I order from here all the time--and it is reliably yummy Chinese. Generous portions, tasty sauces, well-made rice. I wish the tofu was a little crispier, but we adore it anyway!

If you are a person of color, do not eat at this restaurant. I live in the 32218 area code and attempted to place an order using my credit card. I was told that they don't accept credit card orders from the 32218 area code because of to much credit card fraud. This restaurant according to map quest is 7 minutes away from me, so my area is their area also. I don't live in a violent neighborhood, so I am thinking that it is because of race not vicinity.

I'm a native of Oregon, so no Chinese food in jacksonville can compare. With that being said Sun Sun Garden is definitely one of the best that I've tasted so far. We usually do delivery. Everything I've tasted has been good: fried chicken, garlic chicken wings, shrimp lo mein, shrimp fried rice, spring roll, shrimp egg roll, generals chicken and any of their seafood with vegetables. Try them!

Based on the online reviews, I gave Sun Sun Garden a chance and was pleasantly blown away by their delicious food. I have a new go-to place for my Chinese food addiction! I've already been four times and I have always been highly satisfied. My food is always fresh and made to order. I'm here every week!!! #SunSunRocks!

I ordered the orange chicken combo with pork fried rice and an egg roll. It by far was the worst chinese food I've ever tasted. Simply awful !!! Good money wasted!!

Very good food. Free delivery that was fast and when they said it would arrive. Driver was very nice and friendly. They sent plenty of soy sauce, hot mustard, etc. And a hand full of fortune cookies. Will use again.

Glad to finally find another delivery option in n jax as options r slim up here. BUT I've been in the restroom all night since I ate the food. The lo mein didn't have much flavor and the pork in it I fed to my dogs. The crab ragoons were pretty good. The general tsos chicken was ok but the fried rice was gross. Not worth the calories and bathroom time

I was hesitant at first because as we were doing a drive-by, we noticed the person at the front desk was a non-Asian. Quite disconcerting. After we ordered, the person delivering the food was a non-Asian too. I was about to turn him back. Nevertheless, the food was delicious. The rice was almost perfect. Happily, we could order via the internet, without having to converse with a human being. Being from out of town and living in a hotel, we will be calling them again.

Very good Chinese, as we are fairly new here, this is the "go to" Chinese place from now on. I had fried chicken wings, they were top notch. The family had mongolian BBQ, sweet and sour chicken and house lo mein, all were full of flavor. No complaints all around, we will definitely be back!

Pass on the pork fried rice, and get the lo mein instead! They make great house special lo mein. Also good crab Rangoon and veg dishes. Nice people, good communication, good prices.

food fresh and very good-lunch prices (combos) were great! I plan to order again for lunch tomorrow! just be aware that delivery time takes about 45 mins for even basic order (we are only 3 miles away)

Greasy. Simply greasy. I'm not entire sure how rice can get greasy, but they made it happen. I ordered the beef and broccoli. It was bland. I kept having to add soy sauce to get some flavor. It didn't work all that well. My friend ordered the sweet and sour chicken-- minutes after I gave my order and still she got her food first. Maybe mine took longer? I don't know, just didn't seem right. She ate her chicken, but didn't like the rice either. The tempura on the sweet and sour chicken was HEAVY and the sauce? It was just eh. The place seemed to have a steady stream of people wanting to order and they were kept busy, so it could have been a fluke. Or it could be lack of choices. Maybe this far from the center, the choices are seriously limited. Prices were seriously reasonable, but the canned sodas instead of fountain really threw me off. Nothing wrong with it, just hadn't seen that before, at least not for dine-in.

I've been having a craving for fried shrimp so I ordered it here. It was actually really tasty. We also got the sesame and general tso's chicken. Those seemed to have the same exact sauce on them. The rice was really yummy. Jo says they have his favorite crab rangoons. I'm sure we will order from here again because it is so close. Looking forward to trying other things on the menu.

I only have had take out from Sun Sun once. It seems to have potential but both the hot and sour soup and the pork fried rice were only mediocre. The hot and sour soup had a decent base but they went completely overboard with the red pepper flake (and I like spicy). The rice in the fried rice was slightly under cooked.

I have loved this Chinese Restaurant ever since they came to the north side of Jacksonville! I have since, moved away and when I came back to visit this weekend we inadvertently ordered from them again. I had the orange chicken (fresh and actual chopped chicken chunks, perfect orange sauce, fresh broccoli and generous portions) I must empathize, though, the REAL, juicy, and fresh chicken used by this restaurant. I was starting to worry.. Anyway the bf had chicken and broccoli and the culmination of hot and fresh made Sun Sun, by far the best the Chinese I have had in a long, long time. Super Excellent ^-^ The only Chinese take-out that I want in Jacksonville, period.

I would have use to give this restaurant a 5 but the last few times I have went I have ordered the customer service has not been so good. Its frustrating when the person taking your address can understand you and you have to repeat yourself 5 times. Also they forgot my sauce and when I called back to have them bring it to me, they said they were too busy to bring it. They ended up bringing it to me but no without attitude from the girl on the phone. Its really starting to rethink if I want to be a repeat customer again.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
