Healthy Meal suggestions for Texas Roadhouse

This is an all around great restaurant. The servers were great, the food was great, and there was even a woman making balloon animals. I had the filet medallions (which I would suggest over the new York strip) and they were the most tender cuts of meat that I've had. The fries also had fantastic seasoning and all the other sides I tried were to die for. If you want prime rib, get there early. They usually run out around six. Other than that, I was thoroughly pleased

The worst dinning experience . Call ahead seating is a scam- called for party of 10 , 40 minutes prior to arrival waited 40 minutes for table anyway. Stuffed our party of ten In a table for six Too many other choices in the area. Hostesses are young kids and need training.

So this was one of my favorite places to eat, but after tonight's visit I will most likely not be back! When we received our rolls they were white and doughy under cooked. They replaced them with new ones which were a little better. I would rather be told it's going to take a minute to bake more than be served dough balls. The cactus blossom was so over cooked it was dry and a lot of the onions were dried up. I ordered he boneless wings and they tasted like frozen chicken nuggets stuck in the microwave and then left under the heat lamp for an hour. The sauce was all dried up on them. I had to cover them in blue cheese just to eat them. The ribs we got were super dried out also. Meat crumbled when you touched them. Very disappointed as this used to be my favorite steak house! Guess I'll be looking for a new one!

My kids have a love affair with Texas Roadhouse. Yesterday when we were getting to Clermont after a 18 hour road trip.... The kids saw this restaurant and the hoopin' n hollering started. Seriously.... I coulda driven to Kenosha and getting the same response from my crew!!! Anyway. First night dinner plans, of course we ended up here. The bread and butter hey give you when you sit down is the best! It is AWSOME... It is stupendously fantastic. We all agree. We love the bread. The onion flower appitizer. The bottomless drinks. The Cesar salad. The chicken, shrimp, or steak. The mashed potatoes with (special order) of country gravy. All is fantastic. The ONLY problem is we don't have huge appetites. We are all HWP and just can't eat all the food. We need bigger tummy's. No room for desert. Never room for desert. Last is the service. OVER the top!!! Way great. Our server seriously was absolutely the best I've seen in a long time. She rocked. She earned a hefty tip and was rewarded!!! Loved the service. Bottom line, is I don't argue with the kids, because I love it too!!!

AMAZING END TO MY VACATION. I've been to this Texas Roadhouse 1 time before (last year) and I promised to come back because of how good it was and tonight was even better than the last. The steaks are cooked to perfection the bbq chicken is amazing and unmatched. Me and my girlfriend came for a last dinner before we hit the road to go back to west palm beach thank god we did. The place is always packed we had a short wait though, 10 mins and we were being seated. The whole staff is very friendly and greet you with smiles but our service was the best ever. Me and my girlfriend are both servers so it's alil harder to please us at times because we know what good service is and we definitely tip accordingly. But my guy Matteo went above and beyond to make sure we were pleased with our food and that we were treated like family. The best service I've had in awhile and I will definitely keep coming back and telling everyone about it. Thank you to the Texas Roadhouse family in Kissimmee you all are great and to anyone who reads this EAT THE STEAK AND ASK FOR MATTEO!

I have the say the service was good and it was packed how ever the food on the other hand sucks big time I order a steak with mashed potatoes with corn I have to say it was covered in mushrooms and onions. I know we have one here in Lakeland and I tired it but the food does not stick out in anyway just other Steak roadhouse I have to say the next day was not feeling well at all never again. I would say try Manny's in Haines City every time I eat there it is always good. I saw other post about the quality of the steak they are horrible cuts of meat and poor quality meat for the price.

This is my boyfriend and I's favorite place to get a steak! They have delicious rolls that are served with cinnamon butter (my boyfriend loves it but I opt for normal butter) and solid appetizers, our favorite being the Combo. The steaks are always cooked perfectly and melt in your mouth. Whatever they season their steaks with is absolutely delicious and honestly makes the meal. I do not eat sweet potatoes but every time I go everyone rants and raves about the loaded sweet potatoes and it looks and smells outstanding. I always opt for the veggies and baked potato which are both always cooked just the way I like them. The staffs shirts boast that they love their jobs, and I actually believe it. I have never had a bad experience with a server and the fact I have never had an issue, to me, speaks volumes!

