Based on what I've read here and my own personal experience I now know why this Perkin's has such bad reviews. The day I went the waitress was a little clueless but not bad overall. Both the fork and knife were obviously dirty and there were flies inside that were very annoying. At this point I should have left but I was new to the area and didn't know where else to go. Definitely not the best Perkins I've ever been to. The ones in PA area a while lot better. Considering it's here in Orlando I expected better service and cleanliness!!

There was no hostess and the manager Bill was behind the counter, he ignored us. After two seperate guests came and paid and left he finally seated us. We sat almost 15 minutes before a waitress came over and very rudely asked what we would like to drink. Another 10 minutes to get our drinks. After our orders were placed we waited 45 minutes! My son was starting to cry and the waitress very rudely walks by and says your food is coming in one minute. 15 minutes later we all got cold food! When we went to pay I showed the manager that somehow they added a 11.95 charge for two soups/salads! We didn't order those! They need new staff there!

The food was awesome as usual even though the wouldn't change some things that every other Perkins has always done for me, but the service was slow. We got there at 7 pm and it wasn't busy when we got there but then they got slammed and our waitress got five tables at once and as a result got behind. I had the turkey and hubby had the meatloaf and said it was better than his moms. Which is saying a lot!! Sorry mom! It was still worth the time to eat it but it took an hour and a half total for us to order and eat and even wait to pay.

I visited this Perkins twice in one week and had an excellent experience both times. I am from out of town but come from an area with a Perkins that I go to often, so I was familiar with the menu already. This review is more about the fact that we received great service both times we went there. The first time was at breakfast, and my husband and I ordered a muffin and 3 potato pancakes to split. The waitress and the kitchen literally cut the muffin in half and served them on separate plates, then did the same with our pancakes. I thought it was very nice since people often have an attitude about people sharing food. Instead, they were sweet about it and made sharing easy. Of note, we were served very quickly. The second time we went was also great. We got our food fast again, and I needed to box up my food this time. The waitress was really great and brought me several Dixie cup containers of my favorite dipping sauces to go. The food was really good, we got it really fast, and the servers were very friendly. I couldn't have asked for more. I noticed some negative reviews in the past, mostly pertaining to slow or poor service. In my two experiences with different waitresses at different times of the day, I had great service. They must have got the message!

Ask for Cheryl she's great. They also have someone make the kids balloons no charge just ask for tip. There was no wait time and everyone is really polite

Good food and mediocre service. That's all you can ask of a diner. If I didn't know any better, I'd say this was a Denny's. However, the servings are huge for what you're paying. Some platters are good enough to share. We tried their pumpkin pancakes, which were pretty tasty once you cleaned off the mound of cinnamon. They offer several healthier options for breakfast, which was surprising how expansive it was. In general, this place is good for dining with large groups traveling through.

Before I rip this place a new one, let me first state that this is a generous two star review. I started off my party of four with a round of ice waters cause we party hard and there's no way a new restaurant can mess that up, right? Wrong. Praying to God the food wouldn't reflect the taste of the slumdog waters was a mistake because not even God could sugar coat the blandness out of the food. So why the two stars? Our stoned foreign waiter made me laugh and he brought my daughter two free cookies. The funnier part was watching my 6 year old girl literally spit the cookie out. Let that sink in...a 6 year old spit out a cookie. And I thought I'd seen it all, folks. Two stars for the laughs. Goodnight.

I spent 15 minutes placing my to-go order on the phone because the female on call had no idea what she was doing. When I went to pick it up, they had lost my order. I had to reorder the food. Finally, half an hour later when they gave me my salad, I found ONLY lettuce in it - nothing else! Worst service ever! If there were 0 stars I would give them that!

Perkins restaurant 5170 irlo Bronson memorial hwy, Kissimmee Florida. The service was terrible the manager Bill Waxman was horrible it was rude to the staff didn't take orders all he did was sit while the two waitresses ran the restaurant They were totally overwhelmed. The manager didn't lift a finger, yet to his friends can take special orders from them. The waitresses were hard workers food tasted good. However it did not come out of the timely manner. #perkins #Kissimmee #florida

Our waitress Katie was great, the food was tasty, seating area was well kept. Great French Toast!! Price was great, we spent $50 for 4 adults and everyone was full.

