Cheap and casual, but delicious crab legs!

Great service, great seafood. Coming from the mid-Atlantic, I had been missing crabs. Now we found our place.

Holy Crab!!! Are you frigging kidding me over here?! Dude, this place is awesome; literally. The quality of the seafood is virtually incomparable. Crab cake is a must have. The cod was fantastic. The drinks were generous. The mess was remarkable! Kahlua Chocolate Mousse Pie; yes ma'am!

I got crabs! We ordered a dozen blue crabs, fresh steamed broccoli and a pitcher of beer. Josh was our server and crab meat removal instructor. He was a great teacher and we were pigging out on terrific crab meat in no time. Josh was always checking in with us and making sure we were happy. This guy knows how to take care of you. A dozen crabs is certainly more than enough for two so come hungry and be ready for a fun time. From the crab mallets and bibs, right down to the roll of papertowels on each table for the after dinner cleanup, everything is nicely provided to attack these monsters. Combine the food and service with the great attitude and you are in for some fun!

I love the fish and chips!!! You must try the fish nuggets with the golden brown french fries and you still get another side for only 10.95. The owners are super clean people which makes me feel that I can trust the food that they are preparing in the kitchen. Real authentic food in a New England atmosphere.

We started with artichoke & crab dip which was excellent and then moved on to blackened mahi mahi for dinner. The fish was one of the best I've ever had but the side dishes, rice pilaf and mixed veggies were mediocre at best. Our waitress was very helpful and knowledgeable and the food was served in a timely manner. Overall I highly reccomend this place for dinnner.

Crab legs were plentiful and delicious despite not having an option of getting them prepared with an old bay type of seasoning or anything like that. Two options for melted butter...garlic butter or original. Both were yummy and complemented the crab legs well. Red parsley potatoes were nothing special and I wish I had passed on them. The restaurant has a decent ambiance. Nothing special but not a complete dive either. However, as the sun went down there didn't seem to be any lights in the dining room. It got very dark in there before I finished my meal. Server was not very attentive to me though I watched her spend extra time and provide good service to her other table (a much larger table and I was by myself..bit sure if that contributed to her lack of attentiveness to me or not.) It took her an unreasonable amount of time to check back with me after my food was delivered and then I never saw her again until she brought my check. Never asked if I wanted a second glass of wine. Plain Cheesecake is not good. Give one of the other desserts a try instead.

If you like seafood then get your butt here. The portions are amazing, the price is very good and the staff is very friendly. The restaurant itself is very clean. Sunday's might be the best day to go. It's slower in there due to the owner being off and the locals know it's slow. Not that it's a bad thing. It made for a very pleasant experience. Did I mention the food? I had the fisherman's platter for one, it was enough for about 3-4. You won't leave hungry from here for sure. Next time we're in town this will be a regular dinner spot for us. The menu is very good as well, it has many good selections for non-seafood lovers as well. The pasta looked very good and from the sounds of the people who ordered it, it was just as good. What are you waiting for?? Get here and eat!!!

Come here for the food; not the ambiance. Had a nice dinner here out on the back deck. The crab cakes were good but the sides (steamed broccoli and rice pilaf) were just okay. My dining companion ordered the Fisherman's Platter for 1 and it came with a ton of food. Be prepared to sit there for a while if someone at your table orders this platter. We finished with a slice of the key lime pie, which was fabulous. Apparently, the pie is a special recipe by Robin, the owner. Overall, solid food choice if you want seafood but I give it no points for the atmosphere.

Long wait and poor service. The food was not good either. It wasn't even busy. I don't recommend.

The best crab house Ive been to. *Family owned and operated* Every type of crab I could've asked for. Every crab dish I could've asked for! Came to the beach just looking for a place like this. Drinks were good. Atmosphere is good. Staff & owner are phenomenal. Want to go back every time I'm in Melbourne.