Good service, but the food quality is horrible. We both left that place feeling horrible to our stomach. The place was not that clean either. It's just another "roadhouse" with poor quality food.

So the good part is lots of food and big drinks, but it's quantity over quality and salt over flavor. Ribs were fall off the bone but way too salty. Steak was good, very tender, probably the best meal at the table. Fries and mashed weren't bad, baked could have used a few more minutes in the oven and half the salt. Fun atmosphere but loud. Balloon women was fun and good at her job. Not a bad $$ meal but 4 stars is way too generous, it makes you realize it's not just the reviews but who's reviewing the place and what their expectations are going in.

Food is not that great. I love Texas Roadhouse in Texas. The food is amazing but this place was very different. Staff was great but just about everything in the menu was off. The bread is not as soft and seemed burned. The chicken fried sirloin steak was too salty and the gravy tasted a bit sweet. This is not a good combination. The roadkill was burned and the burger was overlooked. Maybe they just had a terrible chef. I was surprised how everything was messed up. We have been to other Texas Roadhouse restaurants in Texas and they were superb.

I was super excited to find this location in Orlando. It doesn't show up in the Yelp search. We admittedly on our way to Miller Ale House, but the place was slammed. When I called Texas Roadhouse to use their call ahead service the wait was 15 min. Score! My friends have never eaten at a Texas Roadhouse before, but I have. I'm happy to see that the quality is the same from restaurant to restaurant. We were sat right away and the server came over right away and explained their story. We loved their Legendary Margaritas and all the food. It came out in perfect timing. We even witnessed their funny Happy birthday celebrations of fellow guest around us. Overall, we had a awesome time. The prices were fantastic for all the food we got. We'll definitely be back with more next time! Thanks!

I was dying for eat a good steak when I order they bring something else I wait like for easy 30 minute for nothing my wide done and I didn't have my food right. Poor poor service. And when I see the Other table happen the same. This is a shame. Never again.

First time here and I must say I liked it. Enjoyed the peanuts while I was waiting for my table for like a few minutes. Had the 20oz bone in ribeye, it was delicious and tender. I had a bone in ribeye in Las Vegas in a high end place and I must say this place was way better than that place hands done.

Had dinner here tonight. Great atmosphere and all of the staff we encountered were very polite and accommodating. We had a crying baby with us, so as soon as our food came out we had to ask for boxes and take it to-go. Food was delicious! I would eat here again.

After an unsatisfactory experience at a local steak place we came here for dinner. The service and the food were great! Whenever I go to TX Roadhouse I make the mistake of filling up on bread. It is so good. I love the steaks and the catfish. I ordered a small Ribeye with a piece of catfish. It was excellent. The corn was just ok but the green beans were delicious. They were southern cooked with bacon. Full of flavor.

Great service! Leah was our terrific server. Friendly but non-intrusive, she handled my special requests without missing a beat and checked back with my husband and I often enough that we never felt neglected or wanting for anything. Our salads were great -- very fresh and made exactly as requested. Leah told us the restaurant makes all its dressings from fresh ingredients. Everything else on the menu is reportedly made to order, as well, a fact we very much appreciate. After all, if a meal is going to be poured out of a Sysco bag we'd be far better off eating at home! The baked sweet potatoes can't be beat; they were baked perfectly and served piping hot. Our entrees were hot, as well, and served with gravy on the side as requested. The downside for our meals was the country fried chicken, which couldn't taste anything like chicken because it was pounded way too thinly in order to make it appear huge on the plate. None of us, Leah included, could identify the odd flavor that predominates the flour mixture coating. I didn't care for that at all and thus won't be ordering country fried chicken again. One or two bites of an entree is not very satisfying. If that entree had been prepared well the star rating for this review would have been higher. There was still plenty enough for me to eat with the caesar salad and sweet potato, enough to bring home most of the latter, in fact. (Hubby will probably eat the leftover country fried chicken tomorrow.) And of course there were those luscious fresh baked dinner rolls with cinnamon butter. It was just the entree that was a big disappointment. It seems the cooks are focused more on an impressive presentation rather than a palatable meal. Overall, this new Texas Roadhouse does a fairly good job. We also enjoyed the line dancing done in the aisles by the serving staff.