Avoid this restaurant at all cost if you don't tolerate poor service. Our server Shelton, was condescending, rude, and inappropriately complaining about his workload as an excuse not to take the remaining drink orders. The manager is unenthusiastic, uncaring and unapologetic, in all but lip service. I can only imagine that the gold star on Shelton's name tag represents the volume of complaints against him.

Welcome to Perkins! Get the pancakes. Blueberry pancakes to be exact. Hold the sugar and whipped cream, unless empty calories on top of empty calories is your thing- then go fer it! If you choose you hold the whip and sugar, you will probably get a dirty look from your waitress as she jokingly tells you "hold the whipped cream? Hm, that's the best part!" chuckle, chuckle. NO. She's really looking at you with her "you-must-be-from-New-York-you- wanna-be-skinny-beotch" face. Take it as a complement and chuckle along. Skip the coffee; it tastes like toilet water. I don't know how dirty toilet water really tastes like but if I could imagine and conjure up a taste-- it would be Perkins coffee. Seriously. Service is actually good so be sure to not be cheap to your waitress/waiter. And if she takes out the disgusting coffee from your bill-- well, I guess it's okay to be extra nice.... or not. The place is also a bakery so they REALLY urge you to buy their baked goods. EHHHH. Once you look over the room-- you'll realize that the problem with this neck of the woods is that apparently TOO many people take advantage of their "FINISH YOUR MEAL DEAL" consisting of a slice of pie and coffee for $3.99. EH. Decline the offer if you love yourself. Decline the offer at the cashier once again.

Upon entering we were told we would wait 15-20 minutes. After 45 minutes and ride remarks from the owner we were finally seated. We then ordered and waited an hour and a half for our food. When we would politely ask for help or where our food was, waitresses and the owner answered with snotty rude remarks like we weren't important. I noticed other guests being treated the same way. If you come to the Orlando area and want breakfast, go to the iHop up the road. Do not come to this restaurant if you want good food and to be treated well.

The food was very good and our waitress good however she was overwhelmed and tried her best while some tall guy with a tie on stood watching them run around (looks like a lazy manager). He Talked to elderly friends for at least 30 minutes and didn't help out while food was delivered to the tables cold and late. I will not be returning to this place because the manager is horrible. Keep up the good work hard working staff and cooks. I feel bad that you have to work with a manager like that.

We dined here a week ago in the late afternoon when the restaurant was pretty quiet. One person in my party accidentally left her wallet on the table when we left. When we went back the restaurant the next day, we got the wallet back from the manager - all the cards and ID are there, but the $500 dollars of cash is gone. Even though the restaurant did not admit it, but given there weren't any table nearby us when we were there, it is very likely an employee took the cash. It says a lot about the integrity of the restaurant, and is something we will always remember about this chain.

My family and I went here on our way back from disney. It was the first restaurant we saw. First off I parked and saw down the road people standing there. It was around 11pm. This is right by a ghetto motel 6. I had to lock my car in fear these people would break into it. The restaurant was clean. My server was very nice. The food was out quick, but the food portions were small. I ordered mozzarella sticks. They were so small. The prices are reasonable. I dont like the location at all.

Yep, it's a chain restaurant and I know people love to bitch and complain like they aren't enjoying it but it really hit the spot after being starving for most of the plane ride down to vacation with my husband's folks. I shared an appetizer sampler with my mother-in-law since we both have soft spots for delicious deep fried goodness. The deep fried green beans...amazing! Mozzarella sticks were some of the better I've had recently. And you really can't go wrong with chicken strips and mexican egg rolls...really. The cup of broccoli cheddar soup I also inhaled was some of the best I've had...thick and creamy with real cheddar flavor. Celeste and Eric both had sandwiches and really liked them. Even the side salad was pretty good. The service was great and the waitress kept my diet coke full.

The food was great. The service was slow. The waitresses were nice, but don't ask for directions. They are all turned around. :) This place was good. It just took forever. I'm not sure if the other locations are the same. We were in Orlando for our Disney vacay and they have quite a few of these Perkins in the area. This one happened to be closes to our hotel. We knew that eating here was an hour and a half ordeal, easily. Half the time there were only two employees in the whole restaraunt. One would serve and the other would cook and hostess. Getting seated took ten minutes we were the only ones waiting in line. Nevertheless, the choice of food was aplenty and the prices were reasonable. If anything it gave us a much needed break from IHOP.

