Maple Street Biscuit Company Menu

Sorry, We are updating this restaurant menu details.

We have been looking forward to experiencing Maple Street Biscuit Company since hearing about it from friends. We are avid fans of "The Metro Dinner" and were told on more than one occasion that this place was far better. The time frame came available to venture in. This was a difficult rating for me because of all the recommendations we heard. The staff is friendly and nice and I love the restaurant decor, but I just wasn't impressed with their food. The fried chicken was over seasoned tasted like a lot of salt in the sausage gravy and the bacon was okay but not very crispy. They did not complement each other at all. The flavors were all over the place. We also ordered a side of the Mac & Cheese. The texture was grainy and had an odd flavor profile. I found it odd when the server asked us the question "what was your favorite Christmas gift." Only to learn that the answer you provide is what they call out when your meal is ready for pick up. instead of taking your name like a normal restaurant, the cashier will ask you something like "What was your favorite childhood cartoon?" or "What makes you happy?" It's fun hearing the odd references . I am at odds with myself as to whether or not to come back and try this again.

Crowded today but moving quickly. The Crazy Egg and Edgewood Bakery on same street. Both great, but we prefer Maple Street. Something about the energy here is just fun. And of course the food is delicious.

This place is....no words...no words...A co-worker brought me once, and I've been back ever since. I cant stop going. At one point I was going everyday. Im an avid fan of the Iron Goat. Steamed spinach and goat cheese. Heavens to mergatroid. Not only is the food great bu the service takes it over the top. For me to frequent an establishment the service has to be top notch ...I dont care what they're selling. The staff here are upbeat, attentive and mindful. The manager (I think her name is Lori) is definitely a keeper. Ok now back to the food....obviously this is southern comfort food and you wouldnt probably eat here everyday but Im going to warn you that its diffucult to stay away. (Im gonna take a break to let my arteries clear, then Im going back)...oh wait..I have a date with my sister and nephew for breakfast here on Saturday.

Food is as good as the original location (San Marco) but the staff is even better!

As silly as it sounds, one of the things I judge a place on is how good their iced tea is. I placed my order, made my tea,and took a big swallow. Fresh and tasty,I knew it was a good sign ! And it was,the biscuits are fabulous, the hash round ups are to die for,the sausage gravy is the best Ive had in years, and the service was outstanding ! We will return, over and over (as long as they don't change the quality ! ).

Can't go wrong with anything on their menu. Love everything about this place! Though the Ralphie and the five and dime are my favorites, and also what I'd suggest to any newcomers. The coffee selection and add-ons are awesome too. My husband and I try to go every other weekend before we move to San Diego. Last time we went we showed up around noon and there was no line and more than a few places to sit, food for thought. ;)

An avid fan of the San Marco location I stopped in on opening day to welcome the third MSBC to Murray Hill. The space is by far the largest of the three and perhaps the coolest -- love the high-ceilings, ample natural light from the windows and the addition of a big round family-style table at the front, and a long table by the window complete with laptop and phone charging stations. (hello, free wi-fi!) The Maple Tap coffee is still self-serve and still deliciously full of flavor and the biscuits are just as fabulous as their cross-town counterparts. I grabbed a coffee and plain biscuit and side of apple butter to-go and ate it at my desk. Even 15 minutes later when I got to work it was delicious. My go-to when dining is the Garden Egg (fried egg over smoky collards doused with hot sauce + I add pepper jelly) so I'm eager to return. Could not be happier to have these guys closeby. Now, if they were only open on Sundays... *wink, wink, nudge, nudge*

My favorite breakfast in Jacksonville, HANDS DOWN! Super fun and friendly, the manager Chelsea, always comes and greets us when we eat at MSBC. My pick: the squaking goat. Goat cheese, peppered jelly, fried chicken, best breakfast! Also-- last weekend we tried the Fried Green Tomatoes and they were delicious. Maple Tap coffee somehow tastes like a slight hint of maple without any sweetener and cream alone. A must for anyone in Jacksonville.