Service, Service, Service!!! You Guys Killed It!!! Or at least our waitress Bethany did. Our group of 5 walked in around 9pm for dinner after a long day of Wet n' Wild. We thought we had to wait seeing a huge group waiting but was seated almost immediately. My fresh strawberry lemonade was fantastic. I love it when they puree the strawberries. We had fresh bread, which came with this whipped cream cinnamon spread. Sooo good. I ordered a sirloin steak cooked medium rare with broccoli and mash potatoes. The food came out in about 10 minutes and we couldn't wait to dig in. Here comes the catch: my steak was cooked medium...*gasp...so I ask the waitress if she may have misheard me ordering a medium rare steak. She heads over to the kitchen and returns about 2 minutes later and said my steak was indeed not cooked medium rare and offered to cook me a new one. About 10 minutes later, the manager brings out my new steak to make sure it's just right this time...and thank goodness I was able to see red on the inside! My cousin ordered the Ribeye cooked medium and it came out medium-rare but was delicious. BTW: All their steak are hand cut in the restaurant. And their steak sauce that is only manufactured for their restaurants is Amazing! Soo much better than A-1!! Great Service Rules!!! Along with Great Food and Great Strawberry Lemonade = HAPPY ME :)

If you go here I would say stick to a steak or ribs. The tips were marinated way too long and the marinade clearly has too much vinegar when bit into the tips. Also I think the marinade had too much soy sauce along with the vinegar to make the whole meal very salty. I did however enjoy my meal a few nights before with the Killer ribs and a baked potato. I also love the fact that you can get a tall 22oz beer of Blue Moon for 5.50!

Everything about this meal was a disaster. It started with the appetizer, we ordered the potato skins and they were burnt, dry and absolutely tasteless. We did not complain because we had a coupon for a free appetizer, besides who complains about free food. Then the salad came the lettuce was frozen and the dressing had no taste. Then came the steak and it was the worst steak I ever tasted. I ordered the prime rib and the meat was chewy and had absolutely no seasoning. I ordered my steak medium and it came out well done. My companion ordered the chicken critter salad which came with frozen eggs and soggy tomatoes. The chicken was also burnt and flavorless. The server was nice and so was the manager they offered to exchange the meals for something else but at that point I lost my appetite. They did adjust the bill so we did not have to pay for the entrees only the drinks but I will never again dine in this place.

Having been to this restaurant previously I was expecting the same standard of food and service however I was sadly mistaken!!!! The one star was to acknowledge the food which was delicious although served rather hastily (as it was near closing time which they forgot to mention this while seating us) and also came in gigantic portions...!!! I can't comment on the desert menu as we weren't offered as Shelley didn't waste time in collecting the plates and informing us she would bring our check (I can only assume she wanted home) although I will say again, thankfully the chef wasn't quite as ignorant and obviously paid attention to detail with the delicious meal regardless of closing time! I did comment to Shelley that I'd far rather she had refused us a seat than be so rude as to grab the plates to which I believe she held her hands in the air.. The waitress has to be one of the most unprofessional rude servers I have ever had the misfortune to encounter hence the reason for taking the time to write a post and warn others.. If you want to eat here please do make sure to ask the staff before taking a seat if it's near closing time otherwise your in for the worst service ever....

I Will Not go back! First off our rolls were dough balls, way undercooked. The cactus blossom was overcooked, buffalo wings were dry and tasted like microwave cooked, and the ribs crumbled apart like bacon bits. I left feeling greasy and ill . Don't waste your money...

Love this place!! Beef tips are awesome. Critter salad... awesome. The pickle chips were a little too well done for my taste. Friendly staff, waitress brought another drink without me having to ask. And the yeast buns, heaven!!!!