Had our sons wedding rehearsal dinner at the crabhouse. Robin, Bernard & Vanessa made the experience so delightful. Well be back again and again

Visiting Melbourne for the weekend, my family and I decided to give this spot a try for dinner. We were all in the mood for seafood, and this place did not disappoint! From the outside, it looks a little hokey. We weren't sure if we going to have options for non-fried seafood, but a quick look at the menu showcased a huge selection of options, even for the non-seafood eater. There is a huge patio overlooking the water, but since it was chilly we opted to sit inside at a picnic table next to the pond/fountain thing in the middle of the dining room. Lots of jokes about the seafood coming from this fountain were made. The hostess explained the picnic tables were set up so groups who order crab have plenty of room to spread out. Makes sense. Our server was really friendly and took good care of us. We started with the crab dip, which was served with tasty tortilla chips. Very creamy and the saltiness from the chips made it a perfect combo. All of the seafood options looked really good, so we decided to order three and share everything. The Mahi Blue Lagoon was by far my favorite dish. We requested it blackened, and with the melted bleu cheese on top, it was perfection. The Grouper Atlantis, covered in crab meat and a tasty white wine sauce was also really good. I liked dipping my broccoli in the sauce. Our third entree was the Robin's Bake, which was crab meat mixed with romano cheese and a very rich cream sauce. The crab meat was a little lost in all the stronger flavors. I think this dish would be good with pasta to mix with the sauce, but by itself it was too much sauce and not enough crab. Overall it was a nice relaxing meal. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food, as we were expecting this to be your typical fried food kind of place. We left full and happy with the great service.

A nice little place. Worth the stop. Crab dip appetizer was bland, salt helped a lot. Grouper sandwich was large with a very good blackening. Good price at $9.95. Hush puppies were excellent. Fried platter was very good except onion rings looked frozen and were beer battered (not our thing). Good service and clean except for the soda fountain which made sodas taste bad.

Pretty disappointed. The food was average and the atmos resembles the former fast food joint that was there before. It's a waterfront restaurant, use it. It's shocking to me that they haven't put a dock in and capitalize on the location. It just feels like ownership doesn't take pride in what they do anymore. Bummer

Never again. Slow bad service. Dirty. Disgusting food that made three in my party feel ill. I usually try not to judge to harshly from one visit, but this place was just awful.

The service and food were excellent! We sat outside, were waited on promptly, and checked back with several times. My four year old son was with us and the waitress was very personable with him. She even gave him a free ice cream!

  • Christina A.

All frozen. Not one kind of fresh fish. The owner instructs servers to lie about stuff being fresh and making the desserts. One dessert made on site. We live in Florida and theyre too cheap to get fresh fish? 24.95 for improperly cooked prime rib? Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.

Let's face it, this place is not an upscale restaurant more along the lines of a true shack, but the food and service make up for the atmosphere. If you're looking for crab cooked perfectly and at a good price, come here. Our waitress (Katrina I think) was beyond friendly and actually steered us into ordering a less expensive option than what we were going to order (get the Ultimate Feast for 1, but more then enough for a couple). I noticed the king crab was smaller on our Ultimate Feast than the kings on the king crab 1 and 1/2 lb specific orders, but cooked perfectly regardless. The $2.00 steamed broccoli, hush puppies, and potatoes were better than I expected too. Definitely worth the stop! Oysters were also tasty, not sure what kind, looks like we already ate a few in the pic I posted, oops, I revealed the secret in preparing the perfect oyster.

This place was recommended by some people at our hotel. So happy it was! This is a less touristy place (with less touristy prices) with a family owned feel. The owner even came over and sat with us for a while and brought us a sample of the crab bisque (heavenly!). I had the crab sampler (more than I could eat), my husband had the prime rib (way bigger than the menu said it would be). They where both perfectly delicious. The key lime pie is the real deal. Highly recommend!

Wife and I took a daycation up to Melbourne to try out this crab house. Like others we were a bit apprehensive when we pulled up to only one other car in the parking lot on a Friday afternoon. We were welcomly greeted by Bernard, who we came to find out was the owner. He suggested we try the rock shrimps, which we had never heard of before and are glad we tried. They were awesome! ! Wife had the king crab legs and I had the fried seafood platter. Both we realitvley good, but it was the customer service that puts them at 5 stars. Bernard and his team are a shining beacon for others trying to find their way.

inedible. Gave it one star b/c I had to. This restaurant is for people who want a lot of food without concern that it be good. Sorry to the owners, I know it's hard work.