The most fantastic experience at this place! The biscuits are beyond exceptional! The staff is so great! They really made it a memorable experience. I'd never been to Florida before, and yelp guided me to this place. The biscuits blew my mind and the apple butter was sooooo tasty! We tried their chicken and gravy and no wonder this place is a total hit. Everything is so fresh and all natural. Too bad I can't find biscuits like this in Austin. It'd definitely be my favorite place to eat breakfast or brunch if I lived out here. The whole staff was amazing and after telling them that we were from a different state they had plenty of suggestions to make our trip worth while. :) The interactive questions for when you give the name on your order were a great touch too! I love this place! I'll be back Florida buscuits. I'll be back...

Love love love, I'm trying really hard to try something new but the Farmer is too good to resist. I love that they have unique questions to call your order instead of just yelling your name out. I feel good eating here because it's beautiful, the food is tasty, and the workers are very kind.

I have eaten here twice in the last few days. It is fantastic! The food is great with large portions. The staff is very friendly and attentive. All the food is made to order, with the freshest local ingredients. This includes all their sauces and jams. Their coffee is fresh ground and brewed daily. If you haven't tried them then you are doing yourself a disservice.

Finally, I got to try the famous Maple Street Biscuit. Biscuits are what's for dinner, for real. I had the Loaded Goat biscuit and Mac and Cheese. The scratch made light and flaky biscuit was awesome! The chicken was moist and flavor filled, but the fried goat cheese medallion on top was the perfect topping. The goat cheese added the perfect compliment to the crispy fried chicken! The Mac and cheese was great, creamy yumminess, topped with crunchy cheese crackers. The place is very tastefully decorated, charming, and huge inside. Chelsea and the gang rocked w/customer service tonight. I'd highly recommend this one for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

I had the five and dime with oatmeal. I would recommend this place to everyone. Hot and fresh plus I like the way they call out your order. Great for kids also.

Our first visit here and we really enjoyed it. Of their three locations we visited the one in Murray Hill on Edgewood Ave just off Roosevelt Blvd. Friendly staff, good biscuits and a wide variety (of biscuits) on the menu. It was really good. I recommend it.

I have a feeling this will be a landmark breakfast spot in Jacksonville. The prices were amazing, most expensive meal is $8 and was more than enough, and the food is AMAZING! Definitely with checking out, next time I'm in JAX I will be coming back!

Great place! Order your food, find a spot. Get to know a neighbor. Several hot coffee options as well as an ice coffee one! Self serve, easy, quick and great. It's a great option if you want breakfast, brunch.

One of the best spots in Jacksonville. Hi made biscuits and fresh fried chicken with plenty of toppings to choose from. A must!!!

I had been wanting to eat here for sometime and finally got around to trying this spot. I ordered "The Five" and it was excellent. I could tell they used quality ingredients and it was cooked perfectly. The biscuit was indeed flaky, the chicken was tasty, and the bacon & cheese went together with the sausage gravy wonderfully. The price was fair and one biscuit was filling. The Maple Tap coffee tasted awesome as well! The staff was friendly and knowledgeable as well. Will be coming here for breakfast and coffee again.

The Five and Dime for the greatest combo of a biscuit, sausage gravy with a kick, bacon, cheese, and egg. Only want would be to have the egg fried soft - running yoke is the only way to go. I also sampled the pepper jam - very good as well. Quick turnaround on the food. Be sure you know what your dream job is because that's how you know your good is up!

I have been here twice. Once with my elderly aunt, after a difficult doctor's appointment in Riverside, we were treated extremely well. She had difficulties with table and chairs being so close together, but the food was very good. Second time was with my kids. We drove from Northside on a lazy Saturday morning and we enjoyed a good biscuit brunch. Both times, I have had to carry home a dozen of the 'sweet biscuits dripping with icing", ooh they were so bad for us, but ooh, so delicious!! I work nearby and have yet to make it there for lunch, but have it on my to do list. I have had the maple chicken & biscuit both times. My son had gravy & biscuit and daughter had a sweet sugar biscuit. My aunt had the bacon, egg & cheese. All were very tasty.