What a great experience and meal! Our waiter, Miltonius (supposedly that was his real name), was awesome. Very attentive and our food was awesome. We both order the sirloin steak with ribs combo along with a loaded baked potato... We didn't expect much when going in but our meal was sooooo good that it put us in a comatose afterwards... I can't recommend this place or the waiter enough.. Worth every penny spent

Had a great meal here. We stayed on Disney property this trip and we wanted to get away from the Disney food and get something in the area for dinner. Took about 20 minutes to get seated on a busy night. Our server (I think her name was Danny) was phenomenal! One of our appetizers came out wrong, so she told us to keep that one and brought out a correct new one. The price was a refreshing amount, especially since I was paying ripoff prices at Disney the whole week. I made sure to leave a little something more for Danny.

When I go to a chain steakhouse, I normally go to the same one every time. But hubby wanted to try this place. The rolls with the cinnamon butter were sooo good! I may or may not have been eating the cinnamon butter with my finger after I was done with the roll. :) We ordered the Cactus Blossom for an appetizer. Ehh...Not my favorite. I'll take my normal place's version over this one. The batter tasted like chicken fingers. For my entrée, I ordered a Dallas fillet with Caesar salad and loaded baked potato. The Caesar salad was pretty good. As was the fillet. I always order medium rare. And I would rather my steak more on the rare side than medium. The steak was cooked perfectly. The baked potato was good too, but I think it's silly that its extra to make it loaded. The service was great. Our waitress was very attentive and sweet. But I think I'll stick to my normal place.

I feel bad giving this review since I love the food at this place. We've been here probably 6 or so times in the last 6 months and this visit was disappointing. However, there are still some good things about it. Pros - Good food with good portions at a good price. The bread they serve is delicious as well as the free peanuts as you wait. You can do call ahead seating as early as an hour before you plan to arrive. Cons - Service is inconsistent at best. Tonight was the worst we've experienced in a while. Our server, Idashli (spelling?), was more interested in her friends sitting at another table in our area. She spent more time sitting in the booth with them than actually working. Our entrees came out before our salads did and she didn't seem to notice until we asked for our salads. Two other servers also seemed more interested in the other table with the friends. I will be adding a picture of our server sitting and socializing while on the job. Please Texas Roadhouse, don't make us take you off our places we regularly eat at!

Great steaks, sides and not to mention rolls! The words I'd associate with this place are amazing, fresh, delicious, early bird specials are budget friendly and worth the wait. I say worth the wait because there's always a wait. During high tourist season it can be up to an hour wait.

Great atmosphere and good food! We took a party of 9 here and the staff was terrific. Highly recommend it and would definitely return. We tried a variety of dishes and every one was good. Just don't be fooled by the onion appetizer its not the same as Outback

Fellow yelpers, It's clear to see that this restaurant franchise is located in the heart of a tourist location just a couple miles west of Disney world. This location Is very busy every night. I'm pretty surprised to see the high rating for this place. Because the quality of food is very poor to the point that is is terribly noticeable. The food presentation and plating is sloppy. My group didn't enjoy anything both times we dined here. In fact the service wasn't great either. The servers were running around playing tag, even tripping over people and falling onto tables. There were many customers complaint about this and I could see lots of tables sending items back. I do not recommend this place for a quality steak or anything quality of that nature. I wouldn't eat here if it was completely free. Only because you can taste poor quality. Food is served just like slop on a plate. Check it out for yourself.

The food is usually good but they lost a customer for poor customer service. I came in today and was going to sit down and order a drink and appetizer while I waited for the other person who was about 5 to 10 minutes away. They refused to sit me until the other person arrived. There were numerous empty booths available that I could see and not another soul waiting. That the hell is that? I left and took my business to longhorns. I will contact the manager and make sure they know of my disapproval.

Quite impressive to say the least. Started off with a cactus blossom. It was pretty great and suitable for a table of eight. Then I ordered a 16oz medium-well prime rib with loaded fries and Caesar salad. Caesar salad was good. The prime rib steak was extremely tender, cut thru like butter. It came pretty quick. Overall, great value for what I paid! Service was great. Waitor came back frequently to check on and was very pleasant.

Great food and service. My husband and I had our 4 young kids with us after a long day at the water park. Dan was our server and he was very patient and quick!! The food came out perfect and delicious. I got the smothered chicken with the loaded mashed potatoes!! After dinner we rushed out and my husband left his check card. Dan chased us down in the parking lot to return it!! I would return for the great service alone!!

