I've been here probably ten times. The last time I ate here I was disappointed in the quality of the food. But to top it off, it is always so HOT in there. We stop in this afternoon on the way back to my house to have a beer and a burger. It was so HOT in there that we were actually sweating in our food. How was the food? Just OK for a burger and a beer. The service was fine. Here's my advice: this is Florida. Cut the damn air conditioning down. It's July. Really.

Take my review as a 3.5 star - it's not A-OK but I'm not exactly in love either. I will be back but maybe on an occasion where I'm not rushed. I grabbed lunch here on a Thursday with my boyfriend and service was as fast as a group of seniors playing bingo. I literally was starving to death and we waited a good 30 minutes for my shrimp quesadilla and his fish tacos. The fish tacos were really amazing - fresh and not fishy. It's a really healthy choice. However, they are a bit bland. (3.5/5) Shrimp quesadilla were tasty! No complaints here. However, points off for how slow we got our food...it takes 3 minutes to melt cheese on some flour..(4/5) I really liked the decor and the ambiance, like I said, it would be a great place to sit and have a drink while sampling the different sauces they offer. What I didn't appreciate is how you have to ask for guacamole because they're too cheap to just give it to you despite it's listed under the entree description on the menu.

Wings and burgers are on point. Here's the problem, I had 6 draft beers (Sam Adams). Price per beer?? $6!!! Yep, $6 per beer. Draft beer!! Who in the hell pays $6 for a draft beer?? $36 for six draft beers!! WILL NOT BE BACK. RIPOFF

This review only pertains to the wings. They're fantastic. I'm saying that as a former Buffalo resident. Come here for the wings. Service is good. Bathrooms clean. Sometimes the floor is slippery, so be careful when you walk around.

I have to say I'm a little baffled by the bad reviews of this place. It almost kept us from stopping by, but I'm really glad we did. The service was awesome. We were greeted as soon as we walked in and told to choose our seat. Not even 10 seconds after we were seated we were told by one friendly girl, "Someone will be right with you". And after another 30 seconds we were greeted by our also very friendly server and placed our drink order. Our server was very helpful with suggestions and brought out several of their many sauces for us to try. The menu is expansive and I liked that they had so many sauces you could mix and match into the entrees and apps. My husband ended up mixing two of their hottest sauces for his boneless wings while I opted for the thai garlic sauce for my shrimp. While we waited we ate some DELICIOUS garlic parmesean fries. They were a little oily but this was from the sauce. My only complaint is that there weren't enough of them! Food was brought to us promptly and our drinks kept full. Cool beachy, relaxed vibe. Two reasons they get a four instead of a five: the food is pretty typical bar quality (but the sauces make it interesting). And as other reviewers have said their prices are a little high. Still very good but not five star worthy... yet.

I'm still working my way through all of their sauces. This is a fun place that the family always enjoys. I love the fresh kettle chips and chicken strips. My wife love their fried fish platter (or sandwich). Watch for their coupons to save a few dollars.

My wife and I decided to try this place a 2nd time. ( the first time was also bad ,food and service, I would have rated it 0 stars then) We went there only because of the first 2 choices in the same plaza were closed Memorial Day and I had wanted to give them another try. This was a mistake!!! The service was great, and the food looked good. I thought they may redeem themselves. And then we tasted the food. We had "the perfect storm platter" (as an appetizer) of fried pickles (couldn't taste them because the batter overpowered the thin pickle slices) fried shrimp ( see above, batter overpowered the small shrimp) boneless chicken wings (average) and garlic parmesan fries (way overcooked , ok if you want crunchy fries) the sauces provided with them were good. We also had fish and chips, (again the fries overcooked but not as much, a few had a little soft center, the fish was ok, but just barely.) I ask for cocktail sauce for my fish, It came out with the food, but was FROZEN. We also had a Monterey Quesadilla, again nothing to write home about, we've had better. The tea and soft drinks were the only food we couldn't complain about. All in all, the food is generally better prepared and taste better at any local fast food joint. The price ($40) we paid was on the high side of local bistros but the quality of food well below that . There won't be a third try of this eatery.