Five stars for awesome biscuits in delicious sandwiches. Game plan strategy: I love collard greens and sausage gravy, so my plan was to be able to sample both during our brunch. Sister got the Squawking Goat and I opted for the Garden Bird, only because she agreed the David Hashups (hashbrowns with sausage gravy). The only thing we didn't enjoy as much was the hashbrowns, which was purely just a personal taste preference. They were still quite good, with generous amounts of fresh peppers, ham, and cheese. We only wished that the potatoes were a bit more crisp on the outside. We got the David's hash ups with the sausage gravy on the side. In general, I love gravy in all forms. But man, did I love this gravy. Sister loved the pepper jelly; the pepper jelly really brought those flavor combinations together nicely. I took the my biscuit top and smothered it with the delicious gravy and ate it with joy. In all, both biscuit sandwiches were perfect taste combinations. Yumminess sandwiched in between flaky, buttery goodness. One thing that threw me for a loop was how they assign a name to your order when it's ready. I wasn't paying attention thoroughly (I was busy staring/salivating at the biscuits at the pick-up area) and didn't hear the question correctly. Service here is stellar for a counter service restaurant (customers pick up their orders, utensils, get their own drinks, and bus their own tables). Very welcoming and friendly, with several stopping by to make sure we were enjoying our meal thoroughly. Great place for vegetarians, as they have plenty of vegetarian options including a shiitake mushroom gravy. I like how they are able to show pictures of most menu items online and in the store; it really helps to get visuals for growling stomachs. Sadly, my FL vacation is over. I wish that there were Maple Street Biscuit Company locations in the DC/VA/MD area.

I've eaten from this location SEVERAL times, but I still can't believe it was my first trip actually inside this Maple Street yesterday.... A smaller location, but perfect for Murray Hill. We arrived at 9, and it wasn't packed, but the crowd did start coming in when we had to jet out around 10:15. I went classic with the Ralphie. You just can't beat that gravy, and I love, love, love the kick to the gravy, and big chunks of sausage to be devoured. Long live the biscuit, and MSBC is supreme! :)

You know, for all of the Maple Street hype, I really didn't find it over-the-top amazing. First, I don't care for the fact that you place your order at a counter & then have to hunt to find a table. (Albeit, it was a Saturday morning around 9:30 or so, so the place was jumping.) I ordered a coffee & the Iron Goat (sub collard greens for the spinach.) The biscuit was warm & soft, as you would expect from a restaurant with "biscuit" as its namesake. But they were awfully skimpy on the greens. Another large forkful would have been most welcome. The star of the show was the bottle of local sweet-hot sauce on the table that I drizzled on top. It really made the biscuit. But that was it--nothing more on the white plate but the small-ish sandwich. Not even an orange slice for some color. But, my in-laws ordered really well! Plain old biscuits & gravy. The gravy was so creamy & delicious. I'll admit I was jealous & suffered a pang of buyer's remorse! Coffee, like everything else here (including clearing your table upon finishing your meal), is self-serve, so you can refill your mug as many times as you like. They offer 3 or 4 coffee varieties which is really nice. The place is pretty modern, with a high ceiling, exposed beams & industrial feel. I treated the four of us--it came to $33 & change, which seemed quite high for a couple of biscuit sandwiches & coffees that you serve yourself. I don't know when we'll be back, but, if we do go--it will be the biscuits & gravy plate for me!

Delicious. Extraordinary. Amazing. The biscuits are made fresh all day and you can tell. Everyone who works there takes pride in what they do. The cashiers are very knowledgable and make great recommendations! My daughter liked their bacon and she hates bacon!

Oh how I adore thee, Maple Street Biscuit Company. Let me count the ways... The food. Top notch southern style fast casual fare. I tried the biscuit (of course, my rule is to always try the namesake item) with homemade blackberry/blueberry jam, homestyle grits, and fried green tomatoes. Hot, fresh, and downright delicious. The service. So helpful for a first timer like me. I love that they have a monthly question and your answer becomes your calling card when your food is ready. This time it was "who do you most admire?" It was fun hearing them call out names when food was ready. You can really get to know a person quickly there! The ambience. Clean, lots of seating, modernly rustic vibe. Communal tables. Fountain sodas and fresh coffee with refills. The location. Fun hip vibe with lots of stores and restaurants on the same street. Easy parking. I do wish they had later hours than 2pm, but I can deal. The value. Yes, it costs a little more than your average fast casual place depending on what you order, but the quality and service are well worth it.