We were seated quickly and the service was great. I ordered the Portobello mushroom chicken and it was fabulous. The chicken was moist and surprisingly there were a lot of mushrooms. The baked sweet potato is AMAZING! My husband ordered the country fried chicken. The serving was big. The chicken literally covered most of the plate. Everything we had was delicious except the steamed vegetables. I expected some type of seasoning and while they were cooked perfectly, they were a little bland. Because this location is in the Disney area, expect a wait, we just got lucky because it was storming.

The Texas Roadhouse is one of my favorite restaurants to eat at. Last night, my sons took me here for a Mother's Day dinner. While I know this is by nature, a busy night, last night was not at all as busy as I had expected. Even so, once seated one would get the feeling they were swamped. Many employees running around , rushing to get everyone taken care of. Our server was very nice and seemed to do his best; but he also appeared to be a recent addition to the staff, having to remind him several times about things we had requested. They offered several drink specials, but again, once our order was in it took an unusually long time to get to our table. The rolls and butter were kept up with well; and once we were served, the food was delicious! The steaks we ordered; although very tasty, were not cooked as ordered and condiments that were ordered had to be requested again. Overall, we will return to this location; but if you opt to dine here, you should understand that things don't always go perfect. However, I would say from my experience, of numerous visits here, your chances of getting a great meal here, are on average, in the high range.

I generally love Texas Roadhouse. I was so excited to learn there was one close to home. So Saturday night we decided to partake in a ribeye. The food was amazing. Everything was going great until my four year old had to go to the bathroom. She does her business and we go to wash our hands, no soap came out, but a roach did come out from behind the soap dispenser. I grabbed my daughter's hand and told my husband at the table we would meet him outside. If I wasn't done with my food before that, I was then.

The food was great, they had an early bird special so we saved few bucks, the service was great. The only down side was they brought our appetizers and our food about a minute apart. Great atmosphere and drink specials too! Consistent Texas Roadhouse experience :) Enjoyed it.

This was the first time my husband and I had gone to Texas Roadhouse. We've always felt it was too expensive (and still feel that way) but this night we were really craving a steak and there was nothing else near by so we gave it a try. We had been on the road for many hours at this point and was looking for a nice steakhouse to relax and watch some college football. We both ordered the Cowboy Sirloin from the recommendation of our server Brandon. I had originally asked for my steak to be cooked medium but Brandon talked me into medium well. The steak was too dry and I regretted going against my best judgement. We also had baked potatoes and salad. The potatoes tasted under cooked. The salad dressing was very good but it should say on the menu that a garden salad has eggs in it. My husband had to pick his out. For the price of our meal, it was not worth it. The food tasted average at best. I really wish we had continued up the road to somewhere else. NOW, here's my absolutely biggest complaint of the night, the dancing, shouting and singing servers!! Has to be the most annoying thing ever. This happened 4 times during the hour we were there. And one of the times was right next to our table bringing out a damn saddle for a girl to sit on with her butt right next to me. I was already disappointed with the meal then all this crap with the servers just topped off the night. So I guess I should be thanking Texas Roadhouse for making me not to want to ever come here again and waste so much money.

I drive by this place every time I come to the Kissimmee area. Glad I finally decided to try it out. The service was great. Being a group of 6 I was honestly surprised with how quick everything came out. We had not complaints. All of are steaks were cooked to perfection and the sides were huge! The sweet baked potato is must, comes with a huge serving of marshmallows on top! I strongly suggest this place for any steak lover. The prices compete with other top chain resturants.