We actually had YELPed a greek restaurant a couple shops down, but it was Sunday and it was closed. We were hungry, and despite the bad YELP review, we ate there anyway. We liked the environment and the menu looked good. There were six other people in the restaurant, but we were ignored after being told to have a seat for about 5 minutes, although the staff was hanging at the bar chatting. When the food came, they got both orders wrong. Nobody refilled our teas. A few hours after getting home, my wife got sick...here it is Thursday and she's finally recovering. The only thing she had earlier that day was an apple and a granola bar, so we know it wasn't any other food. Sorry, we won't be eating here again. Can you give a 'negative' review?

I enjoy going to Hurricanes. Typically a great mix of people. Always know someone there. That is good and bad I suppose. The wings are excellent. Very meaty. The Firecracker Shrimp is a good app. The food is a little on the expensive side I have to say. My wife enjoys the Red Rock Salad. Decent place to watch a game. If your not looking for a high end meal, want a laid back atmosphere with friendly people I endorse it. I do like the laid back beach vibe. Would become a bigger fan if full bar. Disclaimer... Friends with the owners and their family. It didn't change my review though.

Beer cold, lemon in the water looked like it was cut this year and the wings both boneless and bone-in were DT (darn tasty). Service efficient and friendly and what you'd want or expect at lunchtime at a wings place. I was impressed by the size of the wings my friend had (his were the 'traditional') but he mentioned they were seasoned a bit light (parmesan garlic) compared to usual. It's a bit of a trip and I pass two equally good spots to get there so it's more a 'meet with my friend' location but we've come here a few times now and everything has been fresh and tasty with very nice service. Good job.

You had ONE job Hurricane - don't suck at making wings when that is the food item you chose to include in your name! I called ahead to order pickup, had to wait quite awhile for another customer to place a very complicated to-go order that for some reason required the manager, whatever--eventually got my order of 10 medium Buffalo wings (bone-in). Verdict=fail. Wings were dry and overlooked (I am not a fan of 'crispy' wings), and I could detect NO flavor or sauce whatsoever. Did they drop it in the fryer and let the seasoning cook off? Why not toss them in some B-lo wing sauce so that I can, you know, taste something? The blue cheese was also very 'meh.' At least the celery was good. Maybe the other wing flavors are better, or their non-wing food is decent, who knows. I'm not local, so I won't be back - luckily, I live close to Buffalo where they know how to make a damn good chicken wing!

Hot teriyaki and Red Thai Chilli wings are my favorite so far. I started off with a Caesar salad at first. They have some amazing salads that are nice and fresh and give you plenty of time to eat them before the main entree. Great beer, amazing food, and a perfect beach theme atmosphere that'll make you swear that you can hear the ocean!

Great service and the food is great. The servers/bartenders are always sweet and accommodating. I love their sauce selection, there's a wide range and I like that they have non traditional flavors as well. It's a little pricey for bar food but I come anyway because it taste good and the service is always great.

I've only done take-out. But I loved it when I lived closer. Even still, I will & have taken the 30min drive out the way for their fried pickles. They ARE addictive, as the menu suggests!

Wings are ok, but overpiced. (papa bee's are better)The place is kind of small so when its full it seems cramped. The philly cheesesteak (both beef and chicken) are really good.

The wings here are pretty good, with over 30 sauces to chose room. And if Jackie is the bartender that night you will know when you pick up your order it will be correct. She will always double check it for you as soon as they bring it up. Shes always friendly and happy to help.. I just cant comment ony one else because it seems like Jackie works 7 days a week. We have dinned in twice though, our diffferent servers were also friendly, and food is always out fast even when they're busy. I just took off a star for personal pref. For what ever the reason I dont care for their salads and i think it was a chicken ceaser wrap i got once that tasted odd.. But everything else there is great

The service was fantastic. Our server, yesmin (sp), was so friendly and attentive. The food was just okay and a little pricey for what you get. I had a cheeseburger with two topping for about 11 bucks. The meat was cooked well, but the bread was somewhat stale. This particular store is in a shopping plaza with many other restaurants to choose from. I am NOT saying that I will not go back here, but I will probably give some of the other Stores a chance too.

Lunch today. Really good job. Several visits in a row of excellent food and service. I love the choice of flavors and the wings are large, not the baby wings you get at other places. Great atmosphere and friendly employees.