If you've got a family that's looking for seafood, this is a good choice. It's family style with nice big tables, real good crabs, and a lot of good roll up your sleeves kind of seafood. It's a good place and one hell of a good change from the fast food joint it replaced.

Saw the high reviews so I decided to check this place out for myself. Upon my first glance, I immediately realized it was an old macdonalds. Walking in, you walk right past the kitchen door and you see how much of a mess the kitchen is. I almost, and should have walked out right there. I eventually ordered what I thought would be a light dish; scallops with rice pilaf and green beans. I was informed they ran out of rice (you know how expensive that stuff is) so I changed to mashed potatoes. When my dish arrived, each separate item was in its own baking bowl and submerged in butter. I got about 1/4 of the way through it but had to stop. When the waitress noticed I didn't finish, she said "pretty buttery huh?" After I agreed, she walked away and returned with the check. No sorry, no "how can we fix this," just crickets. I'd advise nobody to go there based on the decor and decrepit condition the kitchen was in, but if you don't mind that stuff and your favorite food is butter, then this is your spot. Everyone else? Not so much

With seven customers in the grill during lunch hour, one would expect a blackened fish sandwich a little quicker than 10-12 minutes. Not completely understanding proper cooking times for fish, I will give a pass and not let that impact my rating. Service was nice but I wouldn't say quick. The food- really let down by the reviews. It was OK, not spectacular. Price was reasonable, so three stars are fair. I guess my expectations were too high.

Eau Gallie is a very good place to eat after a day on the beach. I tried the blackened grouper which was a little over seasoned, but was still good. The baked beans were excellent. What stole the show was the frog legs. Awesome. I haven't had good frog legs like I had at Eau Gallie since 1997. Lighly breaded and delicious. I ate everything on my plate and more. Would highly recommend and return. I was with 3 other people and the bill was $60.00, what a great deal.

I went inside and was the only patron in the restaurant. The waitress was very friendly and the food was incredible for the price. I'm positive it was made fresh and there was a large selection to choose from. When I left the owner came up to me and asked how everything was. An honest place from a trusted source.

So on the spur of the moment my husband and I took the kids to Ballard Park on Memorial Day without thinking how packed it would be. As a consolation we took the kids to get dinner and since we were in the mood for seafood and this place was on the way home we figured why not try it out. We're fairly new to the area and willing to try new places. When we pulled in the parking lot we weren't sure they were really open since there were onky 3 other cars in the lot, but they were so we went in. I was a bit apprehensive about the place because it's about 5 on a holiday weekend and it's empty. We were the only diners in the place (there was one girl at the "bar" but from the conversation I overheard she's a friend of the servers). Drinks and appetizers came out amazingly quick. Got the crab cake balls and coconut shrimp. Both were ehhhh, not bad but not great. Then we placed our dinner order and that took forever. Seriously we were the ONLY customers. Should not have taken as long as it did. And with a 7 year old and a 4 year old getting antsy, it seemed even longer. I got the blackened Atlantis Mahi which comes with dungess crab on top and smothered in hollandaise sause, hush puppies, and parsley red potatoes. First, the fish tasted fishy so I'm not sure how fresh it was. The hush puppies were fried within an inch of their lives and there was plenty of pepper on the potatoes, but no parsley in sight. Hubby said the burger tasted "weird". The kids got complimentary ice cream. That is what you'd get from an ice cream truck. I really wanted to like this place. I really did. One plus is that our server was really nice abd friendly. I could see us going back if the food was better.