alright! where to start... today was opening day and i had to go right after work (i was off at 9pm). the place was packed and as with any opening day, ALL staff was there, making it almost one server per one table who came by every 2 min, asking if we needed anything. i was on the cell phone when i walked in and had to get off right away since it was painfully loud in there. but - what else to expect from a rootin' tootin' road house. country music was playing, every hour on the hour most daring servers came together to do a little line dancing to the amusement of us guests. seating is a little crammed in there, although i was happily surprised that, sitting in a booth at my weight, didn't mean i have to suck it in at all times. the seater took the basket with rolls and butter (yummy cinnamon butter) right off the counter as she was seating us. buckets of peanuts were on the table already, so if you're a cheap date, just order an appetizer to share and otherwise fill up on rolls and peanuts. if you are a meat lover like us, you kinda get a little too excited about the menu. we ordered fried pickled to start...awesome. my hubby had a 20ou bone-in rib eye and i had the half slab of ribs. the food came out in a timely manor, however the appetizer came a little late and -to be over critical - the main entree came a little too quickly after the pickles. my husband's steak was the second best he has ever had (after the Del Monico's). he called it well aged and seasoned and cooked just right for ordering it rare. nice and buttery and melt-in-your-mouth delicious. my ribs on the other hand were good but not great. well sauces and certainly fell off the bone however for my taste a bit too dry. all in all our server was a cute little british lady that put a lot of spunk in her job. other then that, i don't like places that put "i heart my job" on the back of their t-shirts. if you have to say it, then it's not true. also if someone is having a bad day, then it's just a negative conversation starter. i live right around the corner and will be back often since i love steak. it' a little pricey though and i wish i could do without all the rootin' tootin' - ess, since im not a little bit country...i'm a little bit rock'n'roll....

Great food great atmosphere. Is it a little loud? Yes but this is the persona of this chain. If you want quiet you will likely need to find a small French bistro somewhere. The servers are super friendly, fast and efficient. The food came as ordered and fast. Best part was it tasted OUTSTANDING. If I had one complaint it would be the amount of salt added to all of the food.

Typical for this franchise. Grilled chicken breast was good and the portion large enough to require a doggie bag. One steak ordered medium came in over cooked and dried out. Had to send it back. Next one came cooked just right.

The place was slammed, 45 minute wait, but it was worth it! Friendly and family atmosphere, a big smile as you walked thru the doors. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful. I had the steak and ribs. My steak was cooked as ordered. And the ribs came right off the bones as advertised and what can I say about the bread. Highly recommended.

I had never been to this place and i have to say that i was pleasantly surprised. Our server was a young girl name Ariana, she was not only a great server but she was adorable, super nice, and made sure that my glass of ice tea was full, and that everything was fine with the food. I ordered the sirloin steak with grilled shrimp and i have to say that the it was the best seasoned steak i have ever had in a restaurant. No need for any sauces or gravies. It was cooked to perfection with onions and mushrooms.it was juicy and delicious. I wish we had one of these in Miami. Would definitely go back.

This was our 2nd visit to this location. We returned because our first visit went well. Not so good this time, had our 1st visit been as bad we would not have returned and they would have only gotten 1 star. To start the service was slow and not good. Chili was burnt with bits of burnt meat on bowl along with the scrapings from the pot it was in. Steaks had no seasoning at all, as a matter of fact their was no seasoning on anything. My wife's steak was cooked properly but mine was overdone and tough. The sautéed mushrooms and onions weren't good either. Mushrooms burnt and onions undercooked The manager did take $5.00 off the meal for the chili but that was it. They gave a free appetizer to first time customers, but nothing if you said you had been their before. Overall a bad dinner. Won't be back. Feel they should only get one star but as stated previously we had a good dining experience on our last visit.

The yeast rolls are yeast-y! The steaks were okay. Not great. The 192 corridor is chock-full of chain steakhouses, and unfortunately, this place didn't stand out at all. Everything was also VERY salty.

  • Sal A.

Guess I'll be looking for a new one!