While on vacation we decided to stop by this restaurant as it was close to our hotel. This place has some pretty damn good food. Everything on the menu looked good. I had the steak and eggs w/hash browns and wheat toast. The steak was awesome, cooked to medium...perfectly. Eggs were sunny side up and decent. Hashbrowns not over cooked and wheat toast was fresh. The place is clean and fairly busy so you know they have good food and service. On a side note: The service in almost every restaurant we've been to in this area has had some oustanding service. Props to all the wait staff for being polite, courteous, and professional. They seem to go out of your way to satisfy your needs. If only this same attitude was in Chicago...restaurants would be much better.

Mediocre food, terrible service and a Denny's style atmosphere. The two saving graces (one for each star) are their mammoth muffins, and their menu selection. My wife and I used to eat here because it was easy and cheap, but as we explored more of Central Florida, we realized that there are about 100 ways to better spend our money, spend less, and get a better experience.

Service was extremely slow (took about 40 minutes to receive our food), food quality was good however the quantity was small for the price. They were not very busy at all which made me think WTH when it took them so long to bring my food.

5 stars? Don't get all excited. This isn't a 4 star restaurant with executive chefs, organic food, or cloth napkins. This is a Denny's in disguise if I didn't know better. It also must have been one of the few if not only place in town ready and willing to serve a group of 11 hungry Asians six of which were kids ready to rumble. We ate here every day for breakfast on our family vacation. I swear. 5 days in a row and we never got sick of it. We never had any complaints about the food except it started to feel a little like Groundhogs Day. Perkins became a buzzword for us. Hats off to waiters and waitresses who deal with the daily grind just to make a few extra dollars from tips. Perkins has the funniest and strangest waitress ever. Not a funny haha or funny hehe kind of way but funny in a sense of I will forever remember the scene she caused when she dropped all of our food she was carrying on a tray. Plates came crashing down and syrup went flying everywhere. The best part is she started screaming at my little cousin with a finger pointer right at him, "He pushed me! He pushed me!" Mind you my little cousin was not a trouble maker and his arms were no where near the waitress. She blamed her butterfingers on a 4 year old! It was just so farfetched. Ah what a hilarious moment.

Went here twice during a recent trip to Kissimmee..the food was great both times, friendly service and best of all kids eat free on Tuesday evenings. I highly recommend the turkey and dressing dinner, the omelettes and the red velvet cake pie for dessert. Yummy!

You would think that Perkins would be about the same all over the country. This one would be the exception. The food was below average for the chain and the service was terrible. We went at 7 in the evening and it was empty. You would think with 5 waitresses and only 5 tables occupied in the place that someone would have noticed when we needed something. Even getting the bill was an ordeal. If terrible service bothers you then stay away!

The food was good but the service was horrible. The waitress took forever to greet us. Then she took forever to bring us our drinks. My order was missing the accompanying fruit and my girlfriend's order was completely wrong and had to be sent back TWICE. I asked to speak with the manager and the server came back and said the the manager would take off one entree. So I said, so does that mean she's not coming because I asked to speak with her? So then the manager came. I let her know how horrible the service was. In the end the manager comped the entire check. We still left the server a tip but I will not be returning to this location. The food was good but the service was horrible, and the restaurant was too crammed together. It was like walking through an obstacle course.

Disgusting! Expect little better than the worst hospital cafeteria food you've had. Salty, pale and old. I was put-off by the smell of the place... stale sweat and mold... but pressed-on because my 5 year old was exhausted and hungry. Wait service was virtually absent. There was a 20 minute wait, despite half of the dining room being open. It took the waitress another 5-8 minutes to come to our table. The food arrive after 25 minutes only after asking the manager to look into why it was taking so long. My meal had been plated so long before being served that the gravy had developed a disgusting scum. The manager again intervened and replaced my meal within moments. Viva la MSG! The interior was coming apart and I could meaningful see problems with the years of accumulated grime. It is clear that the property is not being cleaned properly or taken care of the least bit. There is a clean Denny's within a mile of this Perkin's that has friendly service and predictable fare.