The biscuits are great. The sides not so much. These biscuits are more than enough to fill you. I always get the five or five and dime. I love that spicy gravy. The farmer is really good too.

Tried the #5 Reinhold for the first time! Flaky biscuit, topped w/ dill pickle & maple syrup... DO NOT KNOCK IT UNTIL YOU TRY IT! The tartness of the dill pickle & syrup is very tasty! I love this place. The atmosphere is great & I love coming here on Saturday mornings because you get to see so many different people just enjoying themselves.

I love any restaurant that serves breakfast-y things all day long. In fact, if I ever become POTUS, my first act maybe to force all restaurants to serve at least one breakfast item each day. But I digress. Maple Street really does breakfast right. Light and airy biscuits, flaky fried chicken, sensational sausage gravy and The Loaded Goat (TLG). TLG is a chicken biscuit sandwich with goat cheese that is the perfect balance of textures with the crunchy chicken and the smooth goat cheese. It always popular with my lunch crew but there is a catch - it is so tall that it is tough to eat. (I break mine down and eat it with a fork so I can get the right ratio of Chic to Goat.) Another great menu item is the hearty servings of fried green tomatoes, which also have a little "kick". My kids love the fries and pastries they serve,so not all of it is hearty fare. In closing I want also give kudos to service, which is really something considering this is a counter service restaurant. However, every location I try of this chain is met with a cheery , friendly and helpful server.

I've been to this restaurant a few times and love it! We recently had our book club meeting here and the staff was awesome and accommodating with our group. Every time I go I try something different and its delicious every time. People may say its pricey. But you pay for good quality food, not crappy fast food like McDonalds. Their ordering system is great and its usually a question like who is your favorite cartoon character. When your food is ready, they call out the character name.

I visited for breakfast this morning and was really impressed with the design. The community tables are set up like the one in San Marco. I love the convenient location and am excited there are more quality restaurants coming to the Murray Hill area. Hopefully this will be another step in revitalizing this set of shops and bring more people to the area. It is very, very loud in here and can be hard to hear when your order is called. The menu is full of comfort foods that are bad for your waistline but so, so good for your tastebuds and satisfying that southern breakfast craving. I got a to-go menu for next time because more biscuit options were listed on it than the overhead boards. There are a lot of options, so it may be helpful to look at the menu online before going so you get an idea of what you want. The line was long, but manageable. The grits were creamy and smooth. I ordered the bacon egg and cheese biscuit-it was simple but delicious. The breakfast potatoes were also pretty tasty. Tip: sit wherever there is a spot, the community style encourages sitting with others and saying hello is perfectly okay! I will be returning-and then planning an intense gym sesh right after to work off all that sausage gravy. It is Mm-mm good and totally worth the occasional calorie splurge-check it out!

When you're in the mood for some good ole' fashion biscuits and gravy, I've got the perfect recommendation for you! Maple Street Biscuit Company! I did a review for the location in San Marco but since that one opened, there have been two more openings including this one that I recently visited, in Murray Hill. This location is definitely more spacious than the one in San Marco but equally as crowded. You can't deny that they've got some of the best chicken biscuits around. As always, the staff is super friendly and instead of an order number, they ask you a question and whatever your answer is will be what's called when your order is up. This particular Saturday morning, the question was "What's your favorite part about fall?" There so much I love about fall from the weather to Thanksgiving with family so that was a hard one for me but my friend told them the color of leaves. Maple Street has a coffee called Maple Tap and it is seriously some of the best coffee I've ever had! It's a must have! My friend Viv, wasn't really hungry for a biscuit so she got the macaroni and cheese with a side of bacon. I'm not a huge macaroni and cheese fan but I did get a little sampling of hers and the cheez-its on top really set the dish apart! It was definitely a nice touch to regular mac and cheese. I ordered the sticky maple biscuit, like I always do! It comes with a delicious southern fried chicken breast, bacon, and maple syrup! It's the best! One of these days I'll have to get one of their biscuits and homemade gravy. I hear it is phenomenal!