alright! where to start... today was opening day and i had to go right after work (i was off at 9pm). the place was packed and as with any opening day, ALL staff was there, making it almost one server per one table who came by every 2 min, asking if we needed anything. i was on the cell phone when i walked in and had to get off right away since it was painfully loud in there. but - what else to expect from a rootin' tootin' road house. country music was playing, every hour on the hour most daring servers came together to do a little line dancing to the amusement of us guests. seating is a little crammed in there, although i was happily surprised that, sitting in a booth at my weight, didn't mean i have to suck it in at all times. the seater took the basket with rolls and butter (yummy cinnamon butter) right off the counter as she was seating us. buckets of peanuts were on the table already, so if you're a cheap date, just order an appetizer to share and otherwise fill up on rolls and peanuts. if you are a meat lover like us, you kinda get a little too excited about the menu. we ordered fried pickled to start...awesome. my hubby had a 20ou bone-in rib eye and i had the half slab of ribs. the food came out in a timely manor, however the appetizer came a little late and -to be over critical - the main entree came a little too quickly after the pickles. my husband's steak was the second best he has ever had (after the Del Monico's). he called it well aged and seasoned and cooked just right for ordering it rare. nice and buttery and melt-in-your-mouth delicious. my ribs on the other hand were good but not great. well sauces and certainly fell off the bone however for my taste a bit too dry. all in all our server was a cute little british lady that put a lot of spunk in her job. other then that, i don't like places that put "i heart my job" on the back of their t-shirts. if you have to say it, then it's not true. also if someone is having a bad day, then it's just a negative conversation starter. i live right around the corner and will be back often since i love steak. it' a little pricey though and i wish i could do without all the rootin' tootin' - ess, since im not a little bit country...i'm a little bit rock'n'roll....

  • C.L. R.

Typical for this franchise. Grilled chicken breast was good and the portion large enough to require a doggie bag. One steak ordered medium came in over cooked and dried out. Had to send it back. Next one came cooked just right.

We don't usually like these type of places, but we wanted to see what the fuss was about because it always looked crowded. The fresh baked bread with honey butter was so good that I wish I had a piece right now here in D.C. I haven't tasted bread that good in a long time! DH ordered the $26 steak special, I had the barbeque pork sandwich, and son had mac and cheese. It was a lot of food that DH was the only one who finished his meal. With 20% tip it set us back $72 so it ain't that cheap. Plus we gave a $3 breast cancer donation and a $2 tip to the balloon guy, but all in all a fun place. You really can't eat like this every day or you'll have a heart attack. The next 2 nights of our vacation, we just ate at Panera because I was literally sick of food because of the overabundance of food from here.

This place was a pleasant surprise. I ordered the rib dinner and Whoo Wee, it was delicious. They are as good as advertised! The ribs were Fall off the bone good with lots of flavor. Food was average. Staff was ok. It was my birthday n my waitress blew my celebration off. I was very disappointed with the food n my waitress. On the other side of the restaurant the staff was singing n dancing to looked like a how down dance it looked fun. But was disappointed I couldn't have that for my birthday celebration.

This has longtime been our favorite of all the steakhouse chain restaurants. For the longest time we had to travel pretty far to get to our nearest location. Thank goodness they built one here in Kissimmee. We have been here a handful of times since it opened and had overall positive experiences, but this last visit was perfect. Our server (sorry I forgot her name) was extremely nice and attentive, and the steak we ordered (rib eye with side of ribs) was out of this world. It was as good or better than some of the steaks I've eaten at expensive high-end steakhouses. Besides the steak, my favorite thing to eat here is the loaded sweet potato...oh and their ribs are amazing too! This restaurant can get pretty busy around dinner time, but they do let you call ahead before you leave and put your name on the wait list.

I arrived for dinner at Texas Roadhouse. We sat down and had some delicious hot bread with cinnamon butter.... so good! Then we order the combo appetizer. It came with delicious rattlesnake bites, they are actually jalapeños and jack cheese, battered and lightly fried. So in other words awesome. Also with this appetizer boneless wings and potato skins. They were above average. I ordered out of the Texas Sized Combo, grilled BBQ chicken and sirloin steak. It also came with two sides, rice and fries. The steak was perfectly cooked and the chicken was tender and the BBQ sauce was sweet but not over bearing. Now for the service. I have to say it was topnotch. Our waitress was amazing and the sweetest girl. She knew the menu like no other. She was perfect, not just because she was our waitress but she was one of the bartenders. This was a great experience. This is my third time here, each time it has been better and better. Highly recommended.

We ate here while on vacation in Orlando. It was really good. The only complaint that I have is the rolls were really dry. The service was great and quick. I felt bad because our toddler made a huge mess, but the staff just laughed and really didn't have a problem with it. The food was great. The best part was that we were seated right away. I would recommend this restaurant to those vacationing in the Orlando area.