First off, we thought they were closed. Only 2 cars in the parking lot. One was the owner/cooks car and the other was the servers car. Not one single person inside. My husband and I dined with our three kids. We all ordered water and my husband ordered a coke. The waitress spilled the coke in my husbands lap. She was very nice and apologized a dozen times and it was cleaned up fast. The cook/owner came out with a mop because he was worried about his floor getting sticky. REALLY? What about my husbands soaked lap? 2 of my kids ordered rock shrimp which we were told were from the Atlantic. They were not! I know this because I work at a seafood restaurant whose specialty is rock shrimp. My youngest ordered a kids chicken tenders. Nothing to write home about. He offered us free ice cream but every kid gets free ice cream. I ordered the shrimp tails platter which was very good except the fried shrimp were tossed in butter which made them very soggy. My husband ordered buffalo chicken tenders which was not the traditional buffalo sauce, but a homemade hot sauce. Owner came to our table to chitchat and seemed very nice but even though my husband was covered in coca cola, not one thing was done to our check. He could've atleast taken the coke off our check, or even his $7.95 "buffalo" chicken tender basket with no sides. We will never dine here again.

Rock Shrimp rocks! Finally, after hearing for so long about the famous local rock shrimp and how good it was, I got the chance to give it a shot. Driving down highway 1, I saw the sign out at the Eau Gallie Rive Crab House for their Rock Shrimp special, put on the brakes and scooted right in. Interesting decor, mix of picnic tables, different tables and chairs, fountain in the middle of the restaurant, a little rustic. Very pleasant service, was greeted by the owner who also came by during dinner to check in. My waitress was very pleasant and helped with some recommendations for my first visit. Back to the rock shrimp, they are in season on the local shore from late fall through winter...great timing for the trip. They had a dozen special for $12.95 or double dozen for $19.95 both included 2 side items. Settled for the dozen, great value, got onion rings and broccoli with cheese, I know it was a weird choice but I was feeling it. Also got an appetizer of deep fried crab cakes. Crab cakes, a little overcooked however still enjoyable. Nice mix of ingredients and lots of crab. The side items, broccoli was well cooked but a little bland, onion rings good stuff. The rock shrimp, very cool stuff. It's a shrimp with an identity crisis. It has the texture of shrimp with the taste of lobster. Came with drawn butter, I probably could have polished off the two dozen of these bad boys. Well worth the stop and experience to finally get to try these little gems. Now I understand why they get so talked up, pretty unique little creatures. They are on my list of good foods to search out in Melbourne when in town. Eau Gallie Crab House, interesting decor, hospitable staff, great value and food was worth stopping...give them a shot!

Went to Eau Gallie River Crab House based off of reviews from here on Yelp. Very unassuming and deceiving as we pulled up in the parking lot and it was quite empty on a Thursday night at 7:30 pm. We are here on vacation with all of my wife's side of the family, our kids and their significant others and our Grandkids. 15 in all and they seated us and made us feel very welcome. Very good on service, being courteous and prompt...I know, I said it was quite empty, but I've been in this situation plenty and it doesn't always mean the service would be hood. Food came out quick and appetizers were tasty and fresh. Eau Gallie crab dip w/ chips-A, Buffalo Shrimp-A, oysters on a half shell w/ horseradish and cocktail and crackers (very fresh). Entrees came. Highly recommend the original crab platter. Definitely worth $25. The kids and Grandkids even got free ice cream and the place just absolutely believe in the customer is first. We had a great experience. Oh and I'll say my son in law as well as my sister in law said that these were the best crab legs and seafood they had ever had.

The owner himself came out and personally showed us how to properly crack open a whole crab. This restaurant has a warm, friendly, and casual family style atmosphere. The food is absolutely delicious and very well priced. This is definitely a restaurant worth revisiting.

This was the second time I've been here. The first was many years ago, and had some Maryland Crabs which were good as I recall.. I visited this place again about a month ago... The atmosphere is very casual, and friendly. The staff attentive and prompt. We ordered a few appetizers - the fried oysters and clam strips. The fried oysters were very nice, the breading not too much yet just enough and the flavor was fresh and great... The clam strips large, a bit chewy but tasty... Then for the main course, I ordered the snow crabs. First off, I am an avid snow crab fan and order them when ever I have an opportunity. The snow crabs here were a bit of a disappointment. They were over cooked, the crabs hard to snap open and the meat sticking to the shell... The flavor was good, but again they did not appear as fresh as I would have liked.. My friend ordered the dungeness crab, and appeared to have enjoyed them. I will give this place another try, and update my review when I do so...