I really can't say much more about the food than what has already been said. I'm team Maple Street and my coworkers regard me as "the food expert" now that I've introduced them to this place. This location is gorgeous, so nicely done. Hoping people don't catch on to the new location tooooo quickly since I can still get in and out of here pretty fast on my lunch break.

This place sell the Best biscuit I've ever eaten if you have never been there go and try a biscuit I guarantee you will return I tried the sticky biscuit it's a chicken biscuit with syrup delicious.

I loved this place. We went for a late breakfast and ordered the chicken, cheddar, and apple butter sandwich and I got a side of Mac and cheese as well. The best part of the meal was for sure the biscuit! Our food wasn't hot but I wouldn't say it was cold either (I would have liked it to be a little hotter). We will be back to try the infamous 5.

Super flavorful lunch biscuit sandwiches and sides with sweet southern hospitality! I brought my family here and we ordered 5 different styles. This is the way to go if you don't mind sharing. I took a little bite from everyone's and added a side of Smokey Mountain Mac-N-Cheese & Hashups. Everything I ate more than met my expectations. So tasty! I will be back to try everything else on the menu. Can't wait...

I really am so glad that this place is closer to home. Their biscuits are always yummy. The staff here in Murray Hill is very helpful. If you can't decide what you want to eat they will give you suggestions which is always helpful. Every time we have been here the manager is present and making sure your food is what you want and you are enjoying it. I decided to go with the old standby of squawking goat again. Chicken with goat cheese and pepper jelly!

  • Stella M.

This was a difficult rating for me. The staff is friendly and nice and I love the restaurant decor, but I just wasn't impressed with their food. The biscuits are about the only thing that's good and it's hard to enjoy the biscuit when what is sandwiched in between it is extremely salty (collard greens and egg) or really dry (fried chicken). I also found two hairs in my collard greens... We also ordered their a side of their hash and that was something you could have gotten from your school's cafeteria. They did try making up the experience to us by bringing us a free side of pepper jam (which was still very sugary and I could not taste the pepper) and apple butter (more like apple sauce) and a cinnamon biscuit- which was actually pretty good. Their coffee was okay as well, but their dark roast wasn't the best. I wanted to like the place, but overall my experience just wasn't up to par.

Maple Street Biscuit Company is not just a breakfast place. I had the Blues Biscuit. Pulled pork with sweet coke slaw and bbq sauce. It was the Chicken Club for my wife and we shared a side of Sweet Potato fries with honey mustard. All was amazing!

  • Robert H.

This place is great. The biscuits/sandwiches are well done and Different. The are soft and doughy and yet not too heavy. Sadly, this place is not open on Sunday which is inevitably when you will want this yumminess (just like chic-fil-a). The seating can be tough if it's busy and it is semi communal. It gets busy often. Remember to know what you wanted to be when you grow up, that is what they call out to bring your food. If you haven't been, The Reinhold is really good!

I am so lucky to have two of these shops within a few miles of my apartment, but not close enough that my wallet is empty and my kitchen full of biscuits. I wasn't much of a biscuit person before moving to the South, but Maple Street makes them just the way I like them, puffy and fluffy and moist and amazing. No matter what I order, I usually grab a biscuit or two to take home and eat "for breakfast tomorrow" (but usually more like second breakfast today!). And then there's what they put on top of those tasty biscuits -- chicken and bacon and fried eggs and all the good breakfast staples, but also some amazing goat cheese and apple butter and maple syrup that make the biscuit sandwiches into perfection. And the last time I was there I got adventurous and tried their "Bob" hashups, which involve pork and potatoes and peppers and onions and cheese and some kind of voodoo magic because I wanted to keep eating after I was full, halfway through. A perfect breakfast to share, or to save for later! What makes Maple Street really special is the atmosphere. Everyone is happy to eat here, whether they're in suits or skinny jeans or diapers, and you might find yourself striking up a conversation in line with a stranger, even if you're a little antisocial like me. And you get a chance to learn about these strangers when you hear their orders called, because instead of taking your name like a normal restaurant, the cashier will ask you something like "What was your favorite childhood cartoon?" or "What makes you happy?" It's a lot of fun hearing "DuckTales!" and "Wild Kratts!" while you're waiting for your Ninja Turtles to arrive. And then you get to eat!

