cute little restaurant. My only complaint and pet peeve is waitress reaching over dessert to pick up completed check. Its just tacky.

Had lunch here today. The stuffed avocado salad was quite tasty. The ingredients were very fresh and it exceeded my expectations. Other diners had burgers which they reported as very good. Friendly service and quality ingredients = 4 stars in my book. Will be back.

I've been here several times in the past two months - all the visits were fantastic. The salads are a great start and the seafood is great - very fresh and well done. The side dishes complement the entrees very well. Given the quality of the food and the great presentation, the prices are very reasonable. Service is very nice - attentive without being intrusive. The fried oysters are exceptional and the crab cake appetizer is more than a meal in itself.

Came here with a group. Place was highly recommend and it was actually very good! Menu has fish (hey, it's coastal, I'd hope so!) and other fresh and excellent seafood. Also steaks. Good wine and beer selection too. The location is easily accessible and worth a visit

My wife and I had our first date here in September 2002 and were engaged here in November of same year (gravel parking lot, one knee, get the picture? :) ), so, I'm definitely prejudiced in favor of Pineda Crossing! For us it is our slightly too expensive go-to place to celebrate anniversaries - 1st date, engagement, birthday's, wedding (had large party here for 10th anniversary!) and sometimes just to celebrate. Over the years have noticed there are other diners who are well known by staff and are treated accordingly - presumably because they keep the lights on... We're "known" also (by a few of the servers), only not anywhere near as well as the "regulars"... Oh, yea, the food...well, we still come back and usually enjoy good food although over the years food quality has declined somewhat. Have had some pretty mediocre food on occasion, but mostly very good food. Menu has shrunk over the years. Gone are lamb, baked brie, etc. - probably not big sellers. Presentation back in 2002 was top-notch - not quite as much anymore. We still talk about how nice salad was back in the day. Early bird specials? They have them but don't be surprised if "someone else just got the last one - sorry" (I think she said "sorry" - maybe not...) Table service? Sydney (sp? - sorry), Donna, Debbie (now gone) and Veronica are our favorites (Donna served our 10 year anniversary meal - superb job!). Rest of serving staff are usually adequate - some better than others - naturally. Have been neglected (well, pretty much) - drink refills, "how's your food" if we did not order liquor - especially by nameless servers. Bottom line - we still go there (as long as we're not pinching pennies too much) and anticipate a good experience - planning to go there next month for a birthday dinner with family. So, "I'm a fan" - eat there by all means - but know that you may need to be a little "assertive" to get good service and food - or it may just come naturally because that's the way it used to be and still is - usually :)

4 stars given the area it's in. Melbourne simply has no really good restaurants. We've been there at least a dozen times. Parties of 2 or 4. All the meats and fish are excellent, cooked just right, decent portions. Salads, sandwiches and soups are excellent, well above most restaurant fare anywhere let alone Melbourne. Veggies are tired, rice is Uncle Ben fare and potatoes are boring (other than fried varieties). Service is excellent, wine list not bad. Careful about the sauces. Creative cooking is one thing but over saucing a good piece of meat/fish is quite another. They offer many choices as well as will put the sauce on the side, so read the menu carefully before you place an order. We don't care about the atmosphere as we go there to eat and in Melbourne it's hard enough finding decent food let alone looking for atmosphere that fits our tastes. Overall, we keep going, keep looking for better and keep returning after trying other places.

Pineda Crossing is a little restaurant at the mainland side of the Pineda Causeway. They serve seafood and steak and other great things for lunch and dinner. The Blue Crab Bisque is absolutely fantastic. I can't imagine being disappointed with a meal there. The attention to detail is wonderful, right down to the ice cold salad plate. I can't recommend this place enough! Bon appetite!

My family has dined at this tremendous little restaurant many times for many years. Whether on a date or a party of 15, we have never been disappointed. The owner is warm and outgoing, the service staff has always been no less than wonderful, the kitchen knows what it does and does it well. The house salad with field greens and their homemade champagne vinaigrette is the best salad in the county. Their creative, yet grounded, seafood specials always please and steaks are just as good. One last word, the bartender rocks. I don't think there's a drink he can't make.

It's just not there for the money. Decent sandwich, overdressed Caesar salad, below average burger, very salty crab bisque. Not making plans to return soon.