My wife and I were here on a weekend getaway. We were in the mood for seafood and saw the reviews for this restaurant. We got there a little later then normal. We had the rock shrimp as an appetizer, my wife had the crab cakes and I had the Ultimate Crab Fiest. The food was great!!! I had never had Blue Crab so I asked our waitress about how to eat it. She spoke to the owner (Robin) who came over to our table, sat down and showed us the easiest way to get the meat out of each type of crab. Robin was awesome. We had a lot of laughs with her. We wound up closing the restaurant. The meal was awesome and so was our interaction with everyone there. You won't be disappointed!!! We will definitely be back!!!

Ordered: Dozen raw oysters, 1lb of steamed 'Maryland-style' blue crabs, a couple of kids dishes and key lime pie & chocolate mousse. Highs: Service (loved Josh & the owners); the crabs were steamed and seasoned perfectly; the key lime pie was fantastic but the chocolate mousse was on a whole new level. Lows: none, excellent dishes in a casual beachy kind of place. Overall: We came in specifically for the steamed crabs and as former mid-Atlantic residents used to regularly eating Chesapeake crabs, we were not disappointed. Our kids were thoroughly pleased with their dinner and the owner was really sweet by bringing them crayons, toys, and even free ice cream. We live over an hour away but will be making a trip back soon!

When the only utensil you need for eating is a wooden mallet, you know you're in for a fun meal! The restaurant provides both indoor and outdoor seating. Although if you choose to eat inside, it's setup to still look like outside (you have to see for yourself). The tables are lined with huge sheets of paper towels, so don't worry about making a mess. To drink, I always go with the local beer. The one brewed nearby is called Key West, I would highly recommend. As an appetizer, I prefer the conch fritter. On my last visit to the Caribbean, I tried raw conch and it was pretty good. The conch fritter does not disappoint. As far as entrees go, any of the sampler platters will give you the best bang for your buck. But be careful, even the platter for 1 can too much. If it's your first visit (or any visit for that matter), I'd go with the Original Crab House Sampler. You get Blue Crab, Snow Crab, clams, shrimp, potatoes and corn.

I absolutely LOVE EG Crabhouse! The service is always fantastic, and the food even better. I have tried numerous things on the menu, everything is fresh and cooked to order. Their crab stuffed shells with the mezzo mezzo sauce is one of my favorites. I have actually met both owners (they remember me every time I come in) and they are wonderful, hard working people who can cook some great seafood. One of the owners is also the head chef and comes out to meet the customers on a nightly basis. Great place, I've been going there for 3 years and plan to continue going for a long time!

Great food and wonderful atmosphere. Crab was plentiful and perfectly prepared. Out of oysters due to the gulf oil spill but not a detractor. Mom and pop owned/operated. Definitely a place to support!

I tried Crab house for lunch and it was a let down. When I arrived at approximately only two tables one indoors and one out had diners. Nonetheless the service was slow. I ordered a blackened grouper sandwich at a price point of $8.95 and an ice tea. I was pleased to find out that I could substitute vegetable of the day for fries to make the meal more healthy. The vegetable of the day when I visited was broccoli. The décor at the Crab house is nothing special and is getting on in the years but there is a partial water view from most of the restaurant and their balcony. The partial water is the "Eau Gallie river not the Indian River and the other part of the view if US1 a/k/a Harbor City Blvd. To accompany the dated décor was very dated music, they were playing really bad Kenny-G style music that is I will call elevator music so as not to demean to good name of Jazz. Despite how empty the restaurant was in took quite a while for anyone to acknowledge my presence and seat me and this delay was followed by another one for them to take my order. The kitchen was not quick either. The blackened Grouper was a disappointment. While the fish was not over or under cooked and was reasonably fresh all I could taste was Old Bay seasoning. Old Bay is fine for boiling shrimp but is not a substitute for blackening seasoning. Perhaps I should have ordered crabs. I had no compliant about the tea or the broccoli. Lunch of a fish sandwich, side and tea took nearly an hour considerably longer than ordering the same or similar dish at Squidlips, Katanas, or Grills Riverside. Unless you are a crab lover going for crabs, the Space Coast has numerous better options for waterfront seafood dining.