We had dinner here Saturday night, BEYOND AMAZING! The Menu might seen intimidating with so many combinations, but the staff is ready with a photo tutorial. Srsly, it's a brilliant idea. We started with fried green tomatoes. They were crispy and perfectly cooked, with nice surprise of heat in the coating. Served with a blue cheese sauce, also unique. And then the sweet potato fries with honey mustard...I don't normally like sp fries but these were fabulous. Crispy wedges, not a speck of extra oil, and perfectly salted. I had the Iron Goat - goat cheese and sauteed spinach on the most prefect biscuit you could ever imagine. With a side of house made pepper jelly. My cousin ordered the Squawk on the Street. I think she enjoyed it. I was too giddy to ask. And just when I thought it couldn't possibly get any better the assistant manager Michael noticed our enthusiasm (it's hard not to notice a grown woman bouncing in her seat) and brought us dessert. A cinnamon chip pecan biscuit smothered in a simple glaze. Everything a cinnamon roll wants to be and isn't. Delicious. Of course we ordered too much food. And we ate it all! Fingers crossed for rapid expansion to central florida.

This place is amazing. It is a bit of a challenge to find but totally worth it. They make absolutely everything in-house including all their sauces. This was the best restaurant we went to on our trip of Florida and South Carolina. I really liked their sausage gravy. It has a good bite to it. I would recommend the five n dime meal. It is a biscuit sandwich with fried chicken, cheese, pecan smoked bacon, and fried egg all covered in sausage gravy. If you are looking for something a bit more sweet their iced cinnamon biscuits are also amazing. Lastly the place has a great community feel and is an enjoyable place to eat at.

Flaky hot biscuits with a wide selection of fixings to make it over the top. The five and dime is a popular choice with a crispy chicken breast, bacon, and cheese topped with an egg and a generous amount of sausage gravy. Gravy has a touch of heat to it giving it a great flavor. Or try the farmer which has Apple butter on your biscuit slog with the chicken. Yummy. Can't go wrong with any choice here. Served hot and fresh. Fun part is their question of the day you have to answer to pick up your order. Today's was where would you like to visit in the world.

I love Maple street biscuit company and am so happy that they opened up a location in Murray hill. The restaurant is larger then their location in San Marco and the large windows allows a lot of natural light in creating a wonderful environment. This company has the most friendly and warm staff in Jacksonville. I have been to the Murray hill location three times since they opened and each time, I have been warmly greeted and taken care of. The five is my favorite sandwich but It is so rich that I have to share it with my husband. The coffee selection is impressive and If you have not tried the biscuit with just maple syrup, I would recommend it as a nice dessert. I also love the that they do not accept tips. I was talking to one of the employees about this and the company does this to promote warm and friendly service without wanting a customer to feel obliged to tip.

This is definitely my new favorite breakfast place in Jacksonville, for a few reasons. While there are a ton of great places to get breakfast/brunch in the Riverside/Avondale/Murray Hill area, what sets Maple Street Biscuit Company apart is: 1) The size of the space - unlike a lot of the other breakfast places that we go to (Cool Moose, The Fox, etc) the Murray Hill location of Maple Street is large and spacious and offers a ton of seating; even when the line is practically out the door, you can usually find a seat at one of their small or communal tables. 2) The service - I feel terrible that I can't remember her name, but one of the young women who has been working at Maple Street from the beginning walks around checking on all the customers, and is very friendly and helpful. The last time my husband and I were there our order of hash-ups never came out, so she went back into the kitchen, got one made, and brought it out to us herself. She then apologized (even though it was not at all her fault and we weren't even upset) and gave us complimentary cinnamon biscuits. I don't think I've ever had service like that at a breakfast place, and I definitely won't forget it. 3) The food - I have no idea what it is about their biscuits that are so much better than other place's biscuits, but they are. Also, the bacon, which is pecan smoked I think? Is phenomenal. I normally get an egg, bacon, and cheese biscuit with an order of their signature hash-ups, and it is always fantastic and delicious. I'm really happy that there's this location now in Murray Hill, I'll be frequenting it a lot!