I stopped by here last night to watch some of the college basketball and to have some food and a few beers. My 4-star review from last year still stands. I tried an order of 10 boneless wings with the Coco Loco sauce (a tangy blend of coconut and Habanero Lime Seasoning, per the menu). It was great! This sauce is ranked as a Category 4 (out of a potential 5), in terms of hotness ... and it didn't disappoint. That sauce definitely has some "kick" to it and was very tasty. I would order it again anytime, though there are many sauce flavors from which to choose so, during future visits, it's going to be tough to order something I've already tried. During prior visits, I've sat inside only once - every other time I've been here (including last night), I've sat outside. I prefer being outside. The restaurant was busy last night, but it wasn't overly crowded or stuffy. The people who sat adjacent to us last night were personable and sociable. I hope to be back soon!

This place was really good. The prices were the norm. They had great sauces and the were all polite and prompt. We went on a Monday for the first time and enjoyed the kids eat free option. Would eat there again. They also have big tvs for sports. They have outside seating as well.

30 + flavors of wings. Parmesan garlic fries to die for. Been quite a few times and have yet to be disappointed! Wish one was closer to my house! You need to put this wing place on your list!

  • Cosmo W.

Great wings, cold beer. Service sucks when it's busy, but still good food! The sheer amount of different sauces and styles that you can order are mind-boggling. Plus you can mix and match and make up your own- they are very accommodating! And make sure to get a Flavor Rewards card, it's worth it.

We went here today for the first time. All I can say is this place is not good. The wings are overcooked, dried out and the product is way overpriced. Our server was a dingbat who knew nothing about their product. I called and was informed by phone that Tuesday was kids eat free night. When we got the bill, she had not taken off the kids meals. The server didn't even know they had kids night and sent over the manager. The manager was a server and a manager combination which is ridiculous. How can you properly manage a restaurant while waiting tables. When I talked to her about my concerns she basically refused to do anything about it. She was rude but eventually took off 1 kids meal. The food is below average, overpriced and poor customer service. Stick with Hooters or Wing House for wings.

We went on father's day. It was packed. They forgot to make my dad's food, which they did rush it out. They made it up by removing his meal, appetizer and all the drinks from the check. Everyone's food was good and besides that, the service was good. I would go back.

Really like the Honey BBQ wings and their seasoned fries. It's always buy when we go so we usually just get it to go but it's still really yummy.

When I think of wings, Hurricane's is at the top of the list. I don't like the breaded wings a lot of places serve and Hurricane's does a nice job of grilling their wings and giving you a zillion sauces to choose from. Honey-garlic are great if you aren't a hot sauce freak. Sit outside when the weather is nice, get some wings, parmesian fries, and a blue moon... you're set!

My family and I ate here once when they first opened up and while the service was awful the food was not too bad. So today when we happened to be in the area again we thought why not give them a try again, maybe they have the wait staff trained and it will impress us. Not so much. Sadly the service was worse than the 1st time if that is even possible! The waitress seemed less than happy that we were even in the place to the point that my 8yr old son said "wow she is full of personality, huh?" I could maybe overlook bad service, as we all have bad days, if the food would have delivered but since it was as lackluster as the service I can say will certainty, we will not be going back!

This is a great wing place and the atmosphere is great. I love the red rock chicken salad. The waitstaff is friendly and the bartender is awesome. Not a full bar though, which is the only improvement I would make!

The service and food is very good. The prices are in line with all the other restaurants in the area and the atmoshphere is excellent. If you have kids or just want a fun place to eat this is the place to go to in the area. My kids first choice is always Hurricanes! GG