BIG FAN... Each year I visit my husband down at Spring Training and we are always looking for a good place to get dinner. In general, everything down there is OK. We came here on a recommendation from a friend and were very pleasantly surprised. I just loved everything about it. Don't judge it by the outside, because inside is adorable and welcoming. Felt as though I was in New England, it is a family run place with delicious food. I had the surf and turf... talking about it makes me hungry. We both enjoyed everything. The owner even made rounds to every single table in the place during peak time, which I thought was very nice. I also sent my parents here when they were visiting my husband a few weeks later. They loved it as well. Give it a try!

I'm going to dissent with several opinions on this one!! There aren't too many places around the Melbourne area that represent a different level in dining. Fortunately, the Pineda does that. We have been several times. I'll get to the food, but firstly, you need to picture a more New England - Pennsylvania type of inn, they even have a few old snow sleds hanging on the walls among the other interesting adornments, not too common of a site in Brevard County.. The shaker style seating and the general decor of this restaurant make it quite different from what we are used to around these parts. Tthis is a place with fine but casual dining for grown-ups! We have always found the food to be excellent, though I cannot go through specific dishes, I can say that we have never had a bad meal here. The waitstaff always have been quite pleasant and I cannot remember a time when we have had bad service. The bar is friendly, and if there's a big game going on...it's there on the tube (can we still say that?)! It is, however, one of the pricier places in town, but not out of line... This is a very nice place to go for a special occasion. How about tonight??

Sadly this place is very overpriced. The menu options try to be upscale and fall flat, just looking like weird twists on sad, old standards. I really wanted to like this place because I have friends who absolutely adore it. I suppose because of how much they talked this restaurant up, I went into the experience with my hopes set too high. Either way, overpriced food and weird decor. It's very dark in there, which I didn't particularly care for. Sadly, I won't be going back.

The atmosphere was nice but we felt that the food was very over priced and there weren't very many options apart from seafood.

I have lived in Brevard for 8 years and my husband and I have eaten at Pineda crossing more often than any other restaurant. We almost always get the specials. The Friday ads in the local paper almost always lure us in. I am particularly fond of the black bean soup and the bread pudding dessert.a. The booths are really comfortable but we love sitting at the Indian. We have the chicken and lamb specials to be particularly good and the sea scallops are always well-prepared. Another particular favorite are the mashed potatoes - always flavorful and delightfully lumpy. Shrimp sand grits for lunch and early dinner on Thursday is excellent. Wait staff are attentive and friendly.

My favorite restaurant in the Melbourne area. Really varied menu that ranges from quesadillas to southern fried chicken to macadamia crusted mahi, plus nightly specials. Great bar. Only down side is that it only takes reservations for groups of 5 or more.

After 4 year of living here I can say without a doubt that Pineda has consistently the best service to be had in Brevard County! Food is also quite good. May be a little pricier than some of the other local restaurants but you get what you pay for. Not a place for kids but wonderful for a ladies lunch, business lunch or evening out.

I ate here for the first time several days ago. I had the "chicken tuscany" and the corn chowder. Both dishes were tasty, but nothing spectacular. I would try this place again though. The service is really friendly and I dig the "funky casual setting" too.

Fantastic food in a funky casual setting. Nicely varied menu with interesting and delicious daily specials. Full bar. They only take reservations for large groups so get there early to avoid a wait. This place is very popular.

Not bad, but nothing extraordinary either. The service was really fast and friendly and they have a solid happy hour for beer.

Holy crap! There's good vegetarian food in Florida! Previously the only good food I'd had in Florida was ethnic (I've got no problem with that, but I travel with a lot of unadverturous types and it takes a lot to talk them into it). The decor is pretty cute...antique sleds, sports gear, and (for some reason) a child's cowboy costume. It was crowded (did I mention it's some of the only good food on the Space Coast?), so we ended up eating at the bar to avoid a 40 minute wait. The service was slow (the lone bartender was over-worked), but good. While waiting for my meal, I had a mojito. It was pretty danged good...not at all sweet, a little tart, and perfectly minty. It was kind of pricey at $7.50, but it was huge, so it was almost like two drinks. I ordered the grilled portobello, which arrived topped with cheese and wilted baby spinach accompanied by a black bean-corn cake and grilled zucchini topped with roasted tomato sauce. Everything was outstanding, so much so that I crammed it all into my stomach even after it was full. Warning: They only take reservations for groups larger than 5, which is annoying.

The food was very good , however the waitress was so surly she made the experience terrible. In fact the whole staff was off putting. I think management should encourage the staff to have a better attitude. We won't be back.