Okay the prices are ridiculous for what you get. No biscuit should be more than five dollars. It is a biscuit biscuits are cheap and doesn't matter where you get one from they all taste about the same with some minor differences. That being said this biscuit is as good as any other biscuit. The maple syrup is not very strong for a maple a syrup. That problem lies in we are in Florida and Maple syrup comes from New England. I got the fried chicken and bacon biscuit. The fried chicken was over seasoned tasted like a lot of sage and the bacon was okay but not very crispy. The two did not complement each other at all the flavors were all over the place. They put maple syrup on the plate and it was nearly flavorless. It cost 7 dollars. My wife order a sausage egg and cheese biscuit. McDonald's makes a better sausage egg and cheese biscuit and it is less than three dollars. Their SEC biscuit is 6 dollars. I would expect better quality even if it is just a plain old SEC biscuit at 6 dollars. Complete rip off. The hash-ups sucked. Flavorless mushy potatoes and definitely not worth four dollars. The Coffee Bard, was called roasters, on Old St Augustine road does the roasting of the coffee for them, at least the maple, and it is stellar. The dark Amber is great to. All in all this is another place typical of the offerings in Jacksonville. The price is high but the quality is low. IF it were 5 and under I would give it 4 stars but at this price and this low quality I will not be going back.

This place is amazing, I love it!! The food is always delicious and the service is on time. The Ralphie is my favorite, biscuits and gravy with a spicy kick almost as good as moms, the five and dime is awesome, and that maple coffee is a must. Today I had an issue which I was solely responsible for and the manager Michael completely took care of me fixed everything personally. I would recommend this place to anyone!

Loved this place! We both had a biscuit sandwich. Biscuits were flaky and tender, chicken was very well seasoned and crispy. Super nice and helpful staff. Also, the food came out fresh and very fast. Looking forward to my next visit!

My friend and I stopped in this morning right at 7am. We come in about three times a month. Every time we come in its a really nice experience. This time I felt the entire staff, the cashier Michael especially did a really awesome job. One worth noting. Michael was polite, charismatic, and very sweet to us. He seemed very in tune with any of our wants or needs. Our food was on point (as always). It was an overall really wonderful experience!! I will continue to come back maybe more often now. You guys are awesome!!!!

Love this place. It was fast service, lots of fresh options, and a cool and clean atmosphere. The staff is attentive and genuine. The biscuits and gravy is the best I've ever had (including my mama's but don't tell her) and the hash browns were just right. Make this your next breakfast spot, there are a few locations around Jax.

Great addition to Murray Hill. They did a great job on the renovation and look! Had the chicken biscuit with pepper jelly, loved it. Only wish they had wet-naps so I could clean my sticky fingers. I'll use a fork and knife next time. Liked their coffee. I look forward to having breakfast there with my husband in the future so I can split one of their bigger, yummier, gravy-laden biscuits. It's a little pricey, but no one has a menu like theirs. Truly unique. Can't wait til the next time. ..

If there is anywhere in the world (real or imaginary) besides Ireland, it would be back the Maple Street Biscuit Co. on Edgewood. The "Five and Dime" is simply the best breakfast sandwich I've ever had. Their homemade country gravy is just as excellent as my wive's (yes, I love her cooking given she is a professional chef). The "David" Hashups are friggin awesome, if I lived here, I'd definitely eat there everyday. However, if I roll through town again, I'd for sure being stopping in for some great grub!!

I've visited this location with family and friends 3 or 4 times now and we love it. The food is as good as everyone says, and the staff are really friendly and helpful. I ate there recently and placed a to go order near closing time, and they gave me an extra large portion just to be nice. I can see why this restaurant is growing so well. One of my favorite places to eat in Jax. Give it a try!!

Went to MSBC about 10 days ago after arriving from Chicago to visit family for the holidays. Jumped on Yelp to find some lunch and came across this gem. It was in an out of the way spot but the street it's on is quirky and fun. Stepped in off the street not sure what we'd find and we were immediately approached by an employee that was extremely friendly and helpful in explaining what we were supposed to do. She also went over a few of their specialties with us. We all couldn't get passed the first thing on the menu so we ordered four orders of the Five. It was a delicious biscuit, with fried chicken, bacon, cheese and then smothered in sausage gravy, a real diet meal... but so worth it!! We also shared an order of fried green tomatoes that were delicious. I wouldn't hesitate to go back but I would be remiss if I didn't at least mention that we were a bit disappointed in the fact that they were busy but our lunch came out with just barely warm gravy. Everything else was piping hot but cooled down too fast with gravy that wasn't equally hot. I will definitely go back the next time we're in that neck of the woods. Service was really good!