Recommend!! My husband and I are visiting the area and decided to try this based upon the reviews, it was outstanding! We had the crab sampler for 2, with 4 drinks the bill was $65, well worth every penny! Highly recommend for visitors to the area. Great staff, sit outside and enjoy the view. We arrived at 5:00 the place was empty, but was told by the staff that it gets very busy later on the evenings.

Worst experience I've ever had, and as a former server, I really tried to be understanding. We had a party of eight (to which hostess/waitress replied, "You've GOT to be kidding me."), but we were in no hurry since we were in town visiting family and looking to enjoy a nice dinner experience. The waitress had to be asked three times to bring my husbands beverage even though every other drink came out fine. Then appetizers started showing up sporadically over the course of 15 minutes or so. By the time I got mine, entrees were showing up. EXCEPT for the kids' plates, which the waitress blamed on the cook misreading the children's plates as side dishes. Didn't make sense to me since we didn't see any side-dish-sized fish and fries come out of the kitchen either, but moving on. Our food was mostly room temperature, which made me almost hesitant to eat it (hello foodborne illness), and several side dishes never made it out (although they showed up on our bill). By the time the kids got their food and everyone else was pretty much finished eating, everyone had had enough. Even though I personally considered the large-party gratuity of 18% too generous given our server's performance, I didn't complain since they comped the two kids' meals and forgot to ring up almost every draft beer we had. This was the most disjointed and painful restaurant experience I've ever had, and the employee were only minimally apologetic if not completely unconcerned. Needless to say, I require a better experience when I'm paying more than $20 per entree, and this won't be on my radar when we visit Melbourne again this spring.

Oh, dear Lord! If this is the best in Melbourne, you folks need to keep on driving. The night we went, they were out of all crab except Dungenous and Snow crab. No samplers, no potatoes, no veggies, no onion rings, no corn on the cob. So basically, it was baked beans, cole slaw, rice or fries. For a dollar more, I got a salad that consisted of leaf garnish and a ton of Parmesan. Yuck! Our friends tried the crab they did have on hand but the server only brought a half pound, instead of a pound, which she said was all she needed to be full. That's fine, but she wasn't the one eating it. My "lightly seasoned" scallops were covered in a weird sauce which was all I could taste. We came here based on previous reviews but were sadly disappointed. Not worth going out for!

My usual way to find a good eating place is to ask the hotel clerk where the locals eat. Thus I learned about Eau Gallie River Crab House. Me and my friend had 3 appetizers and 2 meals and it was the best meal of the month. These guys know how to cook. Service was quick and friendly. The owners love what they do and are authentic, friendly, outgoing and unpretentious. My only complaint might be a bit too much talk from the cook, but it sure beats never seeing his face and we were the last customers of the day anyway. Great food, friendly owners, reasonable prices, fresh ingredients, quieter than average and easily findable - I will go out of my way to eat there again.

This is the 4th time I have been here and 3 out of 4 times they have been out of crabs. The last time we went I had family in from out of town and when 4 of us ordered the owners special dish after trying to order the crabs they told us they only had enough for 2 of the dishes. The food is ok at best. For the cost it's not worth the frustration of not being able to get what you want.

This is a horrible place - DO NOT RECOMMEND. We went for my girlfriend b-day 09-23 and they are suppose to be open till 9am (its clearly marked on the doors of the building). We arrived at 8:27 and the doors were locked. We waited until a person was leaving and were told that the kitchen closes at 8:30. We said that it was a special dinner for her birthday and the asian girl said "oh...happy birthday" and then closed and locked the door. Even the customer leaving was astonished as well at how poorly this girl handled the situation and the policy of locking the doors. I will never eat at this place. The times we did were ok at best - it is just the closest place to get crab to our house but they lost a customer today (normally I drop over $100 when we eat there). There are better places in town for crab with less attitude and they actually stay open to the times that they say they do. Why on earth would they have on the doors that they are open to 9 if they stop serving food at 8:27 - anyway not my problem...I feel better. Enjoy the review guys - I hope it was worth it alienating your one time clients.