Delicious! Go later in the evening for a shorter wait time. Try the chili, its awesome and the perfect complement to anything you you order. Peanuts you can eat and throw your shells on the floor is always fun too! Service is great, food is yummy; we'll be back!

We really love Texas Road House. This location is no exception. The food was great and the service was great. I had the 20oz bone in rib eye with baked potatoe and sautéed mushrooms. Was really great. Wife had the 10oz prime rib. It was cooked perfectly and tasted fantastic. We will return.

Loved this place! Boyfriend and I ended up here looking for good steak on our recent trip to Orlando. We were very pleased. I must admit I had very low expectations due to the fact that it was a chain steak house. Boy was I surprised. The hostess was very friendly, and after telling us it would be about 15-25 minutes she directed us to a comfy waiting area where you can drop peanut shells on the ground! We were seated in less than 7 minutes. Our server Jacquie was attentive without being a stalker. Our drinks were refilled without us even noticing. Service was quick and the steak was amazing. Cooked perfectly and no need for extra seasoning. And the bread!! Holy crow was it good. Our ill came to under $50 without tip which I thought to be very reasonable. Can't wait to try ours back in NY! We will visit again on our next trip to Orlando.

Is it tourists don't care what they shovel in their mouths the reason for all the positive reviews? The only saving grace and the reason this wasn't a one star review was our server. She was absolutely fantastic, friendly, paid special attention to the kids, and never let the drinks run out. The food was pretty awful. I ordered the prime rib and it was cooked in some sort of caramel goop or something, never had anything so bad. I've had the prime rib at our local T.R. and it is usually all right, so the fact that it is a chain is no excuse. Your argument that you should order steak at a steak restaurant would hold water if the steaks were any good, and they were a fatty mess. We had a large party and dropped over $300 for cardboard food where the highlight was the drinks and rolls. Bleck.

Thanks!

We also enjoyed the line dancing done in the aisles by the serving staff.

alright! where to start... today was opening day and i had to go right after work (i was off at 9pm). the place was packed and as with any opening day, ALL staff was there, making it almost one server per one table who came by every 2 min, asking if we needed anything. i was on the cell phone when i walked in and had to get off right away since it was painfully loud in there. but - what else to expect from a rootin' tootin' road house. country music was playing, every hour on the hour most daring servers came together to do a little line dancing to the amusement of us guests. seating is a little crammed in there, although i was happily surprised that, sitting in a booth at my weight, didn't mean i have to suck it in at all times. the seater took the basket with rolls and butter (yummy cinnamon butter) right off the counter as she was seating us. buckets of peanuts were on the table already, so if you're a cheap date, just order an appetizer to share and otherwise fill up on rolls and peanuts. if you are a meat lover like us, you kinda get a little too excited about the menu. we ordered fried pickled to start...awesome. my hubby had a 20ou bone-in rib eye and i had the half slab of ribs. the food came out in a timely manor, however the appetizer came a little late and -to be over critical - the main entree came a little too quickly after the pickles. my husband's steak was the second best he has ever had (after the Del Monico's). he called it well aged and seasoned and cooked just right for ordering it rare. nice and buttery and melt-in-your-mouth delicious. my ribs on the other hand were good but not great. well sauces and certainly fell off the bone however for my taste a bit too dry. all in all our server was a cute little british lady that put a lot of spunk in her job. other then that, i don't like places that put "i heart my job" on the back of their t-shirts. if you have to say it, then it's not true. also if someone is having a bad day, then it's just a negative conversation starter. i live right around the corner and will be back often since i love steak. it' a little pricey though and i wish i could do without all the rootin' tootin' - ess, since im not a little bit country...i'm a little bit rock'n'roll....

Service was excellent. The chilli was out if this world, and of course the loaded sweet potato is a must try! Caramelized marshmallows on top?! Saddle up!

Bleck.

Thanks!

Service was excellent. The chilli was out if this world, and of course the loaded sweet potato is a must try! Caramelized marshmallows on top?! Saddle up!

Bleck.