What a great place! Love the creative biscuits. Think of it as a sandwich...The Squawking Goat was great especially the fried goat cheese and homemade pepper jelly.

Biscuits any way you like them. Fast hot and filling. Great open concept design that should accommodate the large crowds that will fill the place soon This location already has one fabulous breakfast place with crazy egg down the street. But maple street will also be open for dinner on Friday and Saturday nights. Great bonus for Murray hill and riverside

The biscuits are great. The sides not so much. These biscuits are more than enough to fill you. I always get the five or five and dime. I love that spicy gravy. The farmer is really good too.

Can't go wrong with anything on their menu. Love everything about this place! Though the Ralphie and the five and dime are my favorites, and also what I'd suggest to any newcomers. The coffee selection and add-ons are awesome too. My husband and I try to go every other weekend before we move to San Diego. Last time we went we showed up around noon and there was no line and more than a few places to sit, food for thought. ;)

Delicious. Extraordinary. Amazing. The biscuits are made fresh all day and you can tell. Everyone who works there takes pride in what they do. The cashiers are very knowledgable and make great recommendations! My daughter liked their bacon and she hates bacon!

  • Sara M.

Loved this place! We both had a biscuit sandwich. Biscuits were flaky and tender, chicken was very well seasoned and crispy. Super nice and helpful staff. Also, the food came out fresh and very fast. Looking forward to my next visit!

I was on a road trip from Miami to DC, and we happened to pass by Jacksonville. Of course, like a true yelper, I pulled out my phone to see if there were any good places, and because of all the good reviews, I decided to make a stop. My friends ordered the Five and a dime and Hash-ups and I ordered the BLT. My BLT was pretty good, the biscuits were definitely warm and flaky. But the biscuit itself wasn't anything out of the ordinary to be honest. My friend's Five and a dime was a bit disappointing. Five and a dime seemed to be the most popular item, according to yelpers, so I guess I might have had too high of an expectation. It was mediocre at best. The gravy was a little bit too peppery for me. I am not sure what the hype is about.

Maple Street Biscuit Company is not just a breakfast place. I had the Blues Biscuit. Pulled pork with sweet coke slaw and bbq sauce. It was the Chicken Club for my wife and we shared a side of Sweet Potato fries with honey mustard. All was amazing!

Great place! Order your food, find a spot. Get to know a neighbor. Several hot coffee options as well as an ice coffee one! Self serve, easy, quick and great. It's a great option if you want breakfast, brunch.

Delicious. Extraordinary. Amazing. The biscuits are made fresh all day and you can tell. Everyone who works there takes pride in what they do. The cashiers are very knowledgable and make great recommendations! My daughter liked their bacon and she hates bacon!

    (4)

Can't go wrong with anything on their menu. Love everything about this place! Though the Ralphie and the five and dime are my favorites, and also what I'd suggest to any newcomers. The coffee selection and add-ons are awesome too. My husband and I try to go every other weekend before we move to San Diego. Last time we went we showed up around noon and there was no line and more than a few places to sit, food for thought. ;)

We will return, over and over (as long as they don't change the quality ! ).

Love love love, I'm trying really hard to try something new but the Farmer is too good to resist. I love that they have unique questions to call your order instead of just yelling your name out. I feel good eating here because it's beautiful, the food is tasty, and the workers are very kind.

Crowded today but moving quickly. The Crazy Egg and Edgewood Bakery on same street. Both great, but we prefer Maple Street. Something about the energy here is just fun. And of course the food is delicious.

Loved this place! We both had a biscuit sandwich. Biscuits were flaky and tender, chicken was very well seasoned and crispy. Super nice and helpful staff. Also, the food came out fresh and very fast. Looking forward to my next visit!