I work next to the plaza this just opened in. I went here for lunch with a few of my co-workers. There were six of us. We walked in and though crowded, found a table relatively quickly. A server came over and wiped it off for us as we sat down. Other than that the whole experience was terrible! It took 20 minutes for someone to take our drink order and another 20 to get those drinks. According to the server that got our drink she was just helping out the person who was supposed to be our server but we never saw anyone else. We flagged her down to take out order but the place was so loud even that part was annoying. We then waited at least 30 minutes for our food: 1 chicken sandwich, 1 chicken salad, 3 10-pc boneless wings and my blue cheese/jalapeno dip. This cheese dip cost $8.99. For $8.99 I expected creamy blue cheese with diced jalapeno (or something to the effect). Nope! I got white cheddar queso with a handful of blue creese crumbles on top and 5 jalapeno slices that probably came out of #10 can just like the cheese. I like fake cheese as much as the next person but for 9 bucks I can buy 2 bags of chips, a jumbo jar of white cheddar queso and a six pack of PBR. Needless to say I was disappointed. I can't speak for the rest of my group but they didn't seem too thrilled. I was told that the chicken sandwich was dry. One order of boneless wings was blackish in the middle and we never got a reason why, they just took them back and eventually replaced them in a to-go container. It was busy and I felt bad for the server but that was probably the worst dining experience I've ever had. I can handle waiting for food if I feel like the server cares but I can't stand being ignored. The food equaled the service and I am not sure if I will ever go back.

Had a $5 off coupon so I thought I'd give them a try for take-out wings (4 flavors) and tropical cheesecake. Taste was OK, but the high prices and small quantities makes them a very poor value. The cheesecake slice was 1/3 of what I would expect for $6 and the wings were tiny. Wings were dry and tiny. Nothing like the big boys at Route 46 Smokehouse. Sauces were OK, but nothing special. OK food. Very poor value!

I'm a pretty regular customer here, and I will continue to be. Not only is the establishment close to my house, but also, the waitresses are fun, the owner is friendly, and the food is decent. It can be loud at times, but hell, it's a quasi-sports bar, so what would one expect? The food is always hot and the beer is always cold. Tuesday trivia nights are great fun. They have a HUGE variety of hot sauces for the wings, and the burgers are good. I'm never disappointed there. Try the piña colada cake for dessert. My only minor complaint is that the tables can be a little too close together if you have two fat guys back to back (or even one REALLY big fat guy behind your partner).

  • Tom A.

It was a busy day when i came here (Saturday) but was still able to find a place to sit even though this place is a bit crowded specially on the weekend the tables are placed very close together and the place it self is small but has a good atmosphere and the people that work there are pretty nice and friendly as far as the food it is not to bad but not the best , I had a grilled sandwiches dip in Honey BBQ sauce with fries and a drink and the Sandwich it self was good but the fries were kind of cold over all the food was decent enough to eat specially when you hungry it is better then nothing but as far as the prices it is a bit overpriced like some of the burgers are $8-9 bucks and I got the sandwich and a drink and my total was $9 buck witch is not to bad for what i got overall. They also offer a full bar with beer and other alcoholic beverages and the menu is your typical of a bar with wings, burger, sandwich and salads.

My husband and I have been going to different locations of Hurricane Grill and Wings as long as we've known about them because we enjoy the restaurant so much, and this location is no different. There's a decent enough selection of draft beer (I usually go for the Sam seasonal or one of the Kona beers), and a wide variety of sauces for wings, chicken sandwiches, burgers, you name it. Being vegetarian, my selection is relatively limited, but I always have a great meal. One minor complaint is that their veggie burger is the Dr. Praeger's burger, which I find mushy and bland no matter how it's prepared, so I usually ask for a salad minus the chicken, and split a side of fries with my husband (the sweet potato fries are great). I always get several sauces to dip my fries in, since I don't eat wings. The sauces are the highlight of the restaurant, with about 20 sauces and rubs of different flavors and heat levels, from Asian inspired to Caribbean, to traditional wing sauces. Service each time has been attentive, quick, and friendly. No complaints there! We're always greeted and seated promptly. We've been to the Longwood location about a dozen times since they've opened and have a great experience each time.

This is above average bar faire! They have over 30 different sauces for their chicken wings! The buffalo garlic and cyclone were phenomenal! The prices were legit and the service was fast and amicable. The outdoor seating was nice! The large fans help keep things cool and the string lights add some ambiance! My favorite thing by far was the BLUE CHEESE AND JALAPEÑO QUESO DIP! It is served with their house made kettle chips! It's the perfect combination of spice and savory! After my first visit, I was back within a week! This establishment is on its way to being one of my regulars! This place is definitely worth the stop!