This place is.....interesting. It used to be a Burger King and now it's a seafood restaurant with a fountain in the middle of it. Not that that has anything do with with anything, though. It's just interesting. There's even still a counter up front with ocean-themed photos now in place of where the menu signs used to be. Anywho.... When we first walked in, we were greeted by a delightful woman, who I think may be the owner. She sat us, went over the menu and pointed out a few of their special items. My friend, who is not a seafood fan, ordered their prime rib sandwich with onion rings and I ordered 1/2 pound of snow crab legs with onion rings and coleslaw (for only 10.95!). Strangely, my crab was delivered with garlic butter and I had to ask for regular butter...but whatev, I had my butter in no time after asking for it. I was also turned off at first glance by the fact that there was seasoning on the crab legs as I like mine plain but it didn't interfere with the crab at all and I found them to be quite delicious. I think my friend was happy with her prime rib sandwich. It's hard to tell when you ask how someone's food is and their reaction is always, "pretty good!" I don't usually like to push and ask them to elaborate but since she didn't complain, I'll assume she liked it. I don't get over to that area very often - maybe once a year - so I'm not sure I'll go back for the simple fact that there are other places over there that I want to try and while my food was delicious and reasonably-priced, it wasn't like an omg-I-MUST-come- back-here experience.

Been here a couple of times and first time wasn't really impressed. Went back recently and they turned us around. I had Cod and the parsley red Potatoes and the Cod was excellent. Caesar Salad was good also with Great Greens. We ordered the Eau Gallie Crab Dip and that came to our table bubbling and we had to wait a minute or two to have it settle a bit, BUT man it was really good with the home made tortilla chips. My wife had a pound of Snow Crab and that was also excellent. The atmosphere is great on a Saturday night. Because it is relatively small but is very nicely decorated and not too loud. Service was great although food came out a little slow this time. Not a big deal as long as it is good and it really delivered for us!!! My only complaint was the first time we went the Alfredo i got was a tad greasy. Can't remember what my wife got. We will be going back soon. Thank you EG crabhouse.

Yelp! You let me down on this one. I was in town visiting my sister and wanted to try some local seafood. I ordered the coconut shrimp app which came out in about 2 minutes. Sure enough it was cold and possibly uncooked in parts. I'm pretty sure they were reheated from being previously cooked or they were out of a box/bag. I returned them and was told that they would be "comp'd." Great! For my entree, the grilled Mahi Mahi was just okay but unseasoned and served with a side of tartar sauce. The mixed veggies were a large head of broccoli and the rice pilaf was mediocre wild rice. Yes, it's a crab house. My wife got the crab legs and said they were just alright. Nothing special in the seasoning, but not undercooked either. I recommend you look elsewhere. We had three kids, so this is where we ended up.

Fun seafood place. The rock-shrimp was OK, the blackened grouper was quite good, but crab combination platter was both huge and fantastic. The sides were ok, with the slaw being best. The owner will probably come sit with you and if you let him he will share some of his life's story. I would like to rate this 3.5. We probably would go back.

My grouper Atlantis was so overcooked I could barely cut it. Almost thought it was chicken. Our waitress gladly took it back and I ordered crab cakes. She left my rice and broccoli. After a lengthy wait, I got my crab cakes. She offered to reheat my broccoli and rice...Wtf! My crab cakes were borderline burnt on the edges, contained tons of bell peppers and the chunks were a little big. The "house sauce" was just weird. My boyfriend ordered the crab sampler. The sign stated no blue crab was available. They replaced it with snow crab. His shrimp were undercooked and mushy. He didn't eat any of them, and our server never addressed it. She also never acknowledged that the blue crab wasn't available. The shrimp poppers appetizer was wonderful. Apparently asking for separate checks and receipts for both (business purposes) was rather complicated and took a minute. Will not be returning here. Highly disappointed.

We had the crab dip & fried clam strips as appetizers, coconut shrimp, chicken strips, and snow crabs as entrees. Everything was excellent!!! The service was friendly and accommodating. We couldn't not have asked for a better place to eat dinner! I highly recommend checking this place out.
